good evening my dear J Warriors I know you are tired after the paper discussion but this session is not just for the J 2024 but also for the 2025 and 2026 and 2027 and maybe even 2030 so guys remember this session is for everyone and trust me there is so much that you might not know and and you know this kind of awareness and this kind of uh you know information is very rare to get so let's let's start this amazing session uh where we are going to you know obviously go J versus Olympiad uh and allout War and we're going to see what is the difference of J and Olympiad and some of you will be like sir what the hell is Olympiad sir J Ms I know J advance I know what what is Olympiad so we're going to learn about that also and for that we have the amazing Master teacher AB sir who has been teaching for more than 15 years so how many of you kids are below 15 years of age sir was born sir was teaching even before you guys came into existence over here so realize okay so that level of expertise that level of experience so guys yeah this is this is the live session welcome Akash welcome into welome welcome comre welcome Imran ukuk nice to see everyone knows the winner you know who is the winner going to be I'll tell you right now the winner is going to be you understand that okay in a match of two teachers the winner is always the student because the student will learn from teacher one teacher two both remember that okay so let's call upon AB sir welcome AB sir AB sir has been teaching with us in vantu for the last five years hello hi hi everyone uh uh I I thank you sh sir for inviting me to this amazing Channel and I've been following you all and I I've taken a bit of classes also before you you came here but uh uh so so good to be here and today it is going to be a very interesting session and uh we're going to have very interesting questions very interesting things to tell you and uh so let's start sir I think uh yes let's start and before we begin make sure you smash the like button for me to you do every day for ab sir you do it subscribe for a okay so you learn what an amazing amazing teacher a is I mean trust me guys a can solve math questions and give puzzling questions to you and give those Solutions also in a very interesting I think I think we are going to give some puzzles some questions to sha today let's see he was able to solve today right so so let's do that guys let's do that and we are going to challenge sh sir and see how how it goes guys I'm telling you my brain is not working right after discussions so I think a you have put some questions also yes yes I have certain questions with you I'm not shown it to sh sir so it is going to be a surprise for him so let's see how how does it oh so this is so this is one question which I which we give to our students when they join us for the first time our batches right so so this is uh a question which they can attempt irrespective of what the class they are in right so whether you're in fifth or sixth or sth or eth or 9th or 10th or even college going student uh it'll be a very interesting problem so let us uh okay yeah okay so sir what I'm going to do is these are the rules okay you can use these four numbers 1 3 4 6 and again guys if you want you can help sh sir right so please help me so you have to use 1 3 4 6 and each number has to be used exactly once okay once every number has to be used only ones we can use okay I'm going to write a number here you have to make this number using these four numbers okay and what you can do is you can you are allowed four basic operators that is the plusus minus Division and multiplication right so this is something that you learned from class six uh Class 2 third fourth and again The Operators can be used more than once you can do do two two multiplication two division more than that but again these numbers have to be used exactly once okay so I'm I'm going to give you a number sh sir are you ready for this okay I'm ready are you ready put up some fire Emoji in the chat box quickly quickly put up some fire Emoji in the chat box are you ready because I'm not ready wow very good okay sir please give so sir I'm going to start with a very simple problem and then uh maybe it will get tricker trickier okay so 73 sir 73 okay let's see 73 sir 73 you have to use all these numbers all these numbers exactly once I think you're there sir you're there 6 into 4 2 4 and then into 3 72 + 1 amazing amazing so Shar sir is the winner 0.1 okay point one to sh sir so sh sir says amazing sir very well done very well done being a physics teacher I mean this is this is kind of very amazing that you're able to do these kind of calculations very quickly okay so 6 into 4 into 3 + 1 but again there's nothing you know I mean this was very easy yeah now sir you have to apply your brains okay okay are you ready yeah where is the razor sir oh I think okay okay all right so the next number for you is 24 ooh this is going to be interesting okay all the numbers to be used exactly once anyone anyone maybe you can help him okay you have to use all the numbers so 62 one I mean you have to use all the numbers all the numbers to be used exactly once okay okay okay okay try some you can think out aloud if you want to okay I'm just thinking like because 24 6 4 are 24 1 so plus 3 - 1 I can't do 3 4 are 12 12 + 6 18 18 + 1 no not possible so maybe 1 + 4 5 5 3 is are 15 15 + 6 no 21 not possible okay then what else sir okay I'm running out of ideas 6 into 4 is 24 but we have to use other number you have to use all the numbers guys 6 into 4 is not enough three also one and three also all the numbers have to be used exactly once also uh 6 into 4 - 3 + 1 I don't think that will be 24 how will it how will that be 24 no okay 1 + 3 4 4 4 are 16 16+ no not possible 6 + 47 no no no sir I'm not getting it like impossible or something no it it is possible it is possible can we do like Powers also anything three ra to no that is not powers are not allowed only only these four operators okay okay guys you can help sir uh 6 3 - 1 2 2 4 8 uh no okay - 1 2 2 4 8 8 no not possible close enough 62 no 6 3 wait two guys please help me are please help me please help me 6 into 3 + 4 + 1 that is not going to be 24 6 plus 6 18 plus something minus will be there I think there will be some minus over here so if it is minus then of course you have to think of making 25 25 yeah probably okay sir I give up okay so so this is what we call out of the box thinking right so so this is something which uh you know we have to learn uh when we are in maybe class 7th eight right so so these kind of ideas have to get into the mind of the students and this is something which textbooks are not giving to the students right now okay all right so so the the way students approach or we ask students to approach is 24 is it a multiple of any of these numbers of course it is a multiple of 1 3 4 and six so let's take six okay so it's a multiple of six right right now you need four with it right but this four you have to make it with 1 three and four four correct right so this is out now if you apply normal addition subtraction multiplication you might not be able to make four with 1 3 and four right so whatever you do 1 + 3 or plus 4 whatever you will not be able to make four okay now you think out of the box can you make 1x4 with 1 3 and four oh that is allowed one by reciprocals yeah so it's basic operator right Division division oh right so can you make 1x4 with 1 three and four yeah we can so it is very simple now it is not very hard to think that it is 1 - 3 and we done wow too good this is too good I love this question smash the like button this is too good right so so this is this is the first thing that we do with our students when they join our Olympiad batches right so so it is it is so Olympiad a lot of students think that it is different from whatever we do at schools but it is not it is whatever you do at schools you have to learn to apply the same and and think out of the box right so this is what Olympiad is all about it is improving your ability to think out of the box and improving your logical skills right so so uh so these kind of questions uh I mean we do I mean the good thing about this is Sir you didn't actually need anything extra it's just that we are trained to think in this way and being a j teacher I'll tell you something even J exams are crackable and lot of students think J exams are not crackable yes they're difficult they're competitive and the questions are also repeative but very rarely forget J me J Advance also the questions are not very very out of the box but there are few questions which are out of the box and for that you need to really really push your thinking capabilities and those are the students who get into iits is that right yes true true so there's something called so uh there's a phrase that we use we we call it problem solving skills right so this is one skill which is missing from the students who are only and only looking at their school curriculum in class 8 9 10th so so what is problem solving skills it is if you approach a problem which you don't know the solution of right so and you don't have the formula also can you do you have the ability to solve that problem on your own without using any formula to so this is something which is required to if you want to crack exams like J Advanced Mains of course it is there there are more or less the direct question approach but for exams like J Advance it is a problem solving skills so these kind of things they help build those problem solving skills and they don't only help in mathematics but also in other subjects like physics and chemistry because once you know problem solving algorithm is done uh you you can take up any language so uh a sir uh is there some jmains question or J question which you feel can be solved easily using some trick which otherwise looks crazily difficult are you guys ready for such a question okay so there are a lot of Concepts which are not taught while you prepare for J in mathematics I'm talking about uh and so let us have a look at one question so so this question looks very daunting right so 64 to the part 32 to 32 and you have to find the remainder when it is divided by 9 and of course there's a concept called binomial theorem which you can apply and and solve this but someone who's prepared for olympiads he can solve this question orally right so orally yes orally these kind of questions are soled guys if you had to solve this would you also use binomial theorem and like so most of the students are preparing for J would use binomial theorem and it would take around 2 to 3 minutes to find the answer to this question correct but it is a 1 second question if you know a particular concept so there's a concept called congruence of numbers okay okay so congruence of numbers is is there so I I'll not get into the concept because that that is going to make things very boring but uh 64 when divided by 9 gives remainder one right so this is how we write right so same thing in English would be read as 64 when divided by 9 gives remainder one so this is how we write it mathematically right and there's a property that 64 to the ^ n is congruent to 1 the^ N 9 okay should raise to the power 64 with any power 32 whatever this is write a little bigger sir I think are not so 64 to the^ 32 to the^ 32 would be congruent to 1 to the^ 32 to the^ 32 mod 9 and 1 to the any power is one right so this is the remainder so remainder is one already one right so so we don't have to do any things so most of the questions which are involve binomial theorem uh a lot of students are able to solve this just by looking at it it's like a chemistry question coming to them when which is a straightforward uh which has a straightforward answer right so so and this is just one concept there are a lot of other Concepts which are involved which help in so this is the direct benefit that we call right so direct benefit is a lot of slay of math oit is common with J slay but again this is of not that much importance you might feel it you know you might get a wow Feeling by looking at it but let me tell you guys this is not even 1% of uh the students who prepare for olympiads do yes so this is the theorem property when you divide it by n so this is exactly like you can see sir has written down this theorem is exactly for nine so Anushka this works for only for 9 okay I I hope you know that and you can use it for other things other this is something that you can use for any numbers right so number when divided by 9 gives remainder one right so this is how you put it mathematically right so uh basically now you really I'm pretty sure you would have got a w like feeling right now looking at these questions but okay fine is there any direct benefit versus are there any indirect benefits of you know preparing for uh olympiads and especially at a young age uh if you're preparing for it what is my benefit uh as a student and my benefit as a parent uh should I really enroll for Olympia classes if I'm scared about board exams and you know you thinking sir what is this Olympiad level sir I'm not able to pass board exams only I'm not getting 90% in boards let me tell you one simple thing guys uh even I got a small taste of Olympiad When I Was preparing for my J and I regretted not doing it you know very late after my J was over whereas my friends had joined the Olympiad classes and their rank difference was more than 1,000 2,000 you be sir, 2,000 not much difference but when the ranks we are talking about is 3,000 and 2,000 my friends are at 1,000 all India rank so then 4,000 seats back then 4,000 seats back then then I was like oh my God I should have done this Olympiad preparation so let's hear from Sir what are the direct as well as the indirect benefits in fact I also have the similar story I was not into Olympiad prepared for J got uh you know 20400 rank or something but uh a lot of my friends who were into olympiads back then uh they are in the top 100 right so so so this is one uh uh area or one question which is put forward to us by the parents by the students so why prepare for olympiads I mean what will we get how will how we are going to benefit so uh I put this into two headers so one is there are direct benefits and there are certain indirect benefits so direct benefits are something which is tangible I mean you can measure those uh and and indirect are something of course which are much more than that in terms of uh uh the the strength but let us go to direct benefits so sir uh of course in physics also there is the Olympiad NP and for maths also there is the third round called inmo so students who clear inmo so there are around 60 students uh every year who clear the inmo exam and they are invited for the camp those 60 students can get direct admissions into IAT W and isi without writing J this is super cool this is super cool just imagine directly getting into I Bombay or is Kolkata Bangalore directly without you can just chill man I mean like so so this Branch BS mathematics you have to secure around 1,500 to 1600 rank uh to get into this branch and if you are there amongst those 60 students who crack inmo uh you you are there you don't have to write J so this year we had out of the 14 students who cracked in MO from Vu lard School uh there were around eight students who were in eth n9th or 10th wow now the pressure is of them if if they want to prepare for J it is it is definitely of them because they're already sitting at 1600 rank without even starting before reaching 11 even starting preparing okay they they've already got the seat they've already reached there and of course there are other math institutes like isi Kolkata Bangalore CMI triple Hyderabad I gandh nagar has opened all its seats uh for the students who crack inmo and there are other iits which are following this right so so this is something which is direct and of course the other is if you prepare for lump around 40% of maths layby is is is common with your J slby right so so someone who's prepared who's starting preparing for math from class 8th onwards or 9th or 10th uh he's already done around 40% of math slby right so this is something that you can measure right but but most importantly it is the indirect benefits which is of prime importance the first is of course the chance to represent India so if you click uh crack IO and you get into the Indian team you have a chance so it is basically Olympia of mathematics and the whole world is is is looking at the this event uh uh the the event is called IMO International maths Olympiad all the big companies all the big shorts all the Nobel Prize winners they look at this event because uh you know the best minds of the world are in that particular event and of course you have a chance to represent your country at at the age of 15 or 16 that is one of the most important things that is like the Olympics for educ for academics yes academics and of course uh for every round you get Merit certificates which you can always put in your resume they have a lot of values uh right so so there are other olymp also the private ones which students clear they don't have much value but these one the ones which are conducted by government of India they have a lot of value and if you want to get into some company which needs academicians uh of course this is going to really help you uh the other is of course it lays a very strong Foundation as I said uh uh this these examinations they teach you problem solving skills this is one thing the one key key takeaway you can take for for for preparing olympiads they teach you problem solving skills and uh ultimately help you to prepare for exams like J and neat and like I said never seen before problem so this is the trademark of uh uh the J kind of question J Advance kind of questions so most of the questions a lot of questions which are asked in J Advance which actually make a difference to your rank are the questions which you have not seen before and you on the spot have to you know solve those problems on your own uh but but for someone who's already learned these skills they're able to crack at those uh particular questions with great ease and of course it improves your logical and thinking levels right so these are the benefits which are not tangible you cannot measure them but they are huge as compared to the direct benefits uh that are there true and I remember my days also sir uh during preparation I had just chuma went to the exam Hall I because my friends are writing Olympiad exam I went to the Olympiad exam I didn't even know what the paper pattern is like so I saw there were only five questions back then uh I don't know which exactly the paper was five questions that's it yes and there were I think two or three hours given I literally didn't know head and tail what I should do for the next 2 hours but I you know for me it was like a challenge that okay I should do something and I felt very happy solving half a question based on my J knowledge yes and I was so happy at least I got half marks and whatever half question marks but the real excitement would have definitely come had I been actually training for Olympiad and use that knowledge for J preparation or any other exam preparation I mean that feeling is only next level in fact sir we should give them a homework also before telling them one big surprise by the way there is a big surprise waiting for all of you so don't go anywhere this is your homework question sir the answer also we have given but let let's see who gives the solution yes so basically this is a question which is a previous J Mains question as you can see and uh so again it's a based on the similar concept which we we discussed a while back so you can if you know the concept of congr you will be surprised that this question you'll be able to do within a minute but uh if you know don't know that uh the Cong concept then you might take around four to 5 minutes using bomal to do this question so so again I would want you to try out these question particularly the ones who are in class 11th and 12th and I'm sure with the kind of with with the knowledge that you have of binomial theorem you'll be able to solve this but again let me tell you this particular question uh using the concept congr would take around 30 seconds not more than that okay okay so let's get to the exciting news guys so I know you guys are all waiting to learn from Ab sir so you know uh there is a big big news awaiting all of you and guess what we already have a Olympiad Channel but this time we have taken up up a notch higher and we have made it in English so you know what is the reason for this I'll tell you 3 4 years back when we started the vantu J English Channel lot of students from South India sir they were deprived of quality education and there are many channels in Hindi and other uh you know things but the moment we started it we started seeing a lot of students getting awareness about J and need and they have started performing really well we have started seeing so many better percentiles from South India and now the same thing is happening in Olympia 2o we can see lot of of ranks are coming from different other parts of the country but that awareness and that quality teachers are missing which we have finally filled and we now have the vantu Olympiad School in English and where do you find it sir can also tell more about this channel I'll just show you where you can find it it's uh there in the description box of this video I need to go to YouTube and uh all you need to do is um we will see yeah this is the one okay yes yeah in this particular video as you are watching it you don't have to search also anywhere just go down do you see subscribe to vantu Olympiad School Channel just click on this particular link it's just started and we need your help to grow yes so so as rightly pointed by S we have a lot of students from other parts of country who are doing really well in olympiads and most of our selections in the inmo round also are from uh the the northern part but I know for the fact that this part has a lot of uh you know there's no dir of talent in in in this part just that there's a lack of awareness and we already had a vand Lampard School channel uh but again the most of the teaching there was in Hindi mode Hindi plus a bit of English but again we didn't want to miss out on this particular thing and we we are here to help you out and uh everything is going to be in English it is going to start from the basics we're going to tell each and everything about the Olympiad not only mathematics but we're also coming up with other subjects like physics Olympiad and chemistry Olympiad on this particular Channel and we're going to start things from the basic it is for the every student starting from class 8th till class 12th and there's a lot of Olympiad stuff all about Olympiad different Olympiad that you should be giving and how you should be preparing for olympiads uh what are the right steps what are the right books how should be you be approaching things uh a lot of Concepts we'll be discussing of mathematics and physics and chemistry and uh every subject so very excited to be uh uh you know showing it to you and please make sure that you subscribe so that you don't miss out on this amazing thing and uh that's it uh yeah so guys remember these channels no they are a treasure mines they are gold mines uh it might not show up on your regular YouTube feed you know because you have lot of audience for you know neat and J but these are these hidden channels and very rarely you know students actually uh you know learn from this and the students who learn they realize their importance and they're very silent and you know these uh kids who will not tell about what their resources are so we are showing that Hidden Gem for all of you so make sure you talk about this channel to as many friends as possible I know you're going to hit the Subscribe button and see we have just hit the Subscribe button out here and you are also going to click on all so that you get all those notifications but it's also your responsibility to talk about this channel to your friends and attend the classes by AB sir a lot of you are saying sir we need a talk show by you definitely AB sir is going to be talking talking talking teaching teaching teaching only on this channel so you need to be there all right yeah so so that's it guys thank you for for listening to this and make sure that you tell this to your friends and other other people and uh the content is going to be awesome and everything that is going to be taught here is going to definitely help you in some form or the other beat Olympiad beat J beat neat a lot of our students by the way sir are are need need need preparation yeah so join us just for that uh problem solving ability skill abilities and true through that okay thank you so much a and God bless you all uh do not forget to like And subscribe even to this channel byebye Take Care thank you so
