the New Orleans Saints are giving me real super bold Dark Horse Vibes in an uncertain NFC South the Saints look like a legitimate team that have significantly improved that quarterback putting them in a good position to top the division but it is still hard to gauge the performance of this team due to the many question marks within their lineup however I think their daring move to get quarterback Derek Carr and their hopes for a healthier lineup could lead to better results after a disappointing 2022 season if offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael can follow in Sean Payne's footsteps and find success in the offense while head coach Dennis Allen and defensive coordinator Joe wood keep the defense steady they will definitely be a lock to win the division according to DraftKings Sportsbook the Saints are most likely to top the NFC south at plus 120 odds the Saints have tested different quarterbacks over the last two seasons but decided to say farewell to the taysom hill Jameis Winston Andy Dalton experiments in favor of a trusted veteran quarterback in Derek Carr now with cars starting and taysom Hill and Jameis Winston being his backups this depth at quarterback is great where a much easier division this offense was once the best in the league and if this Saints offense and these skill players can stay healthy in 2023 it would do wonders for Derek Carr's overall success but if they don't you might be looking at another disappointing Derek Carr season the Saints talented receiving core will now have a legitimate point guard for the offense that can dish the ball all around the field people often forget how much of receiving back Alvin Kamara is as receiving running backs always help new quarterbacks and systems being an outlet for checkdowns and dump off passes in the backfield if the Saints can stay out of their own way and utilize their Dynamic offense they can literally shred any defense in the NFC especially the NFC South so it is very important that deadly and when Alvin Kamara is reunited with the team this could be the best running back room in the entire league the Saints are also hopeful about a potential healthy Michael Thomas hitting the field who hopes her return to his 2019 form I really like how he matches with Derek Carr's play style of a short and intermediate throws the offense will gain massive benefits from a better quarterback on defense the whole front line except for Cameron Jordan is pretty much gone along with some backup players such as linebacker Kaden Ellis and cornerback PJ Williams the Saints are hoping for immediate success from first and second round picks Ryan Bracey and Isaiah foskey I truly believe bursee will make a push for an All-Pro spot in year two and three if he stays healthy and Notre Dame Edge Isaiah foskey is a very good pass rusher adding to the threat of this d-line week one I am hoping to see these rookies fill the place of Marcus Davenport who got traded to the Minnesota Vikings this off season Davenport will be missed as his high pass rush win rate made opposing quarterbacks act faster also their second best pass rusher David onamata to left for the Falcons the Saints ended 2022 ranked as the lowest in pass rush win rate as a team and they might have gotten worse with Davenport and onyamata's departure it is going to be very important that these new rookies come to play immediately however there is another player that has been getting overlooked Marshawn Lattimore and I'm just ready for this veteran to come back into a spot at the cornerback one position with Latimore's return from injury this will mean more defensive success with Latimore's return from injury this will mean more defensive success even if pulse in a Debo is a weak spot opposite of Latin the defense did very solid as the New Orleans Saints had the second best pass defense in 2022 only allowing 184 yards per game and 60 percent completion rate to opposing quarterbacks the Saints allowed just one 300 yard passer all year and that was Joe burrow in week six this secondary will do even better with Latimore at a hundred percent Health the New Orleans Saints have a fan-based
