You know, at no point does the guy ask the fundamental question. It’s not just about if Bezos and Amazon hurts the market, it’s that one guy has unduly influence and power over billions of people all over the world. We’ve seen what can happen when companies like Facebook prioritize profits over people and social stability. The fact of the matter is, Jeff Bezos wields too much power for one corruptible human being to own and that power shouldn’t rely on the character of a single person to shape how it is used. That is what should concern everyone.
Interesting how it's perfectly alright to hate on Bezos, while it's not done to question Gates, who is responsible for some seriously malicious shit that everybody seems to have forgotten
It's so ridiculous how Amazon really did turn the online market upside down. Everyone cringes when they see shipping charges for online orders now. And anything beyond a week freaks people out.
I recently ordered a TV from Best Buy and had the worst experience possible. Their subcontractor delivery truck broke down and best buy's site was down so I had to call to reschedule. Had to wait 4 hours before being told next possible delivery time was 2 weeks from that time, as it was the only time the subcontractor truck would come back. I bitched saying how unacceptable that was in 2020, and they said ok you can pick it up in store today. So I did and had to wait in a line for 3 hours, for 2 employees while it would've made more sense for all 100 of us to pickup our shit ourselves. AND THEY DIDNT EVEN HAVE THE TV READY WHEN LADY ON THE PHONE SAID IT WOULD BE. They then said I could get it from the warehouse after another hour but had the audacity to charge my card AGAIN for another tv while I wait 10 days for a refund on my original order. Fucking ridiculous.
Never seen a legacy big chain business fuck up this badly. Makes me really take Amazon for granted. No bullshit, they'd have it delivered next day and immediately correct their mistake. I hope Amazon runs more stores like this into the ground as much as I hate Amazon, but they do it right.
JK Simmons will play him
What a success story
the shining jewel in the shit is The Expanse
Don’t worry bro the free market will regulate it self. Rs/
The problem is capitalism. If we eliminated Jeff Bezos, the flaws would continue to exist. Money would continue to be accumulated and power compounded. Not that I'm against eliminating Bezos. Just that you also need to do more.
