Why is NOBODY Buying this Mic??

[Music] over the past 6 years I've been upgrading my setup piece by piece so it's perfectly built for gaming and editing creating what it has become today by putting hours of research in and well a little bit of money how much does my new PC cost the mro 2 keyboard and the mod d mouse both around £40 each this is how I got an OD G6 gaming monitor for absolutely free 99% of my setup has changed in the last 6 years at least once apart from this one part it has done me so well over the years helping me make dozens of videos and allowing me to make great memories with my friends on video games the piece of Hardware I'm referring to is my microphone I have a Blue Snowball a cheap mic that isn't as bad as it looks it's hard to let go of this device because it been with me for so long and what it has done for me but the technology is getting a bit too old and there are much better Alternatives now I am finally ready to move on I've been watching many videos and reading lots of websites Gathering loads of inspiration to find the perfect mic for me where did this lead me this is the sh sm7b when you buy the sh sm7b I'm thinking about buying the sh sm7b microphone this is one of the only microphones you'll need this is the sure sm7b the sure sm7b every big streamer has it and songs are even produced in it however it comes with a huge price tag of £379 but it gets even worse it is also an XLR only mic which requires an audio interface to link to the PC so that puts another 00 to the cost and it is very well known for being too quiet the downside of the sh 7B is that it's extremely quiet meaning that a preamp is sort of required in order to use the microphone at its limit that adds another £150 to the cost Al together costing £629 which is very expensive and as a student we're going to scrap the idea I had to look [Music] elsewhere I couldn't decide which one was the best option for me there were so many do I go cheap but will I regret it I wanted a luxury type microphone but none caught my eye until I saw this one the sister of the Sha sm7b a smaller cheaper version but still one of the best mics out there the shaw mv7 it was better than all of its competition at a similar price point this was the one after 6 years I'd finally upgraded my [Music] mic [Music] [Music] the mic had finally arrived and it was gorgeous but does it work as well as it looks there's only one way to find out I'm going to test both the sh mv7 and the Blue Snowball to compare and to see if this purchase was really worth it first I tested both the base products I used Adobe Audition to record each mic and played them back afterwards to compare this is my old mic this is my new mic already the sh V7 was Miles better and this was without installing the software I then downloaded the software and changed some settings inside to optimize the mic's quality there it is I finally had a professional mic it sounded great I'm very satisfied with this new mic and I can't wait to stream and make videos with it the only problem is that when you pronounce your plosives it can't handle it very well but there are ways to prevent this this includes buying a new pop filter for the mic but that's for a later video in conclusion I feel like it was so much more worth me buying this microphone than the shes m7b cuz that was just way too expensive however maybe in the future let me know in the comments if you have any hardware or software related ways I can improve the quality of this mic but apart from that thanks for watching the video like And subscribe
