Why I got Fired

fun fact when i was 15 i actually got fired from this job i kind of just screwed things up a lot i wasn't a quick learner and i was always so nervous i was gonna screw things up and so that made me screw things up on my first day i was so nervous that i asked questions about absolutely everything like to the point where they're common sense questions that i shouldn't need to ask they were having me wash dishes which is like the easiest thing you could do at a job and as i'm washing the dishes they told me i need to change out the water and so i asked how to do that and they said will you drain the sink i was like well how do you drain the sink you pull the plug out and i was like well where is the plug they're like at the bottom of the sink like every other sink but yeah so i was just really nervous and so i asked the dumbest question and so the manager at the time was actually my friend and he's the one that hired me and he looked me in the face and said dylan don't make me regret hiring you but i did mess up a lot more stuff i would build cakes wrong and do all kinds of other things that actually led to me getting fired but i enjoyed my job so much that i just went to the town over for me and i got a job at a different one because i liked my job so much and then now i've almost worked here for 10 years which is absolutely insane but i learned so much from my own experiences that now i have so much more patience with people as they're new and as they're learning and they'll give a lot more grace because i know what it's like to be nervous and be new and screw a lot of things up i wish i could go back and show 15 year old little dylan who i am today and just let him know that it's gonna be okay because there were some rough days one morning when i was about to get ready for work i got a call from my manager and he's informed me that i had built a cake wrong and because of that my co-worker said that if he's going to hire his friends that he might need to make sure they know how to read before they get a job there and then i had to go into work with that girl all day good times i pretty much cried in the shower that morning then i had to work with her all day and it was a terrible time but as hard as that first year was it really taught me a lot of the person that i want to be and the person that i don't want to be if i ever become a manager just remember that every time you go through something that's tough it's just an opportunity for you to learn and grow and become a better person if you made it to the end just drop a smiley face or something i'm just very happy today and i'm very thankful for you guys

Loved working at cold stone during high school. It’s all so pleasing, pulling a scoop with the spades from the geaha(I don’t know the actual spelling), scraping the stone, mixing everything in from the cambros, then plopping it in the cup. Their hands must be burning though with the waffle cone fold, we always double gloved during that.
