you just passed your real estate exam now what well today i'm going to share with you why i chose keller williams as my brokerage to hang my license [Music] hey y'all and welcome back to my channel my name is myra with our nashville realtor and today i'm going to share with you why i chose keller williams to be my real estate brokerage is that even a word real estate brokerage so i was thinking earlier today why i chose keller williams so i wrote down all the different bullet points that i could think of off the top of my head the first one that i'm going to start off with is brand recognition that is something that was very important to me as a new agent i really wanted a brand that everyone recognized and respected to stand with my name i felt that it was really important for them to take me seriously and to want to work with me because of that name recognition so i think that even though keller is a very big company overall they are in multiple continents and they're just huge everyone pretty much knows of them but it was also important to me that it was someone who was really um they really had a presence where i lived so in illinois and here in middle tennessee keller was a place that had a lot of presence meaning when you would drive down the street and you would see homes for sale you would see a lot of keller williams signs you knew that they had a lot of listings they were working with a lot of people and they were one of the big guys in the area so that is another reason why i felt like i really wanted to work with keller williams i felt like everyone knew about them and people were using them but i just feel like it gives credibility to me as a new agent versus going with um a brokerage that maybe is really small and no one's ever heard of um not that there's anything wrong with that but i feel like as a new agent if they see my name tied to keller williams they go oh well we know of keller and they're a very respectful company so since i know them i trust them i respect them i'm going to trust you too the second reason that i chose keller is because of the training keller williams has the best in class training and honestly even though i haven't been with other brokerages i just know what i've seen and the reviews that i've read and just all the research i've done i feel like nobody else tops keller williams training programs so a little bit more in depth on that keller williams offers multiple training programs they offer one that is geared towards new agents but anyone can take it it's called ignite it's a 30-day course that goes on for the whole month and it pretty much teaches you everything that you need to know to be a successful realtor so it's going to start off by teaching you how do you build your network how do you gain your clients um how do you write up a contract how do you get a listing how do you um get a buyer how do you show the houses how do you do open houses how do you do closings everything is covered it's pretty much a here hold my hand let's go step by step and i'm going to tell you everything you need to know i think that was amazing as a new realtor i didn't know any of that when you take your um courses to become a licensed realtor they don't cover that they don't cover the day-to-day on everything that you need to know as a real estate agent they just cover what not to do all the legal aspects of it how to not get in trouble everything you need to know in that sense so when you go with someone like keller they will teach you everything you need to know um actually let me where did they go here we go they um give you a lot of material during your so they give you a lot of material during your ignite session and i will say this is not all of it but that is about 70 maybe 65 of all the information that is covered in learning the job which i love that i have this i think this is a very valuable resource to a new agent and not all brokerages do this so that was something that was really important to me when i found out how much they help you i mean that was a it was a no-brainer for me because i want that support behind me i want to learn as much as i can and i really want to be successful after ignite they also offer um other courses i think one is called bold and that one is not just for new agents you can do it after you did ignite or you can just be someone who came from another brokerage and you've been doing real estate for like 15 years but you want to take both so you can take it anyways um and that one is more of a deep dive into um everything that you need to know and how to like just make a lot of money a lot of transactions and how to be really successful um i have not taken that one yet like i said you have to complete the ignite first and then you can go into bold so um that one's only offered multiple times a year that's another thing i did not say um these courses are only offered specific times throughout the year when they're being offered so i was fortunate enough to start my first day ever as a realtor on the first day that um ignite started so the timing really worked out on that um so yeah there's bold they also offer during the week um just random um zoom classes that you can attend like one is how to work command which is the database that they use um to manage your clients another one is like learning how to use docusign um trying to figure out how to do um the documents and the contracts for sellers for buyers um all that good stuff so that is something that's really important to me i was really fortunate enough to be able to attend all of those as well i feel like i've learned a lot it can feel really overwhelming because of the amount of information but i've learned that i can't absorb it all at once it's nearly impossible so that's why i'm really fortunate that i do have all of these um these um books to reference whenever i need them again um they also video some of the classes and you can reference those back again too so i'm trying to just learn what i need at the moment but knowing that i still have all this at my fingertips whereas i feel like if you go to another brokerage and they either don't offer training at all or they have someone who like mentors you you have that person to mentor you and they give you everything that they know but you're not going to walk away with a book this thick of information or pre-recorded videos and just all that good stuff so i feel like taking these classes is the best route for me at least another reason why i chose keller is because they help you get started 100 so i interviewed with keller williams about a month maybe a month and a half before i actually went in to take my real estate exam so they knew that i was going to be taking the exam they offered me a spot with them before i even took my exam and they said as soon as i get my date set let them know i told them that i did and they pretty much sent out you know a nice positive message on the day of my exam i came back and i told them that i passed after that they immediately started getting things rolling so they got me set up with an um onboarding call and what they did during that was went through everything i need to know in order to get set up and get everything active they helped me apply for my license they helped me get my eno insurance and everything that i was going to need which was really awesome so it was nice to know i'm not missing anything you have somebody else who's like asking you everything that they need to know they're filling out the forms for you so you can't you can't go wrong you can't get in trouble because somebody else is totally taking all that on for you which i think is really awesome because you can feel very overwhelmed in the beginning there's just so much there's all these different systems there's you have to sign up for this you gotta sign up for that because that's linked to that there's so much so it's really nice to have someone going okay i'm just i'm gonna do all this for you you give me the information i need to know and i will get it set up so that was another reason why i'm really happy that i went with color because they made that transition very seamless another really cool thing about keller williams is that they offer a branding and marketing suite so in this thing what they do is they send you an email you click into it through the link and it sends you to this page and you fill out all the information it's like a 10 minute maybe 15 minute questionnaire you fill out all the information that they ask you for after you click submit within 24 to 48 hours they send you back a um list with a bunch of passwords these passwords are to everything that they have set up for you just based off of that form that you filled out so now within that amount of time you now have your own real estate website you have your own real estate email address you have your own um real estate like with them it's called command your own profile within their system it's called a it's like a client management system um you also are connected to the kw connect everything for your marketing material gets pre-populated so they have a website that you can go to and now that is linked to everything else which means whenever you decide oh i want new business cards or i want flyers or i need door knocker or like door hangers or whatever it may be magnets your whole thing is now pre-populated with all of your information it has um the branding on it so you are compliant i just love how all that is done for you automatically and all you do is spend 10 15 minutes filling up this form all of your kw proprietary systems are all set up this way too um there's an app where it gets up in and then i think there's there's three i want to say proprietary systems as well and and also it gets you um your information to get signed into docusign which is what you use whenever you are sending contracts back and forth with a client of yours so on that note they have amazing technology their technology is the best in class and what i mean by that is they have all their different systems like i said earlier command it is a client management system there is also the connect system they have the white pages just so many different systems ways to connect there is the um there's another one too i can't even think of it off the top of my head it's a marketing system these systems all connect to each other and they work together those are included in what would be your monthly fee with your agency so with keller that's all included you don't have to pay for anything separate for other agencies for instance that could be a separate cost so if you are interviewing with brokerages make sure to ask about that so there's also something called kw connect and what that means is you're also able to connect with agents from all over the world so if you are in um let's say tennessee like me and you need to find somebody for your client who you're working to sell their house with them but they're moving off to florida well you can't sell them a house in florida but what you can do is you can connect them with another kw agent in florida and you can get a referral commission so that is another really cool aspect of keller williams another reason why i chose keller williams is the commission splits keller williams offers a very advantageous commission split these splits could be different wherever you're located each brokerage is individually owned and operated but mine offered very advantageous um and competitive commission splits which was something that was really important to me it was more than 50 which i thought for sure going into this that i was preparing myself mentally for a 50 50 split and that wasn't the case which was surprisingly nice they also offer a marketing cap so a marketing cap when you are sharing your commission splits the money that is staying with them is being it's like going towards your cap so once you've contributed enough money from your sales to reach that cap you now get a hundred percent of your commission so based off of my market and the average price of um the homes that sell here it's about six houses that i would need to sell in order to reach my cap and once i reach my cap then i get 100 for the whole rest of the year once the year's over it restarts and you do the same thing all over again this is another thing that was important to me may not be important to you but convenience i um did not want to be driving for a really long time in order to be getting to my um my office i didn't want to be driving a really long time to get to my office i wanted something that was going to be pretty local to me something that if i needed to run home or if i even needed to run there at a time that wasn't really convenient for me it wouldn't be that big of an issue so my market center is actually just five minutes down the road from me and i thought that was really cool um there seems to be a keller williams in almost every single um like major city around me so i think that is um saying something so i think that that would make it really convenient for a lot of people but i like that mine is super close so i think that about wraps up pretty much the main bullet points of why i chose keller williams i know that as a new agent it can be really overwhelming and really stressful on trying to find the right fit for you um i will say just do your research and really really um learn as much as you can about each brokerage and if you feel like you need to interview at multiple ones interview at multiple ones ask as many questions as possible because i honestly think the brokerage that you first start off at especially as new agent really sets you up for how your real estate career is going to be there are so many options out there there's so many
