ladies and gentlemen the time has come where i am ready to sell my tiffin faten today i wanted to make a video letting you know why i bought my tiffin payton why i chose a tiff and payton when i bought it why i'm ready to sell it and what i'm thinking about getting to replace it a huge thanks to dean laux fine art for sponsoring today's video i'm in turtle mode i really want to focus on the turtles for a year they are endangered it's interesting to see how many eggs are laid how many turtles go in the sea and how many actually survive later i'm going to have many of my pieces down in florida that's where i'll be doing my work over the winter time and i'd love to set up an appointment and meet you if you would like to have a painting you can visit the shop in elkhart indiana you can always call the shop at and there's all 574-522-8838 these different scenarios and so many different variables so i'm going to try to explain to everybody which rv will work best for your situation if you look over here you guys may think that i already made another play well even though this rv does have my name across the top of it it isn't mine it's actually my parents and i actually bombed it so if you see them say hello to them they're going to be cruising around in this little 2011 uh winnebago via that's a whole nother story today i want to talk about my tiffin fate and it's getting hot out here let's go look at some rvs and i'll tell you about why i bought my tiff and fatin while we're driving over to the rv live do you like this new uh paint scheme on this forest river here really nice looking rig i always love the look of air streams couple good-looking airstreams there my very first rv was an airstream travel trailer so that was how i got my start so i always have a love for airstream but i need something a little bit different though when buying an rv a few of the things to take into consideration are how often are you gonna drive the rv how many miles a year you're going to put on it and how often are you going to use the rv how many nights a year are you going to sleep in the rv when i bought my tiff and phaeton i could have bought a prevost for the same amount of money a lot of people ask why didn't you buy a prevost well at the time i was only traveling about maybe 5 000 miles a year when i bought my rv i was planning on just being a snowbird i didn't realize i was gonna make so many lifestyle changes i'd go back and forth between arizona and south dakota once a year and then in the winter time i'd use the coach for short trips uh you know to barrett jackson locally or to california uh country thunder events around here i wasn't gonna be driving that many miles where i needed a prevost and i would have made some sacrifices the prevos that would have been in my price range would have been non-slide units and being that i was only driving four or five thousand miles a year and probably sleeping in the coach for maybe four or five months out of the year it just didn't make sense for me to have a non-slide coach prevos are set up a little bit more to be putting a lot of miles on them now here's the thing about it and this is the reason i want to sell my coach i i used my coach i've you know went up to oregon i was popping around all over oregon i went out to south dakota drove back to oregon i've probably put about 5 000 miles on my coach this summer and the production coaches are not set up to be going down the road as much every time you drive one of these coaches down the road it's gonna rattle all of those rv components so the prevost chassis they're like 700 grand alone is what i've been told for just the chassis before they do the rv conversion so a prevost shell is going to have like a total stainless steel frame stainless steel cage where a production coach or most production coaches are just a rail basically a raised rail chassis where you've got chassis with two big rails and then they build the motorhome on top of that chassis okay guys i just talked to one of my buddies at camping world in houston their inventory is so low right now they usually have about 600 units they've only got about 100 in stock right now the only thing really a camping world for me would be that class b like something on the mercedes sprinter chassis because i want to be able to go a lot of miles but i need something a little bit bigger and better let's go see what's going on over here at uh lazydays there's a new lazy days here in arizona they just bought out another dealer i wasn't super happy with the service i received from uh the dealer that they bought it from so hopefully lazydays stepped it up i am impressed with those new mars i did get a chance big thanks to theodore that let me drive that newmar s6 that was an awesome experience so i definitely am i like the new bars but guys i think i want to put 20 30 000 miles a year and i don't know you guys this is this is unbelievable how empty this is this is like nothing i've ever seen there's maybe a dozen coaches over there not much going on over here seriously like look at this big empty lot guys like i mean i could probably found count there's maybe 20 coaches totaling this whole entire lazy days that's that's unbelievable i've never seen this lot this empty and that's another big reason why i want to sell my coach because there's just no inventory there's not a lot of stuff for people to buy it's all about supply and demand so i think it's a good time to sell it it's going to be a good coach for someone i just had the guys at premiere literally tighten up like every little thing and i've been making youtube videos documenting the whole deal here's where it's a double-edged sword and another main reason why i bought my tiff and phaeton is the tiff and fayton is going to have a lot less equipment that can break some of those higher end prevos the older prebos they're going to have air doors they're going to have a lot more complex electronic systems all of those nice systems and all those nice features where you just press a button and open a door it's great but that's stuff that can all break i have a cheap uh hot water heater in my coach it's not an aqua hot hot water heater so it may break more often but when it does need to be repaired it's just not going to be as expensive you know those prevos do definitely have some some major benefits where they're more serviceable like the windshields alone you shout out to army glass guru as well that's why you need them usually your insurance will cover it but the bus windshields are about 800 aside you can pay cash for them from prevost is what i've heard just because it's a it's they just know they're going to go through and when you put a million miles on them they're going to have to replace them more often so it's going to be less expensive to fix those same thing about getting to the belts and stuff and my tiff and fainton i've got to you know go through my rear engine hatch to get to all of the belts and switch out all the belts where the um a couple of the belts i have to go through the engine hatch to get actually one or two of the belts uh where all the belts are going to be in the back on the prevost now you know my my advice for someone the more miles you need to go and the nicer more plush tough living conditions are going to be your two major trade-offs the other reason why i bought a tiffin fate and out of all the production motorhomes well first of all if you go in the forums the tiffin owners group people are just so happy to share information and there's a lot of resources if you go to red bay alabama you can get anything done and people you can you can hear all about it on the tiffin owner owners groups you know i'm thinking about it andrew have you thought about maybe buying a tiffin i love tiffins red bay alabama these guys know what they're doing i knew tiffin was a higher quality rig of that era it's on the spartan chassis i like that i like the tag axle it's more stable for towing it's pre-def i really like that cummins motor it's got in it uh the cummins 360 just a really strong motor i pulled that sprinter van and didn't even know it was back there i mean really traveling wise it's it really is a great coach and that's why i spent a lot of money remodeling it to make it nicer now here's what's happened that the reason why i want to sell it and i want to get something different i'm doing a lot more traveling now i was just in indiana i had to fly back there and and one of the reasons i didn't drive my motor home from indiana or from uh uh oregon to indiana is because just every time you dump 5 000 miles on one of these coaches it's just all kinds of little stuff that can go wrong with it and that's kind of you know i hate to say it but you really have to baby these these coaches and be delicate with them and i need something that i can kind of hammer down a little bit more like drive 20 30 000 miles a year now i might start using my my parents class a a little bit that little sprinter chassis winnebago via something like that i can drive more miles a day different fan is great but it's a large machine and driving it it wears me out i can only do about four or five hundred miles where driving the previous i could tell how it's a lot more stable and you could put a lot more miles down people will message me and they'll say they're thinking about getting a non-slide prevost an older prevalent my first thing that i ask them is how many miles a year are you planning on driving because if you're just planning on having it sit and only driving in a couple hours a few times a year it may not be the best coach for you a production coach may be a better bet so i'm over here at premium coach group that liberty coach is a little bit out of my league i'm going to show you guys a couple other coaches but i see this windshield right here has a big crack they need to give rv glass guru a call i'll make sure to leave a link in the description below whoever the owner of this coach is stop by here at air um coach so guys i stopped by here at premium coach group and you guys remember james az expert hey guys how's it going i'll make sure to leave a link to james channel in the description below he's the guy helping keep all these coaches going now dude i'm thinking about selling my tiff and fating and buying something new what do you think i should get well have you looked around over here yet i have what do you see anything in here that you think i'd like well i'm a big fan of marathon and liberty coaches put it that way if you're gonna looking at a frevo that's what i'd be looking at there's a 2011 liberty coach right there i think at 900 g's it might be a little bit out of my price range but james knows what he's talking about marathon or liberty i i like where your head's at dude that's a good idea but now you're gonna make me look bad like i'm saying everything else is isn't worth looking at you just asked my opinion here's nice hey after seeing that winnebago roof video i'm a little bit worried so and that roof is done yeah nice well make sure to go over to james channel to check that out easy expert and well i'll go check that out have you done a video on it the whole just finished it up this morning uh not the video just the route okay nice that'll take me a little it'll probably be a couple videos i'm spending too much time goofing off on youtube that's why i'm putting out so many videos he's actually doing real work make sure to keep an eye out for that video coming soon thanks again man i'll let you get back to work i know you're busy thank you yeah my pleasure i'm gonna have to keep an eye out for prevos and newell's that are for sale this marathon sold i think the only parabola they have in stock right now is 900 grand i know they've got a bunch coming in but i'm going to keep my ear to the ground keep an eye out for my tiff and fate and getting listed for sale here in the near future drop a comment below what you guys think it's worth book on it is right about 115 000 for retail book and then i just dumped a ton of money in a whole remodel so i'm curious what you guys think the value of my tiff and peyton is please drop a comment below i greatly appreciate all of you liking these videos and
