The temple they're playing in front of always reminds me of the album cover for All 'n All by Earth Wind and Fire.

These guys are absolutely incredible! Does anyone know if they're going to be pressing this live on vinyl? This was such an incredible recording

[Applause] feed the hungry for sure [Music] just calling out just calling out [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] just something i did was right just calling out baby what you do [Music] is um guys thank you so much for for today i'm so happy because we're back for 2021 with you guys we're back soon after like i think four months uh without doing a show because of this pandemic so i'm so so happy it was as i told you a few seconds ago it was out of this world you lost your breath even yeah it was magic your perception you were your life was magic your outfit is magic everything this location is magic um everything is magic here so thank you so much first of all it's a lot coming from you thank you so much so a lot of people asked question um on the online audience i think we we choose only two and i have also a lot of other other questions um and my phone is dying um sorry okay oh there yeah that now that's fine so the first question from ahmed moanese is how did you imagine the place and setting would be before seeing it in in real life and how did you prepare for this show like we just talked about we had a lot of paramedic things going on even though we're from denmark it's a viking thing but we had some artwork and some suits even and even this hat that's pretty old somehow we feel connected to maybe it's to lower the the thing but call it this aesthetic at least i feel very connected to like preparing like seeing their photos it always it already looked amazing from down here but then when you come it's like majestic almost you you feel very small and you go inside and you just like get numb because it's you know all the history and all these years ago people made the artworks and it's pretty amazing to experience that in real real life it had a really strong impact yesterday when we were walking around like it kind of hit us how really hard emotionally that it was such a powerful profound place of history so it's a big honor to be here in egypt the beautiful country beautiful palace yeah we're very honored and and some of the songs got a new meaning playing them here right we're like with each other like hey it all makes sense yeah nice i totally agree with you um i think it's not the first time you came to egypt i think you came one year ago we played one year ago that's the first time we went there one year ago so it's pretty new for us back then we were here like 14 hours oh yeah yeah so i was about to ask what what were the differences between your the first time you came and now but i i imagine there are a lot of differences um you're you this location is really really powerful as you said um what kind of connection did you feel between your music and egypt today did you feel any i felt like this sense of like a common history for all mankind i know it's pretty up there but it's i felt really connected to the whole history and you saw ramsay's standing with his sign and thinking about history i felt that just a deep connection because we're all human beings and we're basically here on earth in the middle of a big pandemic and we all want to celebrate and have fun and and i think back in the days there were also people struggling a lot because they were killed by yeah so yeah but uh you know i felt the struggle from way back from ancient times so that was nice i see you played a lot of unreleased tracks today you started with two of um of two new tracks that we will release uh very soon so not one but two this time first one called abu simbel and the other one nefertari is the other temple here um i have a lot of questions to ask for about this about um these tracks which i found are amazing um if but if you could use only one word to describe both of the of the tracks which word would you choose we have to discuss maybe one word melancholic i would say maybe we stick with that since i also like it no i think uh the the second for td also has this uh feeling of you being captured in the desert so it's got this uh desert vibe yeah that's our word because i thought of saying the same that's it melancholic desert even though the lyrics are about water but um but when you're in the water and you don't uh even in the desert you don't get any water then you get this hallucinating vibe so it was like this feeling of being in the desert having no water so but there is water yeah um there are a lot of also a lot of questions um about pink floyd like you getting inspired about from pink floyd is this true are you inspired by pink floyd or other rock bands i get really happy when people say that because we have we are in this borderline between indie and electronic and club and we always you know we both want to have the club element and and you know we want to see people happy and dance but we also are really inspired by like older music and stuff like pink floyd is it's it's like a big honor that people think we sound a bit a little bit like them especially for a show like this it makes totally sense to have these synthesizer weird guitar plays i had a very strong pink floyd moment with you and you had a very strong pink floyd moment to this monument right i felt that i was like yeah i think that pitflog were one of the first to do this kind of also shows without audience in crazy locations so also the maybe the link between between both or here you know um you're a three people band it's it's not that usual in the electronic music how does balance work work balance work for you how does the group dynamic work we are very like in general humidor has always been very flexible so in the beginning we were like full band with drums and bass and guitar and we started touring a lot and instead of taking a bus we just took the flights and we landed some stuff or rented some stuff and that was a way to get around the world really easily so we've all been like trying to find new easy solutions and also when we are together as a band we sometimes we do two people dj yeah and when we work in the studio we do sometimes we like sit in each our studio in different parts of the world even sometimes and make music and sometimes we sit in a big studio together so whatever works you're very flexible and always up for some new challenges but i guess the dynamics are different like in a normal band you'd have like the lead singer and then the other guys and here we have two leads these singers so we're kind of the producer and the other guys yeah that's nice yeah um do you all have musical backgrounds or did you study another thing if you listen carefully you'll hear that two of us are educated musicians okay and the third one i'm uh i actually have like we just blew our cover um one also one question that i feel is important it's um uh if you had like we're living in a like strange world right now um if you had to change something about the music industry right now would you change anything or what would you change the music industry has to change because the world is changing so i mean everything needs to change somehow i think for us it's a big change to to try to develop a new kind of music that's not necessarily super club oriented but more creative and open so for us it's a big change to develop in a new way instead of being too focusing on the functional part then we can be more open and creative because people they can't necessarily go party hard in the club the next couple of months or when i don't know how long time so uh so it for us it's a big big opening i would like i think in more like in general terms i would right like to have the power back to the artist more there's like so many you know powerful systems like record labels spotify and all this and and i really feel that the artists deserve some more power and i think maybe you know because everything is getting so decentralized now with the with the internet yeah hopefully there is a hope that we and like even uh bitcoins uh stuff like that can maybe help exactly yeah i think it will happen yeah um what is the best advice you've been given in life as people so many getting deep getting deep difficult questions my grandmother said to me remember to always look up and see that the sky is blue yeah i also had another advice that's kind of the same and got inspired by that but that's that's like when you see the the the feed you have of of destruction in the whole world sometimes you have to look out the window and see how is it outside and if you look out the window and you see like a couple going together with hands and the birds are and then it's actually you have to focus on what's in right outside maybe it's not that destructive as the media says i love it and speaking about blue how how about your outfits where did you find them it's uh it's a danish brand and we actually worked with them for many years uh and then but for ten years we didn't have clothes from them and then i saw this and i was like i think we should have this it's amazing and it fits extremely well with the location because of the contrast and in some shots you can see the sky and your outfit and as if the outfits at the same fate yeah perfect yeah the brain is called soul line by the way it's good friends very very nice choice uh last question that i i never asked um do you have a question for me how did you get the idea to start this maybe you got that before but yeah it has been like kind of uh a lot of steps before of course uh arriving here but at the beginning it started in my apartment that is still my apartment and uh we at some moment we reached the eiffel tower uh four five years ago almost and just sending an email on a contact form and they answered and they say yeah let's try to do something and we never stopped so that's how it started that's amazing uh guys thank you so much for thank you big honor because it was really a big honor and and and the life was again really magical we have a little gift for you it's the mystery box oh it's beautiful um while you are opening the gift i i also wanted to thank of course uh all our team and the production team that that did a really really really amazing job armor and all the team in in france as well um yeah it's it's really beautiful uh some some little souvenir uh from from this is egypt which is uh this is ancient ancient ancient i think 4 000 years um i also wanted to thank the ministry of antiquities and tourism uh and uh the minister himself dr anani thank you so much for him for for him yeah and he's not here uh uh unfortunately he was supposed to come but unfortunately he's not here and i also wanted to thank you all of you for watching we're really happy to be back on track and see you very soon bye bye guys bye-bye oh and i forgot thank you playground as well our local promoter that did a crazy job thank you very much to to them thank you everybody bye guys you
