Whitebeard vs Roger - Who Is Actually The Strongest Pirate?

what's up everyone I'm the one I know this age and we'll be ending the long age pirate debate that's been in the community for years upon years that being Roger verse Whitebeard and who truly was the strongest pirate in their era both these great Pirates were Kings of their own eras Roger was the pirate king who started the great age of piracy upon his death which White Bear dominated until his death which started the new age they had a long and strong rivalry for many years and despite one not prevailing over the other in battle as far as we know there is still enough ground to determine simple fact that he is pirate king or under the misconception of how Roger became pirate talking why he was even called the pirate king in the first place and the value of the pirate king title compared to what it will mean for Luffy in the future and the obstacles that he had to go through to attain that title and each one of these would be broken down in a second so firstly let's uncover the truth as to why Roger was called the pirate king this pirate king title actually came from the newspaper and the reason why they called Roger the pirate king is because Roger's crew were the first ever to complete a full circumnavigation of the globe and when the people were reading this newspaper they reacted and said at last someone has conquered the sea that Roger has become the king of the sea due to the fact that he was the first to Circle navigate the globe now some may say well that's just a newspaper trying to miscrunch through the facts and the people don't really know the truth or brother's Journey while that's not true because we actually saw Roger's journey and that's exactly what he didn't beat anyone one or prove his strength Superior to his rivals or anything like that and it's actually reiterated in Roger's own River card right that he got later called the pirate king because he did an unprecedented round of the whole world he did a trip around the whole world he was the first pirate to ever do that so he was called the pirate king because of that that's it not because he was stronger than his Rivals Shiki and white bear at the time none of that it was because he done an unprecedented thing the first pirate to do a trip around the entire world the next thing to uncover is how exactly did Roger become pirate king so we know that he had to get to laughter and do a full trip around the whole world but how exactly did he do it so we know that to get to laughter you need to find the four red pony glyphs as the four red pony glyphs have the coordinates that converge at laughter Roger needed the assistance of Odin who could decipher the opponing lips to even get to left out in the first place however Odin at the time was was a white bird pirate so to get portrayal of Roger being strong in the white bid or that the pirate king meaning that Roger is the strongest part of all time definitely not we also know of a major battle during Rogers era between one of his major Rivals that being the Golden Lion cheeky who was stated to be equal to Roger himself that battle being the Ed war in this battle Shiki wanted to make Roger his subordinate Roger naturally declined so they went into battle Shiki outnumbered Roger a lot data with a large Armada and buggy was trying to convince Roger listen you know it's not really looking good for us just listen to what Shiki has to say and he even tried to convince crocus look Roger the guy is sick right I mean he shouldn't be fighting which crocus actually says no Roger's in Peak Condition Nothing bothering him he can fight and due to the way Roger is he does not care about the odds he will fight who he needs to fight so the battle commences and due to cheeky outnumbering Roger by a lot it is stated by the narrator that a die situation happened to Roger's ship however he was saved due to bad weather and the result of this battle Ended as a draw half of shiki's Fleet got sunk and essentially Roger lived to become pirate king now the way the narrator portrays it is as though if the bad weather never hit that battle Roger would have lost and we probably wouldn't be talking about Roger being pirate king anymore so it's important that we put things into his proper context before we just make claims that because Roger is pirate king he has to be the strongest pirate because looking back at Roger's Journey that is clearly not supported lastly and most importantly what the pirate king title meant for Roger in terms of his strength is not the same as what Luffy's title of pirate king will mean for him and his strength and this is what I mean by that Don chincha explains that the pirate king is the Supreme King that stands on top of all Supreme Kings he further explains that to become pirate king one Mr Trump's the yonkos and the Admirals to achieve that title Luffy even says this to fujitora that if he can't defeat the yonko and the Admirals he can't become pirate king so here's a clear difference on the different obstacles that Roger and Luffy had to go past to become pirate king in Luffy's era you need to challenge the Emperors to become pirate king because they are in possession of the road pornography and if you don't have the road Pony glyphs you can't get to laughter it's just that simple in Rogers era there was no target for all Pirates to go for Shiki was not going for the one piece as we know it white bear doesn't even go for other people's Treasures to begin with and Roger we literally saw in his journey aside from sneaking into big mom at the time who was a lot younger and wasn't as powerful as Roger couldn't really contest him at all right he just waltzed into areas and grabbed the road political so there's no real contest for them whereas as we saw in wano Luffy had to defeat kairo in order to get his Pony glyph Roger never had a situation like that so already the obstacles and the value of what pirate king means in terms of a strength title isn't even the same to begin with and you can't compare statements made in this current ERA and what it means to be pirate king in Luffy's era and compare it to Roger's era it is not the same now as for Whitebeard it was stated in the River card that Whitebeard attained the title of the World's Strongest Man even in Rogers era some people like to deflect by saying that why light bill is only strong goal equal to a sick Roger because when they fought in Odin's flashback Roger was sick he's not as strong or stronger than a prime healthy Roger this argument is unfortunately easily debunked by the second rendition of white bits vivocard that was released alongside the owner flashback that states and suggests that Whitebeard was the strongest pirate even when he met Kazuki Odin and that was before Roger became sick not only that but this argument is almost framed in a way to make it out like Whitebeard only ever for Roger when Roger was sick and that he never actually fought a healthy Roger but we know for a fact that isn't true and in fact the only time he fought sick Roger was the one time that we saw in the Odin flashback as we know that Roger got his illness in the last four years of his life and before the fight that we saw in the Odin flashback all those other years prior right Odin was on the white bed crew and Odin hadn't met Roger until till that fight so we know that isn't true and actually white bid told Shanks right when they met each other that the white mid Pirates used to fight Roger ship all the time so we know that white bin was fighting a healthy Prime Roger as some people tried to make this a new meta right as though a healthy Roger is particularly different to a sick Roger when that actually hasn't been portrayed and that leads me to my next point the sickness argument is always a weak one anyway because in the Battle of Edward War when buggy makes the same argument that some people make with this sick argument that you know Roger is not at his best when sick crocus actually says that Rogers in Peak condition and that he's capable of fighting I mean the whole point of recruiting crocus was to stabilize that condition and the thing is is that people try to essentially conflate what the effects of white bed sickness are in Marine Ford to Rogers just because white bits power and combat power declined due to his sickness and old age does not mean affected Roger the same way I mean white bed got so sick kind of was old to the point in which squado can catch him off guard I mean this observation haki was severely cut you know in terms of its quality so it's really not the same thing it's never suggested to be the same thing and if anything it is suggested that due to crocus stabilizing Roger's condition he was able to maintain his prime strength in the last years of his life so that sickness argument is already just a terrible one and it's already suggested that white bed was the strongest man even before Roger was sick anyway some people also claim that kaido said that Roger has the greatest haki because he said that haki transcends all and he's talking about Roger conqueror in the Seas well you know if we put this whole thing into context we already know how Roger conquered the sea and was not due to a strength for hockey it was due to the fact that he was the first to Circle navigate the entire world so that's already out the window but that's not what kind always say all he is saying is that haki or the strongest level of haki in this specific context is what's required to reach Roger's level of strength not a strong dolphin that's all he's saying because you know Luffy has gear 5 and the method called Nika is a strong devil fruit but kaido's trying to make the point that it's not your dough fruit that will allow you to accomplish what Roger accomplished it is your haki and that is definitely true and like I said we already know that Roger didn't conquer the world primarily due to a strength and haki like some people say kaido is saying so I mean that's already been debugged it also doesn't help with that flimsy argument that you know Odo would actually have Roger and white bed have an equal Clash of their conquerors haki which only reinforces the point that Rogers haki was never portrayed as the strongest as some people may want to lead you to believe so I mean if Odell really wanted to make Rogers haki be portrayed as the strongest you would at least have white but this is soul food as well as uses conquerosaki and Roger matched up with only his Congress hiking but that's not what he did here so I mean yeah there's no real argument at all that Roger is the strongest haki so he is the strongest and strong in the white bid no order never portrays that never makes that point so yeah like I said that's a flimsy argument to begin with anyways the main point is is that for Roger the pirate king title does not mean that Roger is the strongest pirate or strongest man what pirate king will mean for Luffy's strength is completely different than what that same title meant for Roger Roger was never considered the strongest that was Whitebeard but obviously he is as strong as white bear as they've already been stated to be on par with each other the difference in their strengths are very very very very very very very very small however with the portrayal The Edge definitely goes to White bit as he is the one that has been flat out called the strongest man even in Rogers era so that should end the debate between white bit on Roger that really is no real argument for Roger at all and you know like I said in the video he was also stated to be an equal to Shiki as well but everyone gives Roger that edge you know what I'm saying like I'm kind of being Devil's Advocate I do think that Roger's strong and cheeky but just to use these equal statements for what they are Roger was stated to be equal to Shiki GARP and Roger had fighter which they nearly killed each other so Roger's never actually been you know flat out said to be stronger than any of his real Rivals at the time but some people love to say he's the strongest for no apparent reason
