Whats up with Zurreal? | Extreme Mustang Makeover

hey guys welcome back you probably saw my video surreal is gone that went up last friday well that went up a week late as most of my videos do so zuriel has officially been with camille for two weeks now this video is packed full of two weeks worth of surreal footage and updates let's dive in i'm so excited i get to see zariel for the very first time since she got picked up so she got picked up on uh thursday and it is now sunday so i'm going to go drop off this mere magic and get to see her and see how she's doing and yeah just gonna go visit her quickly i'm not gonna work with her do anything but i'm excited to see her because i've seen her every single day for the last i think two and a half months and then i haven't seen her now for four days or three days and it feels like forever so i really missed her okay this is the real in her new stall at camille's taxis she has two stallmates that are also new horses in training she gets along with one of them and not so much the other we have been working a lot on tying which she is slightly getting used to she soft ties great but hard time is still a work in progress besides camille's property surreal had never been off-site until today we took her to watch other horses get their feet trimmed and to be around some commotion she did pretty good with everything except the farrier not even getting her feet done it was just him being around her it made her mare stare come out full throttle it got us thinking that she has a thing against men the only two people that she has charged extremely aggressively are zack and that farrier we'll come back to that later a few days later we took her to a liberty clinic mainly to observe but one of the girls did teach her some liberty in the round pen and she did great it was really good for zareel to be around loud noises hear music out of the loudspeakers and to see big flags waving in the wind at one point a few girls including camille rode in the arena and she did not like seeing humans up so high it was her first time seeing a horse being ridden and she was very scared of it i do not have footage of this because i was holding on to surreal after a bit she got to pony for the first time ever she took a while to understand the concept but she got it eventually it was a big day for this little girl [Music] [Music] but that's not me [Music] but you'll have to take my word that i will love you love you right back love you right back [Music] then camille worked with her on getting used to being touched from horseback she didn't like that at all but by the end she warmed up to it [Music] love you right [Music] i will love [Music] right [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] here she is being trimmed she didn't like standing under the cover of this new barn so we moved her to the round pen where she would be more comfortable and poor camille baked in the sun while she gave the reel her very first trim [Music] so back to the male problem surreal has mostly been handled by women and doesn't mind it but she didn't like zack and she absolutely hated the fair ear so we thought we need to work through this with some willing participants at first she was unsure but they kept being slow and gentle and now she has two males she can call friend alright are you guys ready for another field trip camille wanted to practice some jumps with yoshi so we tagged along and surreal took part as well [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] we broke it oh my goodness [Music] wait ready for some bloopers i'm so focusing on her going over that i hold on too tightly to the rope and almost follow the jump then zaril half-heartedly jumps it and barely makes it that's for the bloopers one of the tasks surreal needs to be able to do in the makeover is pick up all four feet in the big arena regardless of distractions and she can't walk off so we practiced this here for a new place new barn with new obstacles i'd say she did pretty good then it was time to leave and this was her very first time loading into the trailer in the dark i thought she would spook at the light or just not like loading in the dark but she walked in like a champ what a good girl yeah that's great one of the things camille said we should work on was her being groomed and touched by two people at the same time so here we are practicing okay are you guys ready for some action i'm not going to narrate this but i wanted to include it in the video so you can see some of the reaction that i felt were beyond my level to work with camille has more experience and tools working through these issues [Music] overall during these last two weeks we have seen huge progress surreal has had five off-property field trips which have helped her to experience a lot of new things that she will be encountering in the domestic world i'm really enjoying this process again zuriel and i will be doing our first in-hand show this weekend to practice for oklahoma should we film it thanks for watching
