[Music] hi everyone we're back with another garden tour now we're in the middle of april i was not expecting to update you so soon again after the march episode but there's so much more that came into bloom so let's have a look [Music] okay so again we start the tour right here we reshuffled some of the pots over here my little pine tree that was on the decking came here we also have the lilac that i repotted in the spring plan care video and the tulips have arrived so right here we had a gorgeous daffodil called martinet and i planted a mix so now that martinet is fading we have this gorgeous yellow purissima tulip i love the yellow and yellow it's so beautiful they have a gorgeous shape they're a little bit wind battered we've had a lot of wind but i think they still look really pretty also a little bit lost in all this gorgeous foliage we have a little bit more of the amino daffodil which i think was really sweet under planting there so really good bulb lasagna on those containers about 30 by 30 i had three bulbs martinet the parisima and mino i feel very precariously installed here so i'll try not to fall on the tulips underneath me we have here a little cluster of elegance they're so beautiful i love the pink and the more pointy shaped of the tulips really really sweet they got eaten by slugs really bad from before i applied the nematode control but we still have some some lovely blooms over here we had the gorgeous drift of raplet but it's dead edited and finished now it was one of our early bloomers in the garden but we should probably talk about this they started with the most wonderful green you in their petals and the young beds and then darkened and deepened in color to have this beautiful orange and apricots blending into one we can't tell but it's two types of tulips i think this is my favorite tulip of the season they're really tall the stems are really strong perfection what can i say i can't say more perfection on the front here we have a couple of returns clear water from last year i was not expecting it we have a little trio here and another two at the back great over here we have a little drift of cenada amore that slightly paler pink bloom and over there parrot prince we have a couple of examples that are doing beautifully and purple prints are doing really nicely as well they're enjoying the sun and because they were shorter of course i put them towards the front of the border i really like that little clustered effect where we have a couple of tulips of the same type together i think it helps bring a little bit more depth in the narrow border look at that dress upset i'm obsessed with this drift those are sir winston churchill aren't they so beautiful i really love these daffodils i grew those also last year again they're multi-stems so several bloom spur stems i really love this type of daffodil with smaller blooms they're scented also absolutely gorgeous look at those ruffles let me move to the other side of the bed [Music] the other side of the flower bed is a little bit more shaded that turned out perfectly because i ended up planting fiddle that are typically more tolerant to part shade this is yellow cheerfulness again i feel like i have a theme with these but it's some of my favorite blooms multiple blooms per stems absolutely adore this pale yellow it's the perfect combination i think especially with the purple and the deeper apricots behind absolutely gorgeous and i really love the pairing of those because they have a similar size and height so i think they complement each other really well another tulip a latecomer called claudia look at this pointy tulips [Music] with the white edge and the bulk of the petal deep pink it's sensational i really love it i really love purple and yellow together i think that turned out perfect [Music] this is the new little grouping of plants in the decking to reflect a little bit more this seasons this little area has changed as i mentioned already the evergreens have been dotted around and my huge spruce tree for christmas is at the back of the garden now to leave way for those gorgeous tulips this is a tulip called trisima i think i don't know if this one is my favorite or the drift of orange lion and vanek it's a crazy difference from tulips in the shade and tulip in the sun they're really open to soak up that energy and i really love it because both inside and out we can still see some yellow and when it was younger it also had some green and i just think it was such a fresh beautiful look beautiful and the foliage also is really lush i'm obsessed with this one i think this is one of my favorites this year here we have a rose i put it here because i really love how red the new growth is i think it was a really lovely contrast over here i brought back an evergreen and we have another daffodil called white lion and i think this one pairs really well with parisima because of the cool red that has some yellow and of course it's a double bloom so i love it have this issue this year my daffodils are droopy maybe it's the wind yeah i think this is the perfect pairing look at that we have an autumn joy sedum that's not going to bloom until the fall but i really love the texture of the plant i think it complements really well this grouping very little scenario a bit more foliage to fill in the gaps and this the second tulip accent white prints i really love this one as well interestingly it has a little bit of purple and this one has a stroke of purple that's that's a little bit strange i really love them too you can tell i love white tulips in metal containers that's my go-to combo this year [Music] i don't know if you can believe it but we still have more buds more tulipin buds in the garden i think this is happy generation absolutely love them at bad stage with the green and white again the leaves of the tulips are really interesting they have a variegated edge [Music] look at my little apple tree i was a little bit worried about it because back in december it was flowering and of course the buds died at the first frost and then i pruned it recently and it looks happy we have a lot of new buds forming and i brought it here because we could have a little bit more height into this arrangement and also i think it's going to be happier with a little bit more sun i wrote this but you know those already and then a couple more pots of tulips where i put some mixes with whatever i had left gorgeous blue diamond tulip really love it over here a gorgeous example of flaming prince i guess the flames are the purple stripes it's lovely more beds here i can't quite remember what i planted and i think i lost the label so we'll see orange and purple are gorgeous together [Music] i also wanted to show you the little camellia always blooms in april whatever happens which always makes me really impatient because a lot of camellias bloom a bit earlier in march but i think it was worth the wait oh is this the hair oh i think it was worth the wait can you see this gorgeous blooms we have one over here as well white double bloom i don't have an exact variety name but i'll try to research it absolutely lovely and we have so many more beds and flowers to look forward to [Music] over here we have a repeat again of the planting from the other side of the garden to draw similar interest and similarly we have martinette that's leaving the show to yellow pirissima you can notice the bulbs are a little bit flattened because again we had those terrible winds so i should probably cut these and make flower arrangements with them in the middle pot i have daffodil dick wilden it's a little bit droopy i don't know i don't know why but a lot of the stems are broken or just droopy full double yellow daffodil they're not very scented the little shelf changed a little bit uh i had items and miscarry that are still on the second shelf they're done blooming now so i popped a couple of extra pansies they're going to fill in i have five plants here and they're going to fill in and i repeated that in a couple of other containers over here with some white ones here we don't have blooms yet but they're purple also and on the second shelf more gorgeous purpleness i think that's going to be really nice and you can see we still have a bit of the muscari hanging on the last leg of the delft blue iosense that became much lighter when it aged it's still really beautiful and this arrangement is still doing really well the hookah of course is happy tattat is one of the longest blooming daffodils last year i had it for over four weeks blooming in the garden although a couple of specimens are done and purple sensation is also still sporting a lot of color isn't this a lovely combination i love the blue yellow also mr leaf just after the blooms start to fade there's a little bit of aftercare that you can carry out so that you can reuse your bulbs from year on year i'll publish a dedicated video about that so stay tuned the channel has reached a thousand subscribers thank you so much for watching for subscribing and for all your kind comments and it really means a lot thank you so so much thanks for watching this video i hope you enjoyed it i hope seeing all this beautiful spring color brought you a lot of joy it certainly does for us it's such a pleasure to
