What window coverings do you put in sliding glass doors?!?!?!

hi everyone chris here with blind appeal i hope you're all having a great day so i got a question have you ever gone through your house and you knew exactly what you wanted for your window coverings uh you knew the product color fabric everything but then you came to the infamous sliding glass door [Music] what do you put in there good news is we do have options for this so i'll go into those options here in just a second stay tuned [Applause] [Music] so there are six products we're going to primarily discuss here uh there are uh vertical slats draperies sliding panels honeycomb shades plantation shutters and roller shades four of the six products come with the same operating systems there's the continuous cord loop cordless and motorization first product we're going to talk about are actually the vinyl slats it's a very popular one pretty much everyone knows about these the one thing that people don't realize though is just how many options you've got there's some that have different types of textures in them and these are also vinyl you can get these vertical slats in fabric as well and here are just a few examples of them so these are different fabrics that you can use for vertical slats and the second product that everyone can do for the sliding glass doors are draperies and you can't go wrong with draperies right draperies go way back they are beautiful elegant and produce a very warm homey feel to the house and if you want blackout for theater rooms or bedrooms absolutely nothing beats draperies because you eliminate light gaps that almost all other window coverings have now the next four products although are very very common may not be as popular as the vertical slats or the draperies so we're getting into those products here right now for you the first one we're going to talk about are sliding panels these are some of the most expensive options here but if the budget is right they are one of the most elegant looking options out there sliding panels are made of the same fabric as roller shades but instead of rolling up they are 12 inch panels that slide side to side and stack up on each other you will lose some of the view at the end of the sliding door when they stack up on each other but again if the budget is right these are an incredible looking option for sliders the next option we've got here are honeycomb shades but instead of horizontal they are vertical so they side side to side these options are great especially if you already have honeycomb shades throughout the rest of the home and they are also energy efficient if you have a door that gets blasted by the sun these shades will help keep much of the heat from entering into the home another unique thing about this product is that it stacks very tightly up against the edge when it opens so you don't lose much of the view as well now if you already have plantation shutters throughout your entire house why not continue that into your sliding glass door uh there are two options that we can do actually for sliding glass doors the first option for plantation shutters here is you can order them to roll from side to side this feature allows very easy access in and out of the door the thing about is that you will lose a good size view from the from your window the second option for plantation shutters however is to order them with hinges so they open up like a closet door as you see here in this case you won't lose any of the view as they swing outward from the door and last but not least a very popular product that a lot of people are putting their homes now are roller shades and the reason why is because sliding glass doors are just that they are doors and you don't want anything in the way when you walk in and out of them uh so the great thing about roller shades really it's anything that just rolls up and out of the way and it can set about three to three and a half to four inches at the very top some of these examples of roller shades are banded shades so banded shades transition from full privacy to partial privacy and you can roll them up and out of the way again it's as if they aren't even there solar shades are another great example they shade the home very well but maintain the view so you get your view whether this shade is up or down awesome product for that and also light filtering polyester or wood fabric roller shades those are another great option for these roller shades the only drawback from these shades is that in order to walk in and out of the door you do need to roll them completely out of the way instead of scooching them a little over to the side like you can with the other options to eliminate this drawback you can order multiple shades in one door this gives you the flexibility to leave other shades down while the door that you plan on walking through you leave up just as you see here in this in this image no longer you have to fret when it comes to sliding glass doors i hope this
