What To Wear Denim Styles For Spring 2024 / Denim Jeans, Jackets, Handbags and Shoe Trends

it has been a minute since I have talked about denim so I wanted to do a video on the best denim for 2024 that you are going to see and I'm really excited because denim is one of my favorite materials and I'm not just talking about jeans I'm talking about denim across all categories of fashion and there is going to be a lot to choose from so denim has become one of the biggest materials to use and it's really comfortable uh you can wear it casually or you can dress it up so I think it's a fun subject and I hope you enjoy it if you do love this video please give it a thumbs up also consider subscribing and remember to love your neighbor and be kind the most popular category in denim is of course going to be your jeans so I'm going to talk about a lot of the different styles of jeans first and then I'll get on to the other things and I think the number one style that is going to be very popular in 2024 are wideleg jeans and I know not everybody is going to wear this style but there are going to be a lot of good options out there whether you want something that's full length which I really do like the full length especially if you a little shorter but also the cropped versions are really good for spring and summer because they look really good with your sandals and your spring type shoes but I did already talk about this being a very big Trend in your trouser pants coming in 2024 so wide legs are just flowy loose legs are the thing that they have been on Trend now for several seasons and I think they're probably hitting their Peak where they're more popular they're probably less of a big Trend and more of a people are accepting it now and wanting to wear it and it can sometimes this can create more Staples in our wardrobes which I think the trouser pants have become I'm not sure the WID leg jeans are there just yet and they may never be there but if it's something that you have been interested in there's definitely going to be a lot of styles in 2024 that you could try and if it just doesn't work for you move on because I've got some other good denim Jee choices coming for you one of the better choices I think than the wide leg jeans if you don't like them is going to be a straight leg Jean whether you want one that's a little bit loose like your 90 straight leg or if you want one that's a little bit Slimmer like your regular straight and then I'll talk about a slim straight here in a minute but just for your regular straight leg jeans I do think this is a very good choice and it's universally flattering in my opinion and I think that you can find them in a long length so full length all the way down to the foot angle length and even cropped lengths and it's going to be different for you depending on your height and so I have done a video on styling these with a lot of your ankle boots but I do think that sandals and sneakers and things like that look good with all lengths and you don't have to really worry about it too much like you do with your ankle boots and so my personal favorite is an ankle length and I like mine right at or just a tad bit above my ankle bone I don't like getting any further than that because when I do they seem to look a little bit short on me so you'll just have to look at them on you and see what works but I think you can find them in all different Rises too so you can get lowrise midrise highrise the majority you'll find will be mid and high and I do think that this is a great choice if you've not tried a straight leg they have been around and on trend for a really long time and I think they're becoming more of a staple in our closet as opposed to a trend although they are still trending so now that brings me to the slim straight because the slim straight is a little bit different than your regular straight leg Jean and it is actually a jean that looks more like a skinny jean but is straight and it doesn't usually have a taper at the end like your skinny jeans do when you get to the Hem part of it and I think this is a good option if you love skinny jeans this would be a good Next Step before you get into the looser Styles if you've not gone away from the skinny jeans and I love a slim straight I feel really good in a slim straight because I always felt good in my skinny jeans and so this was a good thing for me to wear and then move into the other straight legs and now I kind of wear all different styles but I really love the slim straight so you can look for those and just look for a Slimmer leg a lot of times you'll be able to tell in the photos what it is and sometimes it'll give you the leg opening so look for something that is really small I do think this is a great option it's super flattering and it's good if you want a Slimmer fit but want to be a little bit more modern and on Trend so not sure that this one is going to be that popular but I think if you try it you would love it and that is a kick flare so I have a a few different styles of kick flares my two favorite mother jeans that I have are a little bit of a kick flare and what makes this a kick flare is one it actually kicks out into a flare at the Hem and it's more of a boot cut cuz it's not super big but they're calling it a kick flare or a lot of times you'll see it as a demi boot um or maybe even a crop boot cut and so you'll see those three names kind of scattered throughout different retailers and manufacturers but this is just a jean that's it's a little bit cropped so minine are ankle length um so I guess really not cropped you can get them cropped but mine are ankle and they just kick out at the ends and mine are frayed at the end but you can find them where they are you know have a full hem but I really love this look I think it's really really flattering especially on someone who is pear-shaped we have put these on my sister-in-law and they look really good and I think they just help create balance if you have something a little bit more oversized on top but w a jean that's a little bit more fitted with it kicking out at the Hem it actually helps balance top and bottom so um I love these because they kind of mix a boot cut with a skinny jean and a slim a slim straight so it's kind of a combination of all of those and it's just comfortable to me so if you like boot cut jeans if you like jeans that are more fitted through the hips and thighs um but you don't want to do straight leg you don't want to do skinny maybe try a kick flare Dem boot or cropped boo cut so the last two jean styles that I want to talk about are your flares or your boot cuts and you can choose whichever one you want and these are going to be your fulllength versions and I have talked about flares for probably a year now because they have started to come back on Trend and I'm starting to see a lot more of them and now the boot cuts are coming back and I think these are great options if you want a good fulllength Jean and you want to create some balance and you don't like skinny straights or wide legs then this is a perfect choice for you and if you don't like the wider flare bottom because the difference between a flare and a boot cut is a flare is a little bit tighter in the thigh and it comes down as a little tight in the calf and then it comes out at the helem a lot more than a boot cut and a boot cut a lot of times is not as skinny in the thigh and the top of the calf because it doesn't have that much exaggeration for the flare so you may prefer one or the other and they both have a really nice look to them and I think you can dress them up or wear them casually and I think they're going to look good with a lot of the shoe trends that are coming for spring and it's just a really good option that I think is very flattering on almost any body shape so denim skirts have become very very popular the past year especially in your midi and Maxi lengths but for spring and summer I think we're going to see some of the mini Styles and also some maybe mid thigh and actually even kneelength Styles and I think just about anything that works for you goes and I think a denim skirt is a great piece to have in your wardrobe I think it could definitely become a staple if you find the right style for you and I think personal preference is very important here and what you feel good in and that's with anything you wear and so I prefer the midi length I also love the Maxi which has become a lot of fun but I also think I'm going to love something above my knee for spring and summer especially as hot as it gets here so if I can find a good one um I could do a styling video on it for you but I think denim skirts are just super easy to wear you can pair them with lots of different things sandals sneakers t-shirts blouses uh just about anything so I do think this is a great closet staple but it's also one of those things that is very much on Trend so I don't know if you have noticed but it's really hard to find just a classic Jacket anymore you have to go to very specific places to find one and they are still available and we probably all have one in our closet but denim jackets have really just blown up in all different styles I have seen so many it can be a little bit overwhelming so you have anywhere from your really oversized Styles which have been on trend for a while it's part of that '90s or Y2K trends that are really big right now and maybe even 80s as well and then you're finding your crop versions which I love I purchased one in the fall and I have really enjoyed it and we'll probably wear that through the spring and then you're also going to see pum Styles which I think are a lot of fun and the pum Blazers and pum tops are very on trend for 2024 so it doesn't surprise me that we are going to see these in denim jackets as well and then also another one is more like your utility or Safari style jacket that ties at the waist and I have seen a lot of these in stores right now and I started to see them in the fall and I think they're picking up steam for 2024 so if if you love that style jacket then this would be a good time to find one and there are also a lot of embellished styles that you can find so if you want rhinestones or embroidery or even pearls things like that then you will be able to find those as well I have talked about this trend in previous videos I think it was last year and that is your denim Blazers and I have yet to find one I tried ordering one at the Nordstrom anniversary sale but it didn't fit that well it was too big and too long but I do love this trend and I have already started to see a lot more coming out in stores so if you love Blazers and you have not added a denim Blazer then I definitely think you should for 2024 because I think this trend is growing and since we're seeing a lot of different people create this there will be some really good options hopefully fingers crossed I'm hoping to find one this season so I can wear it in 2024 this next denim jacket I think would be great if you have a very casual lifestyle love wearing athleisure and just love Denim and that is your quilt denim jackets and there have been some really fun options that I have seen for Springtime and I think I saw some for fall and winter but I think this is a great spring jacket it's lightweight the material looks really springy and fun and I just think it's a good option to wear especially for transitioning and for those cooler days and I just think they're really cute and a different option if you want just a cute Denim look but are tired of all the other denim jackets and don't want a Blazer then this would be a good option that is a lot of fun and it's great for a really casual everyday wardrobe and it's great for more mild weather so I did say that you would find denim across the board in all categories of fashion and I am not kidding so you're also going to find denim handbags which I'll talk about now and then I'll talk about denim shoes in a minute but for denim handbags there are all different styles of denim handbags and I actually talked about this in a handbag Trends video last year and I just think that this trend is growing denim is huge right now so you are going to see a lot of it in a lot of different categories and with a denim handbag I just think it's a lot of fun if you want to add some denim to your outfit and you're not wearing denim I think this is the best way to go I do think it'd be hard to wear a denim bag with a denim outfit unless it matched really well that's just my opinion because I'm a little bit picky about that but I think a denim handbag would be fun and if you want to add some denim probably a little more inexpensively it is a little bit trendier but for someone that doesn't wear a lot of denim on their body this would be a fun choice to have in your wardrobe for spring and summer and probably even for fall and winter in 2024 and so denim shoes are also a very big Trend and I remember talking about this one last year as well and it is even bigger this year I have seen every style of shoe covered in Denim and that is your kitten heel mules I have seen some of your sling back shoes sneakers and I mean all kinds of flats and different styles that you can choose from and even ankle boots for the springtime so I do love this idea and I think you could pair it with some of your other denim because denim from head to toe is actually a trend if you can put it together well but you can definitely wear it with a lot of your brighter colors some of your khakis and you know some of your neutral outfits I think would be a lot of fun to add a denim shoe to just to add in that denim Trend and it just actually looks really good so maybe this is something that you have not tried yet that you might want to try in 2024 especially during the spring and summer because there have already been a lot of styles that I have seen out there for you so those are going to be all your best denim choices for 2024 starting this spring and summer and I would love to know which one was your favorite and what you know that you will be
