What I've been going through

hands off my tripod hey um okay this is Woody you've kind of met him because you saw my birth video um you're probably like why are you showing this kid's face you don't show a cosmos face this is probably this is definitely the last video I'll show his face in I actually you might not remember but with Cosmo um when he was born I showed him for a couple months as well and to be honest I like didn't even have a chance to show Woody at least a little bit like I did last time um because we've been going through some stuff is it distracting watching me swing is it making you seasick the last thing I want is for you to be season but he'll be happier if I swing close your eyes and listen if you're seasick to be honest not showing my kids faces online is like so freaking hard you have no idea it's not like this really um easy decision that we made Eric and I um it's really hard because my kids are really cute like Cosmos at the cutest age and I just I wish I could capture it I wish I could share him with the world I don't know it's just it's really hard because I'm like oh the world needs to see his cuteness and he's just so smart and hilarious and enjoyable to be around and he's just he's just the best and um you know Woody is the same and yeah I stopped showing Cosmo around two or three months and Woody is at the balding three-month Mark just about so I'm just gonna share a little bit about what we've been going through because I am going to make a whole video about it with my last baby with Cosmo um he he and I really struggled with breastfeeding like we it was a challenge and I'm gonna share about that in my video and this time around it was even harder I couldn't believe it I was like convinced like no we won't have a problem this time I already went through it the first time this time I won't have a problem but the biggest blessing and the thing I'm so freaking grateful for is the fact that I had an amazing lactation consultant this time who really helped me hand through the whole thing I cried just thinking about her her name's Lanell King and she's sort of like the person in Southern Idaho like people drive from very far to come see her because she is that good she has eight children and she runs a little lactation consultant office called family seasons and if you're in the area and you're just you need some guidance she's your gal we're coming out of it right now but um Woody had some trouble pulling milk and it wasn't a latch issue and it wasn't a supply issue it was just a pulling milk issue and because he couldn't pull enough milk out my Supply did dip because that's that's how breastfeeding goes is like your supply is only as good as the demand and that he wasn't um pulling enough milk out it's been such a journey and so for I think it's been about six weeks I think um I've been exclusively pumping for the first two weeks it was every three hours 24 7 like around the clock in the middle of the night which was so hard I'm already getting up in the middle of the night but getting up to pump and leaving him and then he wakes up because we co-sleep and like he's like where's mom like that's the really hard part and anyway and since then I've been you know pumping throughout the day and breastfeeding at night and then and doing um exercises with him and I'm gonna tell the whole story it will because I think it can help people out there I think it can inspire people if I can be available to say because I was so freaking committed like my mom was like Hannah most people would have given up at this point and I was like I'm not most people breastfeeding is non-negotiable for me and we made it happen and Lynelle was so amazing like when I went to her office just like in tears I showed up at her office in the front desk gal was like okay what's your name and I was like just like the most stressful the most stressful thing and it was really stressful when I went through it with Cosmo it was just as stressful in like different ways there were different experiences but lynell told me in our first meeting I said Lanell I want to breastfeed like I don't want to pump I want to breastfeed and she's like oh you will breastfeed by the end of this it's gonna be hard it's gonna be messy but you will breastfeed and it's been such a journey and I'm finally coming out of it I just got the news a couple days ago that I don't have to rely on pumped milk anymore and um because he's getting enough and um growing like a weed he's really growing now it's really really great and so now I'm just doing one pump in the morning one pump at night and to be honest I just actually texted lynnell I was like I can't even get him to take the Pumped milk because he's So Satisfied at the breast which is amazing and yeah more to come but I want you all to know if you struggle with breastfeeding either now like you're currently in it or you went through it before girl I am with you because it is so it can be such a challenge and is such work and there's this misconception that breastfeeding is just like so so a lot of people myself included and my biggest biggest takeaway from this is I will never take breastfeeding for granted ever look at this kid look at you [Music] oh I do I love it I'm so cool all I have to do is put it back and it looks like it did right here [Music] [Applause] [Music] I hope it turns into like a recording so do I whoa [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] I go probably get out of the crib it's time for dinner he goes unfortunately I'm getting in the crib right now good job Woody go go woody woody number one oh my gosh it feels so good to be at the river this is like no I have my friend back I know well I've had you though you've come to visit me but you know for fun adventures seriously I have a whole trip to the mountains planned and we are so excited it's literally like the Airbnb house is like tell me about your trip and I'm like we're celebrating because I had breastfeeding struggles for somebody who will listen she didn't respond she didn't reply she was like okay oh my gosh she's so big right yes it's so big he looks so good [Music] what [Music] we
