in Geometry there's eight gamees that come with their own gimmicks and skill sets that affect how players use them each game mode comes with their own possibilities and can be very different in gameplay and because of this many players find certain game modes to be harder than others but there's no real conclusion to what exactly the hardest game mode in J dash is so in this video we're going to be ranking each game mode in three categories which are complexity which is how much can be done with the game mode skill cap which is how hard the game mode can possibly be and lastly how learning the game mode is starting with the easiest game mode from combining all these C C ories together the spider came out to be the easiest game mode and it makes sense starting with complexity the spider has the least amount you can really do with it which is why it gets a score of 1 out of 10 in this category with this spider game mode there's no physics really at all as a click makes an instant teleportation which honestly doesn't create a lot of potential for it being a single input game mode without any holding involved gives rid of a lot of possibilities through the game mode the only way to really add on to the spider is by adding orbs and pads which honestly just makes it similar to other game modes going to its skill cap it also ranks a 1 out of 10 due to it being really hard to create hard gameplay with it as you can only create really tight timings with it and maybe some click patterns but that's about it this is also why the spider is really good in duels however it does rank a 4 out of 10 in the lty category as it is kind of hard to get the hang of at first because the teleportation gimmick isn't seen in any other game mode and putting it all together the spider gets an overall rank of two out of 10 now this next game mode was probably what a lot of you thought would be the easiest but came out to be the second easiest which is the cube game mode the cube game mode is what you think of when you play geometry dash it's literally the first game mode in every single main level and because of this it's pretty simple just like the spider but just only a little bit more complex as I rank the Cuba 2 out of 10 with complexity because it just has a bit more that you can do with it compared to the spider you can see in levels like Atomic Cannon how the Cube game mode can be used to its full potential but still can't do as much as other game modes you can only move when you're on Solid ground or touching orb which removes a bit of the possibilities in my opinion it also involves holding an input unlike the spider unless you count black orbs as holding inspired Parts going to the skill cap I think the KE would rank a three out of 10 when considering how hard it can be you can create really fast and learned gameplay with the cube as it is a Time game mode but there's a point where the cube just can't get any harder there's a point where a certain jump can't be possible anymore and you have to rely on click patterns to make it harder which is really hard to do with a cube now considering how learning the cube is I gave it a 2 out of 10 since it's really easy to get the hang of it's pretty simple as one input makes you jump which jumping and falling are the only physics that the cube so with this the cube has an overall score of 2.33 out of 10 this next game mode is basically the cube but if it could jump all the time which is a UFO I rank the UFO a three out of 10 on complexity as you can do a little bit more with it than you can with a cube as it relies on single inputs and move just like the cube just the difference is you can make an input anytime you can also see how the UFO is more appropriate for gameplay that involves more contact with blocks and slopes as you're able to push down the UFO with slopes unlock the cube which in my opinion just makes it a little bit bit more complex you can also create interesting UFO gameplay by adding orbs to make UFO jumps at different heights going to its skill cap I ranked it a 4 out of 10 since unlike the cube you will need to rely on previous clicks to be sure you're aligned for timing coming up as with the cube you're usually on blocks to help you be aligned but the UFO doesn't allow that anywhere near as often as you're always in the air though there is a point where the UFO can't really get any harder with timings so it rings just a tiny bit higher than the cube going to how hard it is to learn I give it a three out of 10 as it's just a bit harder to understand than the cube as you need to know how high it jumps and how slow it falls as well as how to position yourself with upcoming timings but other than that it's fairly simple to understand and with that that gives the UFO an overall score of 3.33 our next game mode on the list is the ball which is very similar in physics to the spider just it doesn't instantly teleport in my opinion I think the ball is a for on complexity as there's so much more you can do with the game mode when compared to the spider as there isn't instant teleportation removing the possibilities the reason for the ball being high in complexity is because it can go all over the screen meaning it allows for different types of gameplay to be created however the ball can only make an input when it's on Solid ground or on an orb but the gravity flipping mechanic allows for a bit more variety within the gameplay when compared to another groundbased game mode like the cube going to its skill cap it rings a four out of 10 which makes sense since it's another timing game mode but it is on the higher end of timing game modes due to the gravity flipping mechanic allowing creators to make harder gameplay as they can create different types of Click patterns that affect how hard the gameplay is now going with how learned it is it's pretty simple as it introduces a gimmick that is really easy to get the hang of you just need to know what an input does and how the physics of the ball Works along with it it's just a tiny bit larnier than the cube in my opinion giving a three for how Lear it is putting it all together the ball gets an overall score of 3.67 now this is where the list gets interesting since the second half of this list includes game modes that start requiring more unique skill sets than just timings the most basic of these is the robot game mode as it is still a timing game mode but includes some skill with how you hold your inputs in my opinion the robot has a complexity score of five as you're able to create different types of robot holds being long and short to fit the game playay you're still a little limited though as you can only jump on the ground even though the robot is similar to the cube as it jumps only on Solid Ground it's objectively way harder since you don't jump the same height every time which is why it gets a skill cap of 5 out of 10 compared to the cubes three out of 10 the robot stands out compared to every other time in game mode since you still have to time your jumps but at the same time you have to hold for the right amount of time instead of just a single input the hold mechanic adds just a little bit of skill to the robot which makes its skill cap way higher I also gave it a 6 out of 10 on how learning it is says you need to know how the physics on the robot work as well the robot also has slightly different gravity than the cube as you may not have thought which makes it a little bit more difficult to get the hang of you of course need to learn how the holding mechanic Works to know how high you need to go and where you'll end up after a release which can be hard to get the hang of but this gives a robot an overall score of 5.33 coming from me personally this next entry may be surprising but I actually put the wave as a third hardest game mode but trust me it makes sense with how much you can do with the wave there's a lot which is why I ranked it an eight on complexity you see the reason the wave is so complex is the components that can be added on to it if you make it Min it switches the angle it moves at now going to its skill cap The Wave by far has the highest skill cap which is why I ranked it at 10 wave is known for being the game mode of the hardest parts of many levels including mine which is due to the fact wave can have really tight sections and it's fairly simple to control which allows for players to complete way harder sections along with it being fairly simple to control the wave really isn't that learny not even at all since I gave it a 1 out of 10 on how learny it is the wave has the most simple physics of any game mode in Geometry Dash in fact it has no physics at all it goes up and down at the same angle without any acceleration to it which makes it extremely easy to understand the only thing that makes it learny is when levels make it learny with click patterns you would have to practice to get the hang of but when you put it all together the wave gets an overall score of 6.33 which puts it below the top two game modes taking second place is the latest game mode to be added which is of course a swing copter or just a swing as the game calls it many people find the Swing Copter to be the hardest game mode which makes sense since it's only been around for a few months and is vastly different from the Swing Copter before 2.2 but eventually people will get used to it starting with its complexity I believe it should have a six in this category as there is a lot more to do with the swing when compared to other game modes because it isn't in groundbased game mode it allows for creggers to add more inputs as you can click in the air at any time the only thing holding the swing back from being more complex is that it only relies on single inputs as holding inputs does nothing for the swing but the swing does allow for some pretty interesting movements and gameplay when it's used to its full potential the swing is also pretty unique with how it handles orbs in its gameplay as the physics are very different from any other game mode now with it skill cap it's pretty hard to determine since the swing has only been around for 4 months at this point but I decided to give it a skill cap of six as my estimate because of the unique physics and being a single input game mode it skill cap isn't as high as something like the wave as is both the timing and skill-based game mode mix in one it's pretty hard to make consistently tight gameplay with a swing that functions well now going to how learning it is I give it an 18 people are still struggling a lot with the swing myself included since the swing isn't really anything like any other game mode it's hard to get used to there's a lot going on with how the physics of the Swing work which makes it harder to learn it's also hard to understand how orbs work with the swing for a lot of people since people were so used to the swing before 2.2 that the new swing changes how people understand the game mode and with that the swing gets a score of .67 now going to the hardest game mode some may agree a lot while Others May disagree but I found the hardest game mode to be the ship when putting everything together even though I myself have been really good at ship I was trying to make this list from an objective standpoint the ship is by far the most complex game mode out of the eight game modes in Geometry Dash for several reasons it allows for many different types of gameplay that can be combined together you can create any maneuverability you want with a ship involving different amounts of holding you can make the ship hit its head on blocks or slopes that adds more diversity to the gameplay or you could be boring and just create extremely long straight fly once again using Atomic as an example you can see the potential the ship game mode has to offer when used in extremely diverse ways which not only makes it harder but also just more fun in general now the ship has a pretty high skill cap as well just being second in the category right behind a wave with a score of8 out of 10 the ship is the most skill-based game mode in Geometry Das by far as every input relies on how long you hold it along with the physics involved with it with it by far being the most skill-based game mode it makes sense that skill cap is really high it's just the wave is way more simple allowing for way harder gameplay but you're able to create really tight gameplay with precise Maneuvers using the ship unlike a lot of other game modes now it's hard to consider how learny the ship is but I decided to give it a seven the ship has been around for as long as the game itself has been around as it was introduced along with the cube as the first few game modes but the ship's physics makes it so hard for new players to get the hang of since the physics of the ship is something new players aren't going to be used to it takes a while to understand how the ship moves along with how long you hold an input in order to start getting used to it but it does eventually get in your muscle memory and feels like second nature so with it being the hardest game mode the ship gets a score of 8.33 now I know a lot of people would disagree with this list but I try to make it from the perspectives of everyone not just for myself which is why the wave isn't the hardest since I suck at it but I made a community post the other day and there were a variety of different answers but the most common answers were the ship swing and wave game modes which makes sense as they're the most skill-based game modes but take these ideas in consideration if you end up making a level of your own as game modes are a major part of the balancing of the level I hope you all got something out of this so thanks for watching
