what's going on everyone Jake here from half Chrome and today I want to talk about the best drones that you can buy today for less than 200 there's a handful of pretty solid options out there I'm going to kind of break down 10 of my favorites stay tuned [Music] okay before I get started there are a handful of things you got to keep in mind when you're shopping for a drone specifically for a drone in this price range first thing you need to look at is what kind of camera does it have and actually how is that video stabilized if at all some drones have gimbals that kind of move up and down and stabilize the video the best gimbal you can get is a three axis gimbal some drones will have two axis gimbals and that's not quite as good and other drones will use electronic image stabilization so they stabilize the image electronically just remember a three axis gimbal is the best you can get if there's no stabilization run because that video is going to be pretty darn terrible another thing you want to look at are the motors are they brushed or brushless motors now a brushless motor is going to be a little bit more powerful a little bit more efficient but also a little bit more expensive so something to consider this here is a brushless motor but brush motors tend to be a little bit cheaper but they do wear out over time so you're going to have to replace them or replace your drone another important thing to note is the bottom of the Drone are there sensors on the bottom of the Drone is there a camera is there an optical flow sensor are there infrared sensors does it have GPS these are all things that will help with stability both indoors and out so definitely something to think about I've seen a lot of drones recently with fake sensors so don't be fooled the other thing you have to take with a grain of salt is 4K video almost every drone these days will tell you they have a 4k camera sometimes it's actual 4K sometimes it's upscaled 4K they're not really lying but they kind of are so you have to look at the Quality and I would definitely check out a review of the Drone itself so you can kind of gauge is this really good enough there are a lot of things that make a good camera and it's not just the resolution it's sensor size sensor quality F number all those things play into how good your video and pictures will be so just kind of keep that in mind and don't just buy something because it says 4K in fact there are some HD cameras or 2.7 cameras that do a better job than a lot of 4K cameras out there this list of drones isn't any particular order and if there's something on this list that you're looking for I've got a link down below yes they are affiliate links and they will help support the channel they don't cost you a thing all right so here we go with my first recommendation and it's this guy maybe my favorite option for less than 200 this is the C fly Faith mini this one might have the best video quality on my list and actually it's only recording at 2.7 k at 25 frames a second that's not ideal but it's still pretty darn good and I think this with its intelligent flight modes really make it a really solid option it does have a full three axis Gimbal and yes it can record 4K video but only 15 frames a second I think that looks a little too choppy this one weighs less than 250 grams which means you don't have to register with the FAA if you're in the U.S and it's not subject to remote ID you get a flight time of up to 26 minutes and a range of 3 000 meters that's just shy of two miles definitely a lot to like about this drone I took it on vacation with me and I was able to capture some pretty solid video I've seen this drone for about 175 dollars usually it's about 190 but still under 200 bucks definitely worth checking out this little guy is next on my list of favorite drones under tour bucks and this is the rise Tello it's actually less than a hundred dollars which usually I wouldn't throw this in the video but it's so darn good as a beginner drone that I had to talk about it now it does only have an HD camera it's 720p but it is stabilized electronically so you will still get some shakes and Jitters it has a 13 minute flight time and a range of only 100 meters and you can fly this thing with your phone you can actually connect it to a Bluetooth controller if you want more of a real drone experience but this really does well as a beginner drone it's incredibly stable and has a bunch of sensors on the bottom we have a couple of infrared sensors as well as a camera looking at the ground I really like this drone in fact I use this in my classroom I teach kids how to fly on these plus you can even program it yeah you can fly this thing with drag and drop code it is of course under 250 grams so no remote ID or registration needed it does even have a couple of intelligent flight modes we got your your dronies your up and aways your orbits and things like that and it'll even do some flips for you it's just an excellent drone to start with and you're not going to break the bank at 99 bucks now the next drone on my list here comes in this fancy carrying case this is the bugs 18 Pro it does have a 3-axis gimbal it does shoot in 4k it does have GPS and a handful of intelligent flight modes you can do orbits and follow me and a handful of other things including return to home not only does it have this real 3x gimbal it also will stabilize things electronically so you do really get pretty smooth footage I don't think the camera is professional quality but it is really good enough for most beginners when this drone was released it was less than 200 but recently I've seen the price creep up over to hundreds you gotta kind of look out for that I find a lot of these drones have really good prices on places like banggood whereas on Amazon they tend to be a little bit higher one of the things that's nice about this drone is I can shoot in HD at 60 frames a second which is cool if I'm going to shoot some slow-mo bugs 18 Pro will give you a flight time of 25 minutes in a range of 3000 meters again that's just under two miles solid beginner option is something you may want to consider plus you get some goodies like a bag and the bugs 18 Pro solid beginner option okay so my next drone is actually one of three options uh here I have the holystone HS 600 which is made by a company called sjrc now they have a couple of similar models called the F-22 and f11 and they're basically the same thing here these drones only have two axis gimbals so we're not stabilizing in the yaw they will chord in 4k and they'll give you 26 minutes of flight time they do have GPS so they have a bunch of fun flight modes orbit follow me stuff like that now the holy Stone version is generally sold on Amazon and it's a little bit more expensive except there's coupon codes that they gave me in the link down below plus a lot of times you can kind of check one off on Amazon and then the sjrc versions you can find on banggood this drone is anywhere between 170 and 220. these drones are all super similar so buy the one that gives you the best deal okay so the next one on my list is a zllsg906 and there are a handful of different versions of this drone we've got the pro we've got the Pro 2 we've got the max the max 2 the Max three again all super similar uh there's moderate changes uh Within These models the Pro 2 version that's a three axis gimbal the Max and the Evo still have three axis gimbals they'll shoot in 4k now it's not professional quality 4K but it's still pretty darn good some of them have obstacle avoidance modules on top and that adds a cost to it but I wouldn't recommend the obstacle avoidance it just isn't very good it'll sense things and stop I found that it kept me from flying in places that I wanted to the Pro 2 is the version that I'd recommend and that's going to give you a range of about 1200 meters there's a Max and an EVO they give you a little bit more range and the camera's a little bit better but they're going to push the price up over 200 so I got the Pro 2 that's the version that I recommend has GPS stability a handful of flight modes it's a solid beginner option it's an extra on my list is a tall and skinny guy this is the flyhaul FX1 it's actually also made by mjx as the bugs 16 Pro this one actually might be the best bang for your buck I've seen it for about 160 dollars we've got a full three axis Gimbal and electronic image stabilization now it doesn't have a ton of flight modes get the ones you want orbit follow me and I believe it has waypoints as well now the range is only 600 meters which doesn't sound like a whole lot but that's still over a quarter a mile remember you have to be able to see your drone at all times that's a legal requirement us the 20 minute flight time is pretty solid now if you can still find this thing as the bug 16 Pro that's pretty awesome but I'm having more luck finding this thing registered as the flyhaul FX1 again link down below if you're looking for the long skinny design is an interesting take little enoughy-esque if you ask me okay so I'm really gonna deviate here and recommend something for less than fifty dollars I love flying tiny whoops it's a drone like this small ducted propellers you can fly this thing indoors my favorites are the E Sheen ones you have the e010 the e011 the e017 actually is my favorite it's one of these drones with altitude hold so it kind of manages the throttle for about 30 bucks you can get one of these drones and flat inside and actually these are really hard to fly if you can fly one of these things you can pretty much fly anything and at thirty dollars it's a great way to start to learn how to fly without breaking the bank they even make Christmas themed ones great little stocking stuffers these things aren't expensive but they also have short flight times and they're not going to get far away from you right so we're talking four to seven minutes depending on your drone and maybe 100 meters away but they're pretty darn cheap so you got to keep that in mind I like to actually convert these things into fpv drones which that's a whole new level let's talk about that now if you're into flying fpv and I think it should because it's super fun totally unique experience when you're flying a drone and you can convert one of those little inexpensive tiny whoops but really you're going to want to start with one of these this is how I suggest you get into fpv you buy a controller not a drone this is the radio Master pocket it's like 65 and this is the radio Masters Zorro it's about 130. these are two really good radios that you can learn how to fly with you plug these into your computer and there are a whole lot of drone simulator options out there you learn how to fly with one of these on a Sim because you don't want to crash a real live drone because when you crash you're gonna have to fix it and that's both time and money so learn how to fly the easy way now there are all in one fpv packages and they're a little bit more than 200 bucks but I'm going to tell you the best one here in a second there will be the Emax tiny honk three or the easy pilot Pro comes with a radio the Drone and even a set of goggles that doubles as a screen so definitely the way to go uh it's gonna cost you a little over 200 bucks I think I saw the last one for like 230 240. that's easy pilot Pro the tiny Hawk 3 is a little bit more expensive but getting into fpv can be a hassle you gotta learn how to bind the Drone to the remote get everything connected to the goggles set things up on betaflight if you buy one of these ready-made kits from emacs it's all kind of done for you I know I kind of broke the rule this kit just over 200 bucks is the way to go but it's really hard to find you know a good fpv kit for less than 200. you can buy the Emax tiny Hawk too it is less than 200 but really dislike the remote on that one this one is so much better so make sure you're getting the gray remote when you do okay so my last option is actually to find a use DJI drone uh the mini the mini SE the mini 2 sometimes sometimes you can find them for close to 200 other options you may want to consider a phantom 3 a DJI spark they're just really good um if you can find one or even a refurbished version I've had really good luck with refurbished drones on Amazon those are some other options you may want to consider now the DJI mini SE is about 330 340 brand new and it's really kind of the best semi-professional great drone that I'd recommend if that's really what you're into now I'd love to hear from you what did I miss you know I know some people really like the Walkera 210 I've got one of those on the way so I'll do a review of that plus the new uh mini SE from wallkara I know C fly the first droneless Bliss is making a c fly mini two I'm gonna review that one as well so I've got all of these drones kind of coming in so if you want to see reviews on those make sure you hit that subscribe button so we can find out what is the best drone for you that's less than 200 anyway leave a comment down below if you thought I missed something or if there's a drone you think would be better suited for this list and also if you're thinking about going pro make sure you check out our information on the part 107 guy good luck everyone and happy flying [Music]
