What if i dont obey

from the hand of God when we obey and this week we're going to talk about what if you choose to disobey tell your neighbor you got a choice you got a choice yesterday we were in Durban and it was just so amazing a man walked up to me and said to me you don't know me and said I was invited to a church 2006 and where you came to preach the Word of God said I walked into the church not believing not being a Christian not serving God and there you were preaching on the power of faint and you made a statement and change my life completely you said that the issue is never been with since and it's not a issue with God it's the administration of the grace of God and men's inability to have faith in God he said that night I got born again I got saved me and my nephew and today I'm a late person and the kingdom of God and I'm living for Jesus and I'm safe and I'm washed in the blood and I just want to say thank you for doing what you are doing I've been following your ministry all these years and thank you for the blessing that you are we did a funeral last week Saturday and woman came to me just after we left name happened to be Ho debt said to me you don't know me I came to your church early two-thousands my life was the wreck was born of a middle-class family dropped out first EA University was pregnant when I came that morning to church and there you were preaching the unadulterated Word of God and I was faced with particular challenges but that morning I responded to the Word of God and I made Jesus the Lord of my life based upon your invitation my life was changed and transformed when I went back I told my boyfriend who at the time wanted me to abort the baby I told him and he held a gun against my head but because of the world that you preached I was so moved in my heart that I stood at my decision long story short she said to me I served here in the church after I got saved and later on God did some tremendous things in my life I'm currently married I've got the baby the baby is not aborted I went back to school I finished my first degree I'm now busy with my second degree I am married and I'm very happy thank you very much for the work that you're doing for God that's how we continue to touch people's lives and it's only eternity that will one day reveal the number of people who have been changed and transformed by the power of the word of God we must always try to help the people we must always try to speak good words words of hope words of healing what's the blessing words of encouragement words to uplift people don't break people down everybody has got enough struggles and problems of their own amen amen every soul has got its own challenge so do everything in your power to always try and be a blessing to people and live them up and speak a word of encouragement have is going to surprise you one day when you get there the amount of people that would be in the kingdom as a result of your obedience to God hallelujah love people that's very important tell your neighbor let's make a commitment to love one another what if I disobey would you consider please Deuteronomy chapter number 28 I think I would like us to read from verse number 15 can you put jarana me chapter number 8 28 verse 15 but it shall come to pass if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God to observe carefully all his commandments and his statutes which I command you today that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you 16 curse will you be in the city and curse shall you be in the country curse shall be your basket and your knitting bajo curse shall be the fruit of your body and the produce of your land the increase of your cattle offspring of your flock curls shall you be when you come in and curse shall you be when you go out the Lord shall send on you cursings confusion and rebuke all that in your that you set in your hand to do until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly because of the wickedness of your doings in which you have forsaken me look at your neighbor tell them you have the power of choice my brothers and sisters it is very important that we consider God's dealing with his children and that we extract from the very important historical narratives some of those incidents that has been recorded but the writers of the good book we extract that for our own advantage and for our benefit as we continue to walk with God men is a free moral agent what does that mean it means you are not like the animals it means that you have been uniquely created by God and God has given you the power of your will animals does not have this privilege because they don't have a will but man has been created by God and God decided that I am going to create you as a free moral agent and I am going to give you the power of choice choice God your father created Adam and Eve and place them in a utopia called Eden which was a mirror reflection of heaven your father told them all of this has been prepared for your pleasure and for your enjoyment however in the middle of the garden there is a tree it is called the tree of knowledge of good and of evil don't eat from that tree because in the day that you eat from that tree you die you'll die you can enjoy everything in the garden but stay away from that tree the Bible says the serpent who happened to be more subtle than all the animals avail himself and the voice of the enemy spoke through him as it approached the woman did God say to you that you mustn't eat he said to her God knows that in the day that you eat from this tree you will be just like God knowing good and evil you are not going to die you are just going to be like God the woman then exercised the power of choice she took a willful sober decision to willfully disobey God she took from the fruit the serpent did not give her the fruit he planted a seed that placed a question mark upon the integrity of the Word of God but the choice to pick the choice to select the choice to participate the choice to disobey was solely that of the woman she took of the fruit and then she ate and after she ate she gave me to her husband when he looked at her he could have rescued the situation but he to use the power of his choice to disobey God and instead of listening to God he listened to his wife and when they ate both of them the Bible says the eyes of both of them were opened and they discovered they were naked from their guilt begin to settle in because they disobeyed from their anxiety and fear trepidation and great concern became part of the order of the day because of disobedience from there they lost the glory of God because they were covered in the brightness of the light of God and they lost the second ray the glory of God and discovered that they were naked from there they make for themselves coverings of leaves they change God's best for that which was temporary and which was destined to corrupt because of disobedience they hid themselves in the garden trying to run away from God your father because of disobedience when God called them they said well we are hiding ourselves because we are naked and your father asked them who told you you are naked have you done what I told you not to do it's as well it's the woman which you have given me the woman said no it is the serpent that beguiled me and from there the judgment of God is pronounced over the serpent the judgment of God is pronounced over the women and God said to her from now on you are going to bring four children in the earth with great sorrow and with great pain why because of disobedience God said your desire will be to watch your husband and he will rule over you why because of disobedience and God said to the man why have you done this he says curse because you took a decision to disobey me God said to him the earth will bring four tongs and deserves because of you because you disobey me God said to him from today everything that I have given you you didn't work for it I place you in a utopia provide of your needs but from today you are going to live from of the sweat of your brow you are going to Tyler you are going to remember because you did not obey me my brothers and sisters listen to your pastor it is a painful thing to disobey God it looks so easy when the enemy comes to us as God's children and he shows us all of the options and the probabilities and the possibilities and he tells us well you are missing out on life but what he doesn't show us is the pain beyond the disobedience it's the sadness beyond the disobedience is the suffering beyond disobedience is the degradation beyond disobedience it is the humiliation disobedience and I have come this morning to encourage you in the presence of God it doesn't matter how it might look to you last week I spoke to you about the power of your father's blessing your father says to you if you will just obey me to overtake you you will be blessed in the city you will be blessed in the field you will be blessed coming in you will be going out you will not believe the God says I would bless up the fruit of your body the works of your hands everything that belongs to you because he knows that we have the power of - Oh baby oh baby will you be it is very interesting to note my brothers and sisters there are six blessings but twelve curses to disobey always cost you a premium tell you lady you don't want to disobey I'll give you a very simple example when you're hold on to grudges and you don't want to let go when you don't want to give up you are unforgiving you're walking around with the spirit on the inside of you so that your heavenly Father might forgive you opening the door don't disobey don't disobey when God tells us to do something in the bi BL e by the way thank you son for my knew what you taught me this little machine yeah that's he went after you heard my request went and got me this little thing so thank you thank you thank you thank you where am I now again you see W if I must blame you I'm not going to bleep this up and I'm going to blame you so big you and to your body now the unfortunate thing is that your disobedience as soon as countenance fallen is there no good recompense or reward if you do good and if you don't have the door it's the sorriest toward you but you have got to reign and rule over it the caution of the Father and his brother because of disobedience your disobedience to God will affect your children it's not just about you the reason why you've got to obey is because why what'd you do today will affect your children tomorrow it is to an expensive price by brothers and sisters to disobey rather obey it doesn't matter how difficult it may look it may sound of it is better for you to obey God do the voice of the devil the brother the other brother because of the disobedience of the children the children became the one son became disobedient to God because of the disobedience of off let me give you another example David David David he's got his issues he doesn't listen to God after too late sue the senses he doesn't listen to God as it relates to his responsibilities he goes my people don't do that and the angel of God what did the people do the people did not do anything the people don't even know about the conversation that God had with David yeah now the people of suffering because of the disobedience of the king I killed him that's what happens when we disobey your disobedience that's not just the people let's look at the Avett again David is upon the roof talkin there's a woman
