What If Chi-Chi Was A Z-Fighter?

now before we begin i'd like to point out that there will be an amended ending to this series with an additional epilogue something different for you this time around because i listened to what you said and i felt like needed a bit more explaining bit more open-endedness cheers [Music] hey folks master coax here now this is something that has been a long time coming ever since last year's december marathon where we looked at the dell's progress to becoming a major member of the dragon team people have been wondering whether we would do the same thing with someone like chichi the character that had been pushed to the background and made fun of by the likes of toriyama the show's creator for decades because of stereotypical ideology about japanese housewives fun right let's get into why we're doing this and why it needs to happen so making chichi a z fighter yes it needs to be explored in some capacity now granted i know you're going to say that we touched upon this in our what if goku was female series where chichi in that is part of the breakfast club of combat therefore becomes a dragon team member however i didn't want to just re-tread old ground i'd want a different spin to that as well as start something from much earlier back in the day of dragon ball to really explore chitty's character from her perspective and how it might impact the story or not impact the story that's the thing it's going to be really fun finding out what does occur and differentiates itself from the breakfast club version of chi-chi ok with that out of the way let's set the scene so it all begins in the time before fire mountain where it was known more aptly as pleasant mountain this is actual lord look it up the ox king had had a daughter named chichi and yet he had sadness in his heart as well his dear wife the ox queen had succumbed to the rigors of childbirth leaving him as the sole parent to look after his little girl of course thanks to his kind and good nature to those who he actually cared about he was a doting father and chichi had a good life for a little while that all changed of course when fire spirits engulfed the area and changed the area to be called fire mountain the ox king had asked them to protect the area with flame to ensure nobody could invade but his request got lost in translation that went south fast and the entire place ended up being ablaze not just a circular force field like he intended so despite having wealth and power oxen chichi didn't really have a proper home that wasn't tainted with a king's mistake or lack of clarity in his instruction but one day things began to look up a young boy named goku and a brash teen named bulma arrived looking for something called a dragon ball something that ox was keen to protect as it was quite valuable however things eased a bit when he found out that grandpa gohan was the kid's parental figure with the help of his daughter they were able to go back to roshi's to get the bancho fan only to then find out it had been pawned off many years ago by the master so yeah he has to go and do his kamehameha stick instead taking out the fire and most of the mountain now this is where things change for the little girl now this is a common misconception for some fans but chichi wasn't always loud abrasive and paranoid like we see in z she started off actually as timid meek and yet she wore that how does that work anyway toriyama had created her to be the princess to goku's prince sooner or later but he then eventually bailed on that concept halfway through dragon ball realizing that he couldn't actually write her in a decent way so he reverted to what he did best right brash and aggressive dames and chichi was just like that for the 23rd tournament he just referred it to type well not today as things were wrapping up and roshi was about to head for home chichi suddenly spoke with a loud and determined push teach me watch that kiddo said roshi with some confusion i want to learn how to do what you did to protect my home so nobody can endanger it ever again and we don't need to rely on fire mages to do it right daddy oxler very awkward i don't know what you mean sweetie nasi no goods did all this i had nothing to do with it roshi gave her a serious expression and sized her up no not like that stop it is she well what do you think arcs ox was back in the spotlight again he was very much torn the idea of his daughter was very laudable and would be useful for when his time was passed but he knew his master well and would be naturally perturbed about his nature spilling over onto his daughter but he couldn't say no to his little girl but then goku made his mind up for him she can tag along with us chichi's eyes beamed she did like goku a lot and was amazed by his skills at learning the kamehameha so fast the chance to be close to him more and more was very enticing daddy goku will protect me i'll be all right that made oxfield a little bit more assured so he took the young one aside i hope you know what you're doing cheeky is very important to me especially after we lost her mother so tragically promise me that you'll take good care of her okay goku nodded sure mister not really realizing that chichi was eyeing him up for husband material goku just wanted to be helpful here is all moshi makes a decision tell you what if she can cope being around goku while he collects the dragon balls i'll train you kid and if not said the king well well you can step in after all your powers not to be messed with you should really exercise it more ox didn't use his power that much since he was so strong he could have wrecked anybody without even trying and also he had gotten soft lately and was also racked with shame in front of his master his power was technically 900 but had fallen way below that in the interim so he just chose to look tough instead that usually worked through not fighting at all and as for his daughter it was a risk but ox knew goku was a good egg he'll be nice to his daughter or else so over the course of the first adventure gathering the dragon balls chichi didn't really contribute that much to proceedings since she was a bit of a hanger on since she had little experience in martial arts and what i mean is that she mostly acted as an additional party member but she had a moment thanks to a trusty helmet giving some bad guys a rough time most notably during the push against the carrot mob and monster carrot goku was impressed and told chichi that to which she blushed profusely yes she had been internally terrified with the whole ordeal but she really wanted roshi to teach her and so she would stomach whatever test this was and would ultimately win out having goku say nice things about her was also a nice little addition by the time we get to the wish in oolong saving the day as he does chichi has been through a lot especially finding out that her crush could turn into a giant gorilla that was pretty scary but what prevented her from bottling it at the last hurdle was that the monkey wasn't attacking her and was on their side if things had been different she probably would have gotten out there fast after all was said and done goku took chichi back to grandpa gohan's place to rest a little bit before then heading off to kame house and commencing their training he and hers but she didn't realize that gohan had actually been dead for years that hadn't come up so when goku introduced her to his it was a cushion which had once tougher dragon ball yeah before starbucks usually grandpa we'll find him again chichi was sad she felt sorry for goku to be all alone for this time yeah he had managed to survive out here on his own but it couldn't have been easy for him growing up well if she were to marry him and be his wife she would definitely take care of him they'd make a nice life together and he would always have someone to stand by his side but first she wanted to train herself up do something for herself marriage can come later for now though she wanted to get stronger and learn those cool key attacks that roshi demonstrated what also was nice for chiti to experience was the silence of mount palzu she loved this place it was tranquil and not on fire that was nice to not experience tremendous heat waves she could picture herself remaining here in the future why would she want to move to the city when this was right on your doorstep but once goku had rested up and fed from the river a giant fish to which chichi was mightily impressed with and shared they both headed for kamehaus to begin their training when they got there roshi was there to greet goku but actually never expected to see chichi standing right next to him so you actually lived huh so chichi was surprised you didn't expect me to make it well last like yourself i didn't picture that you could chi chi's eyes sparked with rage and she stomped the ground with a mighty thud don't judge me i just got here train me and then you can judge me roshi's glasses slipped slightly well seems like ox's latent strength was in there somewhere he then changed his tack there and then all right then we shall start in the morning make the most of this quiet time kiddos is not gonna be easy with that the two of them got themselves comfortable and prepared for the morning's training now i bet you're expecting roshi to be lecherous and sleazy with chichi seeing as she's a girl well no i don't believe you do that for two reasons first when it comes to martial arts training what's between your legs doesn't matter to roshi in that moment you are a student and you're expected to act like one and follow his rules modes and instructions he didn't even ask the two of them to score him a girl like he does in the original since they had technically done that with chichi but he never asked them to do so in the first place so that's how he managed to get around his own rules the second reason marx he'd kick his ass if he did that so that was obvious he wasn't gonna do that so when it came to the training proper the days were tough and chichi was definitely not used to this type of training goku found it easier but the repetition was getting to him he had the latent power to cope with this but he certainly didn't enjoy it they had also been joined by krillin whilst training and even with the addition of a third pier it really didn't make things easier yes krillin at that time was not as nice as he is now but he ended up being more mellow with chichi around and happened faster since she was pretty however she did turn him down soon into their time together she was saying that goku was the only one for her but then goku would be like uh but krill is here too can you see him oh goku so naturally you can tell that without the challenge to find a girl they don't mean launch at this point in the story will we meet her in time perhaps we shall have to wait for another chance to do so though if it ever comes around so now we fast forward a little bit eight months later goku chichi and krillin have trained their socks off with the same training day after day it had been hard arduous and stressful but they had done it in that time also the trio had become very good friends they stuck together to help get through the training as one and in their down time they would often play games and talked into the night when they really should have been sleeping preparing for the training the next day this means that chichi has a closer tie to krillin not a chance to be romantically evolved or anything like that but certainly more likely to hang out with each other than the original at least you could call them proper friends and another plus from training together and spending time with one another means that goku and chichi were much more solid there was much more going on in their relationship goku understood chichi more and liked her as a friend from the start he understood her more and brought her out from under a shell in the way that goku is famous for doing to which was very grateful she was feminine and sweet but she was pleased to know that underneath there was the power of an ox something she naturally inherited from her father she grew into a much more capable fighter more confident in herself as a person she felt tougher stronger and yet still herself she was worried that she might have lost her identity whilst training becoming just another fighting grunt she had seen kung fu movies where they become soulless fighters with no persona whatsoever but with krillin's presence it assured her that that wasn't always the case the kid chilled out during his time at kame house just like she had done much more relaxed than he had been after escaping the monastery one day roshi called the three of them together and said that they would be training the same old routine today they would be doing combat training to prepare themselves for the upcoming 21st world martial arts tournament i think your kids are ready for the next step of your training wait said krillin you mean all we've done isn't even past the first step roshi shook his head no i'm having to rush through things a little bit well i think you'll do all right now ideally you could use a few more years at this step but i'm feeling frisky the trio looked flawed there could have been years of this what chichi was almost sick of milk at this point but things looked up a bit when roshi presented all three of them the same orange present the turtle school ghee they had earned it ready to represent the school in the contest chichi was elated she had seen something similar in ox's study hanging up on the wall smaller than his current frame but one time ago it had housed his heft as he trained with roshi now she had her very own she felt so good right now for a few days before the tournament began this new training was far more refreshing anything would have been the three of them excelled in this new change of pace it was so welcome after months of staleness it was present also to the realization of their training it had been monotonous but it yielded results goku felt incredible much stronger than he had been when he first got there for chichi the change was even starker she didn't really have a power level worth speaking of when she began but now she felt invincible she had a power level of about 60 to goku's 100. yes it wasn't as powerful as goku's but since she's fully human and coming from nothing and also inheriting stuff remarks she can't be that strong as goku and she's also a rookie but give it time her multiplier game was greater though and on the day of the tournament she was ready to put on her ghee for the first time and in doing so she took off her helmet for the last time she didn't need it anymore she could rely on her own internal strength to guide her and keep her and her father safe you served me well but i'm ready for the next chapter but one last thing before she and the others left it was sunrise she was stood next to the shore getting into her signature stance to fire a kamehameha she hadn't been taught it yet that wasn't part of her training but she was one step closer wearing that ghee to achieve her dream then she felt someone standing behind her it was goku hey what you doing chichi blushed just it's silly but monday i can do what master can do well i can show you said goku with no fuss he walked up the chichi and then positioned her hands and torso to fit his take on the attack chichi was beat red at this being touched like this but kept her cool so now you gotta dig deep into yourself find your energy and pull it in your hands it feels weird but until i do it then you say the word follow me goku then got into his dance and asked chi chi to do it from scratch she followed his guide and after a few goes she could feel the energy moving to her hands and then above them into a small ball it was far smaller than goku's but it was there she was ecstatic so elated in fact she gave goku a massive hug and a little peck on the cheek thank you goku now i know this hasn't been a waste i got this she was motivated to improve and goku was happy to see her happy but confused as to why she put her lips on his face he had no idea where they had been but chichi was now ready to take on the 21st tournament eight months had been a long time away from her father so when she saw ox king at the grounds being left a wide berth for his naturally intimidating stature she was happy but the moment he saw his little girl all pretense went out the window and he knelt down and gave her a huge hug it's so good to see you sweetie he then felt something off log was different whoa you've gotten strong our hugs feel different chichi looked surprised it does now she thought about it she felt a little more toned than she had done before and to get a comment like that from an outside source really exacerbated the gains and progress she had made during her time at kamehaus before she could say that she was about to learn how to fire ki ox asked where roshi was goku shrugged said that he could make it due to the fact that he was sick ox is a little sad to hear that but he was still happy to see his daughter safe sound and fitter than ever as the kids were getting on with the preliminaries ox felt a strange sensation naturally since he was a student of the turtle school and probably one of its strongest other pupils i would assume that he could sense key just like his master at least to a degree and something caught his senses an old man with a grey head of hair named jackie chun caught his interest he had just arrived and was about to enter the small internal arena where the prelims were taking place but ox was about to stop him his key felt similar he studied him closer and realized that chun was actually roshi he waved over to him and shouted roshi's name which caught chun unawares and had him stomping over to the big lug keep your voice down locks you blow my cover whatever form master roshi sighed remember one of my first lessons i taught you about discipline to anticipate stronger enemies well that ox blinked and then nodded with gusto you i i see of course don't worry now keep quiet master you can't do any worse than just now and fear not i won't hurt them too much the only thing that will be bruised properly will be their egos ox nodded again and gave the ok sign as roshi resumed his trajectory to the prelim rings in the lineup chichi have managed to wheedle her way into the main event easily beating the likes of ron fahn sorry folks you ain't going to be getting any undressing in the ring motif besides i'm all about women feeling empowered but to me this scene it really came across more as something a bit sleazy and also nam should get a proper fight before goku if he actually gets passed so chichi goes to fight naam before she gets to the ring she's feeling confident she had seen krillin defeat bacterian and goku's opponent coming up didn't look that strong she had a feeling that all three of them could make it easily to the end but just as she was about to enter the ring jackie chun spoke to her why are you fighting kid huh what take every battle with the utmost seriousness your opponent may be going all out be unpredictable not every fight is in the bag no matter how tough you are with that you simply walked off before the girl could say anything in response weird now this is down to roshi using his telepathic powers yeah he had those at the time to sense naam's desperation and desire to bring fortune to his drought-stricken village yeah shouldn't felt bad for naam but he also wanted one of his students to make it to the final learning their lesson it was a tough decision to make so when it came to the actual fight chichi did heed the old man's advice and fought with determination despite feeling invincible naam could see the sincerity in her moves and praised her maturity for someone so young chichi was respectful to his words but didn't back down she pushed forward and it was a much closer battle than she had expected really close she just about won though thanks to chun's pep talk she had a feeling that if she hadn't heard that she could have lost because of her arrogance before naam was sad but he still got the capsule though of water from chun as compensation which made things a little better for the warrior sure enough this means that goku and chichi meet in the semi-finals now sadly for our femme fatale she would lose to goku this time since he has way more potential than her at this precise moment it was a fun battle though them knowing each other's tricks and tools and able to work around them but it ultimately came down to innate talent and a saiyan heritage unbeknownst to him of course which gave the boy the win gigi didn't feel bad though she knew that one of them had made it to the final at least she was a team player right now so she and krillin took to the stands with balmer and yamcha cheering on their friend bomber looked to chichi noting how much she had mellowed out since training with roshi and goku she wasn't acting like an uptight princess anymore just a regular gal say chi when this is all over you want to hang out this caught chichi off guard but she was not going to say no to some down time after a rigorous competition like this the beginnings of a good friendship outside of the turtle school perhaps the final plays out like before with jackie chun winning but all three of the turtle students learn about the means of discipline successfully and when they report back to roshi who suddenly turns around the corner after jackie had collected his winnings wandered off and roshi was right there hmm good you should all be proud of your efforts kiddos in such a short space of time but learn from it all the same there will always be strong fellas out there so be ready for them and with that he took the gang to dinner and goku ate the place out of business for the day as to be expected so in between this and the red ribbon army saga bulma and chichi take some time away from kame house to relax after the events roshi had given them some away time down time some leave to recuperate before getting back to training again goku and krillin chose to stay anyway citing they didn't really need a break but chi chi did she may have come on leaps and bounds since joining but she was still a little bit of a princess at heart and so some retail therapy and time away from the battlefield would be welcome every now and again bulma and chichi got on like a house on fire but the world of combat wasn't quite gone from shichi's field of vision a bank robbery had gone down in west city and chichi felt compelled to go and help the cops however the perpetrator had already gotten away so chichi chose to go and look for them around the area as bomber headed back to capture corp keen not to get in the crossfire this was something she could do the princess thought this wasn't too bad she found the mook after zipping around the crime scene a blond-haired dame carrying a big sack of money hold it crook chichi exclaimed and without pause the woman opened fire but a target was able to dodge all of the bullets this caught launch off guard how'd you do that that doesn't matter what matters is that i bring you to justice launch tries to reload a gun thinking that oh that was just a fluke but this gives chi-chi the opportunity to pounce and knock launch out with a slide under her legs leaping up behind the crook and chopping the thief on the back of the head the money bag fell to the floor as did its previous owner when the moment had subsided chichi had surprised herself she would never have been able to do that this time last year she said to nobody in particular she returned to the bank and the cops with launching her hand out cold wow thanks kid where did you find her chichi pointed to an alloy about five blocks away or so dumping the money bag on the floor beside launch that should be all of it see ya she then zipped off back to capture corp to catch up with bulma leaving the cops with launch unconscious and apollo zenni huh this was going to be some zany report to ride out later when launch came too she was in a prison cell the last thing she could remember was some little girl in a costume a karate dress or something trying to play superhero sliding away and then nothing now she was in here she got up and slammed the bars hey god i ain't done nothing wrong let me out the guard looked up and gave her a sour expression oh like i'm sorry miss launch you have any idea how long we've been after your sorry hide too long that's what i'll shut your mouth or i'll add disorderly behavior to your rap launch backed off not wanting more charges pressed and then spotted the tv it had been running a piece of the recent tenkaichi budokai and the rise of three young fighters getting nearly to the top there on that little monitor was the same girl that she had met in the alleyway and seemingly put her behind bars what was her name chi chi well once she got out of here and she would get out of there she'll be after her this time she won't hold back i don't care if you're a little kid nobody pulls a face one on me with that source of revenge squared away we now get to the question does chichi play a big enough role in the red ribbon sagas to warrant much coverage well not really in these the red ribbon blue and command red sagas she would be mostly playing support to goku as an extra pair of hands and fighting muscle to aid in his mission to stop the organization from taking over the world and using the dragon balls as a result i thought that it would be a little bit repetitive to cover everything here as it really doesn't deviate too far from the original material needless to say though her being there is a welcome addition to goku's party in that she's basically another krillin in terms of power and that is always handy to have in a battle but one possible noteworthy moment here is that thanks to chichi's aid being by goku's side most of the time since she was infatuated with him bora is not killed by tao thanks to her acting as protection for him but that doesn't mean that goku wins against tao but it does mean that less collateral damage is had with the added person power so you know she doesn't get the added training from korin at the moment but goku does use his newfound power to train with her one-on-one since their friendship is slowly becoming something more as they grow up he feels something about this one things tend to start to pick up a little bit in the fortune tellebaba saga since borah is alive and well goku doesn't need to desperately find the seventh dragon ball but he would still rather retrieve it than have the pilaf gang find it or something to cause more trouble for them later however since the dragon radar is busted roshi recommends that he go to his sister's place to train a little bit and use her magical powers to maybe find the ball with her crystal ball now when it comes to payment for this since chi-chi's dad has a lot of money chichi offers to pay for her services to which appeases the witch i like you little girl what's your name chichi ah yes oxygen i foresee great things from you of course she does she gave her money she is about to offer up the location of the ball when goku lets out a sad moan ah he'd come here on the pretense that he would get to fight strong guys or something like roshi said he would but since she got the promise of money she wasn't going to do that however baba was in good spirits after getting money and decided to offer up her fighters for goku anyway since he wanted them so badly she couldn't stand moani fighters anyway and to be fair baba had heard a lot about this boy wanting to see this for herself what the fuss was about we then get the fighters coming up as well as goku meeting grandpa gohan again hugging it out after years of being apart this warmed chichi's heart immensely this was his father figure he seemed so nice and modest despite his power in the ring this galvanizes her desire to marry goku one day he was a good boy with a good background and parent figure despite being maybe a little rough around the edges but that could be moulded in time she made the right choice in life to be by his side and to train she felt she understood him more now than ever as the two of them were watching baba lent into chichi so only they could hear one another how are you handling my brother's training chichi said that she was coping just fine she was all right baba nodded yes yes maybe you want to spice it up a little bit add a little more flair has he taught you that kamehameha thing well not really goku showed me the basics but i can't do it as well as he bubble poster a second maybe i could offer you something better before baba could explain she found the dragon ball on a crystal ball and sure enough the pilaf gang had gotten it they were slacking so the gang have to go after them putting bob's proposal on hold for the moment but not for long because they're easily able to retrieve the seventh ball and thwart the gang they then decide to use the dragon balls to bring back all those red ribbon army had killed recently in the aftermath of goku's push and once shenron had left and goku held onto the four star ball like in the original they returned to baba's palace where roshi was waiting they then heard about his next mission to rough it out in the wilderness by themselves and see where their skills would take them with that he left them to it to strike it out from baba's palace goku and krillin bolted to seek out adventure but chichi stayed behind she was keen to learn more and she felt sad that goku had not chosen to ignore roshi's edict of solo expeditions and chose to stick with her baba waved those concerns aside anyway i relax girly that training for meat heads what i can offer you is something more enlightening really i can tell you want to learn more about key and light shows and stuff like that well my expertise are born the um uh spiritual side she then whips magical swirls and sparks demonstrate this goes farther than what my brother can offer not only can you use your own key but you can use also external energy summon them forth to use as you please would you like to learn more chichi's eyes widened and she nodded yeah baba used her telepathic powers to appear as knowing good i can sense that you were stagnating that you were blending in with that group just another pair of hands with this what i'm about to show you you can be more than that a truly unique member of that squad besides i'm never going to say no to one upping my brother she gave a toothy grin and with that chichi's magical training began once goku and the others had gone on their way to train on their lonesome chichi found her next step in training to be much more difficult she was now basically on her own with no idea of how to use magic she was back to square one baba however was keen to not let her morale wane especially when the check for her services earlier had cleared thanks to ox king's coffers now that she knew the girl came good with the money she started her training by looking into chi-chi's very soul i will be blunt with you kiddo i am not going to be teaching you to fight and do cool light show tricks like my brother would that is not how i operate chichi looked a little put out at this revelation oh well then what can you offer bubba looked irritated i already told you tap into what you already have and then some really bring forth your inner beast and use it to overpower your enemies as well as cool upon divine energy from outside of your body think of it as like a helping hand from an unseen friend chichi looked amazed perhaps she might be able to develop her own adaptation of the turtle school style one based around magic and their martial arts also spending time in a castle in the desert was much better sounding than sticking it out in the middle of some forest just figuring out on your own she couldn't go back to ox king though him having been instructed by roshi to not accept her back if she were to go back home until her training was over the months that followed were arduous but in a different way baba spent most of her days trying to make chichi look into herself pull out some kind of magical spiritual animal that could act as her force it was tough going but things came to a head one day when chichi got so mad and frustrated at her lack of progress seemingly that a wild and angry bull covered in flames could be seen darting across the square outside of the main atrium baba spotted it running circles around a screaming girl chi-chi and was astounded at the sight and size of it she had no idea that so much anger and rage was nestled within that one then she recalled who she was related to she was the daughter of the ox king oh okay now that made sense she had not seen chichi angry before either but now she had this made things so much easier she thought one night when they were eating after a day's worth of training chichi asked baba why she had never trained properly any other of roshi students before her she cackled and took a drink before answering like i said before most of brothers students were devoid of personality meat had jocks or complete weirdos with no hope of functional conversation you're the first gal that crossed his path either and i saw something in you besides i couldn't bear the idea of you being left alone out in the sticks with no support not that you need it or anything but she trailed off before she could also mention that the money was appreciated too she should look down at a food i see would you ever do this again probably not consider this uh a one-time thing whilst you're nice to be around this doesn't change my overall notion that martial artists are simple creatures i want you to have a leg up over them now that i know that it's possible that scratch has been well and truly itched this is not for me in the long run she took a swig of a drink but that doesn't mean i'm going to half-ass it with you there's another one of those tournaments coming up and i predict with my crystal ball you'll do well in it if you'll stick to our regime chichi looked excited she knew that baba was a divination master so that had to account for something with this in mind chichi spent the days preparing her mind with baba learning to tap into her magical wells as well as a little bit of telekinesis to work with said magical energy at night she would then hone her martial arts skills and recall her kamehameha basics with goku every night she would get better and better to the point where at one day she fired off the perfect energy blast straight into barbara's wall and barbara immediately got onto the blow with ox king and asked for reparations but still though this level of improvement was something to ease the pain of damaged property and on top of that chichi was able to call upon her in a bull more often to strengthen her attacks her fists covered in flames and her eyes bulging out with concentration and inner rage her internal angst from later years as we see as her being an angry mother was now being manifested here into her abilities channeling them in a means that normal life from then on would be far less stressful she had an outlet which was put to good use she was able to use ki and magic together and whilst it didn't mean she became stronger than goku it certainly gave us something that goku couldn't counter sometimes that's all you need three years of this it had been three years of it three years of magical education and self-sustaining martial arts for the girl she had grown up and relaxed considerably she hadn't realized that she had so much inner rage and anger just waiting to be released as we know later in life she has spades of that it had been so heartening to find a way to use it instead of lashing out at others unnecessarily whilst her strength and power level hadn't leapt up like crazy that didn't matter too much she had gotten physically stronger from her nighttime training yes but the magical tutelage and fireball powers could really come in handy as well she also realized she needed some new clothes since her turtle school ghee was getting a little bit small for her battered and torn after all of the training with magic and barber's monsters for the final test which she had of course passed with ease because she had magic they didn't barber thought for a moment indeed i can't have you busting out of your garb how about this with her magic materialization technique baba transformed chi-chi's tight and worn ghee into a brand new set but a slight difference it still carried the turtle school emblem but this time instead of it being orange it was black with the red armbands belt boots and undertop this to reflect barbara's robeson hat and it also had a little bit of swish at the bottom sort of like her 23rd garb you know from lower down i can't wait to see brother's reaction chichi was amazed this truly felt like something unique whilst remaining true to roshi's wise training a nice mixture of the two arts that she was now adept in thank you baba i'll never forget your kindness good i shall never forget your deep pocket i mean um deeper maturity and gusto seems like you'll need it she pointed over to the other end of the courtyard there was goku after three years he had returned for her goku chichi said with delight and gave him a big hug well she hadn't realized how he had remained basically the same height as when he had left while she had gotten taller so he got a face full of chest but this being goku he was completely and totally clueless about it and just took the hug at face value good to see you chichi how long have you been here chichi then explained how she had spent her entire time of training here and goku was intrigued or be a little sad to see that she hadn't gone on her own exciting journey really you were okay just staying here with an old lady i learned a lot goku i can't wait to show you it pleases me that you came back from me she blushed and held goku's hand i appreciate it oh i came here and asked barbara if she had seen nimbus chichi before would have been angry but she wasn't so mad about that now thanks to her therapeutic training oh what for the 22nd tournament's coming up and i'm ready for it chichi then lit up this was her chance to show off what she could do in front of her future husband awesome count me in goku beamed yeah it's gonna be great with that goku requested baba to get back nimbus for him after roshi had previously confiscated it for the purposes of his training so he and chichi could head for papaya island together before they left baba gave chichi a hug and whispered now we're even go knock on dead kiddo and they set off on their way goku explained his adventures which included his meeting with tenchinon and xiaozu to which chi chi found thrilling she hadn't heard from anybody else in years having spent her time mostly with baba thusly not privy to communications from outside other than maybe the occasional field trip to the city yeah for barbara's own sake which he caught up with bulma and had the odd day out baba was also keen to have some respite i may be my brother's sister but i know how to paint the town red every now and then but these happen not all that often to make it special when the two made it to papaya island for the prelims they find krillin and yamcha who have trained also as well as jackie chun to which goku was really keen to beat this time around when there roshi in his chun disguise notices chichi's new getup was interesting it's not that familiar shade of orange and it still had his logo on it either way he was glad to see she had grown up no no no no resist roshi sure enough the prelims are a cakewalk for everybody and chichi takes manuel's spot in the roster and this means we get a chance for her to fight jackie chun fortune favoring roshi's curiosity so it would seem little did he know that baba was there having come in secret to watch chichi and what she had cooked up during their time together and also to see her brother failing perhaps and at first things seemed quite standard roshi had noted that chichi had improved during her time away but it wasn't leaps and bound stronger like goku seemingly but that was just to lull him into a false sense of security once she'd gotten a read of chun's movements she then unleashed the fireball within her punches and kicks laced with magical energy worked hand in hand with her physical power to really throw chun and roshi for a loop he couldn't understand any of this where this sudden boost of power came from it wasn't coming from her innate key that had remained relatively steady albeit a little bit fired up maybe now this though everything else that was interesting borderline suspicious where could she have learnt this from in a moment for a breather he looked at the audience and spotted a small pink-haired lady hovering on a crystal ball blowing a raspberry at him barbara of course now it all made sense well he had to do his best to stay in the ring but it wasn't easy her sorcery enhancements to her martial arts were too much for the old man to handle in the long run he had never seen such a blend of techniques in one place and in the end chichi resorted to a telekinesis to pull chun's legs off the ground before sending him flying out of the ring with quite aptly a mini kamehameha just enough to propel him out but not injuring him too much whoa chun was left floored this also made goku gaga for chichi incredible she could do that now he was even more excited to fight her later however we would get to tenshinhan fighting her first having bested chun in the previous round chichi felt amazing she felt she could deal with this crane school guy and from what goku had said he didn't seem all that menacing but she had only taken this from goku's point of view in reality tenshinham was fierce cunning absolutely terrifying an opponent he sort of reminded her of mercenary tau back in the day and despite her magical enhancements ten shinhan could counter these and when he then used his solar flare chichi didn't anticipate that he used it to do the classic knee dive on the back of chi-chi's head knocking her out the crowd were horrified to see such barbarism on a young girl but the crane student didn't care so much for that turtle school loser he thought goku and chun were aghast as well with the former extremely determined to fight this cruel sneak next when chichi came to she realized she had lost despite her power even though she had all this talent she had forgotten roshi's idea of not getting cocky that someone out there will be stronger than you she had done though and roshi was keen to point this out later once she had been debriefed in the meantime the rest of the tournament plays out like he does in the original with goku indeed getting to 10 shinhan in the final and sadly the latter winning the contest despite it being even closer this time out with goku all the more determined to win after what he had seen happen to chichi like in said tome tenshinhan's demeanor starts to soften a bit after he starts to see the gelling of the turtle school crew and how their egos were relatively modest well i mean except for chi-chi's of course but that would lessen in time he makes his peace with goku and they all have dinner together later this time out though they're all together including krillin since he too is keen to hear how chichi had gotten her new techniques so he doesn't die but things take a sudden twist though when goku has to leave to go to the loo the restaurant facilities are sadly out of order so he has to go to the ones back at the main tournament grounds there lying in wait is tambourine and before goku can react with the need to go to the loon not helping he is set upon back in the eating hall roshi can send something off and compels he and his students to check it out when they get to where he could last sends goku's energy they find him there dead chichi falls to the ground sobbing her heart out even ten shinhan is saddened by the sudden loss the person he had fought earlier had been taken out from what looked like a dishonorable means of felling roshi then spots something oolong had handed him the emblem of king piccolo something he never wished to see again after what happened all those years ago he knew this was serious and when he found out that a dragon ball goku had on him plus a list of the tournament competitors had been taken oh things were looking bleak in this timeline though chichi doesn't immediately head off in pursuit but she still lets her anger out a blaze of red-hot flame engulfed both her and goku her trying to use her magic to bring him back she knew that barbara could do this bring people back from the dead albeit fleetingly perhaps that carried over to her but to no avail this moment within the giant blaze chichi picks goku up and wails a deep and guttural whale the dragon balls were now more important than ever the scene was utterly bleak goku had fallen a dragon ball had been stolen and now there was a sign that one of roshi's deadliest enemies was out there somewhere or at least one of his agents was out there touting his teachings and visions he hoped it was just some wild fanatic and not the true article how could this happen if that were the case he was supposed to have been sealed on a rice cooker away ages ago either way they had to deal with it without further thought chichi grabbed krillin's hand and then goku's power pole calling out the nimbus who came for chichi we're gonna go stop that monster you with me krillin krillin was scared but he couldn't sit by whilst his best friend's killer was on the loose he nodded and took the dragon radar from bulma before the pair of them set off after tambourine meanwhile goku woke up after having suffered a splitting headache but what he hadn't realized was that he was dead when he stood up he could see a giant desk and some rather large legs he looked up and spotted a wrinkly green dude talking to the legs right by him he couldn't make out what was being said but just as soon as he had seen the exchange the old green one turned away and left but not before giving him a smile a rye one and then vanishing then a booming voice roared from on high so son goku kami tells me that you are rather special is that true goku tried to figure out what to say in response but the voice replied for him well it's very much against my better judgment but the guardian of earth vouching for you is something i have never seen before so i'll roll with it but on my terms wait what guardian of earth there was a guardian was it that one that coran had mentioned a while back kami that name but things were going so fast goku couldn't get a handle on anything and i bet you're thinking at this point does this mean that goku is going to get training with king kai right now no no no no no far too soon folks goku hasn't done enough for the good of earth to warrant that just yet also he is far too weak for it and it would take him years right now to traverse snake way so instead yammer comes up with something a little more suitable a little more grassroots a compromise you got three days boyo use them well alright bring them in from around the corner an old man walked through sporting recognizable gowns and hat it was grandpa gohan goku rushed over to him hugging him and was talking at a million miles a minute the old man tempered his adoptive son and explained the situation king yema has been so gracious to offer you a training regime suited to you come with me boy and i shall show you what's in store before goku could say thanks to the king he was back in his regular routine of deeming which souls were worthy for salvation it looked rather monotonous to goku back on earth chichi and krillin find tambourine having regrouped and processing his victorious killing of goku having been shocked by them finding him he quickly regained his cool composure and stated that oh these two kids were no match for him he had taken out the strongest fighter at the tournament and more of them would soon perish thanks to this list he had but despite this bravado he was now instead of fighting one tired person two people this time around and these two they were far more rested than goku was in the original him having barely finished the fight with ten shinhan and not had much to eat chichi and krillin had more energy and with extra rest comes extra beat down ability in this world tambourine is defeated on the first encounter there and then and chichi's magic fists and krillin's anger putting pay to the son of king piccolo thusly saving the rest of the tournament combatants from certain death since the list containing their names have now been evaporated thanks to the kamehameha that chichi had used to finish tambourine off having avenged their friend things looked a little more hopeful they retrieved the dragon ball and now figured out what to do next but first they needed to find food and this is where they meet yajirobe this time around yajirobe is less cantankerous since he is in the presence of a girl but he isn't particularly nice either he's just now suitably grouchy rather than downright rude but in the fight for the fish chichi demonstrates her enchanted attacks and this throws yajirobe for a six because she can just use telekinesis to float the fish away from him okay okay fine no share with you pugs vengeance and dinner that was a lucky day it helped too when symbol came a knocking to pick up from tambourine and then he got eaten by yajirobe who had been left wanting after having to share his fish dinner with two kids as a result and also whilst the rest of the dragon team gathered the other dragon balls king piccolo could sense two of his mutant sprogs had died and he couldn't sit idle anymore he chose then to step in despite his wish not being granted yet and even though he was old and wrinkly relatively weak he could still show his force if necessary he found chichi and krillin i was completely surprised as to how these two could kill his children impossible you are not as strong as son goku and yet you failed my children how yajirobe was the answer kinda but he had hidden at the first sign of trouble so much for his help then this then led to the king fighting the pair of them and despite chichi's magical powers it wasn't enough to best him but it did give him much more of a challenge than goku's physical attacks alone in the end piccolo was able to outlast a pair of them getting the jump on them he chose to leave them there on the brink of death nature would take its course and they can spend their last conscious moments ruining the day they got in his way him of course taking the dragon ball back that tambourine had stolen meanwhile in the other world goku and grandpa gohan came to where the training would take place but goku soon discovered that they weren't alone for this time together there was another man there white gee white hair and a moustache this goku is the master of my master mutaito the old man nodded and goku shook hands with him you have three days to train with us son goku said gohan each day you will spend with one of us learning our ways goku nodded but he was confused wait three days but there are only two of you gohan looked uneasy how should he tell him that roshi might be joining them soon after what was going down on earth just now but for now though he ignored the question distracting goku with talks of mutaito's great strength and might from bygone years he would be the first one to train with goku and with that mutaito and goku took to the other world beginning their first day of training instantly goku knew that any gains he would make here would be potent once he got back to earth he could feel it this otherworldly energy was something else and after it was clear that king piccolo was long gone yajirobe went over to check on the two kids to his relief they were breathing barely but in no condition to carry on the fight they had to get to korin's tower get some senzu beans if they could if they were to stand any chance of being any use against king piccolo yajirobe offered because of his cowardice earlier to go with them and help i gotta admit you were pretty cool just now i can't deny that besides it would be wise to be friends with tough folks if piccolo's plan were to come to fruition and just as well too because king piccolo's plan did come to fruition shenron is summoned his youth is restored and he uses his powers then to destroy the dragon in that same moment yajirobe uses his car he has in a capsule to drive chichi and krillin to korin's tower and then the three begin their slow climb up to whiskers the wonder cat sure enough roshi arrived in the other world after trying to fend off king piccolo to see had what been going on he had been instructed by yama to follow one of his demon assistants to a special garden to where goku was and there roshi was reunited with his own master and friend gohan granted he was sad that his efforts to seal piccolo away had failed but he soon realized what he could do here from what he could see muthuyato had been giving goku a rough time but the kid was taking it all in his stride after all thanks to the mysterious ways of the other world broshi would become clear to these later you could never tire or at least not in the mortal sense they could keep fighting for as long as they wanted fatigue was but a construct good to see you master said a calm gohan likewise my friend do you think this will work roshi said with caution once he returns to earth he will be a different man roshi then explained that most likely the dragon balls would be gone but in the here and now that wasn't important they had to make use of the time that yema had granted them when krillin and chichi gets to the top with yajirobe corin presents them with senzu beans thankfully to recover their strength but he then tells them that even though their powers are far more potent than ever these beans won't be enough to stop king piccolo down below they would have to go on a journey to find the ultra divine water if they were to stand any chance especially since goku was dead but corrine could sense that at least chichi was not scared of this despite then finding out that if you were not worthy this water would kill you horribly this did scare the other two but they couldn't back down now and so they went reluctantly off with chi-chi on their mission to sup this mystical fluid now during this mission krillin and chichi got to know each other rather well see the good and bad sides of one another in a time of conflict don't worry this wasn't enough to deviate chichi from her prize in goku but it certainly made her a new lifelong friend this wasn't fleeting and krillin he was glad to have her as an ally and friend too and yajirobe yeah they were grateful for his help but his constant complaining just made it hard for them to describe him as anything more than an acquaintance in the end they meet darkness herself and she yes the darkness in dragon ball as a woman invites all three to drink the water yajirobe is lucky to survive the acrid and suffocating effects of it but the other two survive after hours of extreme pain and anguish though but they live the darkness can observe some rather interesting phenomena with chichi in particular her magic traits flaring up rather often as if the water was stoking her inner aura child the darkness muttered as it otherwise sat there silently at the duo struggled to stay alive what is this power you possess chichi spluttered to the darkness that she had trained with the witch known as baba i see this test has not been done by those who wield both fist and fire i do hope you live and not succumb to demonic suffering this unsettled chi chia did but she couldn't give up hours later the effects subsided and the three of them were free to go the darkness having long since departed yajirobe had sat there watching the pair of them in excruciating pain he had only had one drop of the stuff and his effects were less lengthy he had to sit there though and watch and to him this was a wake-up call he should probably complain less he had it easy in comparison to these tweens he helped them out of the illusion and corrin could tell that the two of them had improved vastly you big guy you might want to sit this one out you did well to live but these two got way more on you yajirobe didn't need turning twice he wished the pair good luck and promptly sat down up on cory's tower to recover from his harrowing night of no sleep when the pair arrived back on earth they had come down to a beleaguered tenshinhan who'd been valiantly trying to defend from the much younger king piccolo but he could tell that these two were far stronger than even just a few days ago they had been through a lot especially after having had another bean for their troubles and lack of sleep king piccolo though was not in the least bit concerned he'd fought them before and whilst they had fought well they couldn't beat him now not after him gaining his youth again however upon the fight beginning he was found to be very wrong these two fully energized eyes on the prize and out the blood it was all too much chichi's magical attacks have been taken to another level because of the darkness's test and she believed in a thing called love as well just listening to the rhythm of a heart there's a chance they can make it now the desire to bring goku back to save the world to show this demon a thing or two it was both in their favor together with the double kamehameha they managed to bring piccolo down or at least greatly wound him he was still able to fight but with that buoying them up the beatdown was immense king piccolo here was terrified why did he not kill these two earlier when he had the chance he knew that he couldn't face these two and win now the girl especially those powers those demonic forces within her the force of a raging bull it was formidable when it came to it he flew up into the air to get some distance between him and them and produce an egg shooting it far away so that at least some part of him would live as he knew personally he would not chichi and krillin fired again vaporizing the king he was gone and the world was saved in the here and now chichi and krillin had succeeded in stopping the world from being destroyed and overthrown by the demon king however they still hadn't brought goku back from the dead the dragon balls now were gone they suddenly felt rather faint and tired so rather a standard 10 shinhan went in to tend to their fatigue that was remarkable i had no idea you had so much power inside of you two what happened krillin meekly looked up at the tri-clubs or later buddy but for now can you take us to corinth's tower we'll show you the way tenshinhan picked up krillin and an equally exhausted chichi and set off for the tower when they got there tenshinham was amazed by the sheer scale and height of this monument but the two of them had gained enough energy by then and stamina too to slowly climb up the tower on their own once more but very very slowly tenshinhan stayed behind them to make sure they didn't fall off and after a couple of hours of this they made it to the landmark to which they were greeted with a napping yajirobe and a very expectant corin who was busy watering some plants oh hey there fellas who's the three eyes there the cat pointed to tenshin on they explained and told them that king piccolo had been killed i suppose you want some sense of beans huh well we're down to our last three year haven't had this much demand in years he poked yajirobe awake to go and retrieve them after they regained their strength corin then explained that the only way to wish people back and to restore the world to what it was before the king had struck was to climb further up still to kami's lookout which rested above his own home you're gonna need goku's power pole to climb in as you can see presently there ain't nothing there but here and i don't think he can fly yet chichi then felt her back and there not having budged during their battle was goku's power pole she'd taken it earlier she pulled it round and showed it to corin who nodded yep that's the one he then points to the roof of the house and tells chichi to place the pole there on the top in the little divot and it'll do the rest sure enough when it was inserted the pole extended further than it had ever done and after a couple of minutes there was a loud clunk and the pole stood firm it had connected to whatever was up there now fully charged the three of them climbed up there with corinne's bell in hand the climb was even harder than the one to get to corin krillin was reminded of corinne's flying comment and wish that one day they'd be able to do that that would make things so much easier it took them an hour of constant climbing but they then found a ladder which stretched around the top of the bowl-shaped structure well i mean a ladder is easier at least just just don't look down the trio stepped onto the tiles and were met by a genie mr popo he challenges all three of them to fight him at once to which they obviously comply clearly this must be some tests set by kami whoever he is but it was far harder than even their fight with king piccolo the genie was barely moving using just one finger to dispel their attacks not even chichi's magic laced moves could break through this but popo did note this the rather unorthodox tactic as something of interest so great they'd obviously failed the test so much for coming up here then but then an old voice rang through the air asking the three of them to approach him this was kami greetings i see that you have made it here safely please excuse my attendance rather forceful test he had to make sure you were worthy of my time be that as it may i had been hoping you would come here you see i met your friend son goku in the afterlife the three was stunned he had met goku in the afterlife there was an afterlife how is this possible kami then explained that being dead wasn't the end of your journey it led to something more perhaps and goku's efforts before for the earth were enough to stave off his soul and body diverging he was busy now training with great masters of earth's past he would now actually be on his third and final day and after that who knew while kami knew i assume that you are here to convince me to resurrect the dragon correct the trio nodded i thought so i have every intention of doing that your friend intrigued me as do you i will bring shinron back to life but on one condition the three awaited his judgment that one of you stay here on the lookout to train with myself and goku krillin and tenshinhan looked uneasy train here that's quite a big ask however chichi was more than happy to take this plum she had spent years mostly isolated from society with barbara anyway so this this would be a piece of cake and besides this time around also she'd be even better off she'd be with goku i'll do it you grace chichi bowed are you sure chichi this could be a real long time up here said krillin with nerves i understand but you two will be needed down on earth in case something else comes to try and end life as we know it i'll be fine i got goku tension are it of course besides i wish to take some time away from everything try to understand what it means to be my own master since chiaotzu and i are no longer obviously welcome in the house of shen that's okay you can always come crash with us at kamihaus said krillin tenshinhan appreciated the gesture but still wish for some solitude chichi stayed behind as the other two left after being fed and watered by kami and popo she then watched the ritual of shenron's reset and gave out the wish to revive all those felled by king piccolo and his children kami then entered the shadows of the central chamber of the lookout and minutes later returned with roshi and of course goku chichi ran over to him and embraced the fighter she could tell he had gotten stronger despite only having been gone for a few days whatever he'd been getting up to in the afterlife he'd had done wonders for his power roshi thanked kami for his assistance and felt that training and time with his friend and own master was very much needed kind of puts things in perspective you know wouldn't do it again but it was nice kami then offered russia a lift back to his house on popo's magic carpet whereas goku would stay here to train with chichi kami had deemed both he and chichi worthy of his time that and he was keen to see the latter's imbued fighting techniques some more after seeing it briefly in action with mr popo earlier try not to get up to any monkey business kiddos i know that time alone at your ease leads to fun times just be careful and goku wear protection and roshi and popo were gone what did he mean by that i'm already wearing my weighted clothing said goku cluelessly chichi giggled at this telling goku that it was nothing to worry about kami was also rather puzzled three years three years was the time they spent on kami's lookout nevertheless kami felt great unease one day when he felt the egg of king piccolo hatching down below sure enough piccolo jr had been born and was able to mask itself within the limitless amount of flora and fauna for the most part kami knew he was out there but he was hard to pinpoint just momentary blips and over those years he would only get sporadic flare-ups when the demon son would strike or go about his business then one day chichi asked specifically what troubled kami so much about this son of king piccolo as you know he and i are linked like how his father and i were he had that bond passed down to him he is still young so his aura is rather underdeveloped but i can tell he's out there but something is different something about it is less bitter and twisted chichi tried to interpret this well maybe junior isn't so bad not as evil as his father it can't be easy to be all alone down there he must be scared kami ignored this human sentimentality she really couldn't understand the true extent of their connection so he pitied her you would better get on with your studies young one goku needs as much help as he can on that front it was true goku wasn't one for books also during this time goku and chichi's relationship truly blossomed as roshi said time spent together as teens does lead to something sparking not just battle power granted they didn't get up to that kind of stuff since chichi believed in that after marriage but they definitely were steady goku thought chichi was cool powerful and nice to be around whereas chichi liked goku for his simple nature kind heart and carefree demeanor it was relaxing not grating like she found in the original by spending this time together chichi understood goku far more than she ever could in the original series where she was basically trying for years to panel beat her husband into something that he could never truly become and emulate here that process is far more natural and mutual this leads to a much more cohesive relatable and knowing connection to which both parties are fully behind it led to chichi being the one to propose to goku something that she had spent years trying to pluck up the courage to do so but only now with no one around to look being able to do so in the solitude and privacy of the lookout goku said yes i like being around you chichi if marriage means spending more time together then i'm all for it cheety smiled and hugged him this time on the lookout was the best time she'd ever had carmi watching this from a distance he was pleased he actually quite frankly felt truly honored and blessed to experience love up close he had previously only felt it thousands of feet above a bystander here this felt raw and intense the thing that kept humanity's cogs turning what inspired life and made life formed bonds made him proud to be their guardian during that training chichi was able to tap into meditation to help enhance her spiritual powers and telekinesis whilst goku could manage his focus and harness the true gains he had made in the afterlife kami was able to use his vast knowledge and experience of 300 years also to cater his training to what these two required and this led to major bursts in power and expertise instead of being around the high 200s and low 300s by now both goku and chichi were in the 500s all thanks to them sparring more often together as well as kami wishing to understand what made them tick these two were more interesting specimen than they would have been come the original story that and they managed to spend a little longer in the room of spirit and time since they could do it together not a full year obviously it's still too much but six months now instead of three when they had reached the age of 18 kami felt that they were ready they had paid their dues for bringing back the dragon balls and just in time too for the upcoming 23rd tenkaichi budokai i wish you luck my friends their time and training and they then made their way back down to earth as expected the rest of the dragon team had arrived at papaya island keen to test their own strength but they then bump into nine stature roshi could sense that their training with kami had been remarkable they had doubled in power since last seeing them when having been brought back to life tenshinhan and chatsu were there too having been swayed away from shen completely thanks to the latter they made sure that none of them would bump into each other until the finals to make things fair you know chatsu yeah fudging the balls and stuff however there were multiple folks gunning for these people of course piccolo junior was there and chichi and krillin could sense him clear as day thanks to their connection with his father they weren't planning to kill him here but they were definitely keen to keep their eyes on him to see what he would get up to then there was another launch had escaped from prison during the time skip she was spying on chichi from a distance she had anticipated that fighting dane would come back to fight here again to reclaim some glory and she had been right oh yeah you're gonna regret putting me behind bar's door she made sure her gun was loaded at all times and when the time was right she would get a revenge before the preliminaries had begun ox king had been instructed by roshi to attend guessing that his daughter would make an appearance it had been a really long time since he had seen his little girl and now she wasn't so little anymore yes he knew that she had been looked after well in all of these years and that she had been safe and healthy but darn it it had been so long since he had had a proper hug from her when they met it was a very wholesome embrace ox couldn't believe how much stronger she had gotten and she looked so full of life and happy she wasn't a princess in the traditional sense she looked ready for action you know if only your mother could see you now she'd be proud of you you look almost exactly like her chichi blushed and formally introduced her fiance to his father he was overjoyed to see that childhood impulse manifest itself into something real that it had stayed the course and he was already starting to plan the wedding for them once this tournament was over clearly these two have been busy training and he didn't want to get in the way i'll be in the stands with your buddies you could do it sweetie and goku don't go too hard on her okay chichi was very bashful hearing this despite now being one of the strongest on earth she was still her daddy's little girl your dad's nice said goku completely oblivious to her shyness again thanks to chiaotsu fudging the numbers the gang would not bump into one another too early and end the fun for one of them early on so we then get to the quarterfinals and wouldn't you know it hiro has shown up that's kami in disguise by the way for the uninitiated he had wanted to come down and see piccolo junior's behavior for himself and so far it hadn't been anything to worry about too much he hadn't done anything bad in fact he hadn't done anything nearly as horrible as his father had done since he was born those years ago perhaps chichi was right maybe the sun was not as malicious as the king was but kami just couldn't let himself think that it was his duty as the guardian of earth to ensure that not a trace of king piccolo was left to endanger its inhabitants we still get tension on decking power in the schnoz as before as well as goku and chichi meeting in the quarter-finals i mean come on chaos who can only do so much chichi wasn't all that bothered about winning this tournament but she was very keen to see this in a competitive setting what he could do goku regardless of its location the same could be said for the monkey man he wanted to see chichi and what she could do the fight began and immediately their power gap to the rest became apparent nobody could keep a sustained eye on them not even piccolo they kept darting out of sight reappearing for just a couple of seconds and then vanishing again it just kept on going like this and you know the green man who had been watching looked concerned before resuming his grimace carmi observed this and felt a little better if he had felt genuine surprise at their power goku and chichi then there's no way he could be stronger than them but then again that could lead to desperation tactics so they best be careful in the ring right now goku and chichi were putting all of their cards on the table for everyone to see despite their power being relatively equal it was chi chi that had the upper hand thanks to her magical attributes goku no matter how much he tried to study them couldn't get the hang of it no matter how much chi-chia tried to teach him just even the basics of magical manipulation it just wasn't something he could do well and so he didn't see much point in trying to understand it anymore he'd rather focus on what he was good at his martial arts and core strength but right now that tactic wasn't helping chichi's magical summoning of power had only grown thanks to kami's tutelage he had trust in her that she was a pure heart and wished to do good with this blessing of mystical energy she stood firm and let rip a giant bull of flame the first time ox had seen this unfold no way she had managed to harness her inner beast he had the power to do so as well but he could never in a million years manifest something like that a 20-foot high red flaming box one day she might end up being even stronger than him yes i still stand by the whole ox king power level 900 thing i love it then the sky was truly without the limit if she could do that the bull locked with goku's hands began to push him toward the edge of the ring the fire despite not burning his hands was definitely making things a little bit under the collar for goku but he managed to muster up just enough strength to stop the bull in its tracks but seconds later the bull just vanished dissipated and out from all of that smoke sprang chichi who leapt through it and kicked goku out of the ring all thanks to the power of diversion chichi was through to the semi-finals goku couldn't believe it he had been bested but no matter it had been a cool fight and this only wanted him to try even harder next time chichi let down and hugged her fiance and promised to bring home the win but things would only get a little more hairy krillin and piccolo jr were up next and this is where the demon sun resentment rose to the fore in front of him was one of the fighters that had killed his father despite his heart not being nearly as evil as he piccolo jr was still facing down the one who had ended the king and he wouldn't hold back krillin was going into this battle without much information to go on he knew that this would be an awkward reunion but he didn't realize that this kid would be probably even stronger than his dad i mean to be fair come on to krillin this guy's like three years old soon enough though the raw vitriol behind piccolo's moves was so intense that it left the little guy badly injured and forced to tap out kami's mind was set chichi would have been wrong he had to stop junior from getting to her even though she was technically stronger who knows what sort of tricks the demon would pull to one up his pupil and destroy everybody chichi and ten shinhan then meet with the latter folding after a very spirited struggle between bull strike and kikoho and hero's efforts of course against piccolo jr were left wanting and this meant that chichi and piccolo jr would meet in the final chichi knew that things would be serious she had seen this happen with krillin he clearly had a grudge to bear this one and he wouldn't go easy on her nor would she expect it goku felt this too and once krillin had recovered thanks to a senzu bean from yajirobe he warned chichi to be careful this guy ain't playing she he's got an extra grind don't let your guard down i won't but still he's not his father maybe there's a way to get through to him despite her wanting to pound piccolo senseless for what he had done to krillin chichi just couldn't quite bring herself to eviscerate him even though kami had deemed him a lost cause unfit for purpose chichi felt something else that is down to her natural maternal instincts now hear me out you see you can still be a kick-ass fighter and a major sorts but that doesn't mean you have to be a cold and prudish soul right ten shin han no chi chi is still chi-chi and she still has a natural nurturing side to her which is then fostered by a feeling of security and comfort with her about to settle down with goku for the future chichi gained a sense of perspective and could tell that piccolo jr all that he needed was just a little bit of guidance he was alone and had been alone for all of his life it was time for him to no longer fly solo piccolo had people that he could be friends with in the ring piccolo who had been quite taciturn up until this point was far more vocal when facing chi-chi so you're the one who killed my father chichi was adamant that she only did it to save the world doesn't stop you from doing it i'm here to avenge its memory you'll regret getting in my way chichi began to fight piccolo and realized that she had to resort to a little tough love as it were she completely dominated the initial fracker piccolo had no answer to it the magical energy behind chichi's power was too strong and ethereal to counter with a flaming punch to the floor piccolo was left winded as chichi loomed over him i can tell you're not like your father why do you persist in following his edict blindly you know that deep in your heart that you seek solace for yourself enough why do you probably on cammy and i have watched you for years not once did you act upon your father's words when you could yes you were mean-spirited and a real grouch but you never killed anyone that's not the mark of a demon reincarnate let me help you let us help you piccolo rejected this offer and began to get serious resorting to his giant form this caught chichi off guard and she got stuck in his grip goku wanted to step in and help but he found out that if he interfered he'd end up disqualifying chi-chi and he didn't want that this was something to be sorted between the pair of them in that moment of weakness gigi began to regain her composure she needed to be more direct just like with his father she began to focus her energy and summon forth the largest amount of blazing magic she could muster in her current state you know suffocating she began to glow red hot her eyes burning with supernal force piccolo could feel his hands beginning to get a little toasty and really getting toasty before becoming too hot to handle and he had to let go before him floated chichi being held in the air with the huge amount of supernatural mana that she had called upon in that moment she looked terrifying what are you cheating and cool off a little piccolo you don't have to rage against everything you can live your life as you see fit not by the constraints of your past you are free i beg you issue your father's words the fact he was giant was not helping because remember he can't sustain it for very long without feeling extreme pain so he had to refer back to his regular size chichi landed on the ground and looked to the green man he didn't say anything but he could tell she was right he did not have it in him after all to be like his father he had failed piccolo join us oh but before piccolo could respond chichi collapsed blood cascading down her arm what happened had piccolo hit her no it was a bullet wound a shot had rang through the arena from launch's gun nobody had seen it before she had scurried off that'll show you nobody messes with me and gets away with it well about that in mere seconds piccolo's stared launched down he had stepped out of the ring not caring about the fight he said nothing he just stared at launch looming over her all seven foot a big green muscle hey you better scramble i'll shoot go ahead try me she did but the bullets did nothing pathetic attacking her when her guard was down and she was open to a turk he grabbed the gun and squeezed it tight it ain't going to be working and launch was terrified out of her mind not only had this guy deflected her projectiles but he had now bent her gun like it was made out of paper at once she ran for it bumping people out of the way piccolo let her go she wouldn't be coming back anytime soon back in the ring things were looking up chichi hadn't been mortally wounded but it certainly rendered her arm unusable for combat but she was still conscious and therefore since piccolo had vacated the ring she had won by default goku ran over to her and checked to see if she were okay i'd rather have been honey to which goku quickly obliged after the festivities were over and chichi had recovered she went to go look for piccolo she found him at the outside gate of the arena about ready to leave piccolo why did you forfeit piccolo turned around and gave her a very very faint smirk you may talk dribble but i couldn't let some sneak in the way of a fight chichi had no idea who shot her she couldn't see it happen we did though this isn't over i'll be back stronger than ever you won't win the next time we meet chichi didn't seem worried about this she had been proven right if piccolo were truly like his father he wouldn't have gone after the shooter like that he'd just let chichi bleed out good i knew you had it in you piccolo grunted before flying off she'll get through to him soon enough after the tournament was over there was a wedding to prepare ox had pulled out all the stops for this and the ceremony was absolutely stunning goku and chichi were wed and they had their lives ahead of them launch had tried again to rain on her parade at the wedding but piccolo acted like some sort of bodyguard without the knowing watching over chichi from afar keen to not let her pull away any further see what made her tick and also acting as protection in a way there was something about her that he had to figure out if he were to beat her again and at least claw back some of his lost dignity either way the time would come right so we've got a little bit of time before z let's cover that a little sure enough goku and chichi moved to mount palazu like she had set herself upon a few parts ago a lovely home around where grandpa gohan's old place was but much more suited to modern life it was a lovely place and chichi loved the piece of quiet of nature for the most part their lives here were much less hectic than before but they still like to spar every now and again you never know when something might come from somewhere else around the planet to try and spoil the fun also chichi and goku were aware that even though piccolo hadn't become the menace that his father had been that he wanted him to be it wouldn't mean that that was just cause for them to slack off however when chichi fell pregnant they did have to tone it down a little bit months later when chichi was heavily pregnant piccolo came by whilst goku was out fishing for the evening meal he hadn't come to fight piccolo and chichi could sense it she wasn't scared instead he came to talk he had sensed new life inside of chichi she was about to become a mother he had no real sense of family and so sought some kind of idea about what it was like tell me are you ready to raise a child no said chichi clutching her stomach i don't think anyone ever is all i know is that i am ready to find out all as well with goku and i i see said piccolo with a degree of intrigue i don't understand why i exist all i can feel is that i was born from hate anger fear that i don't sense within you and your son what son we're having a boy piccolo then looked like this was the most obvious question in the world yeah isn't it obvious like in sunset no humans can't do that oh well we were having a boy then teaching the top she was gonna have a little man around the house i still wish to settle things with you one day but for now i can wait i only hope that your child is a happier time of it than i do with that he got up and flew away without so much as a buy or leave chichi was left confused with his little interaction but glad to hear that the trials of the past were beginning to erode from piccolo's psyche he actually had some level of self-control not long after that gohan was born and all was good with the son family things were more relaxed with chichi's more laid-back outlook on life than other things granted she still wanted her kid gohan to have a good education but she was nowhere near as strict about it goku knew the score as well and together they spent a good amount of time across a wide range of activities playing learning exploring nature and just generally being a family unit and yes of course goku did want to train more with chichi once she had recovered from childbirth and gotten her strength back and actually ox king tried to facilitate this by offering to babysit more so he could spend more time with his grandson oh come on chichi me being around you more how could i say no years later gohan had grown up into a smart but super intelligent kid still he's happy and he actively likes to read in his own time when not doing some light exercise with his dad we then get the events of the dead zone what you're exploring a movie mastercard in this timeline well yeah sophie havrock and i felt like it could be a really little nice interlude to further enhance piccolo's place for the song family he is like um a curious feral cat when being offered love and food by a family timbered cautious at first but slowly starting to warm to them but it's gradual you've got to be careful he's trying to understand what family ties are truly about when it comes to the events of garlic junior things play out the same only that chichi wasn't present as she had been out gathering firewood from a nearby clutch of trees ox was the one to be overpowered and by the time she could sense gohan's energy had disappeared oh the kid was long gone when she and goku regrouped they went off to find him granted their power levels hadn't improved as much as they had done in the run-up to the 23rd tournament i mean obviously it was a bit of peace time but they managed to get some gains around about 650 700 or so about a 20 game in five years i think that's fair despite chichi being there too with extra firepower garlic being immortal is still too much for them and it takes the eruption of gohan and a slightly different sort of rage boost to come into play oh wait how is it different well this is a little more concentrated and thanks to the increase in power level from his parents when he was born gohan's boost is stronger and now laced with innate magic yes he didn't know how to use it of course because he's four and nor could he summon more but this twist and energy was enough to throw garlic jr for a loop and thusly contained him back in the dead zone again and throughout all of this piccolo had been much more on board with helping them since he had found the son family to be something that he had now wanted but couldn't have he didn't want to actively protect them anymore and be best buddies with them but he certainly felt something toward them and would help out when the need arose like this times of desperation garlic junior coming in and ruining the fun what would be left for him when all was said and done well he had to help afterward goku noted that piccolo had gotten stronger too and he was curious to fight him sometime is that all your husband thinks about he asked chichi she nods mostly but he does have his good moments she loved piccolo didn't get it so now we get to z and when our boy lands raditz finds earth to be rather pedestrian and when he does find piccolo and his power level is about 470 or so he is very much interested and invested to find out more about this planet yes you are weak when compared to my might but i must know how could a backwater world like this possess a namekian of this power no mc what it doesn't matter you will tell me why you're so relatively strong and so he did with a quick spa before raditz's scouter detected two even higher powers 680 and 710 that immediately deviated him from the namekian and he sped off to kami house where chichi and goku were visiting with gohan in tow coming to the island for the first time this time with goku and chichi more laid back and sociable the crew knew of gohan's existence already and often came by to visit while they were in the area of mount palzu but this was gohan's first time coming to kamehaus and he found the experience very entertaining that is until uncle raditz shows up the exchange between goku and raditz plays out like before the form of finding out about his saiyan roots and this shocks them all even chi-chi a little bit however she then recalls him turning into a great ape and having a tail back in the day he had gotten rid of said tail whilst at kami's when they trained there it pulled him off for some reason but this one had a tail as well so goku was an alien it didn't matter to her she still loved him but this brute was not going to drag him away from here she would have something to say about that raditz whilst noting their power levels didn't seem all that concerned he still whacked them about and wound up taking gohan from them anyway and before the group could figure out a plan to get gohan back piccolo makes himself known an office to help goku says that they don't need his help because they're stronger than the original but the namekian thinks otherwise goku the dragon balls can't bring you back if you get killed by that guy you need all the help you can get krillin gets up after wrecking kami house and agrees with piccolo despite him being weaker than said slug he wants to help and protect goku with that the four of them go after raditz the saiyan loki gohan in his saiyan pod knocking him out after his constant screaming when it comes to the fight it becomes painfully obvious to rabbits that despite their lower individual power levels these people worked as a unit that when they fight together this could cause them some problems they might be able to hurt him considerably the saiyan tries his best to divide and conquer but piccolo is keen to get his own back after their previous encounter chichi can sense gohan in the pod trying to get to it when she can but raditz would always attack goku which makes her abort and go back and help her husband because remember goku dies they can't bring him back so that's a bit of a handicap no matter how much he's trying to help he is a bit of a hindrance here after this cycle repeats a few times raditz is starting to get actually tired if this keeps going he might make a mistake perhaps falling to these losers he can't have that clearly kakarot wasn't going to play ball with him so he decides to put on some bravado not badger thinks but i must say kakarot i am very disappointed in you i hoped for better and as for you he turns to chichi and then promptly fires a sudden beam through our heart before fleeing in the ensuing chaos yep radiss just bailed taking go on with him oh he's a coward remember i know how much we like him here on this channel but in reality if we don't change him whatsoever and he's up against something which is really up against him he's going to turn tail and run and before goku has any chance to try and stop his brother the pod shoots upwards and out of sight their son was gone and chichi was dying raditz had played on goku's wife known that he would defend her if she were hurt and made bank on that in his escape plan he didn't care whether she died or not he got away chichi could feel her life force slipping away she almost wished in fact that launcher just simply shot her then experiencing this pain however things were less scary for her thanks to goku's past experience she knew there was an afterlife it wasn't over yet but she was still terrified of the death death goku please get our son back goku crying buckets vowed to do so piccolo 2 offered to help his connection with chichi like what was saw in the 23rd tournament made it so that he would not let any underhanded miscreants get in the way and with that chichi dies and her body promptly vanishes suddenly chichi woke without pain she found herself in a japanese style room with a huge mahogany desk in front of her to her right was kami hello chichi unfortunate that this time we meet is under such sad circumstances kami where am i the other world you are dead she looked up and spotted the halo above her head she was mortified i was panicking about what will happen with gohan will goku and piccolo be able to go after raditz they didn't have a spaceship all in good time my friend i have a plan i just hope yammer is willing to listen kami goes about pitching to yammer the idea that chichi go down snake way to train with king kai at first yama was reluctant i don't know kami i helped you out before with that goku kid are you sure that this one here is better suited to the task certain king yama things have changed since then chichi here is much stronger and more than capable of making it to the other side chichi was then briefed into the mission she had to traverse a million-mile stretch of road before then finding a way to a planet which rested atop the tip of said road it was the biggest challenge she could do she took the mission seriously and began her march at first she could use her magical force to leap from bend to bend cutting out some miles but after the first tens of thousands of miles that became too tiring the rest of the route had to be on foot great out in space raditz had to make a tough decision does he go straight back to vegeta and napa with the sprog and report would they even understand his intent probably not then he had another idea he found a planet nearby to rest up on where he knew saiyans were welcome and they wouldn't get in the way gohan woke up and immediately began to cry for his parents not knowing where he was raditz told him that they were in no way able to help him now so he may as well listen to his uncle raditz right now gohan was too weak and frantic to call upon his inner beast he still didn't even know how to do it raditz chose that it might be best not to mention the fact that he'd as good as killed his mother it would make things awkward at best and they'd only just met listen kid you're out in space and you will not survive here without my teaching he chose to stow his scouter away while he was saying this he didn't want his saying colleagues to swoop in and undermine him just yet you are half saiyan half me there are many races out there who would kill to even have a fraction of our potential you can achieve great power just like your parents huh gohan sniffed i won't deny your father and mother were more than i had bargained for not too shabby but still nothing compared to i your uncle raditz it's time that i taught you more about the ways of being a saiyan and so raditz began to fill gohan's impressionable little head with saiyan ideology whilst goku and piccolo back on earth were busy at capsule corp trying to find any means to get out into space and chase after rabbits the first few days out in space were the hardest gohan wouldn't listen mostly to him and would wince at any moment that raditz would coldly kill people that got in their way raditz tried everything to tap into gohan's saiyan nature but the kid wouldn't budge then the boy realized something if he was going to get out of this alive he had to not try and run away or attack this guy who unfortunately was related to him if he hadn't been it might have made running away easier surely surely someone out there would know where earth was or even what earth was in the face of this figurative brick wall raditz realized that he had to go big he had to go all out to try and tap into gohan's potential his parents were quite strong for such a basic planet so they took a trip to alia as fast as his pod could make it those bugs there were quite strong but raditz could take them on especially after his little battle with the earthlings and that little zenkai boost that had given him a little bit of a leg up so now he sat at 2000 instead of 1400. raditz also had a little surprise for gohan the one thing that had gotten his interest was his story about vegeta the one thing that had managed to calm the boy down and get his interest were stories about prince vegeta and his supreme battle skills gohan's a little boy play fighting and action stories always go down well at last raditz thought something that wasn't crying when they get to alia who was there to greet them a little surprise from uncle raddatz vegeta a nappa at first the prince wasn't all that impressed with raditz coming back with a little kid but vegeta this little kakarot has the potential to be something quite remarkable his parents were relatively potent and the mother also was very versed in the dark arts who knows what she taught this one really said vegeta looking down at the kid go on then show me gohan who had been very caught up with the stories and legends of prince vegeta tried to search for his inner power trying to impress him and as if by magic it came to him his body had heard the call and a flaming bull rose from him nappa tapped his scouter who oh two thousand hey raditz he's just as strong as you are and he's barely out of diapers isn't that funny nappa please there's time for jokes later well turns out you're right raditz this one is impressive gohan powered down it took a lot out of him but he was so happy that vegeta was impressed this hero he had another challenge vegeta if this one was half saiyan like raditz had told them then this next task would confirm his usefulness meanwhile chichi had managed to cross snake way after months of running jumping and brief moments of using her magic to fly across particularly windy bits in this time she was starting to wonder why she was doing all of this granted it was quite the honor to be the first person in 500 years to be crossing snake way and meeting king kai but in our heart of hearts she was starting to grow weary of being on the front line she she'd been thinking about retiring actually stepping back a little bit she had wanted a family for so long and now she had one with baby gohan she'd been sort of pondering in the back of her mind about asking goku whether she could step back from martial arts training constantly and instead settle more into a life of peace calm family life unfortunately she couldn't do that right now the fact that she was dead and gohan had been taken by that creep of a brother of goku's meant she had to keep going i know that sounds very familiar to ginay but hear me out for as long as it would take until gohan was back with her she'd carry on only then could she contemplate scaling anything back all this time alone on this long and winding road gave her clarity plenty of time to think to herself she reached the tip of the tail of the way and looked up there was a small planet thousands of feet in the sky chichi then began to ponder that orb how is she going to get up there and without nimbus to help her it wasn't going to be straightforward she dug deep into a well of magical energy summoning up as much as she could to her surprise there was more than she had thought since she didn't actually understand entirely that the other world's energy supplies were far more plentiful you didn't tire as much here as she noted previously using this trait to her advantage she pooled enough blazing power to leap into the sky like a rocket it worked she shot up really quickly but then halfway there she felt something dragging her forward not of her own volition she had been caught by the orb's gravity promptly slamming into the ground at full force she didn't die from the impact obviously since she was already dead but it hurt king kai saw this go down and found it rather funny yes i didn't look like a happy landing chichi got up and dusted herself off like nothing had happened she introduced herself and king kai gave her the challenge to try and make him laugh um well maybe an impression might work she knew she would get grief from a former teacher for doing this but this had to be done surely if baba could communicate with the afterlife she'd know about king kai and vice versa chichi then ruffled her hair up scrunched her face up to mimic barbers and spouted off words and rhetoric that the witch would probably say king kai indeed knew barbara too well she was a right grouch and to see this kid pull off such a perfect roast of baba was excellent he let out a loud before thanking chichi for that immensely you have no idea of an old windbag she is how do you know her kid i trained with her ah didn't beg her as a teacher oh well you passed my test on with the training how long you here for anyway chi chi counted on our hands and figured that she had about less than a year to train before the dragon balls on earth couldn't bring her back so not much right we better get moving on earth bulmer had set about tasking roshi and oolong to find the dragon balls to bring chichi back and yet she was also dealing with the task of coming up with the plan to somehow get into space however luck came in the favor of mr popo who then showed them all carmy's old spaceship from centuries ago earlier here than in the original story when bulmer took it in and retrofitted it with tech this meant our heroes could head out and look for raditz and gohan it took them a few weeks since gohan's kidnapping but it wasn't too difficult in the end the ones to go to space were goku krillin and piccolo the same ones who had fought raditz ten shinhan thought about going with them to help but thought it might be best to stay here in case raditz pulled a fast one on the mall and came back to earth somebody had to hold the fort and so the trio set off with piccolo taking on board the instructions left by bulma in how to pilot the ship and for some strange reason this wasn't difficult for piccolo it sort of felt natural i wonder why in space the three of them formed an alliance clearly raditz saw something in gohan and if menaces from space were to come back to earth in the future which they probably would it would be best to train the kid up piccolo offered to help as a mark of respect to chichi the only one of them to try and reach out back in the day when he was at his most belligerent as that expedition began vegeta's challenge had become clear alright then kid if you want to prove how sane you truly are find the first being here and kill them what what kill them that's what we saiyans are best at showing our dominance establishing our pride and power napa then interjected yeah your uncle did it when he killed your mom what raditz looked furiously at napa he wasn't supposed to tell him that gohan rounded on rabbits and began to fume you killed my mom i go on the point was that gohan roared and his raging bull exploded forth and began to pound on raditz into the dirt napa and vegeta though didn't try and help they found this utterly hilarious and chose to double down on the raditate because it got something out of the kid and as their dog's body was being wrecked the two of them thought they could use this kid perhaps maybe as a weapon he was really strong and was now bodying rabbits who knows what he could do when he was all grown up maybe they could take a shot of frieza with this one and so when gohan calmed down and raditz was left battered and bruised vegeta proposed a plan aping gohan's soft nature raditz how could you be so cold to tear away this one from his mother in such fashion that is beneath us you are a disgrace gohan looked at vegeta and since he was in a suggestible state right now he found the prince who appeared to be quite noble in comparison to his uncle if he could he would smuggle himself inside for jesus pod there and then get away from raditz but he rounded on his uncle she'll be back my friends will find the dragon balls and wish my mom back then she'll make you pay dragon balls they can wish people back you say can they do more vegeta commented and you know who was listening raditz your new mission is to train this little kakarot here into something more suited to work do not interrupt us until he is ready to fight napa over here and not die you have your orders with that vegeta and napa set off gohan in that moment towed the line he liked vegeta or what he was presenting he seemed far more decent than raditz of course we know that's a big lie so he would comply if it meant he could train with vegeta one more time if he wasn't going to be going home any time soon but thanks to that flare-up of power the likes of goku piccolo and krillin out of space could sense gohan that's chi-chi's thing alright we're coming for you son it was a few more days to get there but they hadn't moved alia was soon upon them they had been training and raditz wasn't doing so good he had already taken a beating from gohan in training him being very keen to stamp his authority despite being only four or five years old and to top it all off the boy's friends then arrived to rub salt into the space wound and despite being already somewhat injured from the training raditz was keen to beat down his little brother regardless of what he was feeling the saying in him getting the better of his judgment this time around gohan ran over to piccolo hugging him to which the namekian wasn't accustomed to but the green man instead of shirking it told them to head for the ship and wait there it was clear that in this fight that raddus wasn't going to win he was tired against three fully arrested fighters and they had gotten stronger to boot he was on the back foot there was no moon on earlier to rely upon either so before raditz felt the grasp of death begin to loom over his head he called time wait wait all right you can take the kid just let me go piccolo wasn't moved why would we do that what's in it for us raditz smirked because if you don't i'll call my friends they're at least 10 times stronger than myself and they will not hesitate in going after your home and scorching it to the ground this got their attention goku wasn't bothered in killing raditz anyway he was the coward and they had gohan back with them anyway they'd gotten what they wanted and so goku showed mercy fine you can go but i don't want to see you again fine by me kakarot you're a shadow of a saiyan not worth my time and with that the parties went their separate ways when raditz got back to frieza planet 79 for urgent medical attention that was much needed he had been stewing over this exchange by now the earthlings would probably be home thinking that everything would be fine chi-chi would probably be resurrected for those dargam bows or whatever well ralph's had a plan as one last big screw you to his little brother he chose to tell vegeta and napper about earth anyway that's what you get for messing with raditz by the time our heroes return home with gohan the likes of bulma roshi and oolong are ready with the dragon balls to summon chichi back however when they bring forth the dragon to make the wish chichi tells them that she's not ready to come back at least via shenron upon further elaboration from king kai's telepathic antennae chichi explains that the reason why she doesn't want to come back yet is that she's not done with king kai's training at this moment she is glad to hear though that gohan is safe back on earth and promises him that mama will be home soon to give him a big hug and to show off some new tricks gohan likes tricks because tricks are for kids with king kai being quite susceptible to telepathic stimuli whilst on a call he then feels something bad heading their way i hate to interrupt the loving but you might want to know that two really sketchy powers are heading your way and the looks of it they look like saiyan pods goku is a ghost it can't be that scumbag of a brother tricked us gohan then looks up oh that must be vegeta and nappa they rounded him wait he knew them he met them normally king kai wouldn't care about this kind of stuff but he was curious to know exactly how gohan lived to tell the tale gohan then explained how cool vegeta was to him and how powerful he was that being a saiyan didn't seem so bad once he realized that raditz wasn't the only example going of those monkeys but king kai had to be the one to burst his bubble kid you are way wrong on that front before then giving them all the saiyan lecture that we got in the filler of dbz before promptly going for a very long nap and then resuming training with chichi once he'd actually gotten his strength back they had about one year before they arrived and about nine months left before shenron's revival clause would expire because remember back in the day with the earth dragon you can only be dead for up to a year before you can be brought back after that no you can't do that at least with the earth dragon balls and we haven't been to nemic yet but one last thing chichi mentioned to everyone was that bulma should look into making a place where gravity can be manipulated this place's gravity is intense yet i feel that it's helped my training a lot perhaps you can make use of it too bulma was on it she liked a challenge especially after having recently conquered space travel i mean once you've done that there's not really much else left to do they then requested shenron to hold off on the wish and he promptly vanished being put on pause the dragon balls remaining in place and then locked away for safe keeping you know the pilaf gang might come back the training in their respective camps picked up considerably the alliance proposal piccolo had formed earlier when out in space was brought to bear with kami's additional support of all people and all the dragon team were actively improving their strength ready for the incoming betrayal from raditz that they weren't supposed to know about but they now totally do chichi spent her time mastering the art of kaioken and the spirit bomb this being quite easy for her to do thanks to her innate talents in the aspect of divine energy and pulling or summoning external sources of power granted it didn't make her better at it than goku you are kinda tied to what life energy is around you but it meant she mastered it faster than goku did and kaioken times 2 was the peak of her skills at that time and this then meant she was done the day came the day before her ability to be brought back to life would expire and her life was indeed granted and she could then set off for home after her training chichi felt amazing she felt the gravity difference and as light as a feather thusly flying at great speed toward king yema's station a few hours later she was already there at the check-in station and yema wasn't expecting to see her right now but kami was he was there to meet her and take her back to earth to meet the others when she got there both goku and gohan were thrilled to meet her then with three months to spare before napa and vegeta arrived chichi found out that in the nine months from king kai's warning gohan had been able to harness his inner bull like she had done but the effects of raditz's indoctrination meant that gohan was a little bit of a loose animal a bit of a wild one when he got into that zone it made him very much bloodthirsty hard to calm down some of the say in nature starting to show itself either through his own dna and chemical chants or through outside influence from those pesky monkeys and upon finding this out chichi was determined to beat vegeta into shape for all the lies that he had spoon-fed her son and part of that was to teach goku the art of kaio-ken as best as she could as well as krillin and piccolo yes chichi unlike goku in the original knows how to share goku takes to this naturally and piccolo through sheer regenerative persistence does as well as for krillin it's a little tricky he doesn't have magical powers to help dampen the strain that this imposes on the body but he can use it barely especially given the limited amount of time they have left before the saiyans are going to arrive however they are ready and everyone is present and accounted for when the two saiyans arrive raditz conspicuously absent everybody is ready and thanks to their much larger powers vegeta doesn't feel the need to use napa's volcano explosion to catch their interest that's suspicious radisson tell us they were that powerful wait you think raditz led us into a trap no he's not that smart he probably forgot or didn't think to check properly no matter they shouldn't stop us from having a little fun and with that they headed off with the powers they held on the scouters sure enough the gang's all here and they are ready napa checks the scouter again for some more detailed power readings thanks to the gravity chamber idea from chichi whilst on king kai's planet everyone had a power level of at least 3 000 something of which was hard to confirm from hundreds of miles away this surprised vegeta especially kakarot and his woman's power five thousand apiece gohan was there too and his power as well was 3 500. he smiled hey kid these friends yours huh gohan looked torn he still looked up to vegeta but he was told that it was wrong to believe in him and whatever he said he remained silent as the battle began choosing not to take a side there was no need to use cyberman nepa thought after all despite their self-destruct powers they would have probably been torn apart before they could even get a chance to use them get anywhere close to using that technique so napa had to go in on his own vegeta choosing to sit this one out nappa picked out krillin to fight first sensing his power was the weakest of the group and the little guy didn't want to fight him but he had an ace in the hole he hoped it wouldn't fail him now with that they fought and krillin initially played the weakling having to dodge desperately to give napa the sense of false security then krillin muttered kyle ken times two and his power buffed up to six thousand out of nowhere but he knew he had to act quickly before he would be out of commission he used that time to dart around the big lug giving him some really quick strikes which hurt badly he was getting into it actually but piccolo said something was wrong he wasn't gonna make it out of there without some help before kaioken gave out and then he'd be a sitting duck pun definitely intended piccolo got into his position firing up a special bean cannon whilst nappa and vegeta were distracted with the little mallards darting around it struck napa in the heart and brought him down killing him instantly nappa's body collapsed at the ground and krillin immediately had to power down before he collapsed too exhausted hey i could have taken him piccolo look at you a few seconds more and you'd be the one on the floor krillin hated to admit that piccolo was right but at least kaioken worked he needed to work more on it though with nafta gone vegeta was now down a man and he was genuinely saddened to see his attendant sniped like that having not had the sight of him being made a fool of like in the original you think you're rid of him i'll use the dragon ball somewhere and bring him back that's not possible said goku our ones don't work right now oh i don't need yours i did some digging after your brat told me about them the namekian homeworld they will have some no doubt there was that name again piccolo was definitely getting irritated having heard it he was going to get some answers about this when all of this was over i mean after all they'd already destroyed one of the monkeys it was imperative now that they stopped vegeta before he could use wherever dragon balls were in this cosmos he wasn't that fussed about fighting goku and his woman though but he didn't really have much say in the matter as both of them launched forward and attacked at first their combined power wasn't enough to overwhelm the prince but when kaioken came into play them both using times 2 for the moment vegeta was now at a disadvantage with no moon to call upon or given the chance to call upon it chichi then took goku aside and planned to use her other tricks she had that she learned whilst at king kai's whilst goku and piccolo together take on vegeta then both having kaioken they are on it under the pretense of chichi fleeing with her baby boy thanks to vegeta's nature he thought it merely it was oh the woman getting the child away from the fight and paid no mind to it but piccolo turned out to be just as tenacious as her and thanks to his regeneration he could push kaioken much further with less worry of going too far chichi set herself down a distance away out of vegeta's eye line and began to charge the spirit bomb telling gohan to get somewhere safe gohan kept trying to convince her that vegeta wasn't that evil since he was going to save his friend from death with the dragon balls right surely there was some good in him if he wanted to do that right but chichi wouldn't hear this and told him to get out of the way and then to safety gohan didn't like this him clearly inheriting some of radditz's defiant nature with a short time spent with his uncle the boy stomped off to find cover as chichi charts the bomb goku and piccolo were able to give vegeta a really hard time whittling him down with the burst of kaioken here and there the prince then got to the point where he had to use the gallic gun in the sky and this was against the joint kamehameha and special beam cannon both at times three this dual attack was enough to stop vegeta and leave him considerably injured and when he got to ground level chichi had then charged the bomb much faster thanks to her previous learnings she left from behind a cliff and hold the bomb at vegeta's back honour be damned granted piccolo and goku were still there but she knew that they were of good nature at least she hoped for piccolo's sake and the blast shouldn't hurt them the bomb connected and whilst it didn't vaporize the prince it left him hundreds of feet into the air battered and bruised and in no condition to fight especially when he plopped back onto the ground and yeah he called for his pod goku thought about killing him but chichi told him not to i'd much rather let gohan see him for what he is a weakling not worth his adoration actually oh where is gohan yep gohan had just walked off earlier it soon then became clear where exactly he was before they could do anything about it vegeta had clambered his way into his pod and promptly fell unconscious gohan was in the pot too what he must have found it whilst off on a sulk and was still in it when it had been summoned well um gg he hadn't been convinced and the hatch closed the pod shooting off back into the sky gohan was gone again this time he chose to go and chichi fell to the floor sobbing if only she had kept an eye on him goku feeling terrible if he had not let raditz get away the first time none of this could have happened piccolo meanwhile was focused it's settled we need to head for that namekian planet before he gets there huh piccolo what are you talking about said chichi still sobbing from the situation he's going to use the dragon balls to wish his friend back to life and i don't think they're going to be pleased to see us they'll try again and probably blow up earth before we can respond he's injured so that should give us time what about gohan we need to get him back piccolo then continued not known for his tact i hate to say it chichi but your boy has other ideas for now russ we need to go to that world and get the dragon balls first if what vegeta said was true well it was possible they had a ship ready to go but if more people were going to be coming with them it needed to be bigger bulma back on frieza planet 79 weeks later vegeta landed with a sleeping gohan beside him thanks to the stasis inside the pod both of them have been suspended and when the prince came too he saw the sprague and was stunned wha what what's he doing here vegeta tried to think what to do next then it hit him this one he remembered idolized him for some reason yes his original plan was still possible the kids could still be used to his own ends forget bringing nappa back he'll use this kid whilst on nemic to then perhaps gain something greater immortality but despite all of this you couldn't sway gohan fully from his naive and brainwashed idolization of vegeta all from raditz trying to get him to shut up and stop crying this resulted in him willingly escaping earth with the prince and now the dragon team having to go to nemec not to wish anyone back but to stop vegeta from using them to his own ends and getting gohan back themselves again now that we've mentioned gohan we must head to space and what vegeta is going to do with the kid he himself needs to be healed up in the medical bay but this place was where raditz was last heard from he instructed the boy to go hang out with raditz until he was fully recovered and then after that they were going to go on a little vacation to a place called namek the place where the dragon balls were first created supposedly and that intrigued gohan so he would put up with spending some more time with uncle raditz despite gohan having far less attachment to him sure enough raditz had been benched from the front line with no vegeta and nappa to accompany him frieza's orders apparently so when he saw the prince in the med bay and then gohan back here he quickly discovered that nappa had been killed by the green man good that big brute made fun of him so much his own stupidity and cockiness got the better of him whilst he the great rabbits had lived hey any timeline where raditz gets to live is a plus for us right so whilst gohan's brain is being pumped with saiyan rhetoric again bulma has finished mocking up a spaceship capable of housing multiple occupants and a beefed-up gravity chamber like the one in the original only with more living space this time out goku and chichi would lead the charge and this time krillin chose to stay behind with piccolo 10 shinhan and yamcha going with that last battle made me realize that i've been slacking i'm gonna stay here and hold the fort i'll be training though but i feel like right now i won't be much help chichi was sad to see her friend bailing but she knew he was right at least he was being realistic he was lucky to have gotten out of there without piccolo's help and if he felt more useful defending earth then he should be allowed to do so it made logical sense with one last wave the group flew off into the stars and off the nemic the coordinates sourced from kami's old ship which had been now retired for a second time krillin was sad to not be going but he had his own plan he was going to learn kaioken better use the gravity chamber at capture corp to be ready for any potential space badnik who would dare show up hey if raditz tried to give it another whack then that's for breaking kamehaus you filthy monkey when vegeta had recovered and he and gohan slipped away dynamic with raditz providing cover our heroes were also busy training chichi had a small head start in terms of gravity training but goku say in nature and general tenacity as well as piccolo's toughness and recovery abilities started to mean they caught up and soon were very close to surpassing her granted she had magical advantages but her physical strength could only go so far but that didn't mean she was going to stop or slow down at the moment despite gohan going off on his own volition she had to be certain that he would come back and stay on earth not pull that stunt again maybe they could use the dragon balls to make gohan forget about vegeta i mean it's an idea and as a result of this rapid training and multiple fighters on board the results were far greater whilst the wear and tear to this craft was more so it got to the point that when they approached nemec it was very touch and go where the ship could actually make it back to earth in one piece so they had to take it easy in the last day or so despite this though their powers were mighty but they still discovered when they landed they were all too late not only were vegetarian gohan already unnamed they could sense the kid but there was another even more terrifying power the frieza force had arrived before either of them and were already gathering the dragon balls yeah turns out vegeta was right this place did have dragon balls with all the crew present they could sense that the powers here weren't all that great well except for that giant freaking one who must be that freezer guy that king kai had mentioned in this little pep talk they had when they were about to land in fact they could sort of sense the empress power from space they hadn't even landed yet that's how big it was by masking their power levels they quickly found a base in a cave before using bulma's dragon radar she had given them maybe if these balls should they actually exist were like their ones they might be on the same frequency and it could work sure enough it did albeit with a little tweaking three had been collected so it stood to reason that they set about going to find the ones that hadn't been goku and chichi went to trace gohan's energy since vegeta wouldn't be that far behind him whereas ten shinhan and yamcha went in the direction of what would become guru's tower goku and chichi find gohan and vegeta in a village and there had been a bloodbath vegeta was talking to gohan him clutching a dragon ball in the crook of his arm whilst gohan was heavily breathing chichi was shocked had that monster taught her own baby boy to kill that was it without further thought chichi surged forward and got into a massive fight with vegeta thanks to her gains with gravity training with goku and the others this battle was rather one-sided vegeta was left without the chance to counter yeah her power was pretty much on the north end of 70 000 with goku being at a hundred thousand but they only kept that power up for a brief spell so as to not attract too much attention from that freezy pop guy fortunately this battle did have another positive effect gohan saw the whole thing go down his mother kicking vegeta's butt in such a cool manner she was wiping the floor with someone he had supposedly admired and when vegeta was on the floor coughing and spluttering gohan walked over to him and kicked the most down i thought you were cool now you're nothing but a weakling you can find your own dragon balls and they simply left him there at the mercy of zarbon and doria when they later went to check out the scene when they had gotten away gohan explained that he couldn't bring himself to kill anyone it was too much pressure despite vegeta trying to sugarcoat it chichi was relieved to hear that but they were still disappointed in gohan running away like that but to make up for it and to ensure it wouldn't happen again chichi promised to train with him more help make use of his latent power that did cheer him up but funny you should mention latent power the trio then go to check on the yamcha and ten shilhan them having picked up vegeta's dragon ball from just now they found them at guru's tower with nail ready to defend should they be troublesome despite their power being greater when it was clear that they were part of the good guys they were summoned inside and introduced a guru whom it bestowed great gifts on their friends yamcha told them guru could unlock your hidden potential and that they should really give it a try if they wanted to perhaps go after the big bad power they all felt as well as maybe to help with the namekians from being caught in the crossfire so they all accepted it including goku yes he doesn't like handouts usually but he didn't want to fall behind chi-chi as otherwise it would take ages to catch up again so all of them get a buff which means chi-chi's power is now in the six-figure category guru noting that our arcane well was larger than she thought but despite this compliment that didn't sway her from a desire to retire in the not-too-distant future goku was sad to hear this but this wasn't the time to be upset they had a job to do goku's power was now up to the 300 000 range and with kaioken this sudden gain just made it clear to everyone there that goku's saying characteristics were not to be sniffed at but sadly this didn't go unnoticed frieza's scouter exploded when he felt a power spike past 250 000 that meant there was no time to call the gay news frieza had to step in himself zarbon and doria begged their boss to reconsider to which their master angrily responded this power if the scout was accurate would mean they'd be wiped out before they finished their moronic dance no this requires a more personal touch with that the duo were left to wonder what would happen well i'll tell you what happens frieza and goku fight with chichi acting as support despite everyone getting a buff these two alone were strong enough to take on frieza in any meaningful way with piccolo acting as a guardian to gohan the namekian cursed that its potential gain was relatively small and this is where nail proposed the idea of fusion that could mean they could help too he was listening thusly taking piccolo's attention of gohan for just a moment as you could tell when goku used kaio-ken times 3 it decimated frieza in his first form the lizard king wasn't so fussed though as he could show off his second form to which he did this was a little tougher goku didn't want to go all out just yet as this could lead to something rather dire happening but then something else occurred gohan caught frieza's interest he recognized that one from when vegeta reported back on planet 79 he had registered an earth kid clearly this was important to these goons so he fired true a death beam which struck gohan in the chest killing in stone dead piccolo was a ghost that he had been distracted goku well was really mad as was chi chi as piccolo demanded nell to fuse with him right now to make up for this momentary lapse in judgment goku's inner saiyan power exploded while chichi's inner beast erupted in the strongest instant she had ever shown or anyone had seen the loss of their child whilst rectifiable was still painful to see no child should have to feel death like that goku went super saiyan for the first time while chichi buffed up her muscles bulging white hot horns forming at her temples and her face mad with maternal anger both of them were gunning for frieza and since frieza couldn't sense energy he didn't realize the enormity of his mistake oh please i could still transform you but his sentence was cut short when chi chi force pushed a telekinetic punch which not only winded frieza but held him in place in the air so he couldn't move what was that it felt like a space train had hit him across the face many times over all of this left goku free to repeatedly deck frieza and the schnoz and since frieza couldn't move to activate his third form he was unable to do anything in the end and now fused piccolo joined in as well as to make up for his error and made things even worse for frieza and in the end goku launched an angry kamehameha full power at the emperor promptly vaporizing him frieza was no more it had only dawned on them all what goku had just done he had transformed into a golden warrior but he couldn't process any of this since he had fainted due to the sheer pressure and strain it had caused him chichi also fell to the ground barely awake but she had been floored with how strong that buff from guru had made her what was in that piccolo walked over to them apologizing for his selfish behavior and allowing gohan to be killed like that but then was reminded by the sight of the dragon balls they could fix it right now and fix it they did when the dragon balls were gathered and peronga was summoned they wished for gohan to be brought back to life the damage caused by frieza and his men to be repaired and then well chichi asked gohan would you like us to remove vegeta from your memory sweetie mom no thank you i feel like it's part of me now but i know that he isn't the bee's knees i'd rather remember how not to behave chichi smiled and went with it so what's going to be the third wish well that was to fix their ship so they could make it home safely and of course do a little bit of training guru said to them that the dragon balls on nemic are usable again in four earth months so they could be used to bring back any other namekians that had passed but goku wouldn't have it he said that once they got back to earth they will use their set to do it much faster guru was pleased for this gesture of kindness they'd make good friends when they got home goku followed up on his promise and wished back the remaining namekian casualties all was good as for zabon de doria and vegeta well they had king cold to answer to and he wasn't in the mood for pleasantries let's just say that vegeta told the king to head for earth and he wished to accompany him to get his own back at that earth woman who pummeled him king cold was okay with this since vegeta knew the way to earth it mattered not cold had other plans as they were planning their revenge against frieza chichi kept her promise to train gohan in how to use his inner mana to mix with his saiyan ability and martial arts something of which to pass on to the next generation when she could finally rest and look after her family everyone had been buoyed by this victory and kept training after receiving this buff which made krillin extra jealous despite his own gains yeah maybe he should have gone with them after all however the time came when cold landed on earth and the gang had to be ready this time goku with them unlike the original but even he wasn't needed despite cold ready to talk with goku another entity made himself known a young man wearing a purple jacket but not sporting lavender hair or blue eyes faced off against the king who was this guy the young man stared cold down with great menace but the king paid no mind to this random assailant he wasn't that bothered about this one after all colt's power far exceeded frieza's when he was in the mood for it oh wait what's that golden power he was wielding oh that was unexpected after all frieza wasn't around to tell him about the super saiyan power since he was reduced to powder on the namekian world and then there was the sword instead of frieza being turned into meat pie filling cold got that particular treatment and guess who was there to witness it zabon and dodoria they were lucky to be alive after cold blamed them personally for letting his son die but he had shown the mercy because they were so weak and providing some valuable intel about the earthlings but now that their benefactor was gone and the dragon team had now vastly outclassed them they immediately gave the order to the rest of the men to retreat and that mother ship flew away faster than was possible but the man didn't care he let them go clearly he had other things on his mind as did another occupant who had been in zarbon under doria's care and had used this time to escape since there was so much calamity going on vegeta had made a break for it and rushed off into the desert keen to get some distance between himself and chi-chi for the moment when he sheathed this sword he looked over to the dragon team group and his face was a mixed bag unlike trunks who genuinely looked happy to see them he wanted to tell them something but he didn't look particularly overjoyed to be there like he was forced to do what he did he walked over to goku and chichi and introduced himself as goten when he had pulled the two of them away in this timeline future goten is less cautious when it comes to how time travel worked him being more cavalier than trunks was in his timeline he told goku and chichi that he was their kid from the future the second one and that in three years time there would be androids that come to destroy their way of life from the remains of the red ribbon army both of them were horrified to hear that commander red had one last surprise in store for them but this wasn't red's mission it was his chief scientists dr gero who was the brains behind this particular operation goten then explained that goku succumbed to an interstellar heart virus but in this time since he was out in space for less time since he didn't go to yard rad the viral load the saiyan had was far less than the original story all this meant that it struck later on a few years later than it did in the history of trunks timeline it meant that goten had been born and had been a little kid gohan a teenager when goku succumbed to the virus's effects there was an antidote now for it which chichi took for safekeeping keen not to lose the husband here it meant that the devastation 17 and 18 had inflicted upon the world had been lessened but it was catching up now since he had passed and as for future chi-chi all this approved too much for her not only had goku died from an outside influence but her entire family had been torn apart all the reasons that future goten was not yet willing to reveal at this time needless to say it was too much she had lost her ability to use her magic when goten went silent and not hearing from her boys ever either of them had caused her to sort of go insane it's a long story whatever the case it's important that you all train to ensure that doesn't happen here it's good to see you mom dad he then looked to gohan in the distance and scowled not saying his name with a final briefing future goten then departed and the group saw the time machine before goku and chichi explained the situation to the group careful not to tell them who exactly that person was even though piccolo heard but he kept it shtum out of respect so the training began but not long after that vegeta made himself known to bulmer at capsule corp he had come to train in the gravity chamber but bulma basically told him to get lost vegeta told her he had nowhere else to go and the only way he could try to regain any sort of pride in dignity was to claw back the deficit and power he had with the dragon team besides frieza's empire is still out there zarbon and dedoria survived and they will stop at nothing to find a new way of coming back here blowing up the planet without you even having a chance to defend yourself if you want to know how to get rid of them for good you would better trust me and work with me baldwin then told him about the upcoming android threat stating that everyone was training and didn't have time for any of his nonsense which actually made vegeta sort of comply a little more surprisingly since he would be then even further behind and when bulma told chichi that vegeta had come crawling back to earth chichi said that yeah he could train in the gravity chamber since she actually felt kinda sorry for him gohan had long since eschewed the prince from his mind and hey if he was willing to fight alongside the earth team for this bit then an extra pair of hands couldn't hurt so as the prince gets settled in bulma starts to see another side to him and they eventually hit it off like the original as for gohan and the sun family plus piccolo they trained together rekindling the arrangement that they had whilst training for napa and vegeta's arrival earlier on only with chichi now here as well to act as support in person gohan couldn't help but feel that something was off that something was present that his parents weren't telling him he couldn't figure out what it was but it was something and despite him not wanting to emulate vegeta or raditz anymore the entire effect of them was something that couldn't be expunged from his mind since especially he had willingly accepted to not erase them from his mind and influence it meant that he was quite a bit less merciful a little more willing to fight and go all out much less the pacifist that he was in the original story to which chichi did find a cause for concern but after all that had befallen him lately this was something she could willingly take at least it was here on earth the time came for the group to meet on a member island and to their surprise vegeta and bulma were in a relationship and had a kid trunks's revelation was far more impactful than gohans was what a twist vegeta had caught up tremendously as well he had gone off into space to train further and grab the super saiyan power that he had heard about and also taking care of zombieland todoria and he then would come back for help and as for the antidote chichi made sure that goku took it the day before they arrived here and one more time before they left the house since she was far more on the ball about it ensuring that her husband would definitely not forget thanks to this goku didn't succumb to the virus's effects and remained on the battlefield and so he was able to ultimately destroy android 19 and dr gero well almost he bailed like before but the group was hotter on his tail and future goten arrived to find 19's head and then have to frantically chase after the group he could sense the story then progresses like before and despite goku being there 17 and 18 are just as strong but one thing that counted against them was that chichi's magic was able to work against them how well jiro is a stubborn one he is a man of science and because of this very steadfast and reluctant nature and way of life he deemed magic to be completely not worth this time and since he didn't know much about it it was not something that should distract him from his true mission to better the world through technology and science not fantastical illusions and parlor games chichi doing quite a good job against the androids was getting a little confused if she was this good against these two then how come her future self went mad well that would come to the foreign future goten arrived on the scene to witness the battle and was surprised to see 17 and 18 struggling granted he was pleased to see the group working together as well as to his mother pounding them and showing off her skills but it also felt bittersweet to him if only his mother from the future had not had to experience what had happened then things might have been different gohan greeted the future man to which goten completely ignored him huh what's going on i said hello oh yeah hey it was all that future goten could muster gohan was now confused before he could get any more out of this one the androids then pulled a fast one causing a distraction grabbing the pod of android 16 before promptly escaping and since they don't give off key they were gone gone goten rounded on gohan blaming him irrationally for not letting him get in and fight instead of just asking him inane questions the two of them were arguing intensely to which this caught chi-chi's attention demanding to know what the hell was going on this was when goten had to fess up he realized especially after his past mother lambasted both of them that he was partially to blame for the androids escaping actually he explained to the group that why he's so called to gohan was mostly down to how his future brother had acted since future goku died he had gotten serious cold brooding almost acting like vegeta present gohan fidgeted it seemed like his younger impulses hadn't been quite purged from his psyche after all it took a global apocalypse to bring them back into prominence as a result it caused friction between himself and chichi who couldn't stand the fact that her kids were at loggerheads all the time with each other and it all came to a head especially after one day at an amusement park where 17 and 18 had begun their usual destruction he and trunks in the future goten those two were best friends they trained together under gohan but he wasn't a kind or understanding master like he was in the future trunks timeline originally he was hard here cruel very strict treating them like dirt them not behaving like proud saiyan warriors because of this as well as a lack of empathy and desire to protect it led to trunks being killed by the androids goten could never forgive his brother for that and that led to them never speaking to one another again and thusly waichichi went crazy out of despair president chichi gasped future goten went super saiyan that day at the site of his best friend's death and his brother had been responsible but he then chose to train by himself and on the day his future brother died himself to the androids he didn't care goten spent his time then taking care of his now beleaguered mother and trying his best to save what was left of earth all this hit present gohan hard he was still capable of that i'm sorry girl ten that a version of me could be so cold losing your best friend must have been hard goten's expression softened him beginning to understand that this version of gohan wasn't an exact copy of his own brother chichi stood between them once this is all done you two are going to talk like brothers and figure this out i know you can't fix what you had with your future sibling but perhaps with my gohan you can find at least some solace and rebuild stronger do you think you can do that future goten nodded promising to work together with present gohan and try to not let his own personal demons get in the way after that things start to flow a little more like the original with vegeta then arriving after the droids have fled supremely disappointed to have trained so hard having gotten super saiyan to then find out the dragon team had only gone and lost them he was complaining all the time but don't worry jeets your chance to screw things up will come goku and chichi realized that whilst they could handle the droids in a quick battle that over time they would be whittled down since those joys didn't seem to tire they then hit upon the idea of the thing that once got the better of them back in the day when they trained with kami the room of spirit and time in just a day you can get a year's worth of training did you go ten volunteer to go in once they got to the lookout with gohan them using this time to truly patch things up and ensure that any inner demons didn't rear their ugly heads again when it counted goku and chichi thought this was a good idea but then vegeta had one of his own kakarot i wish to train with your woman huh chichi turned to the prince and looked sickened why would i train with you for a whole year vegeta smirked come now i've gotten over our little squabble i've moved on don't tell me you're stuck in the past i thought you more mature than that don't listen to him chichi said a serious goku he's just trying to play you get a rise chichi looked focused and a clenched fist softened you know what why not i don't mind the idea of beating you senseless for 12 months do you mind goku goku looked concerned but he thought that she knew what she was doing well if you think it'll work alright she walked up to the prince if you think you're going to get the better of me you'll be solely mistaken i'm going to make you suffer every single day good smurf vegeta that's what i had in mind what he was going to enjoy this now despite goku and the others objecting to this chichi is more than happy to stick it to the prince multiple times but might this be a bad move chi we shall see we shall touch upon gohan and goten's time in the room together first since they got effectively first dibs sure enough this turned out indeed to be a valuable time for both of them in there the brothers from other dimensions managed to figure things out the elder of the two seeing that this version of his brother had time to realize the errors in idolizing vegeta and saying so damn much yes gohan had begun to do that but then the android menaces kind of put that to the wayside sue there's way of thinking he had no choice but to fall back on those impulses just to stay alive now though gohan had seen first hand what that led to he didn't like the idea of not only his future little brother hating him but also his family be torn asunder that was far too much to bear for the nine-year-old the pair of them grew close and goten was able to start to mend his troubled mind a little bit feel far less resentment for what had happened what was the point of repeating everything that had happened in the past for no seemingly adequate reason all it did was foster further negative emotions to other people who didn't deserve it when that dawned on him the pair of them found incredible gains with goten finding apart the super saiyan grade 3 whilst gohan unlocked the first two grades this is also where gohan demonstrated his further skills were the magical affinity that he had inherited from their mother sure goten was strong but because of his more empathic and softer nature it meant that his inner beast was not nearly as potent he decided to rely instead on martial arts something far more consistent and reliable at least in that future i mean come on look what happened to chi-chi in that timeline and on top of that he was simply too nice and despite him feeling so sorrowful and resentful toward his future brother his beast was still not stirred enough it was there but he was nowhere near as good as his brother was and that reflected in the past as well super saiyan and the inner flaming bull was a powerful mixture when you got it right when they emerged gohan was taller calmer and far more reassured whereas goten had bulked up and also looked relaxed whatever they had gone through in there was positive for both of them this made chichi here very happy and more motivated to head on in there with vegeta and gain her own sense of clarity and peace from within however she wasn't going to get that not at all after a few days within it had become clear that their time together was not going to end up the same as goten and gohan's with them becoming friends or anything close to that instead it turned out that vegeta had only brought her in there to use her as part of his own plan to catch up to kakarot and her you see he knew that chichi hated his guts for what he did to pollute her brat's fragile child mind back on nemec and before she would not hesitate in pummeling into the dirt this one it was a mother's natural instinct to protect their offspring any sign of threat no matter how persistent would need to be purged and staved off from their children vegeta didn't care about any of this he knew she wouldn't kill him she was too nice they needed him also to fend off the androids and any other menace this was all part of his plan to get one over her to use her anger and rage against her and for his own gain and knowing she wouldn't do a damn thing about it it dawned on chichi about a few months in they had not found solace sought an understanding or even begun to tolerate one another in all that time and yet it had gotten harder and harder to beat vegeta up in that time she had gotten stronger sure but he was improving faster than her that must obviously be that saiyan power that he goku and her children share the passive skill to greatly increase their battle strength upon major injury and subsequent recovery the gap between them was narrowing and if this kept going he would surpass her considerably she walked out of the central chamber and out into the nothingness utterly broken she had been tricked vegeta only brought her in here for his own ends to get back at her to toy with her emotions she should have listened to goku the moment that he had suspicion about this he knew what vegeta would do well it didn't matter now she was totally flummoxed and felt like she had been well and truly compromised vegeta found her sulking and approached her but she didn't attack i see then you have figured it out yeah i did you're nothing but a low life sneak out for himself that you'd tugged his glove you should never have gotten on my bad side all that did was make you cocky feel invincible i am a patient one when the needs arise you saw it for yourself didn't you back when nappa fought your friends i could wait bide my time i've spent my entire life doing that under frieza's boot waiting for the moment to pounce and claim domination when you laid into me on nemic that was the latest moment i knew that one day i would end up being stronger than you all and that time is almost here so what are you going to do kill me where i stand you wouldn't dare you need me to fend off those tin cans it wouldn't look good to your kids if you stooped even lower than you already have he walked past her and lifted her head up so that their eyes met what i am not telling you is to give up you may as well keep on training after all you are getting some gains from this too do you detest the idea that i will surpass you he let go then fight with everything you've got to make sure that doesn't happen then you will get that victory and salvation that you and your friends are craving chichi accepted this and despite feeling utterly ashamed of herself for having agreed to this farce she understood that vegeta's pep talk had a point she understood that he was right they had to train they had to get stronger and so that's what they did they both did when it came time for them to emerge their clothes summed up their mood tattered torn shadows of their former selves sure they had improved in the strength department but was it worth it wait where was everyone wait where's kami things had gotten so dire according to mr popo another threat arose which meant that the others had to step in to stop the androids and another beast named cell kami had had to fuse with piccolo so that they could keep up with this power once they had been informed both vegeta and chichi felt the full impact of this abomination it was like a mixture of everybody melded into one including her yes this cell had chi-chi's dna as well as well as some magical mana in there too it had been baked into her dna and despite jiro's best efforts and desires to not resort to magic tricks trying to get it out he couldn't it was hardwired into there and so thusly the doctor had no choice but to go with it after all if it fulfilled his objective then oh well it was one small admission in an otherwise tech driven goal popo told them that they had better stop off at corons to get a sensor bean if they were to be of use in the battle and they did just that with them beamed up they headed off to find cell fighting android 17 wait the bad guys were now fighting the new bad guy they've been in there a long time goku and chichi embraced and he explained to her who this guy was he'd wanted to go into the time chamber with piccolo goku but this sudden interloper had taken that off the table for the moment and then things got worse when 17 was absorbed chichi spotted a familiar trait to sell powering up the bug droid looking more androgynous this time than the original version we're used to as then transformed into his perfect form and despite sixteen doing his best he wasn't enough to fend off semi-perfect cell and not even the other fighters could cope with semi-perfect cell something of which became evident when cell locked ice with chichi ah yes welcome chi chi i've been wanting to meet you i have you to thank for your magical gift he counted up a little green flaming bull which ran up and down his arms this little trinket of power has been rather useful in staving off your friends i am so glad that the doctor was unable to remove this valuable trait from my makeup it has proven to be rather useful again thank you so much gigi was flawed again as if vegeta showing her up in the time chamber wasn't enough cellar been able to use her own trick against her friends this freak of nature was the culmination of all of them so without further hesitation she powered up and began to fight cell there and then and despite her gains in the chamber with vegeta it was nothing against this monster again her choice to go with the prince was proving to be the worst decision she had made in her life however it did provide one positive from all of this this version of cell was a little more empathic and understanding thanks to chichi's dna and makeup he wasn't planning on killing them all right now so wanted to see what they could do on an even playing field this is where the cell game idea comes in still yes he would state if they failed he would blow the planet up but he added the caveat cell that he wanted to see them all at their best not when they were all downtrodden and unable to pluck up the courage and gusto to give him a good show 10 days that's what they had that's what they had to get even stronger and with that cell just flew off leaving them all to figure things out for themselves the next morning after the two had well used their time left goku asked chichi if she wanted to go back in the chamber for the remaining six months of time she had left before her limit using it was up no goku i can't you can go in with gohan he needs you more than me i will i'll find a way with that she told goku and gohan to go into the rim of spirit in time together while she went off to go and see an old friend that friend being fortune teller baba with the rest of the team either resting or training to fend off cell as best they can chichi spent her remaining time with baba the latter confused as to why she would be coming back here after all this time i don't understand what i can offer you kid your power is far beyond mine on paper yes but i've lost my way i've got nine days to save the world whatever you and this place can offer me is most welcome that beast is horrific bomber nodded indeed cell is a troublesome foe what with them possessing your magical characteristics and whatnot from what i could sense they rely on that a lot sucks to be you again bobble wasn't the kindest and most tactful person going if only there was a way to turn it off what jero wanted bubba looked up wait turn it off you say chichi looked up and sniffed yeah what about it the old witch grinned i've got an idea kid and i think we've got enough time to make it work with that kernel of hope chichi prepared herself for a crash course in whatever baba had in mind when the time came for the games chi-chi was ready now rested she flew to meet the rest of her teammates and found them to be ready also chichi chose to keep her cards close to her chest waiting for the right moment to unleash her and baba's plan goku elected to go first like in the original and proceeded to whittle cell down with his full power super saiyan strength like in the original it wasn't enough to beat cell but it was a decent fight and cell's dominance was exacerbated with his arcane boosts chichi detested the presence of cell making this into a classic tournament format and yet it had tricked the humans thinking this to be a legit contest it was being televised and the current 24th champion hercule was there to gloat and await his time to shine chichi used telekinesis to keep him from stepping into the ring for his own sake he was effectively iced out of the contest through an invisible wall before goku called time on his fight chichi gathered the group around her even vegeta okay when i get the word attack cell with everything you've got chi-chi are you crazy if we break the rules so we'll blow up the planet in once trust me this'll work it's chichi with a confident expression that calmed krillin down vegeta was skeptical though but chose to humor her i mean what else did she have to cling on to chichi tagged him with goku and faced off cell he had been worn down a little bit but this time goku doesn't throw the senzu bean to sell since that wasn't part of his plan with gohan and all the gang informed goku of what chichi's about to do and he goes along with it choosing to use the bean on himself cell is confused really you plan to fight me i can tell you've not improved much since we last met why are you so keen to die at this rate you'll be dying of embarrassment chichi was silent and got into a stance and the fight began cell wasn't wrong though chichi was clearly on the back foot throughout all of this and this was leading cell down a very one-way street he had all their dna which included saiyan dna this meant that in the moment of battle he was very much single-minded on the prize that's the moment when chi-chi got up and unleashed a giant bull of flame only this time it was black it sped towards cell but cell didn't attempt to block or dodge it he sensed nothing powerful about this thinking this was just some kind of diversionary tactic and so chose to take it big mistake the bull washed over him and disappeared from view but seconds later when cell began to resume the fight he felt off what the what's going on he tried to summon up his magical boost but it failed cell's expression looked desperate whereas chichi looked triumphant you see cell you are right i may be weak compared to you but when it comes to smarts it's no contest cell tried to flare up the inner beast but nothing happened now shouted chi chi and that was the signal for everyone to land their strongest attacks and was self-compromised in terms of his magical boosts it left him relatively powerless to fend off at least 10 sources of attacks at once and that led to him being overwhelmed the last thing he saw was chichi's smiling face losing a it's a right turn off wouldn't you say cell understood what had happened and grimaced before the powers overtook him you conniving he was gone vaporized he was no more in the wake of self-destruction chichi had felt better than she had done in a very long time she had been able to fix the damage and hardship that her magic had wrought upon her friends but before she could truly bask in her own sense of pride another prideful person got in her way it was vegeta well well you came up with the goods after all i suppose that means you will seek to challenge me once more think you can get the upper hand on me with your tricks chichi smiled no vegeta i'm not playing your games anymore i quit what was that said the prince with astonishment goku then asked what she meant by that him curious too my quick goku i'm done i don't want to fight anymore this has gone far enough for me but you're so strong in your magic skills we need them don't you see what just happened no you don't my powers are what got us all into this mess if cell hadn't been blessed with my dna things would have been easier and she looked to the side i've learned a lot about myself these past months and i don't like what i see but now i know what i must do so actually despite that time being a living hell i have you to thank prince vegeta look taken aback what because of your little mind games using me for a punching bag i'm over trying to be strong i've got what i want now and now i know what i need to do to ensure that what happens in the future doesn't happen here she looked to future goten and gohan as she said this goten i'll make sure that the future doesn't repeat itself in all respects goten looked surprised but smiled are you sure mom chichi nodded i've been longing for the chance to step back for a while now but outside factors she turned back to vegeta with a scowl again digging more and he just romped away pulled me back in but now i've grown beyond that i don't care about the prince's wants i only care about what i want and what's best for my family she smiled for the first time in a while now i'm at peace well i mean you can't say no to that now can you goku respected the decision ultimately but was still sad to not fight alongside her anymore on the front line that didn't mean chichi wanted to get out of the game entirely she vowed to keep gohan honest after all that was part of her plan she explained this to her family as well as future goten who was staying at the house for a little while and was preparing to head back to the future you see from what you told me goten things fell apart for us all because i fought on the front line and neglected to realize the bigger picture for the time when your father and i won't be here to protect you it's at times like those that you two need to be there for one another siblings need to stick together and from what you said that didn't happen and it ripped everything out from under us and you nobody was safe from the fallout of that incident goten's eyes widened i'm not planning to be a housewife solely though she winked i plan to make use of what i have learned and use it to bring my family together she rubbed her stomach i can feel that it's gonna be needed goku and gohan were shocked you mean she was gonna have another kid whoa goten smiled i hope that one has a better time of it than i did i can't change my past this whole trip has proven that to me it hasn't impacted my timeline but i suppose i'm glad that it stopped this one from descending into chaos gohan hugged his elder future bro thanks goten for everything the brothers from other realms hugged it out and the family unit was stronger than ever when goten had departed to fight for his future now buoyed with new found gusto chichi had settled into her role of becoming the family keystone now mother to two she named her newborn boy goten after the future version of her second son she was loving life now not only had she managed to find ease with herself but she could use her magic for more practical purposes instead of just fighting she could help gohan with his training too at their own pace so that he could master his own inner beast and super saiyan powers show goten how to do it once he was old enough to demonstrate it and most importantly still show vegeta up as for the prince he had been the one left wanting he had been longing to carve out a rivalry between himself and chichi that could last for decades for the rest of his fighting prime and now she had taken it away from him for her own selfish desires might that come back to haunt our friends in a future saga well hold your horses there but whatever happens for the rest of the time skip chichi continues to be the mother wife and teacher for the group but she's in a good place right now and surely he'd want that for her right after what we got in the original she's not hanging up her ghee for good but using it for times when she wants to have a quiet life in the quiet lands of mount palsu put her training to good use teach the next generation how to wield the inner beast that they had inherited from her and surprisingly by proxy the ox king even piccolo stepped up every now and again to help with meditative study dende from namek being roped in after cell had been stopped to replace kami as guardian of earth piccolo noted how much chi-chi had grown in this time and that now she was in complete contentment and was able to end things on her terms he couldn't be any prouder of her his respect for the magical fighter at all time highs now chichi's last big hurrah in the story came during the babadi saga with another magical presence looming in the shadows chichi naturally could feel it from a mall off whereas her friends could not because babari doesn't have ki some mage had arrived on earth a power which was terrifying and vicious unlike anything she had ever felt or experienced through her training the closest feeling she could remember was when she was about to drink the ultra divine water meeting darkness herself remember darkness is a woman here and as a result she told goku and gohan now grown up and stronger than ever that there was an evil presence located several hundred miles from here and that she was the only one who could sense it then the three of them going to check it out turned out she was right choosing not to alert any other the dragon team members especially vegeta chichi gohan and goku headed off to the location of barbary's ship to confront him goten stayed behind with ox for safety and again to not around suspicion keeping their powers low up until the last second chichi managed to pinpoint the exact location where babadi was and pointed for where her husband and firstborn to open fire but before they could do so a giant pink monster ascended and attacked the two saiyan warriors ignoring chichi but it's not boo it's deborah poking your noses in other people's business are we master bobbity does not like those who meddle in our affairs master bobbitty said chichi to herself then she remembered something from barbara's teachings from when she was a kid yet the name wasn't exact something about bibbidi and an evil genie or something could that be related questions for later though as deborah began to challenge goku and gohan chichi used her relative anonymity to scope the ground and spotted a little potato wizard observing the battle from below carrying a weird device she decided to go down there and investigate with a punch to the potato's face this surprised her he went down like a rock what barbie got up and shouted obscenities at her how dare you strike the great bobbidy i will make you pay but chichi had other ideas this magic wasn't that strong actually sure it was different but thanks to her inner beast she was able to shrug it off mostly leaving bobbity stunned huh what's going on why isn't your meaty head succumbing to my glorious mind control chichi smirked oh i'm not just some meat head i'm more than that she stood there and silently activated a telekinesis and held barbady on the spot the potato had no answer to this he was left floating in mid-air and powerless thanks to chichi's own power that and she had vowed to not let earth be destroyed from arcane powers ever again because that's almost what happened with cell you think this is all i can do she walked up to him floating and looked terrified the potato i don't care what you're up to but what i do care about she punched straight through his flimsy torso is my home she carved the fire mountain simple atop barbary's margin simple on his belt as a statement before all life faded from the wizard and he collapsed to the ground up above deborah could feel babari's energy fading and the control over him reducing as well however he still liked fighting so he didn't stop the battle with these two but it was clear that he was about to lose when they both unlatched super saiyan 2 on him yeah the game was up and deborah was destroyed as well so you could probably tell chichi was useful here when magic was involved and yes it is a shame to purge babadi and dabura early but thanks to chichi and baba being around magic has had a healthy run in this series eh so yeah no boo he's still there so by the time the supreme kai had arrived to find barbidi and dabura already gone he was left with only the job to transport buu's sealed ball to a safer location so that it may never be used in the mortal realm again shin was astounded by chichi and her family's power and offered to train her further to use celestial powers but she declined no thank you supreme kai i've had my fun i just want to keep my home safe shin applauded her modesty and said the invitation would always be open to her and anyone from earth they kept that in mind okay here's the amended ending if you remember my part 13 video for this what if i did sort of cut things off relatively quickly so here i wish to address the idea a little more elaborately or at least give you all some more narrative points to go over about where this story actually would naturally end up we had established that chichi had been quiet during the morrow and granola sagas her not participating in the tournament of power either now a lot of you were quite surprised and disappointed that she didn't take part in this contest however i felt like there was a more nuanced reason for this decision during her studies with baba she learned many things about the way the other world works the higher up worlds the place where the omni-king and the gp resided in as well beerus had been quite wary of chichi's powers in fact since magic wasn't really one of those things he had particularly strong beliefs in not really understanding it all that much aside from his own destroyer powers which you could class in a way magic ish she had researched the omni king well and found their edicts to be rather unpredictable and something that she genuinely found abhorrent thusly she chose to abstain from selection for the tournament she knew that her friends and goku as well would be able to handle all of this on their own they didn't really need her help and sure enough they did and came up with the goods she stayed on earth and chose to protect it in case there were any chances thinking that with goku and the dragon team gone you know how things go around maybe frieza's force while he's out there too they could come in and pick up the pieces well not with her and goten and trunks around another change i will make for the story is that moro and her do interact she is still not on the front line when goku and vegeta investigate namek and the like with the grand supreme kai and all but when the battle comes to earth she obviously becomes part of the team and uses her powers to be able to bring down a lot of the galactic inmates who have been used to try and bring the planet down by overwhelming it thanks to their simplistic minds because most of them are grunts and criminal goons rather apathetic in different stances as well tomorrow she was able to use her magical powers to control her gusto thusly nullifying their involvement in the overcoming of earth basically they were child's playing comparison of taking over their minds or their will she also kicked butt as well when the inmates she faced got a little bit too strong to be swayed her blue flames of bullish power formidable on the field of battle goat senpai would notice her it had been a long time since he had seen anyone exploit the arcane quite as much as he had done even more so than bibbidi he had to congratulate her personally granted chichi would be no match for a beefed up moro but she certainly was able to throw some tricks here or there to keep his interest on her for a while meaning that the others could land some more constructive strikes upon him as well as take down the rest of the goons she had to pull out all her tricks to make any headway against the ram man but at least she and he were at loggerheads for a little while right again thanks to a less active fighting recently and morrow being especially now the strongest ever mage that had ever existed does kind of scupper any chance of her winning if she had done if i just said oh chichi wins because she's chi-chi that'd be ridiculous but at least now in this tweaking she could use her skills to at least challenge him a little bit so thank you for sharing your feedback about that by the way thank you then we come to the post-granola saga chichi have felt a little bit more at ease with her lot in life her boys had grown up and she felt like they had managed to flourish on their own terms her family being able to handle the brunt of the threats that could ever come earth's way because of this this meant she could study the arcane more than ever free from the responsibility mostly of battling with fisticuffs like her friends against any invaders seeing her enthusiasm rekindled inspired barbara a great deal too and despite her disinclination with teaching any more people her ways of magical prowess she did have a soft spot for chichi and the amount she had learnt and synthesized into baba's own knowledge she'd come up with something that was a blend of martial arts and the mana based arts this in the right hands could be remarkable chichi had gotten quite a ways in her lifetime but she knew she couldn't carry on at peak output forever granted she could extend her life just like how baba and roshi had done by either using magic or key to do so but that would be a big ask watching her children her friends and goku wither and die that was a tough call and not something she wanted to think about all that much right now besides what like yeah in her 40s or something bit early to think about that however one thing that took her mind off of all of this was pan pan had been enamored with chi-chi's magic ever since she were a baby her grandmother using her skills to make pretty little light shows emit from her fingertips bright flashy colors always work wonders for infants of course she taught gohan and goten most of her repertoire but gohan was very busy with his own work-life balance and goten wasn't quite proficient enough to be a master yet but she had time to do that chichi found in fact this to be rather cathartic not only was she passing down her knowledge to even more of her kin but she could also babysit pan whilst her parents were off at work familial bonding also pan had a knack for this too not to mention the will to learn by the time pan got to the age of five around about the time of the end of z chichi took the decision to bring pan to baba's place for the first time to meet her own mentor gohan and videl were okay with this since pan actively wanted to go and they knew also that chichi was extremely responsible she wasn't going to be doing anything bad with her own granddaughter she knew what she was doing so when the pair of them got to baba's palace the witch was there ready and waiting and prepared she welcomed the youngling and asked her what she knew already pan explained that she could make lights come out of her fingers and thanks to her basic martial arts training with grandpa goku she could also fight a fair bit too i yes just like your grandmother now kid i don't offer this to just anybody chichi here was lucky to be blessed with my teachings and i had a point to prove with you i will not be soft just because you're literally are you ready to learn pan nodded with every fiber of her being chichi smiled alright chichi said baba where do we start so what would happen if chichi were a
