WHAT? Hunter @FabRats in a FORD!!!! What Is Hunter & His old Man Up to Now??

welcome to sawdust and lug nuts um this is kind of a funny little deal here I'm not a big Ford fan neither is Hunter but I ended up buying this F-150 and that little Ranger right there on an estate sale the old boy that lived in this modular here passed away and I ended up getting both these Fords on a pretty decent deal so what I decided Ed to do is I talked to Hunter and these have been sitting for years so I have no clue what they need or if they'll even run but I was going to give him the Ranger and I was going to keep the F-150 and we were going to have a little contest and see who could get their truck running first this is uh 84 I believe and that's a 90 and as luck would have it um that right there is a second shop that I just picked up from my Mom and Dad we're going to hook on to the F-150 drag it over there where I can actually work on it a little bit actually let's go look at the license plat see when they were last register um it was so long ago that it's not even there it was green it was green I have no idea um 13 uh this this one is four of 13 so here we are in 24 that's probably been sitting I would dare say for 10 years and I would dare say that that has been setting that F-150's been sitting for 10 years so we got our work cut out I have no I I know no history on them I I bought them on an estate sale hey look at that there's the tailgate check this out I had no idea I thought I was going to be buying a tailgate but look at that it's even straight it's missing some guts but we can find guts that's cool so the old tailgate uh no rust no D no dings looks like the Rangers got a little huner in the bed but that's nothing that we can't work with the rest of it pretty straight I'm sure hundra will figure that out real quick if he can get the thing running he's going to be coming up a little later and um he's going to be working on this one I'm going to be working on the F-150 and we're going to see who can get their truck running first so leave a comment Who's going to get their truck running first and this can't go to Fab brats it has to he has to work on it here um I was going to pull my truck in there but pull the Jeep out hunter's already taking this shop over so his Jeep's in there so we're going to hook on to that F-150 we're going to drag it right over here onto my lot and then uh see if we can start the old girl at least hook some cables up and see if it'll turn over hopefully uh it's not froze up I'm going to back the old cumins up right here and I'm going to pull you up past and then we'll back it in to the that lot right there that plum bush that slammed the door closed this uh going or what yes it is do we want to just pull it right there by that pile of stuff almost on almost on that can yep you have a key for it Clayton I don't know I didn't look was there a key in the ignition no might have to start with a screwdriver just put some jumper cables on and see if we can even turn it over let me see if the ignition will even turn it'll turn oh will it that's some kind of a toggle switch for something this might be interesting Tony it's time to get a battery if we had my cables we could just hook it up I got big enough cables you don't need a battery well don't you need a battery to get continuity these are top let's go see if there's a battery in this uh Ranger Hunter's going to pull up right as you do this Hunter won't know if I steal the battery out of the Ranger hey look at that brand new battery brand new 10-year-old battery 23 you think it'll turn over unless it's got a bad starter it'll do something there is no key but listen the heater's working how do we turn that off right there that means we got auxili but look at this that's the starter Tony what the heck am I got myself into here I you better start it and let it run for a while let's start my cuming I'll bet that'll give us enough cranky na to get this thing to turn this is probably Factory from Ford yeah so you can be under the hood and try to work on it you going turn over oh check this out watch this she's not seized up that's good I think we let that battery charge a little bit it'll crank over you got any gas here um I might have some saw gas in the back of my truck let me see we got saw gas we need to wait till it'll start to crank a little bit there's a pouring a two barrel is it only two barrel yeah no kidding probably get 8 mil a gallon with a two barrel instead of four try the starter button you just put it back in no it's right there you going to gas it well let's see if it'll turn over first we're not getting enough our RPMs to start it I don't think we're turning enough RPMs though to get it to to fire see you just you're not getting enough amps for the starter tryer it's going to run Tony that is going to run well that's good news let's just button it back up and we'll wait till hun gets here and then uh we'll have the race we we'll the race will begin let's go move the ranger next to this so they're on our property that's not good at all what we just ripped the fing bumper off you let me get out and tell you that I couldn't get the key turned on I couldn't steer oh is the key still not turned on no that's why it's sit way Oh I thought you said go no stop Oh I thought you said go yeah my bad dang we might can bend that back well Tony was wanting me to stop and I thought he was saying go there's no keys in that Ranger it's in the middle of the road I got to get it out of the [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] road well got it done but not without uh some collateral damage kind of F Bar this bumper right here Tony was waving me off and I thought he was saying go no keys in it I should have should have paid a little more attention but it's here now we got to figure out how to start the old girl and uh go from there uh back to the shop good news found the keys they were at home should have found them before I screwed up Hunter's bumper but I'm going to get the floor jack out and I think I can straighten that bumper right there but I'm going to put these keys in the ignition before I lose them there you go okay so I got the keys found for the Ranger now I'm going to see if I can fix hun bumper I ran to the shop grabbed floor jack um let's see what we can [Applause] do moved a little bit I put a [Applause] [Music] block [Music] it's looking a lot better than it did we're getting close I'm going to crank a little bit more good as new it's cold so I'm going to go home build a fire Hunter's on his way up here to check out his new ride he wants to come and check out this beautiful little Ford Ranger he'll have fun with it I think these trucks are going to be kind of fun speak of the devil here he comes right now there's [Music] Hunter always got to have a grand entrance that's for sure Jen's in her muckers she looks pretty good huh she looks good in mockers what are we doing messing with the f word yeah what are we doing here Hunter you know I bought these on an estate sale the old boy died y I figured you can have that one I'll get this one and we'll see who can get theirs running first that's easy we have to go around the block you have to be able to drive it under its own power not just start it has to you have to drive it all right and you can't take it down a fabra at you have to do it here I think to make it interesting we need to bet that silver coin that I gave you oh yeah against another silver coin all right so if you win you end up with two and if I if you win I get mine back you get yours back I like that you like that I'll do that trade okay I bought some starter fluid for starters and um I robbed that battery out of that one wow trying to even in the playing field huh yeah yeah so what you want to do first I know I haven't even looked at this old Jewel yet pop the hood clean one owner oh yeah and I found the keys I didn't have the keys you found they in they're in the ignition should we see if it'll turn over I rub that on you no thanks so the best looking camera person there is okay positivity negativity so like that it barely fits a tight fit I mean it it's not that is a nasty bum hole it's not the battery for for it hey let me pull my truck up a little bit we'll jump how you feeling are you freezing it's so cold guys come look on the inside oh pristine condition think we could go on a date night in that yeah yeah date night in that sure look at you how many miles does it got that 845,000 does it work that can't be right no it won't work that's sad did you see that no what my dad just jumped he just impressive he just jumped like left the Earth left the Earth it's starting to snow it is he about went down yeah I about turfed it there Jim that would have been so funny that would have been funny for sure this mud is so slick jumper cables are pretty nice see it fny he's got a t it too and the snow is coming the snow is on its way something's clicking hold on okay that's a good sign that was I just don't think there's enough juice in this battery anything hey let's give it a shot of ether are you going to get it to run that's easy sure there's that just right off okay fireing the hole try it again oh oh hold on there now tryer anything it's this ground cable you know how to work it oh okay in the hole you got to be kidding me go away keep her alive keep her alive it's going to run no way without a fuel pump oh maybe no rer been set in 10 years Jen oh my God that is awesome that's crazy I'm not giving up two silver coins you're giving up two silver coins did you try putting in gear no there we go I don't got bre there's no braks no braks I had to find car try and drive you might want to step back right right oh okay got any bre that is pretty promising that is promising it can go forward and backwards and it starts after 10 years of sit it's because it's a Ford not a Chevy you know you think that's it Jen yep maybe I want that one this one's nicer looking I like this F150 where's my fuel tank even at I don't know it's up there on the front on this it's going to run I'm going to put a fuel tank in it not a fuel tanku P just a fuel pump I guess you can drag it down to Paul's cuz you may need to lift to get the tank out I'll be all right but that means uh I'm under the gun to get that going good luck what does that one need rebuild the carb I know how you procrastinate so I'll have enough time to get a fuel pump in this before you rebuild that carb probably probably so do you know if that one goes into gear or not um no I don't So currently I'm in the lead and current you're in the lead I don't know if the transmission's junk on that or not I'm I like my odds I'm hoping not if we get them both running we're going to have to go somewhere else Zion I'm going to sell mine yeah or give it away Give It Away that'd be cool yeah give it to a fan maybe he yeah what you going to do with yours it's a Ford fing Ranger I got to keep it but it's two wheel drive oh that's perfect these things spin the tires this would be so fun to take like the East Fork in the summer camping and stuff I know it but I did find the tailgate it was over there in the mud oh yeah I see it yeah I found the tailgate to that that is a pretty straight You' got snow sticking to your eyelashes that is a pretty straight little truck that is there's no Dinger dance you can go get in the truck let's start it we did have a little mishap on this one yesterday what do you mean mishap little mishap you'll see it when you watch the video this used to be bent clear down there and I got brought my floor jack up and straightened everything back up I see so that's still got to be adjusted on the frame yeah but I straightened it pretty dang good but it's kind of tweaked cuz uh Tony hooked it to the bumper instead to the frame freaking Tony Tony let's blame Tony gosh dang it Tony I know let's blame him well I'm going to have to pull the Jeep out and pull that in and yep swap her out well it's that's promising that is that is so promising that that thing just fired like that I am excited I guess I'll drive a Ford on this one occasion on this one occasion you'll it's a Ford Ranger at least at least it's not like a focus or I could drive a Raptor Raptors I could drive rapor I could drive a raptor stay tuned for part two of us uh potentially maybe driving these around the block and mine will be I don't know about yours you you'll see this F-150 in the lead I guess if we get them both run at the same time we're going
