What flathead fishing is REALLY LIKE! (Tent Camping)

what's in here it's my first fly head trip of the year like real fly head trip of the year where I actually hope to catch a flathead which means I'm probably not gonna catch fly head what I'm gonna try and catch fly head yeah that's kind of how Flathead fishing starts for me every year small fish lots of skunks but sometime in May or June it's like a switch seems to flip all of a sudden everything's right in the world [Music] campus finally setting up woody you're my good luck charm I hope most people don't realize this but woody he's actually terrified of flatheads I have some pictures of him where I've caught some nice ones and he was started in the boat and if the boats pulled up on the bank he is like on the bank after a big fish has landed if you're wondering why my eyes are bloodshot it's because I've been rubbing them over and over cuz mosquitoes have been attacking me I never forget my thermos oh and I didn't forget it but it bounced out of my kayak on the way here still adjusting to having a trailer and figuring some things out that have never been an issue before and suddenly are an issue but hey I'm made of money so thankfully I'll just go buy another one it's no big deal but we have bug spray so it's not the end of the world we're flying fishing we're camping all night hopefully good things will happen huh what started will it keep going let her go for a while any cardboard or anything we might need that alright it's happening get half of it burning the other half is not burning but I put the toilet paper there so it's kind of burning we'll just see how it shakes out okay thought you might be there's some heat there I'll just you know leave it for 5-10 minutes and see what it looks like when I pull the lid off well maybe wines going upriver come on they'll get inpatient Bauer Wow he went clear upriver yeah and he came on nice that's pretty melodramatic but fun in the moment potential live-action see your odd tip Bowen hair now you just hit some grass and they're like the LARM went off what he's excited Oh Bota keep him off that stump oh that's that that that's not a channel nice flat head alright the fun I was anticipating nice Hooksett bed it's nice and soft oh no I got him I need to clean off my footage and worry about my hamburgers that'll work buddy yeah good start I was not wrong which is weird he down deep I wondered Oh pliers we have the tools got it Oh watch yourself alright success smile you might be the thumbnail if we don't catch anything [Laughter] you're gonna end up with an infection yeah there they are shrinking so that means they're cooking right it's very science e of you I appreciate that it is that time moment of truth our hamburger jerky is finished there you go thank you sir yep and our chips and salsa know all you not the best burgers I've ever had but one of the best burgers I've ever had while fishing cuz I haven't had very many burgers while I'm fishing I was feeling there's gonna be a propane grill in my future you're in Fuego the way he hit I didn't figure he was real big but you never know for sure I am NOT going down there for him I'll hold your rod the slopes more gentle over there right I bet you could lift it by the line I bet my dog could go down there and get my to fish before sundown no pretty solid at least you can hook them I got pliers right here nice one buddy ain't but he's nine and a half ten point oh two ten point oh two I'll be a liar no perfect all right the Bonita Bonita release again you're an animal someday I'll be as good of a catfish you re the Tassler squad channel cat just killed my freaking sunfish my son fish is still freaking out he was in somebody's mouth I'll let you do your thing for a while but I already call somebody and have them deliver a thermos ill we spread our baits out on the outside bend in the river there's like on the outside bends there's like a deeper spot usually with the reduced current depending on the water level Bryan's due up for a big one he's got us to warm up soon now highs your scale Gil all right so we're good up to 109 pounds and 15 ounces still there god you're in Fuego keep that line tight man nah smaller you can lift him you got a man up might be tough 7 and uh least he's not hooked in the throat mm-hmm least mosquitoes aren't eating me alive oh wait they are sorry forgot where we're at for say yeah you're a real fly head fisherman baby control no but that's a three flathead night it is I don't care how you spin it what do you got to say why not a sacrifice good enough for me what he's like you're an idiot [Music]
