well you guys this is a tribute video to um a pair of my favorite trucks that's getting pretty worn out and first off i want to say a big thanks to scott who sent me the board that had these trucks on it that i have gone back and forth to over the years they're a real favorite set of trucks of mine i try a lot of different things and then every time i jump back onto these they feel like home and i end up riding them for the life of the board also a big apology in advance to anyone who already knows what these trucks are and to all the people that are just gonna have to grin and bear it through all the slogan chanting and a big your welcome to all of you that are getting ready to do all of your all caps slogan chanting okay so why do i like these trucks so much well i find the height and the weight balance to be just perfect i get the right amount of pop the turn is sharp enough without being too sharp and it's got a nice deep turn i don't get much wheel bite i think they're the best looking truck on the market and they last me the longest i never have to do anything to the bushings the pivot cups don't wear out and they have a lot of time like i could probably get at least six months out of a pair of trucks if i rode them back to back without switching anything up and i know for those of you that haven't figured it out i'm sure the suspense is killing you and i don't care i'm just gonna keep skating for a while before i tell you why because i'm having fun with this [Applause] [Music] so [Music] okay you guys enough with the suspense so my favorite trucks that i've been riding over the last couple of years are the independent 144 standards thank you scott but yes every time i set these up on something as long as the deck isn't too steep these trucks just feel like home you know when i have like a medium or a medium mellow board i can get great pop on these they don't feel heavy at all i can do all my flat ground tricks like there's nothing that i can't do on these or that i feel limited by whether it's tech or um tech or tech because that's kind of all i do the point is you guys i love these trucks and i'm finally hitting axle on these let's take a look all right let's take a look at these guys you can see we got the axle just poking through there so they still have easily a month left in them got a fair bit of grind wear going on there base plates not looking too bad the kingpin has definitely seen better days and my one complaint about indies is after about six months the bushings do start to get pretty loose you can see i've got you know a mill or two of uh kingpin bolt showing through that's more than i would like but these trucks are almost done so no biggie front truck has some kind of oddwear we could see the crook groove going on a lot of base plate wear pivot cups are still good you know we're definitely getting pretty worn down i tried to swap these trucks over and it didn't work out so yeah i tried to swap these trucks over front to back but i did it way too late in the life of the truck and here's what happens so unless you're swapping your trucks over like every deck the problem is you get grooves right and your grooves help you lock in the grinds and when i switched my trucks around what happened was i was falling out of my grinds because the grooves were in the wrong spot and they're literally pushing me out of grinds kept trying to do a backside nose grind across a ledge and i just kept falling off of it so yeah you know you either got to switch them up every board or stick with them front to back don't change them so from now on that's all i'm ever going to do that's all i ever used to do but yeah there's still life in these but um the good news is i got another set of 144s next time it's going to be hollows but they still have the cast base plate the regular base plate which is good because i actually like the height of the regular 55 millimeter indies but my next hollows are gonna be the same weight as these ground down indies which are about 365 right now so they've gotten pretty light from the almost 400 grams that these trucks were when they were new [Applause] [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] oh boy i'm done yes i'm not done you guys i am done like dinner at least i'm done filming hopefully you guys enjoyed a little change you know a bunch of uh mini skating i don't do that all the time but yeah these have been my favorite trucks by far i also want you guys to know i have no affiliation with indy this is not sponsored these were given to me by a viewer i've never actually received anything directly from indy so this is not sponsored at all i guess i'm just an indie fan boy so go ahead chant your slogans i don't really care um i just like these because they function the best for me personally let me know in the comments what's your favorite truck and why so thanks for watching you guys till the next video
