if you're like me you probably just want to take your swimsuits and throw them in your backpack and be ready for vacation and let's just go right but the reality is when you go to an all-inclusive resort they have dress codes and I'm going to tell you all about them actually I want to know in the comments did you guys even know that there's a dress code when you go stay at a resort let me know in the comments cuz I'm just curious there are so many different dress codes like depending on which Resort you go to they have different levels of dress codes as well like somewhere like sandals is going to have more of a formal kind of dress code where somewhere like the Rio which is more of kind of like a party Resort it's known for being a party Resort like they have phone parties they're going to have more of a chill dress code in today's video I'm going to help you guys decipher what all these words mean like what is formal Bermuda what is resort casual what does Beach wear really mean I'm going to break it all down and give you examples they all Hold Steady for any Resort you go to so you're not going to have to worry about like wait does this mean this for sandals does this mean this for Rio this is generally speaking and guys don't get stressed out either remember it's fun you're on vacation it's not like a hardcore dress code just don't go there and have to end up buying something just because you can't go to the restaurant you wanted to you know I'm just trying to like help you prepare and as always we are doing this on a budget so I'm going to show you guys mostly she in kind of clothes to give you an idea and things that I've worn in the past that work so that way you can get all this stuff for like $15 $10 you don't need to be spending like $80 at the resort cuz these price tags are ridiculous so generally speaking when you're staying at a resort you're in a tropical climate it's humid it's hot so you have a suntan you need to keep this in mind when you're picking fabrics for your trip if you have some material that's like really itchy you're going to be like just itching the whole time and uncomfortable it's going to be scratching you especially on top of your sunburn if you get sunburned so I really suggest doing like flowy Linens this is what Resort Wear really is it's just like comfortable Brea breathable clothes most of them are kind of hard to wrinkle like if I just threw this into a bag and I pulled it out of the bag and I let it sit for a little while in that humidity it's probably going to unwrinkle because it's just like a breathable like light fabric it's not like heavy there's not like a lot of layers it's just light and Airy going to start with Beach wear and Resort casual cuz a lot of times they coincide like you'll go from the beach to lunch or vice versa and then I will move into more of the Resort Wear which is generally accepted for any meal at any restaurant that you go to or if you're going to see a show at the theater or something like that and then I'll get more into like the formal formal stuff I'm just going to give you an overall idea so you have photos and descriptions that will tell you each thing first off I briefly want to touch on excursions cuz if you are going off the resort you want to wear something think like RVS or those like dune buggies and think you're going to be outside but also getting wet or muddy so you want to have your swimsuit but you might be riding a horse so maybe have shorts this is kind of my go-to for uh excursions cuz it's just a fun conversation starter wearing like a movie shirt but I have my shoulders out so I'm able to still get tan I can also like just tie this up I can roll up my shorts if I want but I also have my bikini on underneath so I'll be able to get out and jump into like a Cenote or put this back on and it's going to be wet and Airy and it'll dry in like 5 minutes do you know what I mean that's more of like what to think of during an Excursion if you're going to be riding a horse think about that you're going to be on a saddle so you're going to want maybe longer shorts you can wear flip-flops also but again if you're going hiking flip-flops aren't ideal you know just keep it in mind a lot of people wear water shoes or you can rent water shoes while you're on the Excursion just something to consider now let's talk all things Beach wear I mean everybody knows what a bikini is what a swimsuit is it doesn't matter really what you wear the whole idea is you need to be covered from walking from your room to the pool or the beach or wherever you're going so you need to have some sort of cover up whether it be like a T-shirt and jeans or some sort of like this this is just kind of like a fun like flowy thing but you see how like all my body parts are like covered right but even guys when they go to the beach they have to wear a shirt on their way to the beach of course once you get to the beach or the pool you can like take take off whatever you want not allowed to go like topless or anything even at like an Adults Only Resort they recommend everyone is covered I have seen girls do the thing where you untie the back of your bikini like if you're tanning your back or whatever but there's just no topless sunbathing basically at Resorts they try to keep it PG even though if it is an adults only pool I don't know some of them get a little crazy depending on what resort you go to but the majority of them they want you to stay covered and one of the workers will come and say please put your top back on you could wear this to the beach and then you could also wear it to like lunch a lot of them have like grills or something like this but this would actually work when you go to eat like breakfast or lunch as long as you're like fully covered if that makes sense all the resorts that I've been to have a couple different options for dining during the day most of them will have a Beachside option which is kind of more like a mini buffet with just a bunch of stuff Pizza like snack kind of stuff and they don't care if you go in there with your bikini cuz they're coming fresh off the beach to just grab a bite and then go back down to the beach or back to the pool or whatever this is real casual dining here it's usually some sort of outside grill sometimes they'll have popups for lunch during the day too with like a big Feast so this is really casual casual and like I said it's mostly by the beach or the pool but if you are going to go to lunch at the lunch buffet you're going to need to cover up and again this is an okay option swim air coverups are allowed but you're not going to be able to just walk in there with your bikini where if you're at the grill They Don't Really Care just wear whatever and you can just run and get a chicken wing and then go back to your seat next let's move on to formal Bermuda or Resort Wear now for this one there's no flipflops sandals are okay but the whole idea is you want to be more of a country club kind of vibe like a sundress maybe I would probably wear sandals again no flip-flops so you could wear like a dress like this you know it's more casual look you're not like super dressed up you're not in like high heels you're just kind of at the Country Club having a drink so this is going to go for most of the snack bars and the lobbies of different hotels because they have different bars and things in the whole Resort itself and whenever you go into the bar you're going to have to have some sort of Resort Wear on unless it's like a beach bar you could wear the beach stuff but generally speaking anything in clothes you're going to have to wear some sort of a Resort Wear so something even like this can be considered Resort Wear the whole idea is it's not jeans it's like nicer it's a little more fitted it doesn't have to always be a dress that's kind of the easiest go-to a lot of people wear sundresses and stuff like that but you can wear something like this it's just a little more put together it's print it's not like short shorts It's not like here you know it's a general generally it's like a safer length like if I'm wearing something like this where I don't have a bra and like my jeans are ripped what's up like this is where it gets confusing cuz this is considered more Resort casual so I could either be on the beach in this or be covered up walking around the resort Resort casual but Resort Wear this isn't going to cut it it's not going to cut it now formal Resort attire you want to think like cocktail dress probably going to wear heels for this one and some of the private dining which is not included in your overall package like maybe it's extra to go alicart on a lobster or something like that these are going to have a more strict of a dress code so everybody knows what like cocktail dress are and stuff like that but I wanted to show you a shorts option that I just got on Sheen cuz it's so cute and I just want to brag because it's so cute I just tried it on so look at this so see it's got the shorts because some of us after a few days in the Sun get a little you know shaing here so we'd rather wear shorts than a dress so you can wear something like this which is more formal it's got kind of like a cape thing it's got flowiness but it's got more of a formal Vibe especially if I'm wearing heels actually I'll put some heels on so the minute you put heels on it's already classier you know what I'm saying so you can get away with this it just looks more elegant than for example the sundress that I had on earlier otherwise any cocktail kind of dress will do here's just something a little like flowy that I've worn before but just remember guys are going to be in suits so you need to feel comfortable enough to wear something next to a guy in a suit some people go like fancy fancy you could even wear something you would want to wear to a wedding or you know nice pants and then some places they have different kinds of entertainment which is like a paid performance a lot of them have dinner associated with that so that's where you're going to be wearing more of like the formal formal stuff but generally speaking if you just wear Resort Wear you can get into most places she in has some of the best options honestly for a cheap bougie on a budget feel so if you don't mind using my affiliate link if you're going to go shop there because I do get a small percentage from sales I'm always 100% honest about what I post as you know if you've seen some of my rim reviews and things so if you want to check out some more that Sheen has to offer like including these outfits that I had on today you can go check out this other video where I did a whole Sheen haul cuz I got so much stuff for like $60 but otherwise here's a whole bunch of other videos that I think you guys will like and if you have any questions as always leave them in the comments and I'll be sure to get back to you as soon as possible see you over there
