[Music] hello rockstars my name is christopher from rag wireless and welcome to the wisegate show in today's video we are going to talk about lorawan gateways [Music] number one gateways are the access points to the lorawan network for your end devices but wait as i mentioned many different terms let's go into them one by one first we need to know that lara is the radio modulation technique used to create the long range communication link it's based on the ship spread spectrum modulation technology developed by semtech what makes lara interesting is its very low energy consumption in its broad coverage range which is perfect for low data bandwidth solutions that also needs a long lasting operation time on batteries now we know lara let's jump into lara 1. this is the network protocol that uses the loreal technology just explained its job is to define how the devices use lora by regulating the message format or the change of messages between the participants of the network and those participants are include the end devices which are nodes wirelessly connected to the network that can generate receive and send information to other devices they can be used for example as sensors being capable of collecting data from the environment on air quality temperature or any other physical magnitude sensing use case as actuators they can take communication signals and convert them to mechanical actions such as movement sound and many more they can also perform more complex functions as trackers locating assets or as bridges converting non-wireless instruments into lara1 compatibles knowing this we are ready to understand the concept of lower one gateways which are the base stations of the network that allow bi-directional communication between end user nodes they forward data to the lower one servers for processing so in simple words if you are creating a project that uses lower one communication normally you will want to monitor the data of your sensors remotely for that you will need a lower one gateway that forwards the data to a network and application server that will receive this information and takes it to a third party platform with dashboards to visualize your data and vice versa from the platform to your end device rack has a whiskey edge line designed to suit all your needs with different options from cost effective gateways for indoor deployments to high-grade outdoor gateways that emphasize performance they have their own built-in network server and can also connect to other public private and community ones the configuration process does not require deep technical knowledge thanks to a high level graphical interface and the platform for remote management check out our store and documentation center to find the one that fits better to your application that's all for this video guys thanks for watching and don't hesitate to like share and subscribe for more techy and interesting content like this we will be uploading more videos soon so see you another time [Music] you
