went to sleep that was the decision that we made we woke up this morning that was the decision that you made we went to sleep you woke us up you saved our lives I would suggest that it's even more recent God than that we just breathe air the breath that we just took we don't have any air to breathe you gave it to us even right this moment you are still saving our lives and you are giving us great and marvelous promises about the future of our lives you are a lover you are keeper you're the god of our lives nothing is too hard for you these are your people God we need you we need you for everything we do every place we go every breath we breathe don't let the enemies sift us there's only one place where he can still fight now he's been defeated in every territory except our mind help praise on today oh he's worthy to be praised on this one somebody say hallelujah [Music] ba-ba-ba-ba qohor lemonade and with that in mind I wasn't going to do this but i'ma tell what the Lord did for me just in case some of y'all are wondering why I'm givin the Lord praise I know real quick I know we have to go on in the service but on early yesterday morning I had planned on taking the family and giving my big sister Kim and my nephew Martin a ride to annual kayak day Friday that my engine changed oil light came on so I went quickly to the place in the morning I'm not gonna say the name Amen to get my oil changed and they pulled the car out I was able to rush home and pick up the family and rush go pick up my sister in my nephew cuz we were going to kayak day headin down the 405 at about 80 miles an hour after about 20 minutes of driving I saw my windshield wipers jump a little bit I heard a little thump a few seconds later I saw the hood of my truck shaking at about 80 miles an hour I looked over to the side and I had kind of realized that the person who closed my trunk didn't close my hood didn't close it all the way and my hood was about to pop up on my windshield with my big sister my nephew my wife and my two sons in the car six members of the Blake family at 80 miles an hour so I quickly pulled the car over as fast as I could and when I got around to the front I just touched the hood and it seemed to open right on up and I realized what could have happened if I did not have the Lord Oh but that's not the whole story I quickly run around and slam the hood and we went on in God took care of us all day and in the rest of the day through my selective amnesia I seem to have forgotten what God had just done for me oh I woke up this morning with a whole lot on my mind and I came to church with burdens or in my mind but as they were singing the song the Lord brought that blessing that miracle back to me with blazing clarity on this morning and that said how can I sit here and not give the Lord praise that he had done it all today might have been a very different Sunday if it had not been for the Lord [Music] in the middle of church having forgot what God did for you [Music] today somebody Lord you are here only because of his faithfulness you are here only because he has kept his hand of protection and purpose on your life and he has brought you to this place today how dare you sit there not giving praise so we can take one more second when I think of his goodness and what he's done for me how he died on Calvary to set me free [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] to be praying I realized that I was not worthy for that blessing Who I am far from perfect but His mercies are new every morning oh I had to stop that because we could be there all day don't get mad because of the miracle that God brought in my life if he had not been there would have been a very very different Sunday morning at West Angelus but it was only because of his goodness oh let's just give the Lord another praise I know that was a little bit of a adjustment in our schedule on this morning but I had to tell somebody what God had done for me and he almost brought it back cos in the middle of worrying about everything and thinking about ministry and the church and what God is doing in my life I forgot what God had just done in my life just yesterday look at your neighbor and say just yesterday he did something in my life and I know I'm not the only one that God has been blessing and touching on this morning all let's give the Lord another praise on today hallelujah Amen praise oh we gonna move on for y'all get me in a little bit of trouble amen amen [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh it's alright to give in praise of God hallelujah hallelujah but with that reminder we want to declare that you're the Lord will never leave you even when your mind is distracted and you have forgotten what everything God has done for you he will never leave you sometimes we could selective amnesia but he is faithful all the time God is good and all the time all let's give the Lord another praise on today [Music] amen well beloved we've come to another very very very special time and our service on today if you're not already standing up praising the Lord with me for my blessing I want you to get up on them two good legs that God gave you a man is a Thorntons being a part of the church and we are so happy to have her home she relocated to Northern California but we are so happy to have her home in them home with us today she is married to the visiting from my birthplace from San Diego and sister Ashley Jones was a member of Pastor John Hannah's church before relocating there to San Diego land let's praise the Lord for them on this morning a man sister Asha and sister Maria and sister Anita a man we praise the Lord for you and we also want to welcome members of the Richard Coleman family and they are visiting from South Africa and they are in town for their family reunion and are the guests of our own sister Gwen Austin would you all please stand so that we can praise the Lord for you on the day amen amen [Applause] they came all David Moore and the Brotherhood organization along with sister Yvonne Johnson who was the director of our prayer ministry for hosting our one day prayer conference that took place on yesterday amen ah some folks there know that they had a good old time in the Lord a man a man will they had a perfect time Pastor John Hannah spoke and I know that some of y'all were blessed amen if you weren't there just hang out a little bit for a little while you'll see exactly what I am talking about and beloved the youth ministry would like to thank their sponsors for the success of the first impressions is everything event for our future generation of men which took place on Saturday July 13th and you know we also want to praise the Lord for the sponsors and the volunteers of the dare to dream tea that was given by the youth ministry for our teenaged girls so you had something going on for the young man and you had something going on for the young ladies I'm on the on the Saturday before last which was the 13th and they had a teenage girls they enjoyed an awesome panel discussion in QA and created their own god-given vision boards and this event like I said was held on the 13th of January um July but we also want to praise the Lord for and thank elder Donnie Williams and brother Brian Bradley for the eleventh and yokai AG day on yesterday Amen praise the Lord I know it's a whole lot of stuff here a man but it was a result of our partnership with a father forever organization led by our own brother William Dennison amen and we praise the Lord for them but finally our Bible College and our practical Christian living classes and our Christian education celebration will be taking place on tonight at 6:30 p.m. I know we usually come out for our 7:00 p.m. service on Sunday evenings but on this evening the service will start at 6:30 p.m. instead of 7:00 p.m. I know somebody's still don't show up at 7:00 p.m. Amen but at 6:30 that's when we will be starting our service on tonight and our guest preacher will be the Reverend dr. Clifton Clarke of Fuller Theological Seminary well beloved I now call for the parents and godparents of JL Rene Walters and Josiah spinner to come before the altar at this time yeah Jesus this children without room remember this day it will be your responsibility to remind them that they are special that they are dedicated to God but their lives have purpose and meaning beyond that that many on the earthly level would seek to understand and pursue these are children dedicated to God these are children who were brought to the altar the man of God prayed for them and he prayed for you because whatever I would pray for your children is affected by the commitment and the life that you have with the Lord that God has blessed you with these wonderful children that your goal and your objective be to rear them in the fear and admonition of God to make them a positive force on the earth for the good of the advancement of humanity he said the Lord builds the house they labor in vain that build it except the Lord watch the city the watchman wicked but in vain so I pray for your children and I pray for you may the anointing of God be on your life may you serve Him with vigor in strength and light and may your lives be blessed by the presence and the anointing of Almighty God I'm glad to pray for these wonderful young men and the Lord we pray for this young man we pray for those who stand with him today a conspiracy to destroy young men is at hand but not this one not our sons that God lets her blessing beyond the life of this young man preserve his life protect him and then Lord give him supernatural wisdom that he can impact the world for good that lives in the world be a better place because he lived in Jesus name thank you dear Lord for your blessing think of this young man that this young man will be a blessing in Jesus name [Applause] and the Lord we pray that I bless her beyond the life of this beautiful young lady you have a purpose for her life fulfilling that the entire family gather around your purpose and let them so guide and love and pray for this job but she'll pursue it all of her life that the world be blessed because she is in it the Lord use this entire family to be a blessing that I work and to bring glory to your name let us be a day of fantastic blessing and change in their lives in Jesus name thank God I let the church they praise the Lord clap your hands for these wonderful children [Music] I would wonder how much better the world would be every family loves Jesus and we're their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord how much well off would be the lives of our children if we made sure that they were raised up in the church too many families go to church and leave their children at home and to themselves to pursue whatever lifestyle they might choose but when you introduce your children to the Lord Jesus Christ when they grow up loving the Lord and being filled with the Holy Spirit they will not only bring a great blessing to the world they'll be a blessing to you and your life will be enhanced because of your godly children so we pray for our children and then we seek to bring them up in church in service and worship I know sometimes they don't want to go but take them anyhow you'll thank God for it and they will thank you for introducing them to the Lord Jesus let's praise God again with these families [Applause] thank you hello Charles Blake for your leadership of the service via praising God for you you do a fine job let's praise God for other Charles Blake Rebekah and both of them are busy in the church elder Lawrence Blaine had an announcement that he wanted me to make regarding a project that would help our homeless people and the needy people who in our community and the entire church will have an opportunity to be involved in this community impacting program and effort I speak of the awakening project 2019 last year we were involved in this project and we catered and provided supplies to more than 1,000 people who are suffering from homelessness Ella Charles Blake and the crew ministry this year are focusing on homeless students at two of our local high schools and those high schools are Dorsey and Crenshaw hi they have over a hundred and twenty homeless students at those schools and they want to stand as those young people and make sure that they have supplies that other assistance as they're able to devise it so in these school supplies pencils pens paper notebooks backpacks go by the store and buy the supplies of this nature and bring them to the church between July 30th and August 2nd call the church office ask for sister Jeannine Blake and they'll connect you sees that extension 26:10 and so the cool industry will also be gathering on July 30th through the hours of 7 through 9 to assemble these kits for our homeless students that they might have them and utilize those supplies in their school studies please help us support our neighbors who are less fortunate is the appeal that our young adults are making let's praise God prior young-adult fellowship [Applause] for the line sister Janine would you please stand reason is give them a rousing applause our church not only strives to meet the spiritual needs of the people in our community we seek to assist them and impact them in terms of their earthly physical material needs also 400 residences exist in Los Angeles because of the work of our Community Development Corporation we are concerned about the needy the poor employment and a host of other areas and we are doing a good job an impactful job in our community USC has credit us credited us with being one of the strongest Community Development Corporation's in the city of Los Angeles that's something that we praise God for and with that in mind I want us to pause to bless the word of the Lord it's offering time [Music] the Lord loves the cheerful giver and those of you who are noble in spirit and mine at heart when someone isn't good to you an extended period of time and you have an opportunity to be good to them you leap at the opportunity and you are overjoyed and having the privilege of blessing someone who has blessed you you're not the kind of person who is so narrow-minded that you feel that everything that was done for you was supposed to be done and almost had to be done and so you gave no thanks and no gratitude for it you're the kind of person who when you're blessed you appreciate the blessing and the one who shared that blessing with you how many of you appreciate the goodness of the Lord in your life how many of you thank God for God what is done for you in your life and provided for you believe that he is better we praise him and we thank him for the good things he has done but not only do we praise Him and thank him and speak words of love and gratitude we act it out we show our gratitude by deeds by generosity by the first time to bless the one who has blessed us all our lives I want everybody in the house to prepare to bless us Angeles as it seeks to do the will of God in our community and to impact our community for good whatever wonderful cratchit share your best if God who has blessed you what's the best that you have and he wants you to appreciate him even as he has loves you so tithers make ready to share those who will give you offering prepared to do so also come into the house of the Lord and bring an offering unto says the word of the Lord and when we give an offering to him it's not just something that we had lying around it's a special gift a special sacrifice that will make a difference not only in the work of the Lord but also in our own lives if it's not a sacrifice to you it's not a sacrifice to the Lord through Tigers would you please stand in the house of God we're going to pray then you're going to bring your gifts as unto the Lord Lord thank you for those who set aside the ten you have blessed them with all that they had you've asked them to take a tenth of that and to dedicate it to your glory and to your work these persons Lord loved you so much that they would never fail to bring the tithe unto you but they present it to you with lawyers arts bless them O God but the open windows of heaven blessing in the name of Jesus I pray a blessing that they don't have room to receive and we thank you for it everybody else in the house of God but you also stand with the tithers stand with the Tigers are encouraging you to give $100 $50 $1000 whatever the Lord enables you to give to his glory but it is as an investment that you place in the Lord as you share with his work he shares back to you 100 fold blessings on your family your home and upon you yourself to Lord bless your people now as they prepare to share their gifts you bless them the Lord with what they have they're so grateful that they're overjoyed to share with your word by good and for the work of your glory in Jesus lives early in his life after receiving a match the best Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice from Alabama State University he served as a juvenile probation officer in Chicago's Cook County your your peer mentor from I literally get my prayer metal from an old lady in Alabama by the name of mother Davis I met her at a grocery store that is only in the South Piggly Wiggly how many all I've ever heard of Piggly Wiggly anybody raising a hand they from down south and we met this lady named mother Davis who literally taught us how to pray they were a group of college students and she literally taught how to press for hours hours she taught us levels of Prayer she taught us how to build up our vocabulary she taught us spiritual warfare she taught us how your tongues will change based upon what you're about to go into and I am here as a result of the mantle of Prayer in the lobby you'll see the scars to press cars I literally now have prayer twice a month at four o'clock in the morning and I never forget when God told me to start prayer at four o'clock I was like and I start singing an old school zone just the two of us but to my surprise the first prayer meeting over a hundred people showed up and because because it's been consistent which means that it has never been cancelled if it rain if it's sleet if it's know even if it's below zero we still make it to the House of Prayer and we've seen it grow it from 800 that we average between three to five hundred people at 4:00 a.m. prayer now due to technology thousand to me and from around the world I watched me we expect you to pray but nobody taught you how to pray even the Bible says that he told the disciples the disciples asked him teach us how to pray one of the things that's so amazing to me is that I come here and I ain't met a friend in college he was literally my best friend we literally walked through Alabama stick together he was the best man in my wedding and he's a member of your church afonso dick doctor I'm sorry doctor Alfonso Davis can you just stand over there come on man stand up he'll do nothing in your church and I hate active I've been asking him what do you do in the church but he's an amazing man of God he's the best man at my wedding we've been friends for I'm 55 he's much older than me very close to me in my way and I'm grateful for friendship coming I know that you need friendships you need relationships you need a village and make sure that you can have people that are in your life for years don't be a revolving door that every three two years you revolve friends check yourself if you have your Bible Cisco let's go to 1st Samuel the first chapter we're gonna go to the first chapter and then we're gonna skip over to the third chapter there is a word from the Lord and today and today's sermon is entitled for this 11 o'clock service there was another service sermon that he gave me for the eighth there was another one that he gave me yesterday for the prayer breakfast but for this 11 o'clock service the sermon title is the oil carrier the oil carrier and many of you all need to understand that God is surrounding you with somebody who has the oil hmm you cannot be around dry people you can't be around dead people one of the risk one of the the rules of being a Nazarite was number one you couldn't cut your hair number two you couldn't drink but the main thing that I look at you couldn't touch anything be because watch me when you have greatness in you you don't need to be around dead stuff and for many of you all God is literally beginning to change your circle to put you around creativity put you around other dreamers because some of y'all you were like Joseph you had a dream but you told it to the wrong person you told it to people they don't have dreams they have nightmares and because you spoke you're drinking the Bible says and his brothers hated him the more but I came to let you know that God's about to change your circle mmm it's a matter of fact many of you all are in the section where the oil is flowing right now I need you to make sure you around some kind of grease somewhere come on let you touch a neighbor say the oil is right here the oil is right here if you don't mind let's read three scriptures in 1st Samuel 1 and 28 it says this and this is Hannah talking to Eli the priest she says so now I give him to the Lord I give him to the Lord if you don't mind can you just nudge your neighbor tell him you've been released for his whole life he will be given over to the Lord and the Bible says and he worship the Lord there sly let's go to the 3rd chapter the 3rd chapter and then let's go to the 10th verse and the Bible says something so amazing the Lord came and stood there and calling as he had all the times samuel samuel then samuel saying speak for your servant is listening how many of you all know that God's ready to do a new thing in your life if your hands I say speak speak speak for your servant is listening then God answered and said something that mess me up and I need some of y'all to prepare for what's about to happen in your life and the Lord said this time you'll see I'm about to do something in you hood in your city in your house in your family among your village I'm about to shut the game down and when I set it down it will make the ears of everyone who hears about it tingle I need you to let your neighbor say you about to shut the game down I know this good for some of y'all I need you to say it though I need you to say it I need you to say it just the way I a lady by the name of Hannah please listen the Bible says that Hannah was married to a man but she here two eyes that's not scriptural so don't try to go get you another okay so the Bible says that the other one had kids but Hannah did not happen but regardless of what she did not have watch me he gave her double portion so that when she went into of God who worship was more than the one that had which means that some of y'all don't have but your worship is louder than those that have watch me you gotta hear me watch me and those that have I trying to figure out why you got so much smoke come over here because your answer is in your worship come over here see you got it normal but imma get it in the spirit watch me and the Bible says that when she began to worship here's a line that watch me the Lord closed in other words what you have in your hand there's nothing wrong with you there is absolutely nothing wrong with your body you are qualified for it but God got it shut up for right now which means that you cannot begin to feel as if you're not qualified or begin to second-guess yourself I'll say well I'm not smart enough well you know what I like this there is nothing wrong with you it's just on hold for right now watch me in every delay is gonna be to your benefit god I wish I was in the people in the building with some spiritual people I say every delay is about you never have a watch me so the Bible says all rival would provoke her everyday so some of you are you don't have it yet but your warfare is no joke you have people that come against you in every way that they can and watch me watch me watch me listen to this her warfare was not outside the temple it was in the temple which means that God will even allow an enemy to sit right up in here to try to shut you down from getting what you supposed to have watch me this one you got to be careful who you sit next to based on what you hold it watch me you gotta worry cuz it's somebody that's gonna begin the judge who shout in your screen and they gonna say but I don't think that it take all that it can I tell you something you don't think that it take all of that because you already got what you want just need somebody that can help you to travail with what you believe that God's gonna do for you and I came to let you know I'm a tiny person that God sent me in the middle of the year to tell you that you're gonna deliver before the year is out I need you to make sure you got another carrier next to you and I need you to lean on your names Oh Oh God says it everything that's for what you find me they're always looking for me cuz they can see that the hand of God is on your life this is one when you get a job you start at the bottom and the top side hatin look at here why cuz you've it is when he's weaned his mother takes him and releases him to the priests you won't be able to be raised back based on who you shall become so I'm gonna have to release you in the hands of somebody who can hold your future y'all not hear me and that's why some of y'all are in this building because some people couldn't handle who you shall become so that release you in the hands of somebody who could hold not just your present but your future I wish West angeles members in this building understood who you got in your corner can you do me a favor if you know you in the right place at the why was that my family close to me God had to keep them a distance from you because had they gotten close to you they would have treated you the way that jokesters family treated him and God didn't want you to be stripped I didn't want you to be thrown and God didn't want you to be soda so he kept certain people around you but he puts you around other people who can make sure that they can speak it to your purpose and speak into your destiny I need you to I'm crying about who gonna and I need you to start rejoicing about who God has in your life I need you to start crying about stop read about who quits you inside rejoicing about who shall come in your life now let me explain that let me explain it looking for this on a journey of something you've been released to suppose that you've been released from your family you've been released from your family so so so so I am a product of teenage pregnancy my parents at the age of 16 or 17 my mother got pregnant and back then they made them get married so my parents end up getting married and then my father became a black Hebrew changed his name from Roscoe to Yehuda Ben Yama Judas spell that I can't okay and so he ended up in jail on murder he and then when he got out he was a consistent he smoked weed every day and I remember forget I had daddy issues I wanted to be around my father and then one day she released me to go see my father and so what he did was he opened up some some marijuana rolled a joint and say I am going to teach you how to inhale come on here and what he begin he said open your mouth I'm going to give you what it's called a shotgun I'm going to breathe it in you you're gonna inhale it and then you're gonna release it come over here but what he didn't know is that I had been marked see what he was trying to do was to pass on generational curses but I say listen I'm not gonna let you mess up his future cuz I've already haven't expected in for him so what I didn't realize is that God literally kept me away from my father please listen I never forget when I graduated from eighth grade he said I'll be there I'll be there son he didn't show up and then he said when I graduate from high school I'll be there he didn't show up when I graduate from college I'm gonna try a little bit my I'll be there he didn't show up when I got married he said shine I'll be there he didn't show up and one day I was crying because he'd never showed up and the law said no no I need you to wipe your tears he didn't show up because I kept from you cuz when I gave him an opportunity to hold you he didn't handle you right it's some of y'all I need you to rejoice y'all I hand me that God help you from even some of your family and your friend I need you to get delivered from the spirit of abandonment and rejection do me a favor reach around you touch three people and say you've been released you've been released you've been released you were released you've been released you've been released you've been released you've been released you're not gonna be like them you're not gonna grow up like them your children will never go through what you've been through your children would never see some of the stuff you saw you have a whole nother environment as a matter of fact nobody would ever believe that you grew up the way that you grew up cuz you don't even have any of the residue on you I wish I had somebody in the middle but it took a guard to get you out of your job and the reason I don't like something out cuz you sit here like your bloodlines so squeaky clean but I need to come and tell you that alcoholism is in your bloodline drug addiction is in your bloodline illiteracy is in your bloodline dysfunction is in your bloodline but when it came to you hanging about is centered I mean you are marked and as it was coming through your bloodline when it got to you it had to step over you which means that you'll never suffer the way they suffer can I give you a revelation you're not going to even down with what they died from did you hear what I just said you're not gonna even die from what they died from why cuz you've been marked and released let me hear your worship for 10 this that had a marriage that taught me how to treat my wife it was men like this that taught me how to go up in worship it was me why are you crying about who's not there I need you to realize where you need to get up under somebody who can perceive when that's about to grow you up when God's about to trust you with your own worship we're not about to trust you watch me some of y'all are still dependent on the praise team in the band but when you've been mature than God you don't need a praise see you don't need a band all you need is a memory bank cuz when I think of the goodness of Jesus I'm trying to get my mark people I'm trying to get my mark people I want to see mark praise right here forgive me for a minute but I feel appraised for a comment I need you to praise God they he got you out I need you to praise God then he marks you I need you to praise God that he puts you around the right people on the count of three before I go I need you all I need you to praise God that he Samuel please listen he's the only one only one in the Old Testament that holds three positions he's the only one that hold three positions so even when he was running the Eli there was only so much that Eli could tell him cuz Eli was only a priest and this down through the years you've had no points of reference you had nobody to run to because no there if you have done in your in your culture in your village have been able to do what you've done so you've had great cloud of witnesses he's the only one that was a judge which means that you anointed that when I have a problem and I sit at your feet God has given you the words to speak peace to traumatic situations that when you open your mouth you spoke with them you told people what to do and how to do it and you didn't even know how to do it but gods hope that thing through you without the education without even reading a book and many people have come to you and you have been their judge to give them wise counsel and for some of you all the oil of the judge is about to be released on you this is why your co-workers always running to you asking you for your advice because God's ready to release the oil of wise counsel on you this is why even your family come running to you because they come and sit at your feet watch me they're older you're younger but they respect the oil that is on your life touch your neighbor tell him you anointed for this let's go i sat there and I laugh he says in the next voice Chico here is Bishop I just thought laughing he came back I said that's not what you laughing it because you never cuz I called you Bishop white sure I see yes sir cuz I'm a prophet you've spoken prophetic words to so many you can't even remember some of the people that God has used you to speak into and even for those of you have any question have ever come in this building and he preached a word that shut you down you changed your whole life company beyond I've ever come in here and it's like he had a camera in your house watching every move you made and when you came in the building you were like oh my god that was a prophetic side of him right there and some of y'all in the building I need you to hear me he's about to put a word in your belly he's about to put a word in your mouth watch me that you're gonna be getting to speak things that you've never even known if your hands in worship God for the oil right there we sit down for the oil give me a favor you could take the jar from him how dare you how dare you let me come in here and get what she's supposed to get how dare you not honor the
