run down not to the point you ain't really nothing for the Youth to do it's really pushing the youth to the streets at this point first music Kevin Gates was making and he blew up on he made it right there what the fit is here if you ain't a man you ain't gonna survive down here A whole lot of houses and got told now and I can't even show you I didn't forgot them it was duh [Music] [Music] hey what's going on guys it's a beautiful day out here in Louisiana I miss my good people they're going to show you their Hood yeah it's all Baton Rouge yeah I'm in the top right now we're on the legendary block east Boulevard I don't really like coming up here too much because I got a lot of people that died down here we're up here Bebop gray hair big Wayne you know rest in peace rest in peace he got he got he had died up the street yeah I mean you're viewed out about 50 Summers no accusing shout out to Lee Banks you hear me posted up right over the rapunition get that in that truck see you again all right but look yeah murder East Boulevard murder makes a million East Boulevard that Peak for yourself it's a strip out on that way they gentrifying right now we're in the top we're gonna work our way down to the bottom we just gonna show y'all some sights of you know where we come from basically with that Johnny liquor store I'm talking about that they were probably the most popping block on the boulevard back in the game but I remember when this rolling my people used to send me up here posted up I used to come get money from they used to pop me out because who my dad is that's where another legend died at Old School named Bebop we got a lot of diet up here dog you hear me be active that's all I got to say you have to be on bike he on the bike getting it in yeah artists you make wouldn't change him in the whole Hood right just boost the bad ass to have one Kevin Gates and had one if you out there four you didn't have one and you if you if you know what you you know what I'm saying you know it's him you could be from another Hood you probably want you to win anything change yeah Wayne Dane he one of the people that make the hood look better because like a lot of these run down abandoned buildings he take his time and paint them up like he did this here he really like try to uplift the community all up toe down run down buildings he'd take his time and his money and go buy a paint and he just you know paint it up makes you look better so it won't look so run down around here because he tried to take him to Pride in his blocks barely in there this was abandoned when we was kids when we was young coming up man everything was open until everything was live all these stoves and [ __ ] you see that's closed down it was just get down here you see that brick building that's a barber shop they had the barber shop over across the street you got two three stunk Corner stoves you got Jamaica man all this kind of new these are the projects they redoed them and turned them they turned it to like Alumni Center they used to be McKinley Middle they burnt that down some of the kids burnt that down with some fireworks you ain't really nothing for the Youth to do it's really pushing the youth to the streets at this point because everything gone it's like we ain't really got too many eateries that's black owned down here everything that's black on they really didn't let go or even burned down or beef and Coast should get closed down all these shootings and you know [ __ ] like that and the young people that came and tried to catch up with it either went to jail or people getting killed off we outside four-way barber shop in the top on Eddie Robinson Street Eddie Robinson he coached the Grambling State a lot of litters that came out they had a kid here a lot of Legends could have Cleo Fields people like that come through we're pretty pretty decent place because if I wouldn't have been working I'd probably never would have met them I just barber shop in here all my life man yeah you gotta swerve through and check it out they got their bottom but when you're a real full baby you out there folk yeah yeah you know how to know in the hood turn up you already know it arrives hey you talking bro I mean this Expressway Park and top of the south of Baton Rouge your hair man that's I-10 right there that take you from all the way from the east coast to the West Coast hey we playing 21 three on three four four whatever play football over there basketball one ball I'm talking about you got to be a real man to come out shop I ain't no lip bars playing I'll chill real talk you got to be about your business anywhere you're going south Baton Rouge really from a swimming pool to the basketball courts football anything High School you got to be about your business if you ain't a man you ain't gonna survive down here all the way you're gonna survive in South Baton Rouge and you ain't bout your business you gotta have some family members down here we're gonna cover your other than that oh yeah they got some beef around this but at the same time probably as CJ then be like I got you next time you know what I'm saying it's like but you know I'm saying they really family my dad and his dad and be partners and then we'll come up and not know that they cool they will be beefing don't know but we could be beefing it just I like me and him me and it made me friends since high school and come to find out we get grown our family members intertwine so like this everybody know everybody around here it's my real cousin cousin but people say that's my cousin yeah that's that's how they go on this in the hood you'll be in each other's neck damn we're going to Club up and the whole South come together like me and you would be beefing but we'll see each other in the club and we're gonna stick together tonight and we're gonna bang it out with the rest of the evening when we get back in the hood it's up type yeah that's life it is crazy but I love this chair really from now hold on it's tatted on me put it on that town real uptown baby yeah it's honest yeah try to get that if you don't got this in blood then we almost can't rip it on the East Boulevard East Boulevard right there used to hoop in that gym that gym gunshots ringing off in the gym they killed my cousin in that jump 2016. we on Washington Street this is the halfway bar all this South Baton Rouge we still in South Baton Rouge but if you're on that side you on the bottom half of South Baton Rouge which is considered the bottom if you on this side you on the top half of South Baton Rouge what's considered up time some people call it the top just consider Foodtown right here fig Street past three you got Brooks pool on the back street you get this building right here this bottom line This Way Kevin Gates started it it's a barbershop now first music Kevin Gates was making that he blew up on he made it right there him and Gus the beat maker because [ __ ] my Beats started right there check them out on Instagram at just make my Beats g-u-s-s make my Beats the building we stand in the front of this snowflakes this one of the best eating places in Baton Rouge you could have ever ate from I'm talking about I don't know why they close this McDonald's grocery I'm talking about everything red beans burgers they really they really letting the hood go but this one's got some memories for this pretty much where everything started there for me I'm right y'all off this back street on the black Corner Store I don't know that's open today just they just put that they just build them up matter of fact that's Wags they got another one on the corner uh government on government with this Eddie Robinson if you want fast food you can go down Highland Road down by LSU and they got all type of you know like fast food places but if you really want some soul food we don't really have much of that down here all right let's go this this building we stand in front of snowflakes this probably was one of the best and longest lasting soul food places around and so and after they left the soul food left we gotta try you a distance now if you want some good food I don't hear the [ __ ] know how to cook better than the [ __ ] like we're gonna we're gonna do us we're gonna season that right we're gonna chop the green onions up the bell peppers Island like like we some real chefs yeah like you'll be like man they know how to cook like that like yeah we put our food in there yeah man because at the end of the day it's about surviving so if you can't cook for yourself how you want this to taste you ain't no Survivor you know what I'm saying you got to depend on somebody else so with that being said you gotta do what you got to do you got to make this [ __ ] you gotta make this old lady my grandma raised me so I'm not definitely know how to cook I'm nine years old moms trying to see how you do that I know I need to know how to do this but like you got Creole in our blood you know all this [ __ ] so we diverse with this [ __ ] I'm talking about catfish Scooby on not just cooking bacon like there it is up king cakes beignets we cook our eggs out that's really right here but I love Louisiana period because you got the best food that's why I obesity rate so high so high obesity right through the roof down here cause the food whatever that dude name is John Williams he came down here and got his weight up yeah somebody Williamson the basketball player look how slim he came to Louisiana look how big he didn't got yeah that's that food they got people traveling the world to come to Louisiana just to try out food when I was a kid my grandma cooked breakfast lunch and dinner now that we grown boy you lucky to get us a Sunday meal yeah we got a place called Piccadilly I don't know how far around the world Piccadilly but Piccadilly a nice little um like a Soul Food Spot nicely restaurant but then we don't have none of them close we'll have to drive 20 30 minutes to get the one of those shout out little Kent we just left them up there by your house but we're looking for you but shout out to Kent Ken know [ __ ] we used to go steal off his mom a refrigerator and take it down the street to my grandma house and cook it and get eyes whooped but we're gonna do it again tomorrow yeah man this would be like five minutes away from LSU so [ __ ] that's the best thing about the soul like yeah I mean you can really go through by LSU and see some whole different that most ain't been seeing all each other yeah man LSU that's one place if you won't get out the hood for a second that's five minutes away and you'll feel like you're out the hood for a second real talk like that's a whole nother ball game when you step on that campus hold another vibe you can go up there chill people friendly as [ __ ] like when they had games and they tailgate man people out there just like hey you hungry they just see you walking you hungry you want something to drink like Southern Hospitality a [ __ ] down here real told but like when you're not in the hood and when it's not game day yeah I mean they ain't lying like they ain't racist like how this used to be but you know they [ __ ] with us when they [ __ ] with us you know they had the game they're in a good mood they finna bless us you hear me right yeah totally like you ain't super racist down here but it's still whatever the [ __ ] you call this is you an LSU student I say just stay on your side I don't know you don't really needn't even coming to Hood don't do that but unless you trying to get you something you know what I'm saying they might put you in the hood I don't know you know what I'm saying trying to you on the edge trying to get some liquor that's the only time I really see a college student coming down here they might be trying to turn a tea up there right now we're in front and what it's the hottest throw on the Block what up Mo Ginger Ghetto Superstar she been around Long gives me probably even longer she ain't from around here but she snout everybody know her I knew I knew him 10 years before he went home yeah you know hey make sure y'all follow me on next round at that boy understood new music coming soon you know shout out my [ __ ] stacks and cold you got some push already to that elevation hey we got we got jungle who that we got hey man this place is not that famous Tyler I need a good camera my Pop's house this this right [ __ ] this book Street you know what I'm saying it's East book street it's the either side it's the Wild Side wild side either side of the stand you know we understood don't have the biggest man you get this yeah but that's how that [ __ ] is so like I was saying earlier a lot of abandoned houses this house went abandoned a couple of years ago a lot of people dying out they people ain't doing it with it whole lot of it when I was younger I'm talking about artists with straight houses they got a whole lot of houses and got told now and I can't even show you I didn't forgot them that's how really it is you can kiss me in the school zone with my McKinley blue on with a tool under the hair you you you and you gone yeah this McKenna Panthers here and we this is the first High School in Louisiana or I'm gonna say the southern region you hear me what I believe should come like you know what I'm saying you can come to school and get education my grandmother came to this she said she said they had people coming from our love you know what I'm saying like Mississippi and Texas and just to come to school a lot of successful people came from this terrorist time is cleophus Kevin Gates [ __ ] me landlord I went to this right chill they had Mr Brown with the principal like our class with the 2013 Players surprised to be thugging time about typing on his lunch break he gonna take off and ride around the hood he catch you walking around the hood are you supposed to be on school campus he's snatching your ass up he gonna treat you like his own child like before he just put you out of school he gonna give you an option like you know you can come highlight me in this office for a little second here let me get your little issue or you can take your days once they stop right there everybody know Brown McKinley always been a magnet program like this is one of the best schools in the in the district pretty much McKinley High she got a lot of hood people here but they got a a magnet program so we had a lot of foreign students like people really people coming to this people really came here because this is the place to be the place to be I don't know they had some nice teachers like I ain't gonna learn some shout out to miss Channing Mr Hilton Miss Tebow um and I can't think of the uh the health teacher name but that was my dog too it's the gym right here a lot of things that [ __ ] used to hoop for this you know I'm saying I ain't never go to the game when you go but we used to do his [ __ ] in that [ __ ] there on Milburn Tyrus Thomas Tyrus Thomas play for the Bulls I ain't gonna lie shout out to Tyrus Thomas he had a program I was in that like the summer before my ninth grade he go to that every summer you're gonna feed us we're gonna make sure we gonna teach us some tickets on the trip at the end of the summer the Six Flags so like do
