WEEKEND IN MÜRREN: Top 10 things to do in Murren – Schilthorn Piz Gloria, Thrill Walk & More!

hey guys so we are in murren it is right in the middle of the bernies oberland it is very close to some other regions we've already shown you so it's very close to interlaken and love to brunette and grindelwald so right in the middle of that region but what's really special about murin is that it is quite high up in the mountains and it's really only accessible by a gondola or funicular so there's no cars here which i think is really really nice so travel light you're going to be taking a gondola to get up here but once you're here you are so close to visiting some beautiful mountains so stay tuned to the video we're going to take you to the pete's gloria and the bond world to show you all around this beautiful village and everything else you can do while you're here hey guys so today we are going to muran and miran is a cute little village in the swiss alps one particularity is that you cannot drive there so you have to leave the car we're in a parking lot in the valley and then take gondola up the mountain and then you have a little train up the mountain but no cars there which will also you'll see make a beauty of neon so we are here taking the chilton ban you can also take the grit sharp i think ban or the the gondola in lauterbrunnen and then take a train and we'll show you all of this in this video so let's get into it [Music] [Music] literally just just across yes all right part two [Music] [Applause] okay so we just got to urine so we'll do this later you can go up to pete's gloria but for now we are going to walk just there which is our hotel that's so so perfect location yeah and beautiful view yes i think everywhere in here all right this is our little room which is mostly i think for the balcony and the view and nice we have one balcony and quite some wow yeah that's not the little view anyway and we are right next to the the pizza gloria chilton ban so we can enjoy going there quickly so we are walking in mulen pretty little village and it has amazing views on uh lots of yeah mountains especially on the other side of the valley there you go there is one i think this is the aiga they are super pretty in terms of views for the village and really nice uh to not have any cars this is a big plus look at this so we are going to take this little funicular that you can see over there apparently there's a little plateau but there's nice to see and this afternoon we'll go to pizz gloria and the chilton and we're going to take a few nico i think the phoenix leaves every 15 minutes and goes on top of another little mountains or hills so we'll see how it is [Music] if you want but it's kind of safe so if you don't have any discount it's almost nine francs of the down in the half fair card it was 440 francs 40. so not bad up and down i think i don't know if you really want to walk up this there's nice reviews obviously in the gloria but this is a nice place just to get a better view of the valley out here have a little picnic and enjoy meal and from above all right i was very quick it was like a four or five minute ride not even [Music] there's a nice uh kid's playground i like this um and beautiful views yeah almond double and there are different trails that uh start from here you can go down to mulen you can go to gruchalp which is on the other side over there uh it takes about two hours there's a flower trail also and uh now we're just going to find a cute place to have our little picnic so from almond you can see wengen over there that we have visited in another video and from wengen we went actually it was the train to i think what's here is kleine scheibeck or at least part of the path to go to the jungfrau and you can see the i think this is the aiga maybe the munch something like this and the young pal but yeah beautiful here on these mountains from high up here [Music] so we are in we are going to go up to uh the shield horn now to the pits gloria and this refers to this james bond which has shot actually just one movie maybe not the best george lesenbee who was uh over there going after bloodfelt so we're gonna go see bluffer than the james bond i'm excited okay so you have three stops on this we are here in mira almond hubula is actually where we were before on the funicular and there's two stops there's a top and then if you want to do the thrill walk you get off at this middle stop which i think will do and then all the double o seven stuff is at the top [Music] [Music] so just uh arrived in the pits gloria this is i'm just going to like film louie in here i could go eat away with james bond like i liked it when i was a kid sort of but not really but louie is a large fan so i think we're going to spend some time here and he's going to look at the exhibition [Music] i always wanted his dreams [Music] [Music] and there's and here we are on the shithorn it's called also in uh i think in james von pitts gloria so this is why everyone is calling it this way but the real name i think is [Music] and we can see the gondola that is going down [Music] so it's nice it gives you at all time the next departure so you know kind of when to time to go down but for now we have 15 minutes to enjoy this so we are now in and we are going to do the thrill walk so we are going for the thrill walk let's reach part of the thing do not leave the thrill walk which i don't think we'll want [Music] hello let's have some fun and some thrill wow you defaulted for this wow a real bond girl the thing is like once you're there you gotta get forward [Laughter] yeah i think so louie's a little big for this you can also just walk here so we are going to eat at the stage so let's get inside in our cute little stinger jubilee so this is in french la holly jews you can give me the first german part word in the comments this is what's basically grills there for the whole time and it is just so amazing and crispy so just telling you that you should not leave this behind you should eat it and alexis will okay good morning so we digested our fondue maybe had some crazy fun dude dreams and we're awake so we're planning what we're going to do today it's a little bit overcast but honestly as far as it goes in the mountains it isn't so bad so i'll show you what the weather looks like but i think what we're going to do is we're going to take the gondola down so where we are in urine is a little bit higher in altitude we're going to take the gondola down get our car and we're going to head to the back fella they are glacial waterfalls that you can access by going inside of a mountain i don't exactly know how to describe it so hopefully the footage we get does it justice but it's very very cool very unique it was one of the first things i visited we first moved to switzerland about a year and a half ago so excited to go back in october and share this yeah with you guys all right we're gonna get our car and head to some waterfalls so to go back to gimmelwald and then stachelberg it is uh i think every 20 minutes so every 55 and 25 at least in the summer so we have our suitcases and we are waiting to have a scenic ride down [Music] okay we were back in the car louie just paid it was 11 um to park it overnight which i think is fine and really reasonable so we are headed now to the tommelbach fella we have a car so we're gonna drive there but if not you can take there's a post bus stop at the station just there that we got down from the uh gondola so you could take the post bus through the tunnel valley you could take it to lobster poon and all the way to the station also so the good news about switzerland is if you don't have a car there's always public transportation options but we just happen to have a car this weekend we usually don't drive but we're headed now to the tomobak villa and we will show you when we get there yeah so if you don't have a car there's a post bus stop right here this is where the bus leaves you and then you'll see this big time and that's where you're headed so you can see we are now here we're going to take the funicular to halfway to two thirds of the way and you have all the different waterfalls inside so we are going almost like vertical maybe you might not see it in the camera but this is extremely steep [Music] [Music] it's extremely loud in here with the waterfall so you might not hear me but if you do it's got to be at least 10 15 degrees colder in here um then the temperature outside far on ice because the the water is like ice so dress a little warmer than you would if it's gonna be outside
