AND NEAR THE SHORE. >>> THIS WEEKEND CONTINUES THE COOL WEATHER PATTERN WE HAVE BEEN IN FOR SEVERAL DAYS. BUT IT IS NOT GOING TO LAST A LOT LONGER. YOU SEE THAT WITH THE TEN DAY TEMPERATURE OUTLOOK FOR CONCORD, ONE OF THE SPOTS THAT WILL SEE SOME OF THE WILDEST SWINGS ON THE TEMPERATURE ROLLER COASTER. TEN DEGREES BELOW AVERAGE TODAY AND TOMORROW. THEN TEMPERATURES RETURN CLOSER TO NORMAL LEVELS MONDAY AND THEN WE HAVE A BIG SPIKE TUESDAY ONWARD WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 90s TUESDAY AND STAYING IN THE 90s THROUGH NEXT WEEK. WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT RECORD SETTING HEAT ACROSS THE AREA BUT INLAND PARTS OF THE BAY AREA ARE GOING TO BE EXPERIENCING REALLY MORE TYPICAL JULY TEMPERATURES ONCE WE GET PAST THIS WEEKEND AND FURTHER INTO NEXT WEEK. IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE LOOKING AHEAD TO MAYBE ANOTHER REVERSAL, A TREND BACK TOWARDS COOLER THAN AVERAGE, THINK AGAIN. WE WILL NOT BE REVERSING THAT TREND SOON. ABOVE NORMAL IN THE SIX TO TEN DAY OUTLOOK FROM THE CLIMATE PREDICTION CENTER AND 8 TO 14 DAY FROM THE SAME AGENCY SHOWS THIS. WE HAVE FOG BACKING UP QUICKLY, ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE COAST TOWARDS NOON. ALONG THE COAST IT WILL BE TOUGH TO SHAKE BUT WE SHOULD SEE PLENTY SUNSHINE IF YOU ARE HEADING TO THE GIANTS GAME AGAINST THE COLORADO ROCKIES. BREEZY CONDITIONS, LAYER UP. TEMPERATURES WILL REACH TO THE LOW 60s WHICH IS FOUR OR FIVE DEGREES BELOW NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. SIMILAR CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED FOR THEIR LAST GAME BEFORE HEADING TO THE ALL STAR BREAK TOMORROW. LET'S LOOK AT HIGH TEMPERATURES COMPARED TO WHAT'S NORMAL FOR EARLY JULY. 60s AROUND THE BAY, 70s INLAND. FIVE DEGREES BELOW NORMAL NEAR THE WATER AND CLOSER TO TEN DEGREES BELOW AVERAGE FURTHER INLAND. 60 ALONG THE COAST. DOWN THE PENINSULA, UPPER 60s TO AROUND 70. LOW TO MID 70s FOR MOST OF THE SANTA CLARA VALLEY WHEN YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE LOW TO MID 80s, JUST APPROACHING 80 AROUND MORGAN HILL AND GILROY. FAR INLAND, EAST BAY, GETTING TO AROUND 80. IN SAN FRANCISCO AND EAST SIDE OF THE BAY, OAKLAND, BERKELEY REACHING THE 60s, MOSTLY 70s FOR NORTH BAY, MID AND UPPER 70s UNTIL YOU GO FURTHER NORTH. EVEN INLAND MENDOCINO AND LAKE, SPOTS THAT ARE USUALLY HOTTER, ONLY GETTING MAYBE CLOSE TO 90. IF YOU ARE HEADING DOWN TO TAKE IN THE U.S. WOMEN'S OPEN AT PEBBLE BEACH, TEMPERATURES ARE AROUND 60 ALONG THE COAST WHICH IS PRETTY MUCH WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT THIS TIME OF YEAR TODAY AND TOMORROW. THE SEVEN-DAY FORECAST SHOWS THE WARM UP IN STORE NEXT WEEK. THAT IS TEMPERATURES AROUND THE BAY RETURNING TO THE 70s IN SAN FRANCISCO, EVEN CLOSE TO 80 IN OAKLAND BY THE END OF THE WEEK. WARM UP MORE NOTICEABLE INLAND WITH 80s AND EVEN SOME SPOTS APPROACHING 90 FOR THE NORTH BAY THURSDAY WITH 90s MORE WIDESPREAD INLAND AND EAST BAY. USUAL HOT SPOTS
