have you noticed how terrible cilantro has been at the grocery store recently yeah I bought some today it was completely wilted it just why you buy it was gross looking is that crazy or what oh the cilantro you could want have a whole cilantro Garden I just so I was so frustrated when I came out here and saw it I was like oh my gosh it looks so beautiful there there's your $150 back oh thank you do you want more than that so here's my question is that that's from seed right that's what I think I don't think it's from Plants I think it reeded it did Reed and came back up and it just came up as early as it could possibly come up yeah so we could have planted it like eight weeks ago Oh Yeah from seed or even longer then my Deal's finally coming up I didn't plant it I knew it would receed itself and look at the beautiful cilantro so pretty smells amaz one of your favorite things right is yeah I've been loving it and with tacos and stuff I put on everything I love it who would do that a kid kid maybe a dog a kid that didn't know that it was something I didn't want to pull UPA this whole all the way down and then that whole bed over there is colilla there's a lot left but there's a lot all these got pulled up and all these These are still looking good but these are someone pulled those up and then there's PL coming up all over really all over the garden anywhere I planted it last year I think this is parsley that somehow got planted here yeah how did that happen I have no idea I didn't grow parsley like that last year some kid has been Grilla gardening they have in your yard you get ready to leave yeah I'm getting ready to leave with kids my work week is over getting ready to leave with kids take kids to the farm some of the kids though because some of the kids were staying because Bri has a big weekend he said can I come you're coming he heard the farm he was like can I come it's all the boys and truly all the boys and truly tru's going with all the boys um so I had planned months ago A friend of mine has a baby shower this weekend some people are coming into town from out of town for that so they're staying here at my house and I'm very excited about it and then the girls had various commitments that they'd already had too I didn't even notice that here M oh my goodness that's so pretty your dad is the king of making things beautiful I won't tell your friends that I did it I'll tell them you did I'm teasing you you can pretend it was you you want to see can you name all of those uhhuh I actually can't time oregano uh thato cilantro mint beautiful huh isn't that pretty it is so pretty could you get me some milk to eat I like your little voses I know I like they're called Bud bases and I keep them around it just stick stuff in so pretty that was funny because I actually was saying pretend you just noticed and then you looked around you were like what you hadn't you actually hadn't noticed noticed it good acting I love it no that makes no you're not an actor I'm a terrible actor as we all know um I can't hide nothing so that makes me so happy immensely happy and you wiped it all down all right we're going to go we might just pass them in the driveway you probably will it's pooring rain do you want to wait a second maybe a second just wait a second it's like literally just start pouring plus I mean it's like going sideways let's see the rain look at the rain oh it's so nice what are we going to do with that kid he's protecting his mud puddle from the rain does make try you want your jacket on get your jacket on warm though it is it is love you too see you byebye love you okay we're here back to the farm and we have an awesome surprise this shouldn't really be that big of a surprise the time's all right uh so the cows have been off the pasture for the winter they've been in the barn they have almost 1,000 square ft down there so I haven't paid a lot of attention to them I'm just throwing them hay usually three times a week um keeping them in minerals and water can you open that heavy door watch out baby baby it's heavy watch out here don't let's not drop it we're trying to be quiet all right here we go I haven't I saw the cows um two days ago there's no I was here yesterday and there was three cows but there's four how many cows are there today four four cows you going to throw him some hey did you see the baby yet yeah is that so exciting all right it's really dark in here but let me see if I can get a picture there is mommy cow um one year-old heer bowl and the baby is right oh the baby's right there can you see it can you see it I can see the back of it okay so I'm going to the the calf is dry it's been born a long time so I'm going to just leave them it looks great but I don't even know if it's male or female yet I'm just going to leave it for now and then what I'll do is I'll feed him hey in the morning on the far end where the windows are and we'll take a really good look at the calf I'll probably go in there this evening but it's just it's so dark except for on that one end and we got to cook supper because groceries to unload supper to cook and then bedtime really soon for the babies so my friends just got here you may know them you may not know them and if you don't this is Jess she has a channel called roots and refuge It's amazing And The Farmer's Table you still doing that okay and this is Kelly um they're at Better Together life I think it's Homestead now I'm sorry we we've gotten very icial lately so now it's better together home see I only think of you as Better Together wife I know it did go really well and I would not do this part of the video Justice without showing you what just brought me um there's nothing like being friends with people that grow their own food because they know that I appreciate homegrown food yes freshly chopped kale and asparagus they brought me a kale bouquet and three dozen eggs and more asparagus than I can hold in one hand three lbs of butter two a gallon of milk a g two gallons of milk various animals one cow one go we've got beets we've got carrots we've got green onions let me just turn around you don't look at me we have be and Ruda and now there's all that asparagus Arthur is so sad he loves asparagus he will be sad that he missed that and carrots purple [Music] carrots what kind oyster mushrooms that you grew oyster mushrooms T and those are freeze red so they have a little thing in them to keep them so they will actually con reconstitute more like they're fresh so like you can put sauces and stuff and it's really nice but you got to keep the lid on closed because it's got that little moisture oxygen thing in it yeah right and then we have peach sauce actually it's jam it she thought it wasn't going to conal but it's jam it did conal it's jam and I already opened it and tasted it and it was delicious figure it out okay I forgot to film this if I grew one of these I would feel like I was the best Gardener in the world I mean there's just certain things that like you've like okay for me I've eaten so many things fresh off a tree or fresh out of the ground right but there are certain things that I've never even seen growing and artichoke is one of them and you brought me one that you like harvested like two and a half hours ago it's true so we're we're eating this even if we make it at midnight tonight and we're just like having a little snacky snack I'm glad you're excited about it because you know that feeling when you're like I grew this I it's an order joke it's not a carrot well carrots can be hard it's not K easy everyone can grow kale you know what we did have to go through the plants and pick the kale leaves that didn't have bugs on them it's that time it's that time of year I can't wait to try this I'm really excited all right we have to go we have big plans for our girls night so peace out being at the camper is both awesome and it's kind of overwhelming it's like this place this Farm has been it's kind of been my safe place it was our first home and it's one of the only places I felt just really like it's ours mine safe it's also overwhelming though coming back to the camper and like cooking and trying to make it a home for the weekend for the kids so it's both painful to look around at like wow this is the life we lost and but it's also still a place I love anyway it's I'm sure you can understand how that's challenging just trying to get all this food put away and we were having mac and cheese and maybe sausages and cucumbers for supper we're just really fast and simple because we got back here after 5 and normally we're eating at 5 so kids have been playing happily outside I don't even know what they're doing I just know the boys are watching the two babies I can see one baby there I can hear the other one they're just playing outside happily playing away you guys go wash your hands with soap okay okay here comes the mac and cheese I have a question for you guys and I have a question for YouTube channel viewers do you do you like homemade or box mac and cheese better box really this is a mix of both Grace loves box mac and cheese she likes that cheesy flavor that doesn't really taste like cheese truly is a carnivore her first choice is meat always always Lord thank you for this day and thank you for this evening just a small portion of the pasture the majority of it um I overgrazed last year and the year before and it looks like this just waiting a few more weeks at least I don't I don't know if we're going to keep this place but I've just I've done enough damage in my life in my relationships to my family it's like I don't want to keep hurting those same things so even though things are a mess and kind of a disaster I don't I don't I don't want to make anything worse and so my goal is to slowly move things towards better that doesn't mean dramatically fixing Everything at Once especially not out here I mean we may sell this place we're we still don't know which way we're going to go how that Mama blow on it Blow harder oh yeah good blowing Julie truie you just put on the 10-minute timer on Garden coming back just this little gift from last year's Garden the Garden is taking care of her and our cow's producing a beautiful little calf but it means a lot to me it's just a sign of Hope and and provision in our lives and I'm just thankful for that right now and for this beautiful day it's not that cold still feels warm hey look I want to show you this do you see this plant right here yeah do you know what this is called yeah it's called trout lily can you say trout lily you can eat this this one you can eat yeah it's actually pretty yummy try it and see if you like it I'm a rock climber I'm curious if they'll like this because it's really a little spicy do you want to try one try one it's real yummy it's like kale kind of yeah be careful man from the lad get and then climb got up you climbed all the way up hi bud you found your own perfect size Rock for you right is it fun yeah in woods we're in the woods yeah do you think an animal lives in that hole I think it's been
