We got PAID! - HIGH STAKES Fishing Tournament

whoa welcome back to another video everybody i'm actually done with this video and i'm filming the intro after the fact just got done at lake gaston right on the north carolina virginia border we actually just got done staying up there in a motel a very uh not super nice motel i will add but uh yeah we just got done up there and we just had a tournament and that's what you guys are about to fishing today and i will say that uh we managed to do a little bit of something something in this tournament so you're going to want to watch this thing all the way through this is definitely an action-packed video and it's going to be a good one i think a lot of you are going to enjoy it so let's go ahead hop on into it time to win this thing so i just got thumped on flute nice small spot he ate it but he's freaking running with it so quick when i set the hook i was like come on big and eat it not a little one big and eat it small spot wasn't it i seen him eat it too but he didn't have it all the way it's just too small they're eating it though which is good because hopefully get in front of a big one and they'll eat it too smaller i'm just hitting my tail i was just watching the fluke and then it just like it was floating down and then it just went like this and then i could feel it i like let it just like sink right in front of them oh yeah he's a 15 and a quarter all day that's keeper all day long baby first one in the box this one's gonna have to be cold out today but hey we'll take him for right now thank you wow that hurt that's the first thing largemouth i've caught on gaston honestly i kind of wish it was a spot because if i was a 15 inch spot he'd probably be super fat did you fix the whole section or just a small bit of it someone just grabbed me you still got it that's a keep yeah of course now i took one spot yesterday during practice and today i've caught two freaking largemouth let's keep booyah number two [Music] they like this thing i think i could probably catch just as many on a pink worm probably but if they're gorging on shad this might be the best thing i hope i have enough of these to last me through the day that is two fish in the box so far it is 7.50 not doing too bad they're just not the right ones those are small they've got to get out if we're gonna win that's for sure they're not gonna help too much the three pounder like that three pounder felt like a good one felt like a good one right off the end of that tree that is a good one oh god oh god oh god that's a big largemouth that's a big large mouth yes oh my gosh that's like a five and a half yeah oh that's not bacon oh that's a bacon oh that's a big dude i can't even hold it that's a big there you go first fish of the day make it count i guess hello let me see it turn it to the side yeah that's a big that's a five pounder that's five pounder [Music] that feels good i don't miss probably 20 fish this morning i ain't even caught this first one and that was the first one i get in the boat i'll take it thank you that one's definitely going to help that's for sure yes ma'am sure was pal baby it's a big spot i thought it was like a like a three pound spot yeah and i was like oh that's a large mouth that one's a pre-spawner i can tell you that right now you see how fat it is oh my gosh i got four more of those and we got 25 pounds winning recording yeah look at that five inch swim bait that's why i was like dude big i don't even know if he'll keep i don't think it will i don't think he's gonna make it but we'll see i'm trying to no he's about 13 and a half i'm gonna throw him back might be bigger hey i don't know hard to tell i felt was weight didn't feel a bite that's how they're eating this thing they're not like knocking it sideways it's just like they're just grabbing it it's probably just a small spot or something oh little spot i watched him eat it yeah for real tell me how this one gets hooked but then half the other ones that bite we can't even catch them that's crazy he hit it like a freaking freight train they're on these little wave walls too though i mean that's where they're at i mean i don't even think the fish are on the docks but like you know there's got to be at least like a spot or two suspended on this thing that was probably a good one they like this swim bait did you catch one here or did we just see that one right here i thought you did water was clear back there where we were in that cutting it is here i just had a bite yeah it was like look keeper yeah yeah it's keeper i think right in front of him boy i watched it just dude came out and ate it i hope this will teach i haven't even i've caught one spot all day another large mouth i think this one will keep too he's all over the line but we're putting him in there because he makes it with the tail swish yep oh yeah you're going in the box full that would be number four right there stretch a little bit too big digging digging get the net get the net big spot big spot get the net digging yes yes yes yes yes that's a good spot that's a good one too that's the first key that's a two pounder yes i thought he i thought he's a lot bigger than that on the outside same thing dude he hit it so hard like knocked slack in it completely yep i thought it was so much bigger than that you saw it in the water it looked big in the water didn't it moving back and forth i was like oh crap i mean it's still a two pound spot but i'm gonna put him on this side whether that's five fish now we start calling oh they're eating it dude good gosh yeah it'll definitely cool yeah it'll call that small one it should as long as it's a 14 and i'm pretty sure this one's like 15. yeah this one's way over 14. this one's like a 15 and a half this is the one that's barely 14. so let's just throw this one back first coal i say we cut across right there and if that doesn't work go somewhere else 152 yeah this one's a 174. this one's a 158 which is the 160. this is the small one about to catch the spot apartments we can either have one more big one or a couple decent ones that's gonna be the ticket green oh god oh god yes that's a cool look how yellow it is that's a good one that's over two pounds kyle yes dude yeah that's what we need right there and another coal no into the dock way out here bacon vegan bigot no that was him look skin up it's all right there's more he just didn't need it right that's all it was that was a good one yeah i don't know how big but i think it would have been probably three pounder i don't think it was a five yeah you took off two of the pinchers got one i don't know throw them on the scale real quick like smallest is probably like a 160 i think what's that one i don't know well how much is it reading what's the same 140. 232 you want to run back up in that cut before i called them too yeah we can let's go ahead and go that way we have plenty of time fish number one a little better [Music] is let me just dump the water yeah i feel like it [Music] oh that's the first one to scare let's go big 12.69 so big girl she's ready to go in the babies that's all she wrote appreciate every one of you thank you for y'all fishing especially on these cold days because i have picked three worst days a year man y'all look at the sponsors we got a lot of people here that fishes us that sponsors us without them we can't do it uh we picked up a couple of new ones and this guy here y'all check this guy who's louis before 16 years old making his own lures uh love y'all to go check him out let's restrict they got big fish for five hundred fifty dollars they carrying home six hundred and seventy dollars seventh place cones and denny they had seven plays they won 195. wagner and wagner going to bed with sixth place the job came fifth place it was crittenton and white think about your job man you don't care about them we're starting to amp up they take it home today farming and farming 1435 to win it 500 for terminal then tournament 1935 all right so that is a wrap on the 5 alive team trail tournament on lake gaston we ended up in fifth place out of 50 something boats it was either like 52 or 57 i can't really remember but we ended up in fifth place and uh that one fish i had at the end that came off on that creature bait would have done it for us we would have won the whole tournament but you know that's fishing i couldn't help that fish didn't stay pinned it just wasn't wasn't hooked good enough it was skin hooked and uh it's kind of what happens whenever you're fishing tournaments you never really know what's gonna happen but we're back home now we're away from the rain we're wearing the short sleeves not wearing that heavy rain gear anymore and uh it's definitely getting nicer around here fishing's getting good i hope you guys enjoyed this video i just wanted to go over a couple quick things real quick in the video i wanted to point out that as far as big fish goes we did miss big fish by .06 i believe is what it was it was either 0.06 or 0.07 um it was like less than an ounce we missed big fish by so that kind of hurt and we actually were .9 so almost a pound behind first place so if we would have had one fish that would have called out like our pound and a half fish if we would have like say a three pounder that would have given us a pound and a half upgrade that would have put us in first place so we just needed that one more bite honestly that's all we needed we were on three pounders in practice and uh none of those fish just really wanted to bite for us on tournament day but that's how it goes you guys saw that i was catching every single fish on a bait like this right here this is just a soft plastic jerkbait and i was just using a white pearl color throwing it on just a four alt hook pairing that up with my lose mach one combo right here and uh yeah this thing performed very well got some 20 pound test on here and with this rod right here i was able to catch that thing out there perfectly fine and uh this is what put those fish in the boat for me kyle and caught that big fish on a shaky head that was kind of just like a random bite we were catching a bunch of small spots right there in that section and then just bam he caught that big fish and then he also caught some of his fish on a texas rig i hope you guys enjoyed this one if
