WE GOT A WORKSHOP!! & MORE?!?!

welcome to fft's new workshop [Laughter] [Music] i am speechless sometimes welcome to the fft workshop officially neither and i have decided that it is time to get out of my parents garage and we are so thankful that they allowed me to be working in there for the last year and now we've got i don't even know how many times this space at least three times probably four times the space in here with our new ffc workshop this is incredible what we're going to be able to build in here it's so exciting and she said we just made the decision to get out of the garage but really we've been looking for a really long time or what seems and feels like a really long time i mean this whole journey's only been seven months so a long time you know we weren't looking seven months ago but definitely within the past couple of months we've been really really keeping our eye out and then this place came along it's been really tough to flip in the garage and this came along at the right time you guys know we've been um looking for a house you guys know that housing markets are crazy well it's no different with commercial buildings workshops things like that we happen to come across this well neiman came across it 39 minutes after it was posted it was a funny story but i messaged him on my account and it was maybe usually what i do is i film i'll run a time lapse and lauren will be flipping and i'll go inside and i'll transfer over footage and in that time period of transferring footage i'll get on the facebook marketplace and just do my due diligence on trying to find this another piece but also looking for a house or real estate or whatever it may be and this popped up like she said 39 minutes ago and i messaged the guy and he didn't message me after three minutes or didn't even look at my message i'm like i just knew 40 minutes with what he was asking for this place and the space that it was going to provide i knew that it was going to go really quick so it just so happens she walked in the door 30 seconds after i found the listing and i go lord get down here right now it scared me i was like what what happened what's wrong but really it was something great so and then oh go ahead so he was like you need to message this guy right now about this place and i was like what place what are you talking about and so i showed her the images of the place and i'm like like look at this i already knew in my head i wanted it uh as long as we didn't get in here and it didn't look anything like the photos but then i showed her she gave us she gave the green light and i'm like okay give me your phone i take her phone and i message the guy on her phone and i say hey i just saw your property would love more information here's my number give me a call i didn't do that on my post that's kind of where i messed up because five minutes later if that he ends up calling lauren's phone and introducing himself and asking if she was lauren to get this place it's been an absolute it was it was like in a span of a week yeah yeah we started talking friday right now yeah today friday july 2nd and we were here last friday that was when we had the phone call 26th something yeah literally we had hopped on the call last friday and we were here within the next hour and a half and our landlord wasn't able to make it here so he had us meet up with his mechanic and his mechanic led us into the shop and you know we're walking around the shop and we immediately got to just vision building this thing out in our mind's eye and then just it was we just our dream lined up with this shop immediately and you can tell that in how lauren was explaining what she wanted to do and how she was talking about it we were kind of telling him our whole story and all of that jazz and then we were telling him that we were saving up for a down payment on the house and should we tell them no we have to sell it all right all right so we didn't buy a house but he's like wait are you guys interested in a house too and we were like well i mean we wouldn't be opposed and so he has a farmhouse that is literally a hundred feet 150 feet that way and we decided to pull the trigger and go ahead get out of my parents house and rent from this guy a home as well [Music] um [Music] [Music] so [Applause] [Music] we knew it was a little different than getting a house or like buying a house like we've been wanting to but the opportunity to have both our workshop our workspace a big enough workspaces it's always been at the same place but it's always just been crowded messy stepping on each other him getting mad when i don't put my things away me getting mad when he doesn't put his cameras away all of the things and this was just right and we just felt in that moment and ever since then that this was the right thing to do and it was we're so excited we are so excited we were looking at a place back in february march and this place at the time it seemed like everything that we needed i mean it had a huge sunroom that we were going to be able to stage our furniture in it had a huge garage that we were going to be able to work out of comfortably wasn't as big as this but we it was definitely an upgrade in what we had and you know there was a mom and pop suite down below more than enough house for just the two of us and the backyard was pretty amazing too yeah yeah and it was weird because three weeks it had been on the market and it hadn't nobody was interested whatsoever and it was like the moment that we went to go look at the house when we arrived people were walking out and then when we were leaving people were walking in so long story is short we didn't get it and it was like i we were both a little butt hurt and just you know we really wanted it we thought it was perfect and i remember telling lauren you know man if this isn't the right house then god's really got to have something lined up and much bigger and greater for us here we are much bigger much greater and definitely worth the wait just a huge step also in our furniture flipping business with me going full time and then just this is just an expansion that we've been really looking forward to it came a little sooner than i think i thought he is different but it's just i just didn't know when i was open to moving but just didn't know when something was going to come along i'm pretty optimistic but sometimes can be pessimistic he is just optimistic all the time and so you know i'm risk i i i enjoy risk and she's very uh she likes to avert risk and so yeah but i definitely resigned and that was a big risk no yeah you're you're definitely learning there's no doubt about getting better i'm going off but enough about that we want to show you guys or talk a little bit more about what we kind of plan to do here in the shop and then also in the house a little bit as well so we are renting both of them so our landlord though is really open to any kind of updates that we are wanting to do it was built in the 1800s it's nothing fancy but it's gonna do perfectly and it also is only what five miles from my parents house right down the street yeah so that's also really nice we're still in our same city and right now that's just perfect for us we don't have any neighbors though like so we still have our own space yeah and it's really nice that that fact because we wanted land anyways so we have a little bit we don't technically have land that we can go on because it's literally all like corn fields bean fields things like that but there's enough space right here in this little area that we can utilize and there's a big yard there's a garden that we're gonna that we're definitely gonna get our hands into probably next spring maybe fall time try to get that going a little bit i really feel right when we walked through the front door that it felt like it was warm and it was welcoming there was a little bit of a smell to it uh just we've gotten that gotten that taken care of with thanks to glade wall sponsor us we're gonna need all we can get i know i'm trying to get that space a little bit more smelling good too with the i put some plug-ins in there too yeah we're not going to focus too much on the house and what we're going to do over there at first i can't say that from now from when we actually signed the lease and things like that we've been gradually gradually moving things over shout out to our landlord for allowing us that because we were supposed to move in july 1st but we text them like after we got the applications and deposited in and everything was like hey if you don't mind we have a pretty busy schedule so if we could like gradually move things over it's going to like really save us a headache and he was down for it so so we've got movers helping us next week to help us with the big furniture we're done carrying it so that means that the storage units yes we've got three storage units full of furniture that's all gonna come here in the back room there's a big area for storage so that'll be perfect and i don't even think all of our furniture will fit in that back room to be honest but we'll just have some overflow back in the back there but um we have some big big ideas we are so excited to be in this space and to be announcing it in and again like i can't express and i know she expresses it all the time but how thankful that we are for you guys being along for this journey but also like really helping and empowering it you know we couldn't do this without you so not only is this our space but it is our space yeah hey why are you in this video it's usually me i'm not saying that you can't be in it i'm saying like are they gonna see more of you yeah i don't know are they i don't know comment down below if you want to see more of neiman in these videos it'll be basically the same like he said before monday and thursday format will be me flipping in front of the camera but the supplemental videos are going to have him a little bit more in there it's more of our life more of our life more of our updates travels and our updates in between thursday and monday video um i'm so happy that she's here doing it now full time so we can really do whatever we want and whenever we want yeah so let's do a little bit more history about the house and this just this property so they own this about 100 acres to the south of us and then this that we are currently on used to be a running operating full steam ahead dairy farm and it was our landlord's grandparents who owned it and there's a big dairy farm over there that sadly is going to be torn down here soon but all of that awesome wood is going to be saved then i hopefully can get my hands on some of that reclaimed wood the land that we're sitting on is going to be eventually developed so all of this this house and this workshop is going to get torn down so he doesn't really have any emotional attachment to it as long as whatever projects we start we finish we don't really have a timeline for when this might become developed there's going to be residential commercial but you know we are going to get a notice six to 12 months before that would ever happen so we're going to enjoy it until then and we are so excited to make some updates to these places to just make it most usable and friendly and comfortable for ourselves and our business and just everything like that so here in the workshop our first steps are going to be to clean it out because it is quite dusty and dirty and we plan to take you guys along on all of it so make sure to get subscribed yeah we still plan on our regular monday and thursday videos but we're going to roll out the updates to well i'm calling the compound or the fft compound or the oasis whatever we want to call it yeah so this is like workshop slash shop um and then actually right to the right of us in the shop still is like a closed-off place and there's an office and there's a bathroom and there's a sink and another room so that's air-conditioned in there so that'll surface kind of our office area and then out here will be our work area and so we want to just like i said clean everything out we want to build some more shelves back there we want to paint some different things make it look nice different staging walls across the board probably over here some just so many fun plans that again we're going to take you guys right along so these are going to be occasional videos you have no idea when they're going to drop so that's kind of the fun of press that button and then the garage is going to open the chairs will be right here inside of the shop for nana to see i'm going to be hiding over here and lord just said that they're coming up the dirt they're right here they're right there hold on give it like five seconds five four do it we already got a workshop they are just beautiful exactly what i wanted welcome to their new home
