thank you [Music] came back down here this is uh Monday morning we did demo here last I think it was Wednesday evening it rained all day Thursday it was pretty muddy here Friday so we just let it sit over the weekend uh we just finished putting some Stone in the guys are running some bracing this up here was quite a challenge as soon as it quiets down a little bit these Wing walls are pretty old and fragile so we just carefully did our tap conning and now we have to do bracing those tapcons probably foreign probably won't hold because the mortar joints are so soft so we talked about rebuilding the walls but we're just going to try and save them re-point them touch them up a little bit maybe make some brick we got a power brick over here that we pulled out and they can use the touch up a little bit so that's the direction we're going we put our waterproofing membrane in there that was real nice though no rotted wood at all I'm quite surprised uh putting in our rebar next concrete is due in about an hour how is everybody's weekend great yeah good okay and then you're coming this way too you're taking a brace off to that side same way here that way we won't get a bow in the center of these steps so notice how Tom did these he put a board from step to step bottom of Step the top of Step each one down and then I run the whole way up now from the bottom two good two foot pins should be good we did our wire tie method up there let me get a close-up on that a few new new viewers we ran screws in to the band Board of the house wire tie around that drilled a hole came out to a screw wrapped it all tight and we put a nail through here and twist them tight so these are real tight after we're done pouring we'll cut the wire pull this off cut it back we did too low and we did one high that baby's not moving there's my coffee okay I think we are about ready okay here we go mixing up I put about one person just a heavy half bag in this to get it heated up it's quite chilly out this morning and it's gonna be a slow pour uh wheelbarrowing up here either shoveling out of a wheelbarrow into place in a combination and dumping a barrel and throwing them up so we have a yard and a half of aggravating concrete to pour and then we're on to the easy stuff we can pull the truck down and shoot these that's easy we have to go off-site and for just a small sidewalk I think the video didn't have any so those two projects this morning be underway shortly everybody is roaring to go foreign [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] thank you thank you still need more in there if we can take that board off now at the we're done okay all the shoveling is done I'd like to see a little bit low right there that was just to hold our sill to the proper height pitch it now I can check it make sure the door opens the whole way good the final Little Couple scoops of concrete in there you can see how these are starting to take shape just trying to clean them up as I come down I always scrape those faces off all that concrete will fall in as we're trying to finish and just make it harder to finish to get that out of our way oh my gosh thank you so much welcome I'll make a new pot of coffee too it's cold out we are never leaving here how nice is that okay a little bit more in that corner right there and the guys are underway behind me Tom I'll give you a couple Scoops right behind you and start floating these steps down [Music] foreign three steps to go just trying to hit it right on the money scraping them clean we have no place to clean up around here yeah I just move that concrete consolidating it getting all the air bubbles out of that face as long as the concrete moves you're good to vibrate once it stops moving stop the vibration [Applause] [Music] okay not right there we'll scrape him clean a little bit coming down these steps pretty close how would we do on our form job everything stays straight straight and straight okay mixer is leaving can't touch this yet cleaning up his shoots he's on to the next job quick cleanup organized donut break like I need that and then get this finished hey actually I got a new guy starting today so that's pretty exciting he'll be here shortly and we'll see how that goes okay it really didn't take long at all concrete setting up nice just staying ahead of it as always getting everything edged good layout we want to Tool cut at the base of the steps nothing up there that's one solid piece of concrete pretty thick not very big six foot by eight foot plenty of rebar in it so we're going to put a cut at the base because this is going to want to flex a little bit moving so we want some separation there so a tool cut will wet stab it real good right here where it gets skinny two in the center where it gets skinny to big need a leaf blower [Applause] cleaning off the edges [Applause] [Applause] there and there just scrape up a little bit of cream see I'm just scratching the surface a little bit not too much it's that time of year [Applause] find some concrete fill that in concrete's still moving a little bit see how I take that clamp off and that plastic moves I'm going to leave these on just for a minute a couple minutes [Applause] [Applause] same as before cleaning those risers off keeping all that debris out of the concrete [Music] make sure your Corners are built up the whole way everybody's going to look at these from the street you don't want to see these Corners sagging down [Applause] [Music] foreign [Applause] close to this step uh what you didn't just see Matt pulled a tape measure on both sides rather than just sighting it and it's a little bit crooked then it really looks bad so when you're looking down at it or on it everything's nice and even I think we're what 32 inches back on both sides nice and even where these you can set them there and just picture a 90 degree citing it side to side like it there Matt good oh I hear that wind blowing look at all the leaves two more weeks all the leaves will be down make it a lot easier we have two big driveways to get in yet am I in that way but good yeah [Applause] okay we'll be pulling braces in just a couple of minutes okay last step to go send it foreign go side to side on this one man there you go there we go give it a toss all right that's our last step a little bit of stickage on Matt's side I got lucky [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] so here it is after the guys finished up nice set of steps walk set of steps they even dressed up along the edges I'm so happy they did that so I just stopped down real quick I wanted to put a code SRT on it this will get hit with salt in the winter time it's right beside the road get some protection on it man is it windy yacht foreign we use this on all of our outside concrete work it'll dry you won't even know it's on there well pretty much it does change the appearance ever so slightly thank you it goes on like a bluish White okay I'm gonna have to put the camera down for this so this is from the doorway out to the street okay final day here pouring let's see if the buggy will make it up not even concerned I know it'll make it up foreign [Applause] [Music] need uh one two three four buggies in here the guys are cutting a couple more rebar for in here looks good yeah shoot way more Shields out better that's good nice and tight no splashing [Applause] all right a couple more these are five foot so we put a two by four made a t out of it that way the steps don't bow we can float underneath them to the proper height and some vibration consolidate that face take out all the air bubbles this concrete's really stiff it's barely coming down the chute and we only have one shoot on that's okay it's a nice cool morning uh we put these blocks in here that way these two by ten stringers can't push everything will stay nice and square nice and straight one on each side or a lot would have to go wrong for that to push all right another buggy probably one and a half buggies here to take care of this see you right back on the border that's good [Music] good [Music] one more of those and we're done [Music] kind of I'm gonna wait for some more concrete okay straightened up my rebar um yeah maybe all right let's go shovel that border if you need some yeah I think you're real close let's see how tight the concrete is once we get about half or three quarter full push the rebar down and we have these sticking out from the main so I can oh come on come on uh let's just talk let's just talk I don't want to bow that for him [Music] all right I'm gonna get on a smoke probably one more buggy here and sure goes a long way Jim's floating it down to the right height I have that board right behind you Jim you can slide it up and catch this drip [Music] right there slide that under it yeah there we go dripping right there it'll run right down the board gutter's still not on downspouts still not long Here Comes our last buggy full of concrete [Applause] [Music] in there uh we might need a little bit more order is all poured they're just finishing it up clean up time talk to you soon okay concrete is about ready to stamp just cleaning up the edge a little so we wanted the Border a little bit longer than my stamps doing one just a little five inch brick here and since there's not a lot of square footage here I agreed to it it's working pretty well roll it up and then I flip it over and I can just make them a little bit longer okay so Tommy puts slate texture on here and then we just cut them in excuse me we use a shelving bracket from our toolbox when we're doing our wood plank stamp so we did the same thing here worked out real good that way we didn't have little halves Corners like I was talking about earlier that actually turned out much better than I thought it was going to very nice and just go along and clean these up the only thing I would be cool to see that line up with that but boy how do you do that and coming around the joint you know it's not going to happen if it happens it's purely luck got a little drip coming off of this gutter we're catching it all on this board I think I need a bigger board though it's getting some Splash right here foreign all right let's see how they're making out around front Okay I just got done spraying my rug Gasol surface retarder on this I'm gonna expose this later today driveway is poured and sealed yesterday so it shouldn't hurt it we just I just didn't want to get any on it all right I'll be back in a little while a little bit of cleanup see you soon there's my truck forgot where I parked okay I'm gonna go ahead and close out this video there's the front entrance way all scrubbed off dried and sealed doesn't that look nice I didn't cover this it was just a repeat of the back we have plenty and plenty of video of sealing different things so if you're interested in seeing that and didn't catch it on the back side scroll back to another stamp video and I go over quite often in detail of how we do our ceiling this video was just pouring a lot of concrete with some decorative all in just a couple of days so here's the driveway I really like how it rolls up in there I think I showed that before this is a real nice approach this is just a little bit steep I wouldn't use this in the winter time unless you're going downhill and there's not a car sitting right there I show you the patio real quick the stamp turned out really nice that's mortar not concrete so here's this all sealed exposed aggregate our stamp border we did this this morning doesn't that look cool I always like the border on our projects I think a really uh highlights The Edge and sets it off picture Landscaping low voltage lighting around here really sharp okay on to the next project I believe I showed you what that one was coming up maybe I didn't maybe I'm going to show you never mind [Applause] [Music]
