We bought the RH Cloud Couch for a Great Deal! Is it worth it??

[Music] welcome back to another vlog slash video slash it's a video but it's a vlog but what is it i don't know but we're going somewhere you tell me yeah we're in this big old man i feel like a big man in this van way high up see everything so you're probably wondering what's what is this video about why is this guy so annoying and what it's about is we're going to pick up our couch we've been talking about dreaming about and salivating over but not able to buy because it's so expensive i think you know what i'm talking about it's called the cloud couch restoration hardware and you might be asking yourself how how are you buying the cloud couch and restoration hardware if you said it was too expensive let me tell you we got it from the outlet from the outlet bro and there's this thing that i never ever knew about it's called cloud couch frames which is basically the cloud couch without a culvert a cover right without the slip markers you got to get your own slip covers but who cares right because you're getting the cloud couch you can get custom-made slipcovers or buy them on ebay or figure something out but we got the clown couch for a really good deal five piece that's right two middle two corners and automate four two thousand eight hundred dollars can you believe it yes [Music] that's a surprise we got a little surprise coming so you better watch okay we got something that's ridiculous it's ridiculous in every single way possible it's so ridiculous and this is what i love that i i always told him and it's like you know double triple lucky that happened yesterday yeah she's been wanting this thing for a while and i really didn't want to have one in the house because i just thought it was i don't know i just don't like it that much but she really wanted it and we were about to buy one before but then the view fell through and we thought we just came into rh to check out the couch and we saw it and we were like whoa we both fell in love with it right away so really just awesome vlog really happy about that this type of chair it has some art in it classy slash a tradition look yeah it's really nice and stay tuned about our video let's just say that that item is very expensive at retail costs and we got it at a very big discount we got it for like 75 off or something like that basically that's the situation stay tuned for a big surprise and see what the special item that sasha found her dream has come true and i've been blown away by what it is and that's why we bought it right away we didn't even think about it we just bought it yeah we're buying that so stay tuned [Music] what's up guys and we're here to show you what ended up happening with our couch now we didn't film the whole process of driving and picking up and everything we got too excited it was running late and we had a lot of stuff going on you might recall from our bob's review we were thinking about getting the bob's couch but we got a great deal and uh we ended up going with this couch for about the same price probably less actually yeah and this couch is actually the one that he really likes yes the bob's couch it's actually the a back up in case we didn't get this type of couch so we got lucky because we are really patient until it is available because we always keep calling but anyways yeah so we got the couch and um and it's pretty awesome and we also got saw the clip we have a little surprise and we'll show you what that surprise is too um but this we don't want to show too much of the house because we're still going to do a house tour and we don't want to give all that away so stay tuned for that but here's a little sneak peek let's give you a little look at our couch all right so as you can see here it is and you might be thinking wow it's really white and they usually do come in white but this one doesn't have covers so one of the reasons why we were able to get such a great deal is because this is called the cloud frame and that means it doesn't come with the covers that's what it means but it's the rest of the couch for that reason we got it super cheap we got this whole five piece one two three four five piece set for 2 800 bucks which is cheaper than a bob's uh equivalent of this and the bob's couch was actually too big this is smaller than that one this is the bob's couch is the equivalent to the lux version of this this is the classic size so you know it turned out to be extremely perfect for us and we got it right away bob's takes three months to deliver and they have a lot of bad reviews about you know stuff like that so we got to pick it up get it right away and as you might know if you look for a couch it's almost impossible to find couches in stock so this is great you might be thinking oh there's no covers you know well covers aren't that important to be honest um you can get them but the thing is they're like super expensive so retail it's like 1100 per piece so this would cost like 5 000 to cover which is one of the reasons why these sell new for like 10k the frame itself is usually around this kind of frame is usually 6k but given we got it from the outlet we got for 2 800 half off so really cheap so it's a 12 000 couch we got it for less than 3 000 and it's not all bad because we found a solution to our covers problem and i'll get to that in a second but let's do a little you know a little bit of details here so you have two pieces here okay oh look there's a dorito that's funny so so one thing that i was really trying to make sure of when i bought the couch was that it was not the down feather version they have one that's all feathers on the inside and you don't want that because it goes flat and it's hard to re-fluff and it just sags and it looks horrible um and yeah it's just high maintenance um and i think i talked a little bit about that in one of my videos so let me show you something we got so these have a zipper here so you can actually look inside of it so what it is is there is this foam it's like a foam in here yeah it's a foam and then out here it's a pocket of um feathers so this is the feather part which is great this is perfect yeah um and i don't i don't know i don't think you can wash this outer piece so i mean don't do that but but you can double check in the tag yeah we can check it out online see what other people say i wouldn't watch it and i'm not going to but there's that so that's how that is and as you can see it's pretty awesome check if you want to see just how great this couch is it's super well built it's from rh so like check this out you can just do this [Laughter] isn't it so one other thing that i really like about this couch is you see here this is the arm okay look at this arm oh that's nice this is this it's firm and it keeps its shape yeah but the frame doesn't actually go until here so no matter what you do you are not going to get hurt jumping on this couch and just sinking in and it's really comfortable no matter what you're doing um which is awesome so there's that uh each piece so the middle pieces come with this big pillow and the corner pieces come with these three pillows which is awesome now um that's pretty much all the stuff that i really like about it i can show you what we like to do um how we keep the couch for the most part okay so we just made it like this to show you what you can do maybe you have guests the awesome thing is you know you can two people can fit on one of those and then when you have your single friends over right you have a couple here a couple here yeah i guess i guess one two three for that one on that side four five six seven if this is not gonna be connected if it's gonna be right there yeah that's gonna be two so one thing that we did last time we had a lot of guests um we took this and we put it over here and we'll show you later but we put it here and then we took these two pillows these big pillows here just put it on the wall and that basically turned it into another seat so basically you have seating going all the way here right that piece is here so you have like one two three about five people could sit on this row this wouldn't be here and then you have another two to three people who can sit here and you might be thinking oh you know you're really pushing it when you say you can fit two people on one seat like what if you know what if there's three people here how does somebody sit in the middle well the middle is actually not bad at all just sit like that you don't even notice you're in the middle and there's definitely enough space as you can see for one person here and one person here actually more than enough space for one person there so yeah you can actually do that realistically without making people uncomfortable okay ah there you go so now you see me moving the pieces around you might be thinking like can you actually keep them like connected so they don't move around yes you can but we don't do that because it's i know extra work and we do like to move it around like well he's lazy that's why whatever yeah so this is how we actually have it set up most of the time oh actually this couch is very light oh yeah you can carry it even one person you can carry actually you look at this super light and you might think it's it's poor construction it's not it's really well constructed it's just hard wood and it you know it's very simple and it works but this is how we keep it day to day like every day if you come in our house and we don't have guests this is how we keep it and the reason is pretty obvious you're just watching a movie watching tv or something yes you know you just want to pop down like that you know what i mean yeah i'm sitting here like this but this couch is a feels like actually like you're in the bed yeah it's like a cloud and the funny thing is even though we have all these pieces sasha and i we usually sit like both in this middle part like she'll be sitting like this she'll be kind of like that or like here so we don't even really use this side which you can you can definitely sit here like the corner is one of the best pieces but i really like the middle because i could just kind of plop down play my video games which is awesome and then you also have this my god back to the big question what do you do about the covers so you can get covers from the outlet um for 150 bucks per square however 150 bucks 110 per square yeah from the outlet yeah because the original one is uh this is like 500 it plays like 500 to 600. well there are like a thousand most of them each actually each of those pieces like 500 to a thousand like if they're on sale they're like 500 but they're not the ones that you want they're not like the performance fabrics but you know it's still expensive no matter what and what we did because when you go to the outlets they only have like the corner or something they don't match so you can't just go and buy really cheap hundred dollar covers you don't want them all to look different all right so again here's the thing we don't have the covers but we have a great solution because we're freaking geniuses all right but what we did is we went to home goods and we bought these pin size blankets these are 106 by 90 inches so they're huge and basically what we did was we just went like that it's pretty self-explanatory right you can tell where this is going basically what we did was we just took these bad boys right here and these are 25 each so it's a lot cheaper than spending 1200 like 5 000 on covers right yeah for the full cover it does the job and these are easily washable and guess what they're way softer than what you get on a cover so it's we actually like this more than the covers to be honest with you so anyways just think about it guys it's um cloud couch plus the softness of this cover equals heaven yeah you're actually in heaven so you just take it and it goes all the way across and it covers the whole thing we got two we should have got three they didn't have a third one but we didn't get it but then we did go back and buy another one just a little different color but you know it does the job so you could just take it you just like tuck it in a bit there you go it covers literally the whole thing this is two pieces right here just go in there like that boom covers that up nice and good so you save a lot of money and you actually end up with something that could arguably be better than um the actual covers only downside kinda is that you can't like adjust the pillows it's covered up but there you go but other than that it's it's good for temporary yeah exactly to use this bad boy right here and this is just to make sure that you know there's just enough so that when you sit on it and it moves around nothing gets uncovered this is nice too this is really thick we actually bought one of them before um boom easy peasy you need to wash it fine it's basically like a bunch of throw throw blankets like no but hey guess what while you're waiting get your um desired covers you can just do that and then for this guy right here here we go we got a white one pretty cool right and then you throw that that way there and you've got yourself a pretty nice place to stay for like less than four thousand dollars which you really can't be and then guess what we got another blanket here this one's just you know for covering yourself we got another blanket over there and this is our temporary solution while we wait to get affordable covers that we want um and yeah you can buy stuff on ebay and custom-made stuff but this is awesome and again this is how we keep it all the time check it out what what you can't beat that bro can't beat that just sitting here we had a surprise thing that we bought well we don't want to give away too much of the surprise we'll do a full review and house tour and stuff like that but this is our little surprise we were telling you about that we bought boom oh yeah baby but that's all you get to see for now it's a rocking chair by the way and yeah that's it that's the surprise this is the cloud couch that's how we did it and that's how great it is and again less than four thousand dollars that we got this and this is our little cover solution for now all right guys
