[Music] this is world change tag this is group c opening match we've got hub ptc from boston taking on apk blue one of two teams in the tournament from american parkour oh ptc versus apk blue chase one apk blue evading athlete ready jesse harrison evading chased down by jeremiah washington who goes straight down the middle gets a little bit stuck in center court but jesse turns back on himself and goes back towards the loading bay there's a tank it's given it's made washington gets his hand on the back of jesse harrison chase two hub ptc evading zero all athletes ready [Applause] well this is sleeves rolled up going straight at jeremiah around the tilted cube he's got some pace there but can he use it to his advantage trips over the bar but manages to correct himself and he swings and he's he jumps over him from the sisters no no he hasn't he very nearly cleared sarin there and had he done so the point might well have been his apk blue managing to make the tag in the dying seconds chase three apk blue evading zero all athlete freddie [Applause] as you can see quite a strong athletic guy siren doing really well to slide under the mountain he's got past the tilted cube idling there able to cut back slide under the mounting over at loading bay again stopping making sure his opponent is second guessing him across the front line got a real open stretch accelerating getting the distance manages to get under the ridge and there it is without the poker experience takes it home the crossfit specialist managing to get them on the board alex raduca the man doing the chasing but unable to lay a finger on the big man in the blue chase four apk blue evading 1-0 apk blue athletes ready [Applause] no mistaking evan bayer here for the team from boston and sarin is off again a little bit sketchy around that corner but holds it up goes one way then the other and the dow the dive it thought it connected but apparently not and sarin could be about to double up here because the loading bay provides some protection and evan well it looks like he might get him over by the sisters the despairing dive proved to be the last chance he had in that chase yeah there you go he's got to that execute moment where he needs to make a decision and throw his whole body at the evader and unfortunately he's just touched air chase 5 apk blue evading 2-0 apk blue athlete ready dylan powen going straight at the mountain sharing again it was worth repeating a man with no parkour experience but the crossfit specialist look he's got the stamina he's got the strength but he doesn't have the balance just going around the front line there he trips over and dylan manages to make the attack sound himself but unfortunately just a quick slip up just on open ground didn't even catch his feet on anything don't think you're gonna question that man's fitness or stamina it's whether he can just keep the form chase six hulk ptc evading 2-0 apk blue athlete ready [Applause] interesting starting position here for dylan trying to use the mountain as a starting point and you can see him just trying to gain a bit of speed coming down it then goes cross-court turns back on himself round the front line to the sisters decides to leave them and go cross-court again now the loading bay and dylan might well get a point but as he just touched the soul of his shoe he has he acknowledges it and in the end travis graves who looked like he was chasing shadows for so much of the 20 seconds there eventually grabs him in the center of the court chase 7 apk blue evading 2-0 apk blue athlete freddie sparsha poon a man born in nepal now based in the usa in a couple of swings and he makes the tag there chase eight of ptc evading 2-0 apk blue athlete ready [Applause] eric wolf looking up at the man from nepal and down he goes on the mountain spa shapoon vaults over a bar and towards the tilted cube eric wolf nice little jump to keep him in charge and in touch but he dives through the tilted cube and can't make the tag and off he goes spa shapoon he's got pace turns back on himself and eric wolf he is a big big name in this but he cannot lay a glove on him yeah fly spoon there with an absolutely amazing run really comfortable with his foot placement striding over big obstacles but also his general agility he's able to change direction on a dime eric barely had a chance to catch up even though he was using quite good tactics just couldn't quite get the execution in that last split second chase nine oh ptc evading 2-1 apk blue athlete ready it is matthew brother watchman known as brother chasing down sparsha who launches himself over the sisters and just idles around the front line and he's away again the acceleration is impressive from this man but i'm not sure he's got enough here no he hasn't it's a little bit desperate come the end but sparsha's run is finally brought to an end [Applause] chase 10 apk blue evading 2-1 apk blue athlete freddie brother starts over by the loading bay and ducks under the ridge round the front line to the sisters decides to go over them and now he goes cross court there's not much to hide behind there and there's certainly not much to hide behind there lost his footing and he was tracked down by chavez chase 11 hull ptc evading 2-1 apk blue athletes ready johnny brown jb on the starting plate 2-1 apk blue on the zaxby's scorebox but off goes dominique chavez who stops around the front line but then goes again he goes cross court a little vault over towards the loading bay round he goes and again goes across the middle of the court and jb can't close him down the sisters provide a root of escape and that is superb work from dominic chavez 100 it's good to see them putting obstacles between you and your opponent is what it's all about and he's managed to reverse heard that chaser through a bunch of obstacles to slow him down and kill the clock chase twelve oh ptc evading two all athletes ready here comes jesse harrison looking to stop hob taking the lead in this one he just takes a little bit of a tumble but gets up pretty quickly and he manages to use his height to descend into this open area of the corp jesse harrison makes the tag it remains true too chase 13 apk blue evading to all athletes ready [Applause] another chance for jeremiah washington who just sidles up to the tilted cube before putting on a burst of speed and makes the mountain look tiny as he jumps through it and he is chasing down jesse harrison who trips the tag was made i'm not sure how many times it took him to get there but he certainly made sure of it in the end chase 14 of ptc evading to all athletes ready game on a knife edge travis graves steps up chasing down jeremiah washington who is using the tilted cube to the best of his advantage plenty of stuff to hide behind and now over the mountain big powerful jumps into the tilted cube again this is a high eq area lots to hide behind but he makes a break for it to the loading bay and the tag is made it really did look like we might be seeing hub edge into the lead but travis graves just managing to reel it in in the dying seconds yeah to be honest even if that tag hadn't connected it's a big reach the evader jumping out of the quad would have been an instant anyway chase 15 apk blue evading match point apk blue atleast ready [Applause] alec raduka has the job of trying to save the game for hub travis graves if he evades here wins the match and maduka just takes a tumble before bouncing back up the front line does not have much to hide behind and that means that graves as he tries to escape down the side over the sisters gets tagged on the hit it remains two chase 16 hub ptc evading match point pub ptc athletes ready [Applause] sarin has got to get his man here he has got an engine but has he got the skills to use the quad properly look at him go once he gets going this crossfit man has got the speed he's got the power and he does manage to make the tag this is exciting stuff we are seeing a sudden death in this apk that's hub map a reminder sudden death both teams pick somebody to evade they get one chance on whoever lasts longer wins the game they're both guaranteed a point for the table right now but whoever wins this southern death chase off gets an extra bonus point sudden death chase-off chase one hug ptc evading athletes ready [Applause] [Music] it is the man from nepal spa shapoon and it is matthew brother watchman who has to chase him down over the sisters and again up to the bars where he does so much good work under the sisters this time really mixing it up sparsha poon and round the front line and what a time he is setting in this sudden death chase-off he gets the evasion it couldn't be any better the only way that apk blue can stay in this is to get an evasion himself and i'm not sure what you'll like more a lady invasion or the celebration yeah he knows he knows he got the 100 best outcome that you could possibly get an evasion in sudden death really puts the pressure on the players here well apk blue are going for experience in this eric wolf is the man to try and stay out of the reach of jeremiah washington he must go for the full 20 seconds anything less than that and hub take the victory sudden death chase off chase two apk blue evading athletes ready washington shoots one way then it goes the other eric wolf slides under the mountains the loading bay and then decides to go back around this time he makes a break for the cover over by the front line there's not much of it so he keeps on going around under the ridge back to the loading bay under the mountain once more and again it's the same route he's going and it works and oh my two evasions in the sudden death chase off we're gonna have to go again connor sudden death until we figure out the winners here we're not leaving this as a draw i'm seeing some really good movement by eric though awesome route he's putting in here i haven't seen too many people use center core like this but that zigzag in as you can see every time he overcomes an obstacle he's checking out his opponent he's got his eyes on him and he's able to make the distance sudden death chase off chase three hull ptc evading athletes and that is a high risk move from evan to start on the mountain like that but it's paid off at least in the early stages there is a tag made though that the time is the important thing apk have to last just a millisecond longer than those guys and they take the extra point in the table with the sudden death victory sudden death chase-off chase four apk blue evading athletes ready [Applause] if they can last 11 seconds then apk blue will take the point and it is johnny brown jb who is charged with doing it and it's a great start for him because hubba is struggling to get close to him and i think this is going to do it because he goes over the mountain and nobody's even close to him at all the tilted cue of the mountain through the center of the court and he gets an evasion that is absolutely unworldly stuff in the sudden death evasion from apk blue they did it once they did it a second time to be sure and they take the victory by two points to one in is this a sudden sudden death or the most sudden of death

Nutty first match. Loved watching Sparsha and knew he'd get put in for sudden death. It became clear he was the most confident on that end. He was also probably the best about spotting during his evasions as well. Dominic also did pretty well during his evasions and I think he could have had a 2nd if he didn't take the same awful route a lot of people seem to take with the wide left coming from center court back towards the front line. Gotta take the tight left there. Airic's movement around the Quad was also really impressive in the sudden death. He couldn't catch Sparsha during regulation but his evading was fantastic.

This being the first match of the group, I assume there were some jitters but I think Hub lost this almost exclusively in their matchups against Sarin. Jeremiah forgot to spot Sarin during Chase 2 and more or less ran right into him. And then Hub's chasing left a lot to be desired on Sarin's 2 points. Sarin was relatively solid as an evader but it was quite clear he was not comfortable on any of the obstacles. He basically ran around the edge of the court for all 3 of his evasions and honestly could have gotten all 3 points if he didn't trip. Meanwhile, Hub couldn't utilize their parkour abilities to cut him off in any meaningful way. And in the 2 chases that mattered most for APKB, Alec comes to a dead stop on the sisters while Evan started the chase with 0 obstacles between them and then ran the exact route Sarin is comfortable with. It felt like they didn't understand what advantages they actually had in those specific matchups.

I'm curious to see how this group shakes out. I had heard Hub was pretty good but their form in this match feels like they would have gotten blown out by a team like Unknown, 5 Borough or Hollywood.
