Way down the river we found an abandoned 1800s homesite

this is actually where today's adventure begins sarsaparilla it his sarsaparilla syrup Oh skid myself off this tree and right down in look at that look at that well hey everyone you guys would not believe what we just had to go through to get to this point scary big machines listen all that noise right that's because of the river right there where we're going we got about a mile and a half but that's the only place we could get around the river yeah yeah so this is actually where today's adventure begins we're on our way up and in going to look for a cellar hole yes we are and hopefully it's out there and hopefully we find things of interest I certainly hope so on both counts again back in my neighborhood yeah so you take point and let's let's get going I'll do yeah yeah all right all good I didn't catch the beginning but I didn't break the machine this time yeah meds Knapp brand new coil wax mask wash this is absolutely terrible out here well a logging road has ended and now we start push whacking heading in the direction we need to be heading in it's pretty simple fall you guys hear that traffic it's insane we have to go a mile and a half in the woods but yet we got to listen to that because of the highway but it's the river that's choke this place off nice the Trailblazer thanks wow this is actually getting to look more cart path like damn so as you can imagine with the river way down the Outd up over here crazy somebody Ford's to rode along this long long time ago probably seventeen hundreds so we're looking for we're about to cross a broken wall it goes up the hill and then our destination he's right down there River in us alright cool so if you copied that Dame says we had a wall we're looking for this is one of those sites that comes out of you know a season's worth of skimming all the perimeters and outer edges of it and from game scouting walking a bit in here walking a bit in here and deciding that this is the best route and at a mile and a half hopefully it's deterred others who aren't quite so willing to go the distance well you definitely can't cross that River uh-huh yeah yeah and the highway so the ops was like oh he could pull over and then hop skip over the river I said no no no no no yeah this is crazy all right all right [Applause] so we're still approaching where we think we need to go and this has definitely been shifted land it's it's rather clean up here but look at this [Applause] that is huge on the it's right plowing on the edge [Applause] Oh skid myself off this tree and right down in look at that look at that Dame just popped down onto this corridor and says oh there we go do you notice it's folded over here that's that's a good sign of old road-building shouldering the shoulder with stones all right back down in it is it exists merely without oh my god Wow so again sorry we're all gonna have to listen to the highway noise the rivers fine but big river keep on yeah the weeping willow taught me how to cry cry cry and the day I follow damn I thought I was gonna die down uh it was a butt buster huh yeah mile and a half should have taken us 30 minutes under normal conditions that had to be 45 easily and we we hustle hustle through the woods all right so we're gonna shut down for a couple of minutes hydrate cool down swing and hope for the best pretty clean all around though huh that it all new trash no apparent dig holes [Applause] go to it Delroy see what we got in the ground yeah here we go the moment of reality stove farts casing yeah now oh wow yeah I got a cool stove park that's my culture it's some sort of text on it model number something like that here we go I'll flip it the other way yeah [Music] - OH - or to see - is not the droids we're looking for [Applause] [Music] Oh [Applause] oh look at that is it a batwing is that what they call that or a spectacled buckle oh man that's brassy beautiful Dame relics yes good very good there you have it nice good proper culture maybe from a picture frame I was just thinking picture frame yeah those old glass plates yeah that could be Dan dig around that hole see yeah she's in there you never know glass wow yeah that's a little bit more oh yeah is that gonna be oh yeah that could possibly fit in there that was a shotgun shell it sounded like your target I got something to say hey let's go see it was high 78 80 and but it's sad but it didn't sound great that's the thing it sounded like something uglier wow look at that fancy on both sides must have been silver-plated well this hope for this site oh definitely whoa yeah it's reeded what is that no this little hole there could be a lantern piece huh hang out the same as the spoon 7880 but sort of weird interesting out here work so far we're in the 1800s yeah I'm finding round nails too so that's putting us well into the 1800s but this hole is not an 1800 to build uh uh it in fact these huge stones those are in situ they didn't put those there to make the hole no I mean in it there's no cut stone all right well I actually have a button over here oh nice but again it's not terribly old I don't think cool a big old door or gate swing oh yeah yeah doesn't really match the topography of the land but you never know huh good good finds that's a pretty interesting little button that just rang up a 38 which is pretty low and it looks like a two-piece the back probably was of iron it's probably wise or hang-ups a little bit another cool find oh boy damn got beauty yep Wow is a lovely Lantern top oh that's fantastic there might be text on the rheostat they're a little smushed down below I checked it it doesn't fit my chrome II thing Wow not tightly anyway but yeah nice yeah some very cool finds out here today it rang up exactly like all that sheet metal stuff yeah I'm noticing the numbers of everything are very similar awesome yeah good job something New York it's gonna be on it Buchanan and lie all huh what we should be looking at up here and stuff yeah very cool stuff right those horrible sound but with inscriptions as George would say yes yeah but it you know shoe polish tobacco rash ointment stuff stuff yes ran it with clean thirty-eight woody get machine said on weird today it's not set hard in there I mean it it wiggles and jiggles oh well that makes even more sense the plough edge is that solid I am oh yeah it's missing the rest of the Finn but it's easy five pounds had better this mile and a half out yeah leave your walk getting exercise today [Applause] [Applause] beautiful hello there is no no yeah with a padlock oh cool yeah very cool awesome where was it right there no sound just like a bottle cap oh that upper-70s just squeak yep very cool yeah wonder if there's a maker on it [Applause] walked right back over and dug a thimble next to it yeah Oh big pieces yes big pieces still in the 1800s yes which is I'm confused than there are not many higher tones it's all in the 38 to 58 range and there's lots of them yes speaking of uh uh rest as I came over to see you I popped something fancy out of the ground all right it was a tight signal because we're right out by a lip here oh nice suspension yes huh some paper clasp very nice yeah I think it was like sitting like that behave okay yeah it was a swinging over a needle got me a kitchen tool oh it is a grater very cool game yeah jeez you know that's not something that turns up too often I've never found one before know that of course it sounded just like a Budweiser can right oh yeah yeah yeah and interestingly enough with Dame's Oviatt playing Superman he's he's actually underneath the house these are all the bricks from the chimney so he's inside the footprint and that is a very cool find [Applause] Branka Oh panel text no sarsaparilla it his sarsaparilla syrup got another set Oh more more of that sad Claremont New Hampshire rip Oh beautiful what does that say Kim Kim Kempton Atherton captain and Atherton does that say Dame's sarsaparilla Oh something Davis de gayness dana's something dana's dr. Dana Scully cool yeah that's awesome do a little bit more a bit more dig in here yep we can't oh it's all full of hugs I don't want to take home look at string of pearls charlie yeah I'm itchy today was a a great explorative cursor and it had have been a twist to it we would assume this was a colonial site because of the history of the area all the sites that we have visited in the past up there colonial but mid 1800s abandonment right and pounded out and this site appears to be settled after all them people were gone but when you walk around you look at the whole you look the walls it looks much older sure does but your theory is the stuff just could be deeper because the 1800s stuff here is it's pretty much where we find 1700 stuff you know at that four to six inches they don't have a lot to do with the river too very much possible I'm gonna have to come back here maybe to do a lip dig out and see what's what's deeper yeah so Dane will probably do some solo digs by himself will call this site the way down the river it's a way down the river but it's funny how long we hiked distance-wise and the roads right there put impossible to get to there ain't no crossing that no alright let's get out of here that hike back is gonna be terrible oh yeah that was gross coming in and lumpy and dangerous and you know a lot of up to get to where we can traverse and then make our way back to civilization alright everybody we'll see you soon get out and explore your world and until next time enjoy your not Thursday [Music] you [Music]
