hello everybody how you doing today my name is Nick welcome to my channel place to watch and talk about movies in this new reaction it's gonna be hunting I Shrunk the Kids and this was actually a top tier patreon request I'm very excited to finally hop into this one it's been a while since I've done this top two patreons request so I have a couple to catch up on but I'm very excited to hop into this one first it seems like honestly the type of movie I would really enjoy based by the title I'm assuming it's about a dad who shrinks his kids don't know much more than that but I'm I'm assuming that's what it's about so I'm excited to hop into it hopefully you guys enjoy this reaction before we get started if you guys do want to see the following reaction to this video overly access to my to four videos a week so I'm very sorry about the delay this past month just once again want to make sure like my mental health and everything around me is like settled I'm really hoping it's back to that's a really cool intro [Music] loving how they're doing this it makes so much sense just because of the title [Music] oh I hope there are no like terrifying bugs in this it's like a little snake out there [Music] I actually think this is like one of my favorite intros I've seen in a while [Music] Paul asked Barbara asked me if I had a date to the dance they broke up for religious differences she thought she was God and he disagreed no way I'm meeting you at the mall oh he looks like he's a scientist Maybe yeah oh is that his invention oh that's so cool she actually used this Dimensions around the house mom and dad had an argument last night and mom spent the night at Grandma's like she just needed a rest oh their parents were fired me both if only Dad could get that machine to work oh that's so cool I love that just all the adventures around the house yeah so the dad's Adventure just like the sun [Music] oh where do I know him from oh he was the main person in The Little Shop of Horrors right that's so him that's actually pretty great typing with his gloves on again that was not gonna know like anyone in the cast [Music] who does he think he is Mr Wizard okay and I think he should have some consideration for other people I mean he's not trying to disturb you though [Music] this sounds kind of like an adventure too what's on this thing Super Glue Mark those trespassers dad oh he tried pulling that family [Music] I love this score [Music] look I finished mine all the molecules listen Nick I gotta get this thing working before I leave oh you don't even want to like look at your son's thing [Music] I thought he would have been like a lot more supportive considering he's an inventor too it's actually a shame for this song He's probably just trying to get his dad's work yeah going if Mom calls tell her I'll be home by lunchtime yeah don't forget my dress from the cleaners Nick knowledge bills it's all on my head don't worry a house of insanity I love all the everything normal like play baseball nope his Hobby's inventing that's what he likes to do maybe you could be the mound run out smoke your stuff are they actually like friends or are they not I mean I can't tell I'm assuming that they're not like good friends at least Russell give me a hand here he just seems like he's like not even involved in his kid's life in a way blue worm catches the fish wrestle I mean if it's just because like he wants to bond with them that's nice but I can't tell like is he just like going fishing with him just because like that's what he wants to do when he's not really care what his son wants to do [Music] oh he is a crush on her oh wait is he gonna tell Russell he doesn't have to go on the trip with them Russell I wouldn't become 20 pounds rated what's the no no yeah I could so all poor them are really just gonna be strong and given that my machine can substantially reduce the size of bulky payloads are you trying to tell me that suddenly size is no longer relative if we can proportionally reduce the amount of empty space in any given object we he's like why is everyone leaving I'm intrigued you have however managed to shrink one thing the size of this audience gentlemen and no one's taking him seriously oh he's actually taken him seriously oh wait are they not actually gonna get drunk not supposed to be playing up here [Music] it honestly again foreign it's like a big slide honestly oh my I love these Wizard of Oz references I've heard in like two out of the past like a couple movies I've seen recently you can do what I see okay it's so easily I'm assuming you will like at some point in the movie he has to be the reason why they escape or like get back in the house yeah she has to know something so Diane I can't find Nick and Amy if you see them would you send them home right away sure same thing if you see mine are they supposed to really leave for the fishing trip oh they're still packing okay they're smart they ran away with the circus I don't know where they could be they know we're leaving Amy yeah they're right there once again I know I know every time I do a movie about bugs I get so scared about them like people get so mad at me or some people do [Music] this looks so disgusting in this movie I don't know why for us now it's all your stupid dad's fault shut up you're the one that hit the baseball through movie so much I mean it's such a simple premise in a way of just like people being shrunk down like everything's bigger to them but it just works so well in this movie so far for me foreign [Music] oh she has to be okay [Music] oh come on Russell you have to get her there's no way they're actually gonna kill one of them it's very delicate they must think he's crazy just for those those binoculars on his little helmet I love a Russell's the one that saved you though oh that's more that's a good way to do it always tell the dog to get off the grass though [Music] oh were they leaving now oh my oh my yeah he said there's no way no way oh the fishing report looks stellar and she's amazing still shines huh oh that is incredible I am shocked I love her and the guy I love both of them that is make me believe that they ran away please give us a call if you hear from the boys I feel like he's being so hostile and I mean I get it his kids are missing but like you're not helping yourself like just being like that with the police because they probably think you were like a suspect like they ran away from you just like they said well it's like what oh but then they're gonna get a report right across the street yeah they're gonna know something's up now that is the couch from the attic you can see the marks where cork chewed the arms it works she's actually kind of excited about that well yeah the kids know Shrunk the Kids threw them out with the trash stay here okay you report some missing children cars are in the backyard right honey oh my oh my oh she's just so overwhelmed why don't we let him go he's worn out and this family might be worried about him it's okay with me yeah me too I can go now start walking you'll get the idea oh is he gonna want to go with them shoe I never thought I'd be like kind of into a bug like invested in the bug like that's just so sweet come on go home mom will never let me keep you any luck at that point though you just tell your wife like lying all these years make you think you don't smoke is like so terrible just because like it's ruining your own health and like she should know you see anything yet always he actually gonna help them or believe them what was that watch out didn't even think come on come on Dad's brand he told us he quit smokes when he's really worried about something oh really be careful always like a little light oh that's smart now we can see in the dark oh wait you think you probably see it a lot easier you've got to tell the time since he could have literally hurt them you gotta be careful what do you take me for a complete idiot I think the Thompsons need to see the couch yeah yeah you shouldn't just like explain the scientific explanation of them they're not gonna understand it this is a microscope I know all right he just has such an attitude they're just trying to help you like come on you don't have to be me to them some doll furniture big deal they sell that kind of stuff at swap meets blew up my kid oh no no no if the machine had blown up the kids there'd be pieces of them everywhere I mean he's got a point though the machine shrunk our kids you're the one who need to shrink solinsky you are a nutcase and I'll tell you something it's not like he Shrunk the Kids you're acting as if like he intentionally did this to them if it's the view all over the neighborhood like I get it you're worried but blaming him is not gonna help I think that went well yeah yeah I'm sure it did I thought you didn't believe him oh I don't know over the years just now following them they don't even need to ride him and he's like I'm allowed for the journey now [Music] what is it what are my legs oh yeah they can all sleep in that yeah I don't even have to brush my teeth I had a brother yes finally we fix it but I mean you have to find the kids to even be able to bring them back up to normal size somehow I feel like this is all our fault it's my fault you should have been more some sleep up early and come out here and look for them and I gotta be honest I thought they'd be looking for them all night not with my babies out here all alone in the dark with little Russ Thompson that was shocking to me how like they could not hear them at all well you better get it there you go I'm not I mean I'm shocked he's the one that figured it out but that's great they got it thank you those get there shoot no reason this shouldn't work now huh Oh I thought they made it bigger again oh he's not full size okay so they're gonna go a little bit smaller than like the original size if this works you want to go to the dance on Friday if you really want me back on the team I don't care about the team I care about you oh he has a baby Redemption I'm so happy oh he's gonna say thank you oh finally finally date how do you make a tote oh I love toast to the Thompsons and the zelinskys oh you got cakes also they just enlarged everything now okay I mean I guess that that works oh wait did you actually get it that was just he was too young to get it oh that was actually great okay buddy so that was my first time watching Honey I Shrunk the Kids I love this movie I mean it wasn't a perfect movie for me but I will say I I really enjoyed this movie just the whole concept of them being so small I've seen it done in other movies you know where like you either shrink or you grow but in this one just seeing the like aspect ratio of like them so small and like everything else so big I love the environments I really did I love just like even the bugs like I was shocked because like the bees kind of freaked me out the Scorpion didn't really just because it did not really look realistic and in the ant I ended up loving even though in the beginning I was a little bit terrified of him but I feel like I handled the bugs in this one a lot better than I usually do and that definitely is also because of like when this movie was made I bet I bet if it was made today probably would have been a lot more scared of the bugs but I really did enjoy the end of this one it was great and also the relationship with the four kids you know the uh the Russell and his brother they they were they actually matured a lot of me like as the movie went on in the beginning I definitely liked the um what's it called the main kids of like the dad the inventor I love the sun in his history lot more than Russell and his brother but then towards the end I really started especially like Russell you know just the fact that he's not a popular kid he's trying to go after the popular girl and he's never really talked to the popular girl and he finally gets at the end I just I love that so much for him but also the parents I mean I honestly my biggest gripe with this movie would just be the fact that like it didn't seem like every single second the parents were like thinking about their kids and like if they were gonna get smooshed or anything like that you know letting the dog run around throughout the grass and even when they were doing the contraption before he was like rising from the air it just felt it felt like it was not safe enough but maybe that's just because after seeing like what they did towards the end it's like yeah you should have done that the whole time but that's probably like my biggest like nitpick if you will it didn't really detract from the movie at all I was just like you you better be careful if you like going on the grass because especially with like knowing your kids are in that grass it's like I think I would have been so scared to even step foot on that grass but overall seriously an amazing movie heartfelt story I really enjoyed this one I don't know if there's sequels to this one or not but if there are I actually might be interested in checking them out especially the cast is the same because I really grew to like like lots of the cast of this movie even the dad of Russell I you know the whole movie I was like he's definitely the kind of villainous character of you all throughout the movie but I loved his Redemption at the end I'd probably give this movie a nine definitely really enjoyed it and thank you so much
