Watch This Before You See Frozen 2

so we can all agree that there's nothing more important than frozen to right now right the upcoming movie is one of the most hyped sequels ever despite the fact that we've seen so many trailers it still feels like we don't know all that much that being said we've combed through every piece of information on it just to bring it to you now here's every fact out there about the new movie to get you ready for the coming of frozen 2 [Music] number one convenient bedtime story from the trailers it seems like the movie is going to start with Elsa and Donna's parents telling them a bedtime story this story looks like it conveniently sets up the plot of their adult adventure in season two evidently north of arendelle there is an enchanted forest that no one can enter it's amazing that no one in the original movie ever once mentioned the magic impenetrable forest just above them you think that if their world just casually had a magic forest fortress they'd be less judgmental of a girl with ice powers number two arendelle's in danger there's a point in one of the trailers where one of the trolls tells our heroes that arendelle is once again in danger this doesn't really seem all that surprising after their king and queen perish in a storm and their kingdom gets taken over by a magical ice storm they'd get a hint maybe the solution to this whole problem is just to leave arendelle our heroes aren't ones for giving up though they set off on a new journey that takes them out of arendelle into an even more dangerous place but like cartoon dangers not Game of Thrones dangerous they still have to be able to sing and stuff you know number three a new threat part of the reason that they're leaving arendelle is that Elsa is being spoken to by some sort of dangerous presence she's evidently hearing voices and the trolls encourage her to seek the originator of these voices out you know instead of just telling her to get a therapist which would probably be wiser if they follow the same structure as the original movie frozen twos villain might be a friend for the first half of the film maybe it'll be another meta commentary on Disney films like how the evil was the handsome prince and frozen maybe the evil villain this time will be a cute side character this wait is olaf secretly evil now he's about as sweet as cotton candy but keep on the lookout for crazy twists frozen is all about shaking things up number four charades one of the wackiest parts of the trailers we've seen thus far has to be the scene in which the frozen family is playing charades the scene looks like it has a strong chance of being the most adorable thing in the movie also Olaf's impression of Elsa is 100% accurate the only thing it's missing is josh gad singing an off-pitch rendition of let it go also who knew Kristoff would be so good at charades some people just have hidden talents I guess number 5 attack at the Diamonds things evidently kick into high gear when Elsa seemingly loses control of her powers these ice diamonds appear out of her cloak and then spread all over the kingdom this leads to some sort of disaster that forces the people of arendelle to flee apparently Elsa woke the magical spirits of the Enchanted Forest somehow whatever bad means it looks like once again Elsa's powers have led to disaster for the kingdom it's almost like her parents making else a repressor of powers instead of embracing and learning about them had disastrous results why are there never any good parents and Disney movies number 6 trolls always keeping secrets after Elsa awakens these spirits and causes Cataclysm across arendelle they seek out D trolls once again and again the trolls have all the answers which begs the question as to why they don't spend more time asking the trolls stuff these beings are essentially neighbors no little if they weren't so secretive maybe arendelle wouldn't face so many disasters regardless the trolls send them off on a new mission into the forest though one can't help but wonder if they're holding back a key piece of information that they'll desperately need number seven the enchanted lands this leads us right into the heart of frozen to power heroes find themselves somehow breaking through the barrier into the Enchanted Forest frozen may have featured a mostly winter motif but it looks like the sequel is going for more of an autumn look and that q2 instagram-worthy autumn though the forest is more of a scary these leaves are gonna attack you autumn from the looks of it this new setting will completely redefine the entire frozen mythos we will likely learn all of the secrets behind Elsa's powers bonus points if they somehow figure out how to put in Rapunzel's powers into the same magic system now that they're in the same universe it would be cool if disney played with that concept I'm assuming you know by now that Rapunzel and Flynn were there at Elsa's coronation and frozen you've got just so many videos talking about it number eight anna has a nice sword everyone on the Internet has been freaking out over almost every detail in the frozen two trailers there's one part about the trailers though that hasn't been getting enough attention and we have to talk about it right now Ana's got a freaking ice sword in this movie and ice sword it's probably a safe assumption that Elsa makes it for her little sis to protect herself in the new dangerous land they're visiting this also means that will definitely see onna get into some epic action sequences where she gets to show off some skill it also means the Disney is definitely going to be selling ice sword toys looks like I'm gonna need to clear some space on my mantle next to my lightsaber and my sting from the Lord of the Rings number nine mystery girl Disney has told us quite a bit about the new movie now that we're so close to its release that being said they are still being tight-lipped on the mystery everybody needs to know right now who is that mystery girl from the first trailer fans were really hopeful that she was going to be else's love interest but Disney shut those rumors down it's unlikely that the mouse house is ready to go there and one of their animated movies quite yet maybe one day still we're hoping this new character is just as fun as we've been imagining all these months maybe she'll have powers like Elsa does and we'll just have to wait to find out number 10 Stonehenge after our gang reaches the border to the enchanted forest it seems to be hidden beneath this wall of magical mist Elsa is able to break the wall with her magic and there's even more mystery behind it there's a mystical looking stone circle behind the mist that has a very Stonehenge vibe to it this undoubtedly holds a major key as to what the ancient magic is that surrounds the frozen Methos would it be too much for the witch from brave to pop up and explain everything why can't Disney just admit that all their movies exist in one universe already number 11 Giants frozen to has been selling itself as a much more threatening adventure than the first movie if they hadn't sold that idea enough the later trailers have shown us they are not playing around they did this by introducing the brick and rock Giants we saw Elsa conjured some pretty freaky ice monsters in the first movie but compared to the rock monsters there Olaf level scary you can expect an inevitable scene where Elsa has to go all out on these bad boys with their ice powers frozen to may very well end with Disney's most awesome action sequence if they play their cards right number Nach frozen proved itself to be an instant Disney classic that both revived classic Disney tropes and redefined them so how do you follow that up with new material that has to compete in the sequel well Madinah the answer to that question is water horses we found out that this creature is called NOK it's a creature that charges through the ocean with the force of a stallion we don't quite know how the knock comes into the story but it seems likely that it will be one of the coolest new concepts the entire pitch meeting for frozen - must have been what if Ilsa rides a water stallion I mean what more do you need honestly number 13 the north ultra disney has also shed a little bit more light on who the mysterious nomadic tribe of people in frozen 2 are we know that they're called the North ultra and they might not be so happy to see our heroes from the looks of it they've been closed off from the rest of the world for years there are several action sequences shown in the trailer that point to the north ultra having some hospital trust issues it's a Disney movie though so I probably wouldn't worry about it chances are that after about 90 minutes together they'll be singing a song about friendship number 14 Elsa gets a sidekick Anna got more than her fair share acute sidekicks in the original frozen she not only got to hang out with Olaf but also the silent Kristoff silent reindeer buddies Sven Elsa on the other hand got pretty shortchanged on the whole cube sidekick thing looks like the sequel will address this grave injustice though by giving Elsa buddy of her own we've seen her playing with the most adorable blue salamander ever the tiny dude is apparently named Bruni and loves Elsa's penchant for making ice crystals Anna may have a snowman and a reindeer in the original movie but else has got a water stallion and a salamander think she's got the advantage here number 15 purple fire the rock monsters aren't the only things that are scary about frozen - we've seen several instances of the gang being attacked by some mysterious purple fire this has led many to wonder whether there will be another element bender like Elsa in the movie some have even theorized that the mysterious girl in the trailers might be the villain who's attacking them others even think that bru need the salamanders going to pull on and be the secret flier Stata it's likely that neither of these are going to be the truth though we'll likely get a new character whole serve as the film's villain maybe even some sort of formless evil spirit number 16 Ana's quest the trailers spent a lot of time on else's journey in the movie but we get to see a lot of onna as well not only does she get an awesome new weapon but it looks like she gets a quest of her own as well we see her not only doing some crazy leaps through a cavern that actually looks like the same one else is trapped in not only that but she also gets her own ice boat that she and Olaf used to get around is on a trying to find her sister yet again they really need to use the Find My Friends app number 17 Gale aside from NOK we also know of another cool mythical being in frozen - there are several sequences in the trailers where we see leaves flying around as if they have a mind of their own some thought this meant that there would be a character like Elsa who could control the wind that's close but not quite at this character actually is wind the disembodied spirit known as Gale Wow they really reached for that one now didn't they apparently plays a really big role while some figured that she'd be villainous the word on the street is that she's actually pretty playful she'll evidently use her powers to communicate to and even mimic some of the characters in the film the one that seems to get the most Gale time is Olaf perhaps she'll be the subject of Olaf's inevitable follow-up to his original in summer song number 18 Olaf's in danger speaking of Olaf it seems like he's getting in on the action as well in the sequel though he might not realize it it looks like one of the funniest sequences in the movie may involve Olaf slowly realizing how dangerous the forest is the scene starts with Olaf jauntily strolling through the forest without a care in the world he narrowly avoids dangerous things are falling all around him then he ruminate on whether or not this dangerous lifestyle is gonna be the norm or not the movie hilariously gives me pretty instant answer within seconds of him saying this he finally sees the danger all around him and screams in terror that's not what should scare him though he's a snowman walking around and fall in the snow cloud him the first one isn't above them anymore surely they'll explain this right number nineteen Elsa is trapped at some point in the movie things go wrong for Elsa the first thing we ever saw from the sequel was Elsa stranded alone on an island trying to escape this was a pretty grim scene to sell everyone on the film the original was known for being about as colorful and fun as possible it basically had the aesthetic of a Barbie movie so it's pretty strange to see this movie looking a lot more like The Dark Knight Rises from the looks of it Elsa escapes from this predicament to the help of NOK and her ice powers who wants to bet that this is the scene where Elsa sings her next show-stopping number number 20 the reindeer army of all the main characters from the original film Kristoff definitely gets the least attention though his pajamas in the charades scene are pretty durable what we do see of Christoph's journey in the trailers makes it seem like he's not getting shorted when it comes to epic moments one of his few sequences shows him writing sent along with an entire army of reindeer that's probably about the coolest thing Kristoff could ever do it does leave one big question though does he do the voices for all those reindeer if there isn't a scene where jonathan groff does a conversation voicing all of them talking together then I say we riot number 21 new songs there is one thing that's a lot more important about frozen 2 than the plot and that would be them show-stopping songs frozen made the Disney musical popular again in a way tangled only wished it could do you want to build a snowman let it go and for the first time in forever were all pretty big showstoppers there have been snippets of a song called into the unknown released this one is almost definitively sung while our heroes are venturing into the enchanted forest for the very first time speaking of Elm she gave a glimpse into her new song from the movie as well her song the next right thing sounds like auna trying to convince herself to do something probably going after Elsa again after she's gotten into trouble we haven't heard any of the others but soon we'll hear them all a million times over number 22 Elsa finally named The Snow Queen while they're talking to the trolls one of them takes on a side and warns her that Elsa's powers are expanding this doesn't sound like a good thing at this point everyone knows that Elsa was supposed to be the villain of frozen like her Hans Christian Andersen counterpart she would have declared herself The Snow Queen she would have basically been the Maleficent of the original movie well the evil Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty not that sort of good one played by Angelina Jolie rumor has it that Elsa will finally proclaim herself Snow Queen in the sequel she might have a brief villainous turn as well knowing this family Anna will take her out of it in no time number 23 lieutenant Destin Matias sterling K Brown is one of the best actors working in Hollywood today he's been killing it from this is us to the People vs OJ Simpson and even to his small role in black panther so everyone was pretty bummed the second he was announced for frozen to so far all we know that his name is lieutenant Dustin Matthias he was apparently a soldier fighting the north Bulger who got trapped behind the magical barrier so he's likely been in the same war for decades it may not be too excited if Elsa and Donna want to bring peace regardless of whether he ends up being a hero or a villain there's one thing we can agree on he's got a cool beard Brown should strongly consider growing one like that for himself number 24 Hani Marin and writer we've talked about quite a lot of new things featured in frozen 2 but somehow we still haven't talked about all the new characters happy death days Rachel Matthews joins gravity falls star Jason Ritter in the film as well the to play brother and sister pair honey Marin in writer writer seriously Disney can't replace Flynn a writer like that so easily they are both members of the North ultram Hani Marin is evidently a free spirit who wants peace in the forest brighter is a reindeer obsessed adventurer these characters sound incredibly familiar it's possible that the movie could play with the concept that they're basically alternate versions of Honor and Kristoff while there will undoubtedly be a whole lot of tension when our heroes come across the North ultra these guys will probably become buddies number 25 Walt Disney's dream fulfilled I bet there's one epic frozen fact that you just don't know ideas for the film over at Disney started a long time before the frozen team brought us the version that we know today in fact Walt Elias Disney himself reportedly started working on an adaptation of The Snow Queen way back in the 40s the project never came to fruition and he passed away before it became reality so the frozen franchise is basically like if there was a superhero Stan Lee never got to make and Marvel brought him to life pretty cool don't you
