Was Camping with TEMU a BIG Mistake

the right is starting Jesus ooo it's quite warm it's one reason I'm out this uh warm weather is breaking tonight I think should be getting a lot of rain and um in a couple of days temperatures really dropping so I was going to Camp two days ago but I saw this rain was on the horizon F oh wait the reason I wanted to wait for the rain is cuz I'm doing this t-u Camp as you probably saw in the uh thumbnail I um yeah I just bought a load of gear we'll talk about that in a minute uh for the minute oh God need to rest a minute the first bit of Kit I should probably show you is the pack this cost me £22 so that's pretty cheap there's no shipping on any of this because of the amount I spent it was free shipping but it's just listed as um camping in backpack large I'd say it's 70 75 L something like that to be honest it doesn't seem that badly made the Zips could probably be better and the arrangement of things could probably be better but um I mean for 22 quid it seems to sit low not like on your hips so you feel the weight on your shoulder straps but um I mean if it was really on a budget it definitely do the job feels quite hard wearing has a waist strap but no sternum strap don't know have to see how it goes uh one problem is this opening on the bottom is quite small and um I'm not going to be able to pull my tent out of there which means I'm going to have to take everything [Applause] out be obvious to some of you but this is not from uh t-u this is the chair I decided to bring along to be honest I didn't even think about looking for a chair um but if I did look I'm pretty sure I'd know what I'd [Applause] find right so the things that I have bought are the uh backpack obviously as you've seen a camping lantern a headlamp a kettle come pot which actually I've seen before uh a knife um an inflatable mat a sleeping bag which is bit of a lie because it's the same sleeping bag that they sell on wish.com and I did that wish.com video so I thought I'd just reuse it they did have a Four Season one it cost a bit more but it was actually out of stock so I couldn't even get it saved me some money anyway uh a fire pit and the tent itself which has a special little thing about it that obviously was the most expensive part so this is it the tent that I've chosen I've left everything completely packaged I've barely looked at stuff let alone tried it out so if anything goes wrong I'm getting wet tonight so here here it is and the reason this is so big and heavy is cuz it's is an inflatable tent so I wanted to pick something that's going to be fairly interesting for myself and for you guys and I thought well a small inflatable tent is not thing you see very often usually they're like family siiz tents if you do find them um don't feel like there's a pump in here I've got my zero pump which is quite tiny so we'll see how it goes we got a little booklet and does it actually have oh it does have instructions it tells you to use a pump but uh we'll see how we do going to guess that this being the rain fly and the pegs quite obviously aha wow there's actually a pump in here I never going to get this packed away again ooh velvety I'm trying out these adapters and the big one don't fit and the smaller one is way too loose so it doesn't want to seem to go on with the frad there maybe I can kind of frad it in okay so I'm an idiot and so are the designers there's four valves all of them are open yet they're all one chamber they're all connect connected and also none of these I was trying to put it straight into the big vent for some reason and done the small one and none of the connectors fit there either but we've done it well there's no Peg out points in the corners which seems dumb to me you got to use these which you're going to want to pull it down guess we'll see well that's kind of worked well it is set up and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere uh I used one um guy for both things I didn't want to pull it around too much there's no wind in here really and this seems pretty tight which is good check out the inside not going to lie Pretty roomy in here two people definitely they probably sell it as a free I've not checked the ground sheet is very thin you'd want to use a ground sheet with something like this underneath which I don't have with me so hopefully when it gets very wet doesn't seep through got a hook on top for a lantern which is good because I've got one and does have a bug net there's just no kind of vestibule or anything like that no porch area so the tent cost me8 48 which is quite a lot really when you think about it not necessarily a lot for something that has an inflatable built into it that's probably going to cost you quite a lot I've seen some tents that cost hundred with that feature but um I guess what matters if it actually holds up to the rain later we got a lot of rain coming so uh I've even done something really stupid oh really clever um got like a velvety liner on the bottoms of these and they seem to be encased well there's Zips there um to repair them and stuff I nearly bought a puncture repair kit with me just in case but I braved it there might be one with the mat we'll see in a minute speaking of which let's get the mat out and here she is still wrapped up um this one should be thicker than the one I had on the um wish.com video uh I paid a little bit more for this it was $39.98 which not particularly cheap um suppose it depends how comfy it is um a little bit bigger than the last one not much last one had that pillow filt in sorry about the noise this looks like the same pillow or the same mat we shall see might as well use the pump again now the nozzles fit again I'm not sure it looks very similar it's even got them poppers for joining more than one together might be a little bit fatter it's definitely got the built-in pillow should do the trick this tent could really do with guy out points in the middle of each side just to stop this flappiness this is the sleeping bag from before also available on teu this isn't sponsored or anything they did actually contact me at some point about doing a review video or something which I I didn't even look into the terms they wanted I thought it' be more fun just to py load of stuff and uh this probably probably two season at best so uh we'll see how we do got my nice camping pillow and I've got my thermals in there as [Music] well I think it's time for a brew I've got this Kettle pot here which you may recognize from my camps with uh Mark he has the exact same one you can get these on Amazon AliExpress all the places and um not a bad pot to be honest as long as these worlds hel hold up it should be good comes with a stuff sack as well which is a weird color now I'm not setting up the fire pit I've bought um just for a brew I'm going to use my X boil which uh got a review of this coming up actually on the review Channel I know right it's been a while oops it's one of my pot Clips but uh yeah yeah it's a great little system and these hangers just go on [Applause] here that's good actually well at least the uh shelter and Sleep System set up just some wood prep and uh well that's it really got the uh fire pit set up shouldn't be too difficult I don't know if I'm using the fire pit tonight or if I'll use it in the morning for breakfast and just have a normal fire tonight have a little think about it see how much wood I get together I also might put up a tarp over there for the morning um because it's me of rain through the night and through the morning quite heavy uh that way I could have the fire pit under the top and cook breakfast over there um cuz obviously there's no vestibule there to do anything out here I don't want to put the tarp over the tent well I do want to but that's not a very good test of it so uh need to stick that up as well this is my Lantern LED camping light all of this stuff is unbranded it's all kind of reference designs I think a factory comes out with them uh people can brand them and sell them as them their own thing you've probably seen stuff like that on Amazon where you PID double the price of getting something from China when it's the same thing uh this I did have to get out because as you can see I had to put batteries in it's uh I believe it was frea if this ever comes off and you lift it to uh turn it on basically and it's got these hangers on it so I'm going to put that up somewhere and um use that later oh this cost £598 so not too bad um supposed to be weather resistant I don't know we'll see I suppose the electronics are on the bottom and that's all screwed up um yeah not a bad price I guess this s is not from uh Team this is my usual Simon bloke in the woods saw um they did have a saw actually and I do have it so I was going to bring that along but um completely forgot between the two or 3 weeks that I ordered this stuff and come out got a few bits of wood but uh sweating I did feel a little dodgy this morning I wonder if I am coming down with something but as a lot of you know I camp with Mark here a lot and he's actually stashed some wood away so I'm going of raid a little bit of that I think get some more in a bit probably don't want to use all these wood [Music] [Music] before I carry on processing down the wood going to take a look at the fire pit and get an idea of if I'm going to use it tonight or just in the morning um £42 48 little pricey but uh have a look it's stainless steel and I've taken it out just to take off the um blue manufacturing plastic wrapped stuff got a grill so this is going to be some kind of stand which will unfold it's nice and and we've got some hooks I going have to look at the picture here obviously this is the pit which I assume goes like so we've got like a great it's not that great oh there we go and we've got the grill I don't know what these are for maybe for lifting the grill I don't know what these are they're not even in the picture I saved some pictures so I assume they're just for picking up the grill when it's hot like so although if it's bent the other way I guess not to worry to be honest I've seen fire pits that are square probably a bit smaller than this for roughly the same price so as long as it doesn't walk up too much it's probably not too bad see some of the blue wraps still on there probably I'll wait till morning to use it though this pack does have a front pocket on it which I did find Handy cuz I wanted to bring an axe but I couldn't quite carry my big one right I've got an opportunity to use my knife this this is marketed as Browning I don't know if that's the same Browning I know does trail cameras and stuff but uh we shall see quite a nice little sheath actually that plastic off doesn't look like high carbon but it does look quite thick like 4 mil or so pinned full tank secured there let's give it a go works that's the tarole set up mainly for the morning we'll see maybe I'll need it later it's not going to rain till 11 12:00 so I'll probably be in the tent by then but it's up and I can be rest assured some gusts of wind hopefully it's bringing in that rain for later not too soon though a little bit tired after doing all that I um been looking at my fire stash there and thinking maybe I should get some more smaller bits for the uh fire pit tomor tomorrow cuz everything's going to be wet tomorrow I have got my jacket but i' rather not go hunting around for firewood in the rain if it can be helped got a little more wood should be okay not going to worry about it too much I'm pretty much all set really I will probably wait till dusk for the fire can't check the weather so I can't see if it's going to rain earlier than when I last looked yesterday but it does keep gusting um yeah just to tidy up a little bit put some stuff in the tent put the fire pit under the top ready for the morning and uh oh get my head torch out I'll show you that this is the head torch um no branding as per usual I think it's the same as a backup one I've got although it looks a little longer it's one of these ones that has the um sensor so you can just turn it on and off like that I find that annoying because you tend to accidentally tur it on and off strap's quite small comes with a USB charger and it's USB c as well uh this was £22.98 so you can't really say fairer than that whatever it's like um hopefully the batter is good enough for tonight should be we haven't got these long evenings just yet always put my headlamp in the pocket of my chair if I have it with me so I know where it is at all [Music] times it's just starting to get a bit darker now so I'm going to light light this started off with a wood wall get a kindling on couldn't be bothered to cut these so I just put them as a base got a few splinters that can stick on first and some slightly bigger stuff too got two beers with me today they're both Cam and Hells um just fancied something little easier on the stomach than the ipas can be so cheers everybody Fire's got off to a good start probably the last of the kind of dry wood of the year before the rains come and winter sets in but uh yeah just starting to get dark and it's very nice cheers again so what did all this cost me well I've got it here £ 25685 which is quite a lot I mean it's not it's kind of a complete setup I couldn't find things like an axe they tiny little axes survival axes that would do no good and stuff like that but um we'll see how the tent goes to see if it's h worth it it's the most interesting thing on the list I think I mean the fire pit might come in handy who knows burn off this Grill cuz it's kept down here in the woods so uh it's a bit grubby all right I've got some coriander and some garlic here along with some oil and some side of vinegar a bit of seasoning and I've got my tiny pesel and water that I've never actually used so I'm going to combine these in the pesm morar and make kind of a Wasa ccka kind of uh sauce something like that anyway so do it bit by bit and just roughly chop this up going to put bit of seasoning there to start it off start to grind before I add the wet ingredients in I'm add a bit of that side of vinegar and some oil going to season up some thinly cut steaks just with some taco seasoning and on the grill they go little oil on there as well going to slice up my steaks my strips they only had a quick burn on each side really thin really simple and nice this just need to put some cheese in the tortilla grab some steak like so fold it over BP your uncle do a couple more of them a bit of oil in the pan here just going to do two of the T oh yeah now for the magic part pry it open get some of that wasakaka spread that EG put hot sauce on here as well at this point and close her back up and repeat look a bit sweaty don't I there we go I've got some steak so if I want to make some more I've got enough tortillas and uh oh give it a go it's really nice and a pretty simple dinner to do camping as well freaking love tacos I mean you might want to call this a case of deer but you know I won't fight you think it's time to stoke this back up oh that's hot nice though well it's been a pretty peaceful evening um quite still other than the odd Bluster in the trees but uh we've got a good couple of hours until it's meant to uh start raining I'll probably get in the tent before then anyway but uh just going to sit here drink this and watch the fire go down [Music] first got the old headlamp Mark uh it's been working fine it's not super bright or anything it's got two brightness levels not much um positioning on it either but it's fine does the job you didn't need to see around Camp you need don't need to see miles but I'm in here it's very spacious I've just got the mesh up at the moment and I can still see just the Embers burning away um my mat had gone down but it's my fault cuz there's another valve at the other end cuz there's a foot pump built in just like on the last one I think it's the same mat I was hoping it was a bit thicker never mind yeah I'm going to chill in here for a little bit um still an hour or two until um the rain was je so uh keep an ear out for [Applause] that you may be out of here 2 hours early the rain is starting it's about halfast 10 and it's just lightly coming through the canopy up there as you can probably hear is got quite a bit heavier it's been going for about an hour now it's been chilling the inflatable parts are holding up and so far so's the waterproofness we'll see how that goes after a few more hours left the pot outside to fill up with water uh just to replenish always handy to have water and uh yeah we'll see how it [Applause] goes it's about 6:00 in the morning um still dark outside there's wet it's not actually leaked I think there is I'm not sure but I think there's like ground water coming up through the bottom small pools and there's a lot of condensation I think bot my sleeping bag's wet that's quite a big pool of water there and there oh God that's a massive one you can't even see it Jesus and my mat's gone down a bit I don't know if you can see the condensation what I assume is condensation [Music] anyway but my mat's wet as well even bits on my shirt are a little bit wet oh God right I think I'm going to put my boots on if they're wet on my neck stuff sacks wet the stuff sack pillow I'm going put my boots on in here get out and take stuff out and put it under the tarer thing I don't know how this water's pulled doesn't look like it's leaked unless it's condensation no that can't be condensation it's got to be ground water or it's got in somewhere wet like that mad is there's pools of water everywhere I mean this this is safe bottom of the sleeping bag there just going have to sort through stuff the jackets wet hope that's just on the outside well that was nice to wake up to I thought I felt dampness when I woke up it's uh kind of that morning Twilight just bird song in the air still pretty dark in here I've just taken out what I know is dry and put under the shelter there um I'll deal with the the wet stuff I'm trying to figure out what's happened I can't figure out where it's come in unless it's has just come up through the ground which have had happen before suppose might as well get this going just going to sit outside of the top for the moment while it's not raining oh I think it is raining yep that's rain well back under the top you can PR hear it it's not super heavy but uh just grabbed a few other bits from the tent and put under here should just pretty much be the wet stuff in there now fire is just on the edge of the top just outside of the top so we'll see how that goes I can drag it under after the big Flames have DED [Applause] down [Applause] starting to get light up in the sky now only matter of time before it's getting down here into the woods still got all the lights on at the moment fire's going despite being rained on pretty hard I think I should have put this TP up a little [Applause] higher uh just dreading putting the tent down in the rain I knew this was going to happen but but it's only when you're actually here you really think about uh I haven't got a microfiber cloth of me to wipe it down I'm going to have to put wet stuff in the bottom of the pack I think make a buffer zone with the stuff sacks and the everything else that needs to stay dry above it um to be honest that map went down most of the way anyway so just going to go in the bin anyway um it's a shame because I quite like the tent in some ways but um if it doesn't work in the rain it's no good is [Applause] it the fire pits working pretty well don't mind it to be honest cuz it's quite shallow you canit fit quite uh long pieces in I've just dragged it a little bit more under the TP a little bit worried it's about 6t should be okay keep an eye on it but um my time is nice and light I should have some coals to actually cook some breakfast on just not looking forward to packing [Applause] away I can confirm that that Lantern is waterproof though has been out all night sitting here by the fire just listening to the Rain thinking how nice it would be just to have a nice Camp under a big top in the rain so I might just do that big 4x4 fire pit under there bivy bag or maybe just like an hour to tent I think that might be on the agenda soon just some of the freedom of space and obviously set it up higher than this just warming a pan up here and I'm just going to Shu in a random amount of cheese slap down a tortilla bit more cheese got some chili paste here that should do and this is not flat so our egg's not going to want to stay [Applause] flat in fact I'm just going to put two in put a little bit of seasoning on there bit more cheese and our second tortilla let squashed them yolks a bit I guess I'll try and flip this [Applause] ooh well I don't know what it is but here it is it's a breakfast case of deer I guess and uh looks bloody lovely that chili uh paste I've not used before it look quite um [Applause] hot wow mhm it's not too hot got a lot of chili flavor but it's not super super hot there was a short break in the weather while I was eating I thought I might have an easier pack up but no it started again I'll put it off long [Applause] enough it's even wetter in here now oh look at that State of that well wasn't groundw coming through cuz that is bone dry underneath so it just basically leaks you know what despite being inflatable and um being water in it that actually went down all right this is the poultry amount of water I've collected shouldn't have put them directly under a tree I think I'm getting a bit fogged up there the rain's getting heavier really bad in burst and um I think I'm going to put my camera away so uh all there is to say is thank you guys for watching if enough of you like this one um maybe I'll do an
