[Music] foreign [Music] paneling that looks like this super quick and easy way so what I'm going to do in this area as you can see it's a small area and it goes around the corner now I put my trim at the same height across the top I think it's going to be it probably will be about there but how I measure out this bit to work out my spacings going off and down the wall what I'm going to do on this bit is I'm going to use my template so I basically draw a line down here put it on the bottom drawer line across here and then when I've got my top rail on again I put that underneath drawer line here and then that is my area in which to do it and then for this bit of the wall it's going to be sort of different because calculated along here thin wide thin wide so it might be slightly different here so we need to actually measure the space but I think I can still get a thin and wide but I will adjust it slightly to fit my design this will also be a thin one this will be thin thick thin so I'm going to draw my lines on and I'm going to show you how I do it then I'll talk you through about the measurements again [Music] just a quick one about how you do a corner um you can see here this goes into the corner and goes backwards and then this bit is I'm gonna go in here it's just going to slide like that it doesn't make your brain go a little bit fuzzy but basically that's how you do the corner so cut that one in there's probably a technical term because I don't know but that's how I did it beautiful right let's take it on [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] is I've marked all the way around the edge with my template it's all the way around the bottom all the way around the sides top corners everything then what I've done here this has basically given me a piece that's 25 centimeters wide so that is pretty much perfect I can't make it any bigger I can't make any smaller really so I decided to use that one make that the same size and then there's the big one in the middle so that's about 45 centimeters which is very similar to what I've done over there so that's going to look pretty good so I didn't use the spirit level when I put the lines because I use the spirit level when I just put my pieces of wood on um I have to have a spirit level so that will make it slightly straight because obviously you've got to bear in mind that this may not be completely straight and the size might not be completely straight but it's only going to be a slightly bit out because my walls aren't that bad so I'll do that when I put the pieces on I do put a bit of blue tape on no one else is amazing um I just think it just holds it just for a few seconds just to make sure it's exactly the right paste and I'll just peel it off so I'm now going to I don't know if I'm going to do a little bit here because when the door shuts it might bang into the door so I may just stop it on the end when you do do cuts on these and all the small pieces make sure you just sandpaper the end so you get a nice little bit the dog is now barking so I'm going to get on with cutting all the bits and attach it all okay I've cut my bits what I'm using is a nice saw bought from home base for about eight pounds I think tape measure pencil and then this amazing little block that I bought everything I've used I will link below this I think was four pounds five pounds it's very well used but it makes the job so much easier I've got an electric cutter that I could adjust but even that makes my brain go smash so I like to use this so I've cut my bits and the way I'm doing the pattern is there's a fat piece on this at the bottom in a thin bit so I'm doing a fat bit on the outside so basically a couple of pieces measure them so just using a tape measure just measure the corner here corner there and then corner here to corner there the outside piece so this is a bit I cut with my miter and then that is the perfect size just like that so I stick it on the inside of the measurement so it'll sit on the inside like that so when I cut it I just like to lay it down just to make absolutely sure it's looking nice and level so there we go I have seen some people there she then will staple this or screw it and put it on like that um but I think it's you've got a risk of snapping it also once you've cut them make sure you use a little bit of sandpaper which I'm going to do now and just make sure the edges are nice and smooth so when I put it on the wall that'll be nice to be obviously fill this with some um filler where you put on the wall so I'm now going to put that on there [Music] when you're putting the glue on obviously I'm using no more Nails I basically just squish not that much pop it off all right so I'm now going to do this bit and as you can see there are marked out my spaces um I'm gonna cut them again and once I've got it on I'll show you oh okay [Music] foreign [Music] just drawing let it dry for about 15-20 minutes then I'm going to be filling on the little gaps and getting it looking amazing I'm just going to try and find my filler because I'm not sure if we've got any left then do a bit of Caulking and then um and there you go there is the finished paneling simple as that I've given it a bit of coat this morning um I've been pulling off the skirting boards actually because I've made any rightness so I'm gonna do it filling there but there we are it's drying at the moment in this lovely color simple as that so I've got to carry on going all the way down there so my advice get yourself a block just like this and it makes it so much easier so everyone's coming so far actually when I first start I put the color on but it's growing on me so I'm just going to keep it that color at the bottom and then white at the top what filling to do out there getting these walls straight but that is that so I hope that was helpful fairly simple and I'm going to be doing a lot more videos in this hallway please hit the Subscribe button because I've just started doing here's a sneaky peek the stairs ripped out the old stairs so I'm filming the process of that getting it looking amazing and the easy way to attach these balustrade ballast rails what we call them I'm also using stuff for that door and we do stuff around the corner building you let's just subscribe we're doing a whole series on the hallway so I'd love you to watch those videos as well I'll link a few videos how I got this wall straight here because this was horrendous using a technique yourself I was gonna have to get this plastered but then I didn't I did it myself for about 30 quid this also had a door frame and I covered that so I will be adding a video about that soon so thank you very much for watching don't forget to subscribe and I'll see you on the next video [Music]
