It's amazing that Beckett is felt so deeply by such a diverse, wide world of people. Those men who acted in this play in prison found meaning along side of the rest of us. They showed us they are not stereotypes, but men who can think. Men who have hearts and minds. Art works.

It's kind of like Beckett via Samuel L Jackson.

and we I beg your pardon where do we come in all I have the need as bad as that your worship wishes to assertive Rakatan we've no rights anymore you make me laugh if it wasn't prohibited we'll toast all right we've got rid of them everything about the book is a part of penitentiary and and from what I can see try to guess that we all had hard times and maybe Beckett had a hard time but you know little little captivity in his in his life it may not have been in a penitentiary but he may have been running for so I mean Suffolk Lee you know I mean because this is too real you know for a person just write some about is an affectation young me you know this is to reopen this is the front line and then it's a square stage it's not that it's it's a square stitch yeah to rabid-ass mind I think I think what is the audience no nobody is not listen there's no now you're facing the audience and then you see here yeah and this in this stage is two square now just like you square is equal to be a crossfade right this will do cross right okay now that's the right here the tree is right here the stone gray of cross Twitter can walk in here like this straight across from between the tree and the storm you see what I'm saying yeah did you have the cross in the middle of the stage yeah like this that's the way we always write all right can you show me this they did not know that man did you not know that I'm interesting act wise people acting after few weeks suddenly saw new demand new dimensions of what acting is because it was read it was there was not acting it was not that kind of technique which can be very dead boring routine nothing to be done all my life I've tried to be reasonable do you have a check tried everything and I resumed the struggle there's not the effect of learning how to act in prison it is not being a prison don't nobody want to be in prison so in order to go to the board of classification and take these bands that they want you to bring in to them with them it's all an act I don't think nobody just come to prison just do the time because you have to adjust you have to deal with it and you have to fake it just wait I said come back with that again you never know what what it's saying is it's more like we compensate you angle is speaking to you you don't hear what I'm saying you know then that final word and your mind will get to click not answer hmm see there's too much acting on printers and it's just a right enough acted you have some that come in and try to put up that tough road they're actively you guys are much better than others you got some that's plan is so hard if you don't have this guy over here wanna try this guy and when he tried this guy he liable to to kill this guy here you know laying dead on the upper your you know that's showing that that guy there wasn't acting well enough the two thieves one I suppose they have been saved and the other one say from well this is not going to I hope how is it that are the four evangelists only one speaks of it deeply insane what out of for do don't mention any fees at all and the third says that both of them abused him who what this is all due to the Savior Wow because he wouldn't say then the two of them back up and damn it why not but why divorce things a little too sane well they don't agree that's all there is to it everybody is the only person they know people are bloody ignorant Apes thank you Tom times I said to myself I never heard that line before because he said it for his nerve system from his stomach yeah in the beginning they know what silence is about and silence on the stage is very important half of the play is silence so many times there have been saying to me that they are just standing by the doors by their bars and just listening to the silence and that's the language they really understand the life is just standing still they still of hold that dignity you know and they're constantly keeping keep thinking that they will you know become free but see sometimes that pain wave because that's mental toll you know and we're getting the stage and fright and some we just crawled it and just balled up in the corner and just go and say you know just lose only sanity our song we're just hanging itself because they can't deal with it knows that happening because they tired of waiting beside ourselves with what you haven't got a bit of rope no then we can let's go wait there's my bill it might be better if we play we can hang ourselves tomorrow I'm basically a loner anyway what do you have a will bringing me back and sometimes a few ties he come over there what's happening it you know you know what's going on man you don't love me no more what's going on man yeah he used to come to the to the to the gym to the two was Hilson Watts Health Center and around that time I was doing a little boxing and you know more or less teaching youngsters how to get a half of things like that and he used to be one of them that come up in there where did you spend the night don't touch me don't question me don't speak to me stay with me you let me go what say goodbye you want me to say it like it is in the book no singer the way you sing it me like it isn't a book Oh doll came in the kitchen and stole a crust of bread then cooked up with a ladle and beat until he was dead then all the dogs came running and does the dog atone and I put on my shades with it don't put all my shades then woke up all the tombstone for the eyes of the dogs to come a dog came in the kitchen and stole across the flames then cook up with a ladle and beating till he was dead and coming to you my next week the records OPA today where we came to the prison we couldn't rehearse all the black people was locked up it was some stabbing yeah yeah like that I mean it's so many different things happening everything every day big things small things we were standing up by the office and I saw this escort in an orange suit with change around their feet when I can take short steps and there's a change around their stomach in the hands or looked up to the stomach oh and then my guy say yeah that's best to play and that is put so lucky let me go say what you asked be careful he's wicked with strength is that him who the dough where's Godot oh he he the kind of equipment nothing of the kind we hardly know him true we don't know him very well but all the same personally I wouldn't know even if I saw him you took me for him what that's to say you understand that does the spray waiting i confess i ignited for a second wait so you're waiting for you well you see here on my land we didn't intend any harm we've been well rollers free job that's how we looked at it it's a disgrace but there you are these day that you live in prison you're waiting on something you're waiting to talk to these canines about a phone call that you'd never make it you waited on a letter that you may never get you wait for a release date that may never get there it's providing you have a lifetime which each one of us have so life the means forever you know saying so and again at fill in that town you know well how to make this my home gotta make it comfortable I mean these little spider ah T try to reframe it as those little familiar to you it's like you live in the past you know I mean you're walking and you're going down a tear but your mind is on a hundred a third and and Wilmington of some on the streets so each day a certain individual in his cell he asking himself what is he doing here but he also saying to itself there's always tomorrow you know but then again tomorrow never gets here but it always passes you might sleep through the morrow when you wake up there's an extra day there for you you didn't lost out whatever you didn't done that day is gone was forgotten hmm but you perceive to the next one here we go what pull on your trousers you want me to pull it down my trousers Oh well shall we go yes let's go good let's say we couldn't do it but it's time yeah I'm really blessed and pleased and thankful that all of you came the three days that you came and thanked you just told me he was going to steal something but I hope you just really do well in New York and many congrats this will be for any her actor the hard time now after after it's closed yeah thinking back and yeah the bittersweet the bittersweet yeah yeah yeah the blind finish how did you work on that five close my eyes to how long all the times the opportunity get their real feelings no other way you stuff may be stuck in the ground okay which one man why can't you get up I can't figure it out the way that I understand is like they were waiting you know waiting for freedom they're locked up or and the you know they're there God doesn't answer no one doesn't seem to answer there is no help you know but they keep waiting keep waiting for a change keep waiting for something better you know but at the end it kind of like what not you know heard the music cried in a way because I thought about him personally you know crying out for help you know hey I'm in here you know I'm not bad you know I may not make sense to you but you know it is just it's just a lot you know that I can you know I'm I'm human too many times we get up here I'm here you know I'm here let's go everything's okay you know I just you know oh boy there you can tell me about this you know it's the emotion I don't know pretend you know as a mother it hurt you know he talked about for Matins and that he felt that he can do and I was 100% behind him even though I was on the telephone you know and I'm proud he said he's gonna pursue well you know the acting you know we don't get you out in time the inmates won't get their shower it's gonna come down to okay I'm sure they'd like to get a shower you guys need me tomorrow when I wake I think I do what shall I sell today that would ask to God my friend at this place until the fall of night I waited for Godot a stri of a grey and a difficult birth down and the whole lingeringly the great didn't puts on the forceps we have time to go home to air is full of crimes but habit is a great debt enough at me too someone is looking about me too someone is saying he is sleeping he knows nothing let him sleep on I can't go on what have I said
