what's up it's your boy chronic depression here and i've got you a sick ass interview from the last video yeah it's like the whole thing except for a couple of boring parts removed but i kept most of them are you ready for fun times okay what should i like i'm a web developer but i hate it all right so yeah what just like hi my my name is uh shady dragon um and i'm a web developer that sort of thing i mean that works yeah that works if you want to do that all right uh like do you want me to say anything else sorry about like over complicating things i'm a very anxious person i completely understand it's perfectly fine trust me i deal with people who are completely not used to this environment and i very much am so yeah you're fine yeah uh so do you want me to look at like you or like where i've been looking which is sort of like slightly above your head okay you can look slightly above my head or at me yeah it doesn't matter just as long as it's not at the lens okay yes wait all right you wanna you wanna do the thing oh yeah sorry hi my name is shady dragon and i am a web developer i started off laughing at the beginning sorry do you want me to do it again we can use that because laughing's fun i i can't do that it's perfectly fine but if you want to do another clean one go ahead i'm not going to tell you you can well okay okay okay hi my name is shady dragon and i'm a web developer awesome things and stuff clean yeah hell yes okay i still didn't organize these from last night so they're completely out of order and it's going to take an extremely long amount of time in between questions to figure out which way i'm going to ask them oh and now you're fine all right all right so the first thing that i always start off with is when did you first what are you doing there your wire get in the way yeah my cables cut so anyway sorry what was the question when did you first join vr chat um so i first joined vr chat like about a year ago and i played very casually on desktop but then i just sort of about two months ago i thought i'd get back into it again i saw like a lot of the like youtubers and stuff playing it um i played it for about a week and then i went wow this must be so much better with a vr headset um and so i got one and yeah now i just play like every day it's a problem uh going off of it being a problem when when were you first like [ __ ] i might be addicted to br chen um probably like the day after i got the headset [Laughter] you answered one of my other questions which is did you start with a headset or that so obviously yeah um it wasn't a problem until i got the headset yeah it was perfectly normal and regulated and then once you got the headset you're like this is it this is where i want to be every day of my life exactly yeah uh what keeps you coming back to vr chat um the people but like not so much talking to the people like seeing i don't know i guess like people watching i guess would be the best way to put it like not interacting so much but like letting people come to me and like having a good time but also seeing what other crap that like other people get up to so what you're trying to tell me is that uh you're into voyeurism [Laughter] uh i mean i suppose sir i guess you could say that how has vrt impacted your life positively or negatively i would say positively because uh like especially like okay i wasn't the most social person before vr chat um and especially with like the the thing that's going on at the moment um but being able to like just go out randomly and be social without like any effort at all um has been really really like it's been nice and like meeting people yeah i had that was a very weird way of answering that question i'm sorry oh no you said it just being yourself is all i can ask you to do an anxious bowl of like anxiety and panickingness great i wouldn't call it great that that's uh i know a lot of people who are like that and they're all like it's the worst thing ever i don't like it yeah oh oh no it's terrible sorry anyway oh no there's like awkward silences in the middle i'm not sure how to like end it and the like anyway sorry i'll stop now yo those silences are good just so you know because it's a good clean point okay that's why i don't talk okay oh of course all right do you consider your vr friends real friends are they just vr friends i would say oh uh that's an interesting one actually i think they're like i group them into like two groups like there are people who i would never want to meet in real life and they're sort of just like but like i still find it really cool to game with and like hang out with in vr chat but i wouldn't like add them on discord and talk to them regularly um but then there are other like really really close people um who i've gotten to know really really well and we like chat daily and um yeah so i get i guess but like very specific people like not everyone but i think that's like fair with like every game i see you trail off and i was just like i know [Laughter] sorry you're doing great you're doing great don't don't think otherwise oh thank you all right all right that's actually honestly the most interesting way that that question has been answered oh really what does everyone else say everyone's just like yeah [Laughter] all right do you have any pub stories or things that just like are crazy that happened or something that's just interesting to happen to you in a public lobby uh i would need to think um oh yes so um there was uh where was i i think what what's that uh midnight room or it's it's like an apartment on the roof and there's like a mini outside area um i can't remember what the name of the map is but basically i was just chilling there rooftop apartment um oh my god uh so i was in rooftop apartment and uh i was just chilling and people watching as i do um and just wandering around and this there's this little poi is that what they're called it's it's like tiny weeny little very cute thing just came up to me and stared at me with its huge eyes um and like it was really cute so i like i bent down and i gave it a little pet on the head um and then like i sort of after i'd done that they didn't really say anything so i was like all right i got back up again uh and i looked to the side and there's another one and i was like okay that's a bit strange um and it was just staring at me um um and then i just started wandering around a little bit um and i went up to like uh i think i went back to the mirror and i looked in the mirror and there was like four of them now and they were like multiplying every time i like looked behind me um i think i said i like after that i sort of like i could tell something was up and so i headed down to like the new area you can go down like stairs and things um and i noticed that they were following me so i started running like all over the map and just like there were more and more of them until like i think there was at least 12 of them just like following me around this map and then uh like i stopped and i stopped running away and i was like is someone gonna tell me what's going on like what's happening um and then one of them plugged down a a portal and they all like gathered around the portal and like pointed like at it at the portal like like they wanted me to go in the portal and i was like all right well i guess this is how i die then um they just sort of wanted to kidnap me uh and i all right and i went through the portal and they took me to the world that obviously all of these uh models come from and they took me to a part of the map that had all of the like um the portraits like the avatar portraits for these characters and they were like pointing at them like choose one but they didn't say anything they just was staring at me and it was really creepy um but it was clear that they wanted me to choose one and then like i picked one and i became one of them and they just started like talking they were like all right and they often just dispersed after that so i had no idea what was going on i think they just wanted people to use the avatars but yeah it was a lot of fun that is very similar to a story from nah he had something similar to happen to him oh right yeah that's crazy uh i was also one who started a cult myself like that what what here uh so you know the big red journey avatar that i have like the main journey character journey oh yeah the like the robe with the the scarfy thing yeah yeah so i i was that and then i would just go up to people and go uh it went on for like four hours and at the end of the night we had like 35 people just following us oh nice going around like circling a singular person and doing it and like did not stop until they joined us so nice it was true i don't like the the really sort of like obnoxious here look at my shaders or um the really really annoying like avatars that play really really loud edm yeah i understand that i understand that even more so like the the toxic raids or whatever that happened every now and again those aren't very oh i uh it's because of those you i used to show all of the avatars um like i used to have pretty minimal safety settings but now because of those sort of people i just block avatars for uh visitors and users now just because it's not worth it and it gives me a headache whenever there's like just loud noises or the shaders that like [ __ ] with your eyes oh i understand sorry can we swear yeah you just work perfectly fine yay all right uh have you ever dated someone in vr oh that is an interesting question like not not in the question itself but the answer i guess um maybe so i may have accidentally a poly relationship yeah in order to like elaborate on it but like i i don't know like it's it's interesting there was no like relationship there and like we both like i knew that there was nothing sort of in it but we got like super close um and yeah so i guess so but nothing ever became of it i guess but i could see myself having a relationship in vr chat definitely and it would be amazing for like a long-distance relationship as well um being able to like to i don't know just be close to your partner if they're on the other side of the world i think that's a really nice idea have you ever erpd [Laughter] yes i think everyone that i've asked i said yes except for a married couple do you want me to elaborate on what i've been through or like if you're comfortable with that go ahead um [Music] i don't know now that i think about it like i was i was totally going to go into like this whole thing i don't know if i wanted that um uh but yeah yeah a little bit and by a little bit i mean yeah a lot yeah okay um yeah i oh man erp and yeah um hold on now this is not a question that i've asked everyone but just like your reactions what is the majority what you do on vr chat are you on gesture erp do you hang out with people too sorry sorry all right hey people watch uh that's not an answer um let me recompose let me let me compose myself sorry most of this video that you're recording it's just gonna be me laughing and giggling like a child um that's fine okay uh so i don't know i don't know how to phrase it without seeming like a [ __ ] no that's perfectly fine trust me i know people who are uh probably way worse than you are ah dude if i could make money from it that would be amazing yo um i would i just yeah hell yeah not even strip like like be a pro sub in vr chat would be like great and i'm sure there are people out there who would want that um but yeah uh well no i don't i would say the majority is not erp i would say probably about 10 of what i do on here is erp so really not that much but when um when i get into it i like it's it's a little bit intense uh to the point where like like i need time to recover um and i feel i don't know because it's in in vr it's sort of like it's pretty close to real life so you still need to think about like any sort of aftercare like if it's an intense scene you still need to like do aftercare which is really weird in a video game yeah um but i guess that makes sense i don't i sorry i went off on a tangent oh no you're perfectly fine trust me those are accepted yeah yeah also if you want to like delve deeper into that i'm totally fine with it i might uh i don't know if i'm gonna do that recording though okay hulu [Laughter] uh since i i've i've known you for a little bit i you got phantom since i do i have very very strong fandom sense oh sorry i didn't put a gap there oh do you want me to start i guess we're starting again you're fine you're fine you can do whatever you want um uh what was i going to say uh yeah i have very very strong fandom sense um to the point where my brain fills in the gaps where i don't know what it would feel like in real life um so like i obviously don't have cat ears or like a tail in uh in real life but like if someone like touches my ears i can feel them um and same with my tail if uh like people have given me head pads and like run their fingers through my hair and i've just fallen asleep um it's really it's really nice and i guess actually i won't say that um um and yeah i guess um i don't know where i was going with that that was a bit messy no no you're fine you're fine i'm sorry um and i guess i guess that also like sort of goes in with the erp question [Laughter] a few people and you kind of mentioned it in the last answer was uh falling asleep in vr so since i know you have uh how like how frequent do you fall asleep in vr um i would say it's not frequent i don't enjoy it it just happens um so uh like if i've just been really really sleepy and i've wanted to stay awake just to chat to someone or like if someone's been petting me and we've been snuggling um and because i've got like such strong fandom sense that usually makes me pretty sleepy um but yeah i don't enjoy it though because of the headset the headset is very very uncomfortable um and it like if i leave it on for too long especially if i'm lying down it leaves like a bruise on my forehead um and also i wear like headphones as well so if i like if i fall asleep on my couch that i'm sitting on now if i like fall sideways it's really uncomfortable on the side of my head so i try not to do it but it just happens what was the question the question is uh for comfortability while falling asleep in vr do you think it's limited to just your quest or all vr headsets um well i've only played uh on the quest and the psvr um the quest in my experience has been very uncomfortable just for general use um but i've yeah i'm i'm not sure i think i would have to try them out um if there was a headset that maybe didn't that wasn't front heavy or like had thinner straps on the sides maybe um yeah i know now loves falling asleep in vr and he's got a rift s much like i do uh i'll tell you what the pad is exactly the same on the quest uh it's garbage it's like it's like really thin so it doesn't like spread out that pressure so it's just like a ring around your face yeah yeah which is like so uncomfortable i don't know why they did it i don't know if they sell them in australia but uh on in your free time look up vr cover they sell these covers that go over there ah yeah the cushions and stuff make them a little bit more comfortable i've seen them but yeah shipping them to australia like it's like thirty dollars or something but shipping them to australia is like another twenty dollars so it's like fifty dollars by the time they get to australia and you can't you can't like order the cover and like the strap that goes over the top of your head at the same time they come in like different packages so you need to pay like two lots of shipping and yeah yeah man that i don't know a lot about australia i know i did definitely want to visit but [ __ ] just hearing about the internet and getting anything shipped is just like i don't think i could live there it sucks although i do have pretty good internet considering like for australian standards i've got amazing internet um which is really cool i've been able to stream for the first time like last week um so it's pretty good shipping sucks and it's even worse now that with sort of uh the legi going around um because uh like there's not as many like planes traveling to and from australia and uh there's also like tax on top of that and yeah it's horrible i work in the shipment industry i work at uh so oh oh fun it's been so much lighter because i got this job last year and then this year oh you have a great time yeah i get to work four hours a day and i still make good money hell yeah there we go right on seeing the light side of the pandemic yeah all right do you remember how we met uh vaguely um i think we were in the black cat i think it was in the fur hub no it was in the fur hub then no i think i i seem to remember having like a conversation or something and then i i think i don't know if it's like any other like interaction i've had it started off with me like waving and then you like interacting with me and then i rely on you to like carry on the conversation after that um yeah i'm sorry i'm not bad about that you don't need to feel bad about that trust me like half the people don't remember perfectly fine it's a little bit of a special case with you though because you were like one of my first vr friends [Laughter] that makes me feel nice thank you for telling me that i didn't know that i kind of story i told you before yeah whatever cares anyway you might have but my memory is terrible oh it's fine it's fine but yeah we met at the fur hub and we like i just i would talk to you in green you were you were the two people that i talked to the most and then everybody crowded around us i don't know why but we were just having conversations and everybody wanted to be a part of it so i think because everyone is like really awkward in their own way i think it's nice if people are already talking that's a nice way to also get social and it's like i think um yeah actually thinking about it like starting off a conversation is the hardest part so if there's a conversation already running and there's like a way like to get into that conversation it's a lot easier to be social and like have a good time with other people rather than actually starting stuff by yourself i think maybe that's just me oh no i understand uh it's definitely not me but i know that's most people most people have have trouble trying to engage in in social interaction just from the get-go i'll just run out of dude and start screaming at him like like someone uh this morning they uh i was doing that awkward thing where you sort of like edge like towards a group to try and sort of start interacting with them um and you sort of hope that they give you like a little wave or something which is like an okay to like join their little group um but this dude i think they were in the valley they just like run up to me and go boop the cat and i'm like no move they can't and then i ran away and then they were running after me and that was a nice little breaker as well awesome since you've known me for i think longer than most people on on this video game on a scale of 1 to 25 how much of an [ __ ] am i oh 25. i knew it absolutely terrible i don't know why i put up with you really i just and lastly i don't i don't think there's any more questions unless you want me to ask more do you have any i'm having i like this i'm enjoying this i'm like yeah you just keep going it's fun go for as long as you want not like i'm doing anything i should be doing things but i'm not like people struggle hard to do things like this because obviously it makes sense you know not everybody's built out for this stuff but like i do a podcast yeah and i talk to people and i i'm very outgoing and i say a bunch of [ __ ] and i just spew garbage through my mouth and sometimes it creates a conversation so i wish i could do that it's easy i mean i shouldn't say that like it's easy for everybody because it's not but like to me it's just so easy that it's really hard for me to comprehend just like because like i have two cohorts who are very introverted they're like they they're very like full of anxiety in that thing yeah i'm just like just introducing yourself just say your name and then it's like it's the hardest thing to them think introverts like rely on people like you in order to get social though like because we don't need to panic about like um like panic about thinking of subjects to talk about we can just like roll with whatever's like already happening and like vibe it out um and know that we're not really sort of yeah sorry because words and things sentences paragraphs english all right uh do you have any questions you want me to ask you or anything that you want to mention or say before i give one my last final joke question um do you want to talk about being misgendered since i'm sure you get that quite often oh yes okay okay okay um i mean there's no one to talk about um so uh i think for context i am a guy i am like cisgendered like a guy so i'm not like anyway um but because of my unfortunate voice or fortunate um i really like my voice but anyway because of my voice people assume things quite a lot and um it's gotten to the point where like it doesn't offend me anymore and i just like [ __ ] with people um so it's it's uh been quite uh entertaining just sort of figuring out like if if someone is gonna take it nicely and joke about it and maybe feel a little bit bad i'll like make sure they're okay but if they're gonna be an [ __ ] i'm just gonna make fun of them oh that's that's so weird to me all right yeah i to be honest i i did thank you that you you were a girl and i would like i didn't give a [ __ ] obviously like i heard you say you're ready and i was like oh yeah yeah okay i can hear it all right like i didn't change my opinion of you i still think you're responsible and i still think you're a cool person to hang out with ah [Music] no and that's that's how it should be like you can't know everything about someone just by like chatting to them or like by um like the sound of their voice or what they look like um and so as long as you're not like an [ __ ] about it you can like ask questions and people aren't gonna mind just explaining what's up and um yeah and i'm the same way and i'll have like a giggle about it because it's funny um i didn't explain that very well at all but anyway i understood what you were getting now uh um yeah i'm on like the flip side of that i am so like very clearly what i am that it's like kind of annoying uh you don't you don't get misgendered all the time you you're feeling a little bit left out yeah i want to know what this new trend is you know what's happening i'll miss gender you look like miss gender on purpose one day and just like see how how you you take it i don't think uh actually i was i was misgendered but this is in real life justine oh yeah so oh okay this happened about like five or six years ago um i have really long hair not any not anymore i actually just got it cut right when the pandemic happened but uh i had really long hair like it went all the way down to my lower back if straightened so it was also super curly um and i was in i think it was a menards do they have menards in australia no is it like a supermarket uh it's like a supermarket but for tools um yeah so it's like very special like home depot or something yeah i like bunnings it's pretty much exactly i don't know what bunnings is so i'm assuming that's an australian thing it's like a home depot except smaller yeah yeah yeah yeah menards is basically home depot but black so yeah we were there and i uh they have like a school section where they got like binders and stuff and i was sitting there okay and i was looking through [ __ ] because obviously i was in school still at the time and this guy coming behind us and was like do you ladies need help and i look at him and i'm like no and i just had my goatee and everything so it must have come as quite a shock that's amazing although yeah i'm misgendered a lot more in real life than i am in video games it's really funny i don't understand it either because like i look like a guy in in real life like i've got hair down to my chin but it's like i don't i don't have like that build and yeah i don't know and i feel like people are a lot more accepting of that online as well like people are more accepting of it's a little bit easier to have online than it is in in real life you know yeah that's fair so weird things are weird ew yeah uh do you just thinking of questions do you have any more questions uh i do have the final joke one you've got the final question well i've got a question for you oh like uh i guess see where it goes uh what's your impression of australians on vr chat i've met not that many on vr chat but i do know quite a few just everyday australians because of my escapades on the internet yeah i mean australians are nice i mean they're like they're about as [ __ ] as they are as like americans but of course it's not you know any different that's good that we don't like stand out as the [ __ ] i guess i know uh so you know i voice act and i i do that like professionally and all that uh one of my directors who was from sydney and she was okay she was super nice and me and her work together we still talk every now and again she's she's really great but the show we were working on got cancelled so yeah it happened i was gonna be satan too ah nuts perfect roll for your your 25 [ __ ] yes 25 25 out of 25 you've got exactly 25 [ __ ] i like all of my [ __ ] i give it a 25. um uh what other questions are there i mean they're just going to be like joke questions from now on anyways so that's fine that's probably anyway i didn't think i've got any more questions that was it you know what do does happen to me a lot it's it's just like we were talking about you getting misgendered possibly every single time you go into a [ __ ] pub lobby yeah like every single time and this isn't exclusive to vr chat this this happens in real life this happens on any other video game when i'm streaming a bunch of [ __ ] right i don't stream often so i want to get that through but every single time it's always yo bro you got a great voice uh what's your youtube channel it's like [ __ ] off i love the compliments obviously because like hey i got it yeah i got a voice but it's just like it's nice it's lovely but you get it all the time yeah i've it's been happening since middle school because my voice has been the same since and it's a lovely voice i really like it too thank you anything is it um but that's another thing as well uh sorry it just reminded me um about my voice there's like the three reactions to it and i like this is going to be disjointed but there's the people who just sort of accept it and go along with it there's the people who are like what no that can't be your voice you can't be a guy what i've got a confused boner um and then there's like the third people who are like real [ __ ] about it and they're like oh dude you shout you're gay and they're usually like 13 and they usually like squeakers themselves um and uh i i don't know where i was going with that it's just uh grinds my gears oh i understand but i think it's i think it's the same thing like it just happens so often well if it makes you feel any better you do sound so gay dude ah just i'm flamboyantly just like oh man i love dick just give me all of the penis are you gay or i i think you're bi right like a little bit just a tiny bit uh no sorry i i don't know sexuality's weird yeah um i i think i would be heteroflexible i think um and that i don't think i would have a relationship with a guy but i snuggle with them all the time and it's really nice and like i can get intimate with dudes ashley no that's pretty gay that's that's very gay so yeah bye i'm bi i'm i'm pan so i you know yeah oh pen actually pen would be closer to what i am i love it it's great penis is awesome all right penis is like weird though they look weird they're so weird it depends on what type of texture you're looking at here are we talking circumcision i own one and i don't i i i don't just both of them i guess this i don't know i own one and i still like i'm weirded if you think it's weird you look at your dick and you're like yo what is this monstrosity attached to my hips yeah why does it jiggle like that sorry anyway ask your questions um this probably won't be used but because i'm very curious are you circumcised or not i am all right sweet how do you feel about it all right well for me it was a medical decision just because uh i i've been through like a lot medically um and it was just to make sure that i didn't get any more infections than sort of necessary it was just a precaution for me were you a [ __ ] up baby like i was i was a [ __ ] up baby well not initially but then i became pretty [ __ ] up oh okay okay i was born and they had to stick me in a bowl i'm sorry i obviously don't remember it but for the sake of the joke i remember rolling around that's amazing all right uh a little a little hamster you're a snow globe get get it wow oh my god except i don't think they did they put like little packing peanuts in the in the globe and like so that it was like a snow globe no no they didn't well like ah missed opportunity yeah it was just so i didn't you know get sick from the outside contaminants no i'm sure as a negative one-year-old i would have i would have ingested a packing peanut if it was potentially yeah yeah but that makes it yeah actually in hindsight probably not the best idea to put packing peanuts in with a child [ __ ] it i'll do it just wait until i have kids let me just call it a snow club all right this has got to end we are 51 minutes in oh god i'm so sorry you're fine you're fine trust me this is all good and i love all of it so the final question okay and you can use you can you can use any of this by the way even like the the lewd stuff and the yeah i don't mind i wouldn't have said it if it wasn't okay uh but i am ready hit me with the good stuff can i have your parents phone number oh yeah sure yeah uh like why because i wanna i wanna call your mom do you wanna i mean i wanna go for tea sometime i don't know i don't know how to respond to that i i was gonna think of something really witty and really like potentially funny but i've literally got nothing i just my mind has just gone
