Volkswagen Karmann Ghia - Fantastic condition!

1970 Volkswagen Carmen gear this one as you can see is in lovely lovely condition sitting just perfect exactly how I would have one personally finished in pampus yellow which again I think really suits the car if you check the description we'll detail everything we know that sort of where the car's been um it's service history all that sort of stuff um it's been in the UK since 2006. it's we've got a huge filing receipts um detailing it's sort of its restoration all the work it's been done finishing in a final re-trim last year or start by having a look at the Bodywork we'll go all the way around it pop the camera underneath all that sort of stuff have a look at the interior and then we'll get it fired up so to start on this driver's side so right hand drive car look down this side you can see it's lovely and straight all the way down nice and smooth not full of filler or ripples or anything like that front driver's wing start in the RT Arch itself is sharp and clean all the way around there's no sign of any corrosion coming through there it's got pretty much the perfect sort of stands for me not too low you can get full luck on the wheels um it doesn't catch anywhere or anything like that but it does sit fairly low which is kind of what you want from a common gear I think got a little bit of dirt there ignore that but there's no marks at all on that front wing at all really really good all your carbon badges are nice and clear and then you've got a twin stainless steel bit of trim that goes all the way down inside nice and straight all the way down it's not sort of coming away at any point or anything like that up onto the top of that Wing again lovely and clean and tidy we're on the filler cup of actually I'm going to pop the filler cup because I did notice when we were going around it so full of Cups just pop from down in here he says there we go hey and there's lovely and clean and tidy but it still has the rubber sleeve on it as well which is nice everything shuts nice and easy you don't have to slam the doors or anything like that but it's lovely and clean all the way down that that front wing to where it meets the bonnet and then up onto this large Scuttle area again you want to watch for corrosion on the bottom but none of that coming through at all very very good all the way around it's obviously had new seals when it's been painted and that windscreen is really nice and clean and clear there's no scratching or anything in that I've undecided whether wipers are it's all good along there coming up onto the roof again nice and smooth all the panels are flat smooth there's no ripples or dents they don't look like they're sort of filled with filler or anything like that really nice fit and finish on the car inside that gutter is all nice and tidy down there and then you've got this sort of stainless trim that runs along the top again that's all good glass is clean and clear there's no ingrained scratching or anything on that I like to say the doors shut really nicely you don't have to give a slab panel gaps are nice lovely and clean on the driver's door we do have one no we don't that's a bit of dirt ignore me I thought what a stone chip but we've missed it right and then nice and tidy all the way on that sill we have one little Stone chip no we don't there there it is one little Stone chip just there where the sill comes away from the door you just see that there but the sill itself all the way along lovely and clean and tidy a little bit of Road Grime under there but see that lips nice and sharp all the way down floor underneath is good it has been sealed but it's not really thick you can't see the floor through it so it's all good continuing our way down here onto this rear quarter and again you quite often get stone chips in this area here where the where the sort of body kicks out but there isn't any that I can see looks to be really really good around the jacking points all nice and tidy and then that Arch is sharp all the way around and importantly you can't get your hand in between the wheel and the tire this will stop you from rubbing on the Wheel nice and clean coming up that rear Arch and then again if we look back up this side is straight all the way up coming around on the back you can see the Chrome is excellent no petting or anything in that the exhaust nice and straight behind the bumpers these are all body colored and finished very nicely around the light all these little attention to detail areas where normally there's a paint run or it hasn't been polished properly or there's a bit of build up of something this one has been done really really well lights are all nice and clean and clear there's no cracks or anything in those so like I say if you look around the light it shows you how well the car's been done and then on to the bootload or engine cover lid if 1500 barge on the left common gear badge which I did notice in the history file had to get sent from the states to get a proper one but it is a nice one so fair play even in these vents there's no build up of any paint it's been finished properly no Mark's taught the note up there and then along the bottom of the rear screen again that's all good all the way around fast is nice and clear you can see down at the parcel shelf which has been trimmed as well what looks like a left out carpet to be there seal on that window is all nice as well coming around on the passenger side if we look down this side again same as the other side lovely and straight all the way down it's not full of filler no ripples or dents or anything like that nice and sharp on that rear Arch all the wheels and tires are in lovely condition with a small White Walls matching all around pop the camera underneath from this side as well see that sill lip nice and sharp all the way down like I said it's not too low so you can get underneath it you know you've got a good good Gap got onto the trailer and everything nice and easy I've had them before where they're really really low and they kind of make them in practice whereas this is pretty much perfect I would say on that one hopefully and clean down that rear quarter I want the passenger door again no side of any marks there all nice and tidy around the handle tremble on the bottom again nice and neat all the glass is clean and clear pop out rear windows on this one as well have a look around the windscreen this side again no side of any corrosion or anything cracking through the paint lovely and tidy on that door and then again that same twin stainless trim all the way down nice and straight front Arch sharp all the way around with a Good Wheel and Tire there's no marks to really know on that front wing it does make for a very boring video but it makes for a really nice car headlights are clean and clear as are the indicators all the Chrome work on the bezels again like I said is attention to detail you know people will happily redo a bumper they'll happily read your pain but they always miss the little bits like the light bezels but on these ones all really really good even the badge is nice there's no fairly on that chrome bumper on the front is as good as the back as is the painted sections pop underneath you can see that low balance is all nice and tidy as well got one or two squash flies which will clean up but there doesn't seem to be any stone chips on the front either which is very impressive and then up onto the Bonnet all nice and straight no ripples are dense in that the body work wise fantastic condition that would sit and be proud on any show field into the interior door shut on the driver's side is nice and tidy as is the inside of the door got black leather trimmed door cards with the original winders and handles and everything platelet section on the top is all good these were done by the furniture clinic in Northeast who've got a really good name nice expensive invoices in the in the service history file but again they were already done middle last year so they've seen really no use at all driver seat as you can see lovely it smells like a new car in here there's a lot to be fair backs of the seats are all good rear bench is lovely headlining is nice and tight they always look a bit dirty on the camera but if we get that nice and close you can see it is clean it's just the Shadows nice wood Rim steering wheel with a polished Center which again lovely and tidy no real signs of anywhere on that it is a AAC so that's air cooled accessories 54 000 miles on the clock again check the description we'll detail what we know as far as history where it's been all that sort of stuff painted section of the dash is lovely and clean it does have one of these sort of digital retro looking stereos we've got Bluetooth aux radio got a really good sound actually we'll play it in a second leveling cleaner on the top of the dash nice and tidy along there we'll uh Hopper on the other side we'll pull the uh Lids of over there as well so obviously your rear lid is there front one in the glove box took me ages to find that on the first Beetle we ever had Everything clean and tidy on that passenger door card no marks the note on the drivers on the day I pass you say door shuts again this seat just as good as the other side carpet set was done at the same time it's lovely and dark this side of the dash is all nice and tidy as well so you don't have to slam it it just shirts it's brilliant and then under the Bonnet you'll see engines at the back we've got spare wheel washer bottles and we've got a tool roll there as well carpet set was replaced here at the same time as the rest which is nice and clean and tidy painted sections are all good underside of the Bonnet it's nice and tidy with a bit of sound editing on there and then round to the back at 1500 CC air cooled engine which again there's receipts for a rebuild of sorts in there with new pistons and things like that we also have a letter for this engine number and VIN number confirming that is this is the original engine um it's the car that it's the engine that the um car left the factory with which is always nice for being really picky it probably wants a battery clamp because it straps a bit ugly I would say but can't be perfect can it lovely and clean tidy around the engine the engine itself is lovely we'll start that in a second on the side of the boot lid is all good if we look underneath there you see it's not dropping any fluid really on the floor of course it's not going to be any cooler either but there's no oil dropping out so no choke nothing at all Stone Cold startup if there's a wonderful we'll give it a little Rev another nasty flying out the back taking over really happy
