Vocal coach reacts to VOICEPLAY I Wicked Medley

god are you human i think i might cry hey everybody welcome back to my channel this is smooth jams with hannah your voice teacher yeah i'm a little sick as you might be able to tell from my tenor voice should i be on vocal rest probably will i be no because today we're reacting to voice play singing an acapella medley of wicked this video comes out and you're gonna expect me to not react to it absolutely not i'm reacting to this it's got acapella harmonies wicked voice play which i've reacted to before voice play i've reacted what have i reacted to from voice play i've only done one from voice play i did the little mermaid medley look how cute i am in the thumbnail like little ariel oh god that is just so adorable isn't it we're gonna react to this are you guys ready i wish i could say that i won't attempt to sing defying gravity in this video in particular because my voice is not it's not in tip-top shape but i make no promises before we jump into the video i'm gonna pass the putty some gloves and what they call a smile stretcher so i have a feeling this is gonna be a very attractive video of me feeling good let's do this you guys know that part in that spongebob episode i've literally talked about this in another one of my videos where patrick is like don't touch me i'm sterile that's how i feel instructions okay impression putty looks like a jello pudding cup it isn't but it looks like it take one dark putty and one light putty and quickly mix putty together to pour one solid color dark and light let's mix these together how's that is that asmr guys you roll putty into a four inch long cylinder and place inside the tray make sure it fills everything most bad impressions are caused by not biting hard and deep enough into the putty using your fingers center the preparation over your teeth and you're supposed to press and hold for three and a half minutes here goes nothing okay we did it now we repeat three more times and you're not supposed to touch it so put it down gently don't even think about touching it round two this is kind of fun it's like silly putty oh i need a good job on that one i can't wait to do this two more times there's my impressions now i'm gonna open this little smile stretcher oh my gosh have you guys ever played that game where you stretch your smile and then you like say funny things i'm really good at that game wow this is cute oh god those pictures you guys are gonna love them i finished my impressions now it's time to send this bad boy off easy that was so easy so i actually chose to get the night aligners because i know that i can make it kind of part of my nighttime routine and then i won't forget to wear them so i'm getting the nightliners but all of their liners are like super discreet you can't see them so like nobody knows you're actually straightening your teeth while you wear them on top of bite being all about confidence and like making dentistry accessible to everyone they're all about did in that thumbnail i was making fun of myself for making the like disney princess face and i just did it again voice play does this to me i don't know what it is this girl is killing it our first are two minutes into this seven minute medley how many times have i stopped i'm really sorry guys my mind is being blown right here my mind splattered all over the camera that is really a gross visual this gentleman right here i remember him i remember him from the little mermaid medley can he sing with a clear mix or what he is way up into like a soprano all the way up into like a soprano range and he is mixing through that so clearly which means that he's anchored into his chest voice but he's in his head voice range like way up there his range is insane [Music] it's just so good [Music] [Applause] [Music] be offended by my great analysis think of it as personality dialysis now that i've chosen to become a palace during the divisor their set is really good too when it comes [Music] she's so good [Music] those riffs i'm sorry babe also i just have to say bell sleeves are those coming back in fashion because i hope so they have just like the right amount of drama and like a little bit of bouginess that i need in my life i would like all my shirts to have dramatic sleeves thank you very much [Music] i mean his range is already impressive right just the fact that he can like hit those notes amazing but he's singing them with a lot of clarity and ease i want to hear his natural speaking voice honestly because like you can tell that he is a natural bass and i want to hear his natural speaking voice it's actually pretty rare to come across a true base most lower voices are somewhere between like a baritone tenor range same thing with most higher voices or some form of soprano like a mezzo soprano soprano but coming across like a true alto and a true bass like today i am a true alto just kidding it's rare and he is killing it and he is clearly a true base and his low notes are insane [Music] [Music] effectively i love that this isn't just like the most well-known songs out of wicked but it's like all of the songs i mean i think it's all of the songs i'm only halfway through i love that like i am just waiting for defying gravity [Music] i have chills i've heard it said that people come into our lives for a reason bringing something we must learn and we are led to those who help us most to grow if we let them and we help them in return well i don't know if i believe that's true but i know i'm who i am [Music] okay hold on okay first of all this girl's voice i'm pretty sure that she's saying the ariel songs in the little mermaid medley so fantastic but this is giving me chills this is just one of my favorite songs it's such a beautiful concept that like there are many people that are meant to come into your life but that doesn't mean they're meant to stay forever like they come into your life for a season and change you forever okay all right i see them but trust me they're there i've always like felt music really strongly maybe some of you out there feel the same way a beautiful song like i'm crying even if it's not sad a beautiful song no matter what it is like i get like overcome with emotion this was so fantastic like the harmonies are out of this world this arrangement so cool really unexpected i love that it like kept a lot of momentum like it had a really cool beat throughout the whole thing they added some riffs and kind of made it a little bit more pop but not too much and this beautiful goddess who sang defying gravity girl if you are watching this video two thumbs up that's what i can offer you through the screen good job holy so amazing and i was already complimenting her on her very strong mix at the beginning of the song but then to like pull out a really beautiful balanced belt on defying gravity that is a really hard song i mean i probably i don't need to tell you guys that like it's clearly very very difficult man she did that so well all of them such a great blend the arrangement was incredible the chords i love that when it got into for good it was just that one singer singing by herself that's
