Vocal coach reacts to THE FLASH musical episode

about superheroes that's about it but i did hear that jeremy jordan was in this and that moved it to the top of my list if you want to see me react to any other musical episodes i'm going to put what i've reacted to over here which includes glee not exactly a musical episode i guess every episode's a musical episode and i also did once upon a time and by the time this video comes out maybe i did other ones this is going to be really fun so without further ado let's jump into it i have my tea is it ready to be consumed let's see no i'm going to skip the recap i'm just going into this blind it's going to be fun [Music] i love that movie everything's better in song when you sing you open up your soul and let who you really are shine through i love you my beautiful boy i love you too okay well that's so cute again what is it with you in musicals these days anyhow everything's better in song it's true everything is better in song i do agree with this i know you've been going through a tough time since iris broke off the engagement or i guess well technically since you broke it's hr like human resources i know that's probably not what he said let's turn the subtitles on in my once upon a time video there was a scene where i couldn't understand anything emma was saying because she just whispers what what are you saying and then i just forgot that captions exist so i definitely could have turned them on i'm gonna do that now what did you just say it's hr okay it is hr is it hr at work do they need to go talk to someone that's hilarious someone's coming through could be dripsy someone's coming through this terrifying portal ah super girl what happened to her we don't know but whoever did it has come to this world [Music] i'm into it this is fun but no one's sung yet i mean we got a little bit of singing in the rain but no one's sung yet and i'm feeling a little bit squirrely like come on come on when is the singing gonna happen we need to find whoever did this to cara and punch him repeatedly until he reverses whatever spell he put on her wasn't that guy in vampire diaries he was like the devil or something wow man that show was really weird anybody watch that show i think he was in vampire diaries my name's monel yep definitely friend or more more than friend friend we've been kissing a lot oh she never mentioned she had a boyfriend and that girl what's her name why do i feel like it's danielle panabaker she was on disney channel a lot what do i know her from my gosh i was right that is her name sky high that's what i remember her from oh man why do i know that why do i know that i don't know what happened to her an alien prisoner escaped our custody he did something there to put him in some kind of a coma then he disappeared we tracked him here and followed okay but why would he come to this earth were they on a different planet or a different dimension they came through a portal are they aliens i feel like superheroes usually are like from different planets superman was what's supergirl's story don't know no idea his last words before he disappeared were about finding the fastest man alive is that him if there's one thing i can do let's find breachers i like him his hair is luxurious it's like you just materialized out of thin air you mean like this i need singing give me singing they're not singing hello barry allen this is daryn kris know your name i i know a lot of things and i can do a lot of things too ooh i like him i love a bad boy i guess he's not just a bad boy like he seems like the villain i love it enemies to lovers my favorite what do you want with supergirl same thing that i want with both of you to teach you all a lesson teach me a lesson darren chris is that all you got kid flash i mean you look a little scared and you're too slow whoa 99 fletch oh boy please tell me you're going to start singing finally we're singing i'm very excited about this cara this is supergirl yeah there's a lot of air coming through her sound and she's also keeping her vowels really open one day and it would probably help her mix a little bit better if she narrowed them a little bit one day thinking more up and down versus side to side she looks beautiful i like her dress [Music] it's really pretty i like her voice i like also that i'm not hearing a lot of auto-tune depending on the musical episode or depending on the singer you might hear a lot i can hear the really sweet quality to her voice so i like that and she's going up to so she's all the way up in her head voice and there's a little bit more air there [Music] oh she's making the flash cry [Music] that's really beautiful i like that my huckleberry friend [Music] i'm sorry we are acting at this moment look at her face do it again cara she's just chilling in her elemental berry forever [Music] very lovely good job cara barry it's you think rao thank who think wow think around wait what's going on i was hoping you could tell me or maybe explain to me why i just pulled an audrey hepburn and sang in a nightclub maybe we're dreaming the same dream hold on my tea's ready to drink so tea break okay your boyfriend brought you to us he is not my boyfriend he he's just a boy who is not my friend he's my nothing that you've been kissing i love love we just need to figure a way out i guess i could click my heels together three times yeah i was kidding all right well okay well if you're not gonna come up with any ideas and i hope you got something better in your song book than what you were belting out up there blondie hey don't call me blondie yeah look i don't know who you are but obviously you're a little quick with night you'll have to excuse my friend he doesn't think before he talks and nothing i've heard before i want something original this is interesting i like the premise i like that for some reason in this coma they have to sing that is fun refreshing the tone of the episode is very interesting i feel like we started as very serious cars in a coma like what are they gonna do about this and then we have some like little goofy music in the background like what are we supposed to do we're singing and then now this guy just like pulled out a switchblade there's a lot going on man you're here too who's win the name is grady i took all the keys around here say you realize how we got the nickname cutter don't you no because he likes to cut people you ask me i think he's all talk oh all their friends are there why we'll never know yeah it's like the wizard of oz yeah and you were there and you were there except it's not really them they're all playing characters in a musical barry where are we we're in a musical episode the show must go on sing dare and i loved your rendition of moon river such a beautiful song you're a little flat in places but i'm willing to let it slide just because you're so cute darren's my favorite character you created this world what is going on with darren's hair i feel that i must comment on it it's like sleek over here and then it kind of looks like he burned it off like have you guys ever burned your hair like with a curling iron and it gets like wispy at the end darren what happened did you give yourself a perm or something how do we get out of here you're in a movie musical so all you have to do is just follow the the yellow brick road no the the script oh if you die in here you die out there lovely if you die in the game you don't come back i'm so excited put a little love in your heart you see it's getting late oh please don't hesitate put a little love in your heart yes jeremy dancers you oh okay wait i don't know this guy's name he's great this is what i signed up for this is what i signed up for i'm so excited as usual i have to figure out what that top note that jeremy just saying is a flat a mixing king he's really good too jeremy you charming bastard maybe you guys don't care about exactly what note that is it's high it's impressive why even talk about it but here's why because that's a c5 and i know in jeremy's voice that's at the top of his second passage and he's singing it with so much depth and clarity it's connected and it's strong that is amazing and very hard to do so he is a mixing king so amazing they all have fantastic voices [Music] i like the choreography wait stop okay jeremy just sang the c5 again and it was really good jeremy you're stealing the show i like those harmonies yay loved that number love and ensemble number the dancing darren and two other guys fabulous dancers also i know that darren chris and jeremy jordan you know they've got like a lot of musical theater experience i don't know about these other gentlemen but when a show does a musical episode not every single person has singing experience usually and so to hear all of them together and they all sound really really good like this sounds like a full production i love it i'm here for it we're singers and apparently we work for a gangster yes who wants us to perform for him i mean honestly it's pretty straightforward right yeah hello hello hi hi miss being bulletproof you come with us says who oh says me that was rude are you okay oh please stop yelling i'm not yelling are they like best friends they've got good best friend energy i know seems like he really cares about you manel only cares about himself he lied to me about who he really is for nine months i can't shake it this is kind of a big deal i don't know the story i don't know why he lied or anything but like lying about who you are for nine months but they still like to kiss each other a lot apparently so you know maybe they'll make it through then i pushed her away so i could focus on saving her and it's just a mess now hmm everything's so simple when i'm running we're flying shut up boozy oh my gosh it's daddy warbucks do you guys know from annie daddy warbucks why did i say it like that i remember watching when they remade the movie and when it came out i think i was like the same age as annie yeah how cute so it came out in 1999 no no it was released in 2000. so i was seven and a half so i remember watching it and being so excited when my mom or my dad i can't remember said like you could do that yeah you could sing like her i remember that like i was like oh my gosh i could do musical theater isn't that adorable hey daddy warbucks scary music he's a bad guy it's them sing a song i run this town so you're the mayor so you're the mayor that was really cute have you seen her in there it's their friend if anything happened to her this town will run red with blood starting with yours we wouldn't want that now right so um how can we help you we're gonna find her sir we're gonna find her without their superpowers they're not very tough oh the costumes i love it this is where we can find iris millie millie right yeah she's like her hat or to the wise you go digging around in this dirt i've never seen a movie musical that's like a mystery i like it oh my god that's her it sounds like she's in trouble here stand back i'm gonna kick the door no you stand back i'll kick the door well i didn't mean like a gender thing i just wanted to kick it in right together all right one two three i laughed so hard i almost fell out of my chair oh it's embarrassing that was adorable it's not a gender thing i just really wanted to kick down the door he's got a good point what the hell is going on we're in love oh gross oh don't say that don't say that that has bad implications in this current time period don't say that they're being drained the guy who did this to them i think he's stealing their powers shocker power up [Music] i am living for evil darren chris we got to bring him in no not we me now this guy looks familiar too did he do some disney channel who is he let's find out looks like kanan lonsdale keenan lonsdale oh my gosh he was a dance academy you guys ever watched dance academy a million years ago i got really into it i binged all the seasons on netflix he was kind of a jerk on that show wasn't he am i remembering that correctly yeah yeah anyway carry on look john uh i respect this whole special agent situation you got going on but this problem right here needs someone with green skin and a sick ass cape call me the martian manhunter oh that was really weird i think you'll find that john's a lot more than just a pretty face are you more than a funny face he's very cute that is such a cool portal all right that looks pretty cool and i'm not afraid of anything prove it damn it's so pretty do you think people in that city just like look out the windows and they're like oh they're running by again kids the lights come on and they just watch them run around that's what i would do are they fighting are they racing because it kind of looks like they're racing like last one to the traffic stop loses he got him why am i disappointed by that i can't help it i really like the villain maybe it's because i think i can change them i'm like darren give me a chance we could be good together darren you're getting your ass kicked get up nighty night if our geezers have a car win to this they'd go to war it'd be the end of more than just us huh i like that guy so i think if we convince them to tell their fathers that they're in love maybe that'll get us out of here and back home i just don't think that telling two gangsters that their children are in love is gonna end very well like we all know romeo and juliet that just doesn't seem like a great idea to me but i love love so forbidden love it's great that's a good trope you can't let your love for somebody calls you to be afraid of what might happen you got to take the good with the bad no matter what and that includes telling your fathers how you two feel about each other these strangers make a good point all right you make a convincing argument we'll do it we'll tell them about us right well we should go now gee thanks kid oh no something's wrong they're not gonna do it wow okay uh convincing people in musicals is really easy yeah oh i thought they were gonna like trap them in there or something dads there's no reason to be concerned dads they're together problem with that i had no idea i love musicals so dad look we're in love the hell you are he's a hooligan his father's oh look at his mother hey not in front of the girl and you're not loving that boy too late she isn't your little girl anymore well she isn't she's an incredibly brave strong woman one look and you can see that love feminist barry first he wanted to kick down the door and that was really cute and now he's hyping up his friend iris strong powerful woman i like it when you find a love like that well you got to hold on to it no matter who's trying to stop you oh that's clear to me now maybe if you just listen and and hear his reasons and try to see things from his point of view maybe glaring everyone could understand why he didn't tell you before now i've always taken care of you we just want you to be happy ooh saying girl i'm ready velvet i can wish you for the color of yours oh this song is unfortunate smiling all okay he's got a great voice but this song is awful isn't it it's from guys and dolls sarah's grandpa sings it to her or her father i think it's her grandpa it's so boring it's so bad it's a song that should have been cut from the show clearly have very passionate feelings about the song anyway i'm gonna try and ignore how much i don't like the song and focus on the beautiful vocals [Music] [Music] okay whatever your name is daddy something that was amazing do it again when your hair has turned i love that but more i cannot wish you than to wish look at him turning this into a belt [Music] ah family love so sweet let's move this forward we're going to war we had a feeling what hold on we're going to war we are going to war what the hell after that beautiful fatherly love song fix them now i'm sorry i can't if you ever want to get out of that cell that's exactly what you're going to do they are the only ones that are in control of what happens to them now as are the two of you us what does that mean how much do you love him iris whoa hold on so barry the flash is in love with iris and cara supergirl is in love with that guy i don't remember his name is that what's going on so it was pretty weird to see them kissing because it was like their significant others kissing each other i think i'm getting it i think i'm getting it i can't tell you sorry you got it you got to figure that out yourself now if you don't mind i'm going to just chill this wonderfully decorated little cell of yours bye guys good luck love will find a way you can do it power of love and all that my love is snarky villain we have to finish the musical yeah uh do you do you happen to know anything original as a matter of fact i've been working on something all day i'm so excited i'm your super friend your super friend he knows how to tap dance i'll be there in the nica time if you're ever in a spot but wait he actually doesn't know how to tap dance this is amazing in my once upon a time musical episode i asked are they going to start tap dancing now and they never did and i was really disappointed this is very exciting did you guys know i tap danced for like 10 years i got to be pretty good at it and then i stopped and so now i don't remember anything but this actor is actually tap dancing he's so good i wonder if he knew how to tap dance before this or if he learned because he looks great i'm your super friend [Music] super friend the taps don't match up with what they're doing a compliment [Applause] [Music] when it comes to buddy's pal you're the best i love you more than the lightning bolt wear on my chest if you're ever sad i'll bring your flowers you can miss soprano as one of your powers you can list soprano as one of your powers i love that as a soprano i appreciate that if you're ever broke i've got the cash on my couch you're welcome to crash i'll be there in a flash barry that was funny that was it was good look at her dress that was really fun again i say great best surprised when they get shot i mean i don't want to victim blame but that seemed pretty reckless stop like what is he thinking dumb uh-oh oh my god girl you're gonna get shot idiots i think we're losing them now they're dying can you stop it cisco you can buy us there i don't think it works that way you sent me into the speed force you sent barry and wally into the future you can do this too what are you talking about you guys better talk faster they are seizing exploring those tables come on just grab onto my shoulders let's hope this works barry we've both been shot we couldn't have was strong enough after all man how did you get out of the cell do you really think that cell is gonna just like hold me i told you when we first met it was to teach all of you a lesson and that lesson is love supergirl love is about letting yourself be saved it's not just about saving other people even if you are superheroes wait i'm i'm sorry that's it you're just gonna teach somebody else a lesson yeah that's exactly what i'm gonna do oh think of your fellow man lend him a help in hand put a little love in your heart he disoperated oh i love love barry has an amazing voice he does i've actually seen him think is that his sister how have we not made a gif of that of course caller can sing well her name is supergirl it's kind of implied right they can all sing don't put yourselves down if you lie to me again i will drop a mountain on you wow you mean figuratively no i mean geologically okay geologically that's cool about you guys all right i'm gonna pause for a second this is almost over i have some confusing feelings about darren chris's motivation does he not come back is he literally just a villain that shows up for one episode to teach everybody a lesson it's a little bit after school special for me however did really enjoy darren chris's scenes i like a snarky villain you know me enemies to lovers it's my favorite trope and i liked the music i did there weren't as many songs sorry we have four minutes left there haven't been as many songs as i thought there would be are you guys gonna sing again please sing again this is a glorious apartment my mom used to always say that musicals have the power to make everything better it is so sweet did it work can't say how the days will unfold can't change what the future may hold but i want you in it stop i'm already gonna cry he said i want i want you in it oh my gosh every hour every minute [Music] this world can race by far too fast he has got a fabulous quest hard to see while it's all flying past but it's clear now when you're standing here now i am meant to be wherever you are next to me [Music] all i wanna do okay whoa hold on all right i'm covered in goosebumps i didn't expect them to throw in this beautiful song at the end so he's on a g4 right there but he's choosing to make it more of a head voice versus a chess voice or like a stronger connected mix oh man but this song is so beautiful is this what song is this is this an original song to the show i've never heard it [Music] before [Music] and i could see it right from the start right from the start [Music] oh my gosh there's the note g4 he just chose to make that a stronger mix versus what he did before with making it more of a head voice that shows a lot of control in his voice we have to listen to it again it was so [Music] gorgeous but to [Music] keep running home to you keep running home can't change what the future may hold but i want you in it every hour every [Music] will you marry me yes yes i'm gonna cry okay didn't expect that running home to you written by basic and paul that's why i liked it so much you know paisley and paul of dogfight and dear evan hansen and other things that i can't remember right now you guys know it greatest showman i'm gonna be riding the high from that last song all day it was so beautiful okay last song highlight of the entire episode those last four minutes i literally felt like he was kneeling in front of me if anyone were to kneel in front of me singing that song i'd say yes yes i have a husband yes i'm in a committed relationship but could you say no to that no no no no definitely my favorite part i also really liked the tap dancing number because it felt like a production i was very entertained by this i wasn't as lost as i thought i would be which is great in other musical episodes i pretty lost oh my gosh but that was really fun i really really enjoyed that what other musical episodes should i be reacting to what should i be watching please let me know
