wanted to film something fun today and i was sitting here and i was thinking what the heck am i going to film what do i want to watch and it just came to me today i'm reacting to the first episode of hannah montana was i prime hannah montana h i think maybe i was a little bit older but i did watch a lot of hannah montana i think it came out when did i come out let's find out 2006 oh no i was 13 13 when it when the first episode aired all right so maybe i was a little bit older hey no shame i loved it it was great i was the same age as miley cyrus and i kind of thought that that was so cool that i could have been her in an alternate universe in another life i was very wistful about that but today i'm a voice teacher we're gonna react to the first episode and we're gonna have a lot of fun and hopefully she sings a lot in this episode i rolled back too far let's go i think i'm going to remember all of these songs look at those sunglasses hold on when i grew up and i was watching disney channel they dressed them in a very specific way where somehow you watched it and you were like oh she looks so cool but also nobody dressed like that so she's wearing these sunglasses and the very long skinny scarf with like the sequins i mean it's a look but nobody dressed like that she sounds so good so young though bow out needle in finger sharp shooting pain i'm sorry fairmaine you look gorgeous you're gonna look beautiful in your finale okay she does look really cute actually i i would wear that for sure also this wig that she's wearing is way cuter than the wig i think they put her in for most of the show like those straight across bangs these like kind of curtain bangs they're very cute was she 14 in this is she younger than me she looks like she's 10. she looks so tiny yeah that's right girl i know hannah montana and i got two incredible tickets for tomorrow night i need two incredible seats for tomorrow night the acting is just top-notch she's your best friend miley sooner or later you're gonna have to tailor your hand in montana i picked later oh it's such a cute premise i just love it i love that for so much of the show her friends do not know that she's hannah montana like come on she pick some dumb friends just kidding i love lily and what the other friend's name is i can't remember you and i i being your best friend are going to see the one the only you're not kidding why aren't you screaming oh believe me she's screaming on the inside oh my gosh the transitions oh whoa do it again hannah miley [Music] [Music] so miley cyrus is now singing a much different style like she sings with a lot of rasp and edge to her voice it's closer to like a rock sound more than like a mainstream pop sound and i think it fits her voice so well even miley at like 12 13 14 when she was on this show what we're hearing now like you can hear that a little bit more heaviness in her voice and i mean that in a good way her voice had this heavier quality a little bit more rasp and i think that's so cool i think that's really cool that she's come into her own and figured out what sounds best for her voice and of course that being said she sounds really good here she's a very talented child i think i have this entire song memorized because i sing it sometimes [Music] i love the transitions hey miley what's his name high school musical guy oh corbin blue i am so sorry corbin blue i knew you immediately i just i lost my head for a minute you know what a lot of people don't know is is it's also a wonderful moisturizer here isn't that lovely moisturizer you're pretty funny don't put ketchup on your hands i mean you do what you want don't put ketchup on other people's hands you've been totally crushing on johnny collins for a month they named him johnny collins johnny collins really i don't believe that that's anybody's name i don't believe that johnny collins is a real person's name that sounds like a robot name but it's definitely not corbin blue's name you got to give him a better name than that you're smart you're funny and you're totally cute best hype girl booger check you're so froze oh claire good to go lily's a good friend we all need a friend like lily hey johnny hey amber ashley we were gonna sit there amber and ashley those are good bad girl names like mean girl names is that a zit are you growing a new head i'm sorry lily's stealing the show she's the best character that i've met so far best character great hype girl she's a good best friend i love the fashionable best friend i talk about that a lot i just made a take talk about it actually the fashionable best friend and i think that that's who we should aspire to be you know because they're like pretty unproblematic they have great sense of style they're good friend and they don't have as much drama as the main character that's who i try to be also have you guys noticed how strong miley's southern accent is in this show like that has toned down a lot over the years however you're not gonna believe this oliver that's his name you have an extra ticket to hannah montana that was really loud wasn't it lily really needs to stop pressuring her friend said no listen gosh that is such a nice house that is literally a beachfront house billionaires what if they found out i was hannah montana no one would treat me the same i bet lilly would if she knew the truth i'd never be just smiley again oh i know you're concerned that if lily finds out the truth that she won't treat you the same that little exchange and she says she'll never treat me the same how's my accent then immediately he's like i know you're concerned that if you tell lily the truth she won't treat you the same yes yes dad that's what i just said at least think about telling her okay not gonna happen i like miley finally we're singing guys did you have any idea what a great mixer hannah montana is let me tell you about it so that top note that she sings goes up to a b 4. i really like it because she's mixing through that this is the life life hold on tight hannah montana covers coming by hannah bales very soon that is really great especially when you're going through that time in your life when you're going through puberty no matter who you are or your gender your voice goes through some changes and so that's tricky and she's mixing through it really smoothly she's not transitioning to like a pure head voice and i'm actually quite impressed with that [Applause] and then she's getting back to her chest voice it is a little bit breathy a little lighter than her normal chest voice but she's a good mixer also her wig's different hey josh another fan look at billy ray cyrus back there okay i know that you have to have a disguise but like a legitimate handlebar mustache does he like twirl it like an evil villain great shogun i'll go check on the limo your mama would have been so proud of you uh oh we're getting to the dead mom doesn't it always seem like disney movies disney shows the mom is always dead what is it about that that feels bad it's gotta be because if the mom was actually alive that mother would never let the princesses fall in love with their prince on first sight she'd be like whoa let's like pull back a little bit let's think about this and i think if hannah montana miley's mom was alive she would be like why are we giving our 13 year old daughter a double life why are we doing that bet you anything this is so creepy best character in the show i stand by that she's chaotic and i like it although she is sneaking into this dressing room which is kind of creepy you have to get out of here right now i'll call security wait wait no i'm sorry i was just looking for a souvenir i was just looking for a souvenir like to steal what that's not okay there had to be a better way what's wrong with your voice um that happens after every concert you give so much voice teacher psa your voice should not sound different after you sing for a while if it does probably something's off just throwing that out there aren't you gonna get that uh no i'm talking to you that would be rude okay this show is really funny wait can't diamond shampoo and condition your beautiful blonde hair also creepy well i guess i'm leaving too okay without even a towel as a souvenir i love her hey i have a lucky bracelet just like that i loaned it to my best friend yesterday of course mine says lily on the back just like that i'm on the edge of my seat you kept just about the biggest secret in the world miley stewart slash hannah about johnny collins he'd be yours if he knew no how could he be so selfish selfish friend you'd want this for me if you were my best friend you'd understand why i can't do it come on come to some slack hannah hannah i knew this would happen oh that sad oh billy ray in his green striped shirt and like slicked my hair wowza the fashion choices things are gonna be a whole lot better around here now that you know our little secret rude you had a fight and now you sit and stuff your face you got the processed sugar blues that's the worst song you've ever written she obviously doesn't remember the potty training song i like to sing i like to dance but i can't do with poopy in my pants this episode did not have as much singing as i thought it would so welcome to vocal coach reacts to just a regular episode of tv did you like it are you having fun billy ray cyrus has such a good voice where that rasp that he just threw in there so good she found out who i was and now it's ruined everything you don't know that for sure mom you haven't even heard the story you haven't asked her what happened when he started on the show he was like 30 right it's weird if you got it flaunt it why am i laughing so much at this show why don't we uh step out on the patio and give these girls some privacy okay but i'm gonna need some sunscreen my skin's like a baby's bottom a little too much information cowboy this character yikes wait miley i'm sorry i called you hannah that was major news you got to give me a little time to get used to it you're my best friend and when i was sitting in my room all upset you're the one i wanted to talk to not hannah montana oh here i go lily you absolute gem you are such a drama queen hugs best friend love you're pathetic ooh i love that i want like a best friend handshake thing like that can we come up with one that we all do together let me know what you think put your ideas below [Applause] oh my gosh way less singing in that than i thought there would be i had a great time hopefully you guys you guys did too i want to react to more of miley in hannah montana and see some of her vocal progression because we we love miley cyrus obviously she's got a fantastic voice i did a reaction to her on my tick tock a while back she was singing and running on the treadmill how did she do that i'm seriously still so impressed but this is so cute like actually miley and emily osment their acting's pretty good i think lily best character in the show at least in that episode she's my favorite she's my fave she stole the spotlight but also milo is so cute they're chemistry best friends i love it i love a good best friend's story oh it was so cute if there's anything else i should react to maybe some disney channel original movies that have
