Vocal Coach Reacts to Dimash Kudaibergen - Opera 2

hey guys I'm Tara with Tara Simon studios and today I'm going to be reacting to damash opera - this was done in 2017 this is the first time that I am watching this I believe that it's a live performance so I'm super excited about that I'm gonna be giving you my candid genuine honest reaction as a vocal coach to what I am seeing and hearing here we go [Music] I love the witness's breath there to create suspense is history [Music] [Applause] [Music] Wow okay we're stopping that guy he's going oh that's crazy okay so a very abrupt departure from the first register that he was in which was all chest and he just would it was beautiful slide up it's high note and not only is it high and it takes a lot of breath to reach that note as a girl also as a guy it does even more so and he held it for a long time and he worked his way down which is even more impressive and he didn't end with the tell-tale sign of okay I'm kind of out of breath like you could tell that he actually sort of could have continued which is amazing and yeah dude I'm making that face too that was insane he's a really wonderful vocal technician dommage he is just so in tune and keenly aware of his vocal capabilities at every moment in the song and this is a perfect example of that we're gonna continue [Music] yes yeah yeah that's right give it to him such a high range so any notices fingerless [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] sister or two perfectly placed dropped and watch [Music] he knows we tell you it is all in that village [Applause] [Music] crazy [Music] [Music] look at his mouth look look at this technique I mean when you see his jaw drop when he goes all the way up that note is so perfectly placed it is so nicely held and locked and into place it is not searching for a place to be it is there and it's not moving anywhere it's it's so secure in in that spot of resonation and his voice and he knows it too which is amazing you got to know your voice so well to be able to do that the vocal control it takes and the range of course that it takes to get up to a note like that is astounding for a male to be able to do that and what I love about his live performance is that he's totally playing and interacting with the audience he's like you want a little more yeah you think I can't go any more I got to and then he like conducts himself to go even higher right and I don't know if he's done we have about 30 more seconds so I have a feeling that we're not finished with the amazingness that we're hearing right now let's keep it going yeah crazy [Music] yeah [Applause] now I will say that when when he's on that bottom up and you see his head kind of go like that that's not his fault that's not a lack of good technique that is resonation in your in your skull happening so drastically that it's moving for you he's not trying to make it happen that's an involuntary action his jaw is dropped where it should be the note is supported where it should be it's not like his jaw is going it's his head that's going because there's just so much resonance there that's not as high of a note for me so I my my head isn't doing that but for him that is extremely high and it's so tonal that his head is literally vibrating on its own okay that's not uh that's not a bad technique kind of thing right there [Music] yeah I thought that Mike while you're at it dang lamashtu mosh mosh amazing amazing he is just I'm sorry he's just a freak of nature this guy is out of this world talented his vocal flexibility his range capabilities his control over his voice his technique his awareness of his voice is insane usually when you're singing live it's sort of the singers propensity especially when they have a lot to lose like in a competition or when they're just coming up as an artist and starting to make a name for themselves to sort of take risks but not not to the end of themselves right like to the audience that might be oh my gosh like that's amazing like that's his high that's all he's got but to the artists they know like I had another half step her whole stuff in me I really think that even though he's taking risks here he even has more to give but he's not afraid to give everything that he has within the context of that song when he's singing on a stage live it is so fun to watch not just amazing and like and I can't believe what I'm hearing but he's he's an actual entertainer he's playing with you as you're amazed on the first one in his head he's like please I got four more modulations to go I'm just getting warmed up this is my low no right and you're like oh my gosh II can't believe I didn't do right it's just insane beautiful job he is clearly a prodigy what an honor to get to react to such a talent
