Strange's that that buildup that moment that was just so incredibly satisfying hey everyone welcome back to the channel my name is Ken Levine and today we are doing another reaction but before we get into any of that please make sure that you hit the subscribe button and the notification bell that we really really helpful to me and to the channel let me know if I'm doing something right lets me know if you like this content and hey I totally get it sometimes I was really stingy when I was handing up my subs my subscriptions and listen you just need to know that it's it's not a marriage proposal man like nobody's gonna get pregnant it just really helps a channel like I say it helps me figure out what to do next in which direction I need to go into and how I can improve and I know that you will let me know how I can improve by leaving your comments in the comment section okay let's get started without further ado this is Numa by tool [Applause] it's getting his gear all tuned up just the way he likes it it's pretty dark in there oh not anymore she's working that rig behind him it's a lot of blinking lights [Music] he's a Larry Bird band Boston Celtics see from Boston is that his like hometown is that his deal I can see the guitarist off in the far right [Music] it's cute information to know I guess drummers are very particular about the drumsticks you know the six that they do is that they be use sticks they do [Applause] oh crap look at that crowd this is obviously part of a huge arena to her right this is poised and ready [Music] really odd meter they're starting with here that's really [Music] I can see why these drum cans are mesmerizing [Music] I love the synchronicity with the lead singer [Music] okay I'm just gonna stop it right there hang on um a few initial thoughts I love the synchronicity that he has with the lead singer like there's there's obviously a great deal of communication and practice that goes into that lead singers I am one are notoriously flaky about hitting the mark where they need to and and it's not because we don't want to it's just because we're focusing on different things and we're not trying to be prima donnas it's just sometimes you just forget you know in the middle of a performance and even if you've rehearsed it and rehearsed it that can happen these guys are locked in like the this drummer Danny Kerry is locked into Maynard James Keenan and that's that's really cool for me I'm kind of nerding out on that and a few other thoughts - Danny Kerry's like super fit and obviously is a huge arena tour probably I don't know if this is when with it was this filmed on the tour was it at the beginning or towards the end because it seems like they have everything dialed in and this is like you can hear everything so whoever mixed this concert is doing a brilliant job I'm gonna stop talking now and we've got another nine minutes to go here [Music] isn't that like your dream as a drummer to just like go crazy and in the middle of that like my great night dream [Music] [Music] I can't make it out much of the lyrics but I I guess that's not really the point of this video [Music] that posture and it looks like his eyes are open so he's locked in to the rhythm guitarist a lead guitarist making sure that they have the tempo of course he's probably got some in ear monitors as well I'm not 100% sure about that oh yeah no he's got that table coming down [Music] yeah [Music] that's really cool that's like some serious Pali metric rhythms they're like [Music] effortless totally in time [Music] are you guys listening is hearing the same thing like that is that doesn't sound easy to me he's making it look easy though [Music] feel like he's like a wizard around all of these called cauldrons and he's just taken the ingredients and he's brewing some incredible ocean why would I think of that [Music] just bringing all of these other elements in there keeping that Pali metric rhythm going you know what that is I why would I know [Music] I feel like I'm a little kid at story time here but this is incredible [Music] [Music] yes Opie crap [Music] oh yeah guys stop it right there like damn it that was incredible ah son of a Benedict Cumberbatch I mean ah I'm new to this whole drum cam video thing and I'm new to tool and I feel like I've wasted my life I had no idea that this band was like dr. Strange's for people that's kind of what I feel like than when I'm watching this this is amazing that that buildup that moment that was just so incredibly satisfying Wow I've I've wasted my life I have I have two main regrets in my life one is that I never accepted an invitation to play one-on-one basketball with Steve Nash when I was in grade 10 because I might have one and that would have changed my entire life and I never saw tool perform live because I think that it is a pretty special event and who knows if they will ever be performing again live I don't know anyway okay let's finish this out [Music] yeah [Music] look at the balance on his posture there Oh captain angry [Music] he's happy he's pleased about how that went so we're we're happy [Music] not now at playtime it's like yeah [Laughter] [Music] this is the afterglow right like this is this is why you guys suggested I should watch this it's back into that Pali metric rhythm [Music] the master rests I don't really have much to add to what I've already said that was absolutely brilliant performance yeah that's it that's it that's all I have to say I've wasted my life I need to have more tool my life so I'm a new fan and I'm looking forward to exploring more of their music as we move forward so thanks for sticking around please leave your comments in the comment section below good bad ugly whatever you think like to hear it all hmm and yeah we'll see you next time for another edition of metal Monday [Music]

Part of me feels sad for reviewer for knowing nothing about Tool. Another part, as a Tool lifer, feels peculiarly proud this reviewer recognized, acknowledged Tool's complexity, synchronicity and impact. I don't recall feeling 'proud' of Tool before; when you're around Tool fans, everybody already knows what's up.

Glad reviewer took the time to open up to Tool. At least now they know.

I feel like the whole "Reacts" thing is blown up too much at this point to where everyone is trying to get in on it and it's just overdramatic.

"Insert relevant job or hobby title - reacts to thing!"

But most of the time they add nothing other than pretending like they haven't already seen it and oohing and aahing. Like just because you play the guitar or sing at church, you're going to have some sort of authority or insight that we haven't heard? I dont know. I totally feel like I'm gatekeeping, but I really think all this is really, is just using someone else's art for your own clicks.
