fact that you are watching this video so in this video I'm going to show you how to save cost how you can just make make a yogurt Stutter from scratch this is one of the videos on how you can make a yogurt Stutter from scratch I'm also going to show you more affordable ways you can make yogurt stutter now this way instead of having to use one dried stutter to make one batch of yogurt I'm going to use one dry starter to multiply my starter and then I can use that to make about six or seven or eight or even nine right more batches of yogurt now to make this I am going to get my milk I want something thicker because this is going to Ser as our St or culture for the next batches now I'm just going to measure out my milk I hope you counted the cups that I added in there now because I want these to be a thick yogurt and also a starter for other ones I'm just going to use more milk for this okay I'm making a small batch something that is going to fill those containers you saw [Music] earlier now I'm going to write the total amount of water that I added to this on the screen I am I'm also going to write the total amount of um milk that I added to this right on the screen as well now one kg someone asked me a question right in the comment section in one of my previous videos that how many of these measuring cups is 1 kg now from my calculation remember um the cup I showed you guys in my previous videos if you haven't watch any of my yogurt videos please go and watch them now the cup the measuring cup that I showed you guys the cup that is calibrated right that particular cup um I tried using the measuring cup this small measuring blue measuring cup to measure out water and then know where um how many cups of water can make up 1 kg so I discovered of this cup is 1 kg the basic of all of these yogurt formulation are in my first yogurt video the second yogurt video before this so you want to go and watch the first one and the second one as well so that you'll be able to understand everything [Music] clearly [Music] we're going to bring this to a board so I'm going to keep staring so that some of the um fat does not stick under the pot and also it doesn't create something else at the top of the milk so I'm going to keep staring this until it becomes hot okay the point is to get this milk to be hot so that some bacterias and some things in it that we this bowl right here [Music] I actually forgot to strain this remember I I I love to strain I told you guys in my previous videos that it is better you strain it okay just get a SE and S it after boiling it because um sometimes there are stuffs that should not just be in your yogurt is is going to be left on the saeve if you strain it with it with a saeve okay so I am going to strain this I'm going to just get my saeve and strain [Music] it [Music] there were Deads in the milk it's left on the SE right now yeah I've actually brought out some things so I'm just going to take my milk back in here because this is where I want to um I want to incubate I want to incubate in this particular Bowl this particular plate you're seeing right here okay I'm going to be it's a small batch of milk I'm going to take it back then I am going to cool this using a cool [Music] bath this way your milk is going to cool down very very fast May if you're doing a big portion and there is no bigger bowl to cool down your milk in then you can just keep stiring it until it becomes warm okay you know we're supposed to like leave it warm that's the point leave it at a point where you can dip your finger in it for about 3 seconds comfortably or you can put it on your skin and you will not feel that it's burnt to you like you won't feel hot that's the point that we are supposed to add our um yogurt [Music] start so I'll be using this dry starter this dry starter is actually 1,500 n where I stay okay I don't know how much it is elsewhere but I bought this for 1,500 n so for it to quickly dissolve I have to add water okay you add water to it and dissolve it in this small cup because if I add it directly in the whole milk is not going to dissolve it's just going to uh um it's not going to dissolve [Music] okay so I'm just going to stir this and then I will wrap it the essence of it is to maintain this particular temperature to leave that heat inside that is the essence of it I'm still going to close this and then I am going to just um I'll be covering this I'll be wrapping this up with a towel and any other thing that you know is going to make your um to keep your milk warm okay just you have to protect the milk as much as you can so I'm going to just put it in here and I'll wrap this one as well I'm just trying to maintain this particular heat I'm trying to keep it there now one thing is to know that you actually succeeded to know that you didn't have a filled yogurt to know that you um the yogurt is a success when you bring it out in the morning the next day right once you touch the body of that bow that your milk your yogurt is inside is meant to remain warm not cold if you me yours cold just know that you did not you did suceed just know that you had a filled yogurt okay so it has to be warm if it is warm then it actually [Music] worked this is still warm right I'm just going to mix it very very [Music] well okay so I'm going to put it in my fridge let it cool for some time is it will become [Music] thicker now after that few hours later this is my yogurt you can see that it is thick now like thicker and not just thick this is so creamy so so creamy now if you notice something in my previous videos I have been adding sugar to my yogurt right so this particular one because I want this to be a starter I want this to bet other yogurts for me I want to use this to produce other yogurt I did not add sugar to it so it's meant to be unsweetened if you want to get the best result from it if you want to get the best result then it has to be unsweetened you don't sweeten it okay when you use this to make other batches of yogurt then you can sweeten it you can add sugar to it to sweeten it now I'm just going to transfer this into each of these botters if I want to make another yogurt I will just bring out one from the fridge and then I will turn it maybe measure a half cup of it or measure one cup depends on the um the quantity of yogurt that I'm making I'll measure out some from this and add to the yogurt I won't have to buy a St Dry St again okay I won't have to buy that I'm also going to bring up a video where I use this to
