VLOG | Daily life, Aussie Slang & Ordering Coffee

[Music] [Music] you know you mom what is going on so I've just gotten up well more or less I've been up working for a couple of hours but not really up so that's still in bed this has been a massive weekend I had a friend come down or come up come up from Melbourne and he hung out with us stayed here with us and we went all over the shop went to around Brazil around Brazil oh my gosh I am tired I've been practicing my Brazilian that's why I'm screwing up we were he went all around Canberra and we went up to the tower the tower in Canberra telstra tower and got swarmed by blance that were flying around and I actually dropped my phone and smashed the camera which is the first time I've ever done that and I was I was fuming I was fuming don't really pissed me off this ad big ant like this boy ants are really nasty look those up if you know what they are they sting they've really hurt and it flew right into my nose here underneath my glasses like up close to my eye and I was trying to film them at the time and drop the camera anyway yeah so got that fix that cost me like 50 bucks so thanks for that ants and I just thought I would show you sort of a little bit about my day today so I'm currently sitting at the window here just got up was practicing Portuguese that's why I've got Brazil in my mind looking out the window here this is the the backyard and the massive mansion next door but um I think it's time to go for a walk we've been eating garbage all weekend so we were eating oh yeah what do we have we went out we had fish and chips at the snapper restaurant down at the lake in Canberra then we went that same night after the fish and chips we went to grease monkeys which is on Lonsdale Street in Canberra which just has amazing burgers and beers so we did that smash that out and felt like I didn't want to eat for another day and then yesterday we drove two hours went from Canberra here all the way over to Batemans Bay which is down the coast and it's up over the Great Dividing range and then down it's really nice wet lots of trees rained a little bit went to the beach there practise some photography but then we also had pizza that night so I have been eating a lot of filth a lot of bad junk food a lot of garbage and I think it's time to go for a walk down to the store down at the mall nearby and get a salad because it's it's definitely time to start taking care of myself a little better now that my mates gone home so he bailed this morning he's driving back to Melbourne as we speak that's a cheeky little seven or eight hour drive for him so he's still going and Kells currently at work I'm bored woke up did some transcribing and then practice my Portuguese for about half an hour listening to a podcast called Cafe Brazil and yeah thought I would just make a little daily vlog here for you guys to practice your English with and head on down to the shops and let's see what we'll see vamos I forgot to mention guys I forgot to mention I got this little doodle aqui this little thing this is portable Wi-Fi that is connected to my phone and also my computer here so I've been trying to use the Wi-Fi here in this house and it is it is absolutely showers so it keeps dropping in and out in and out I'm trying to upload a video to YouTube or upload a podcast take half an hour and then it fails I'm like so anyway went out and got this and this thing effectively acts like my phone's Wi-Fi although it's a lot cheaper it's like 50 bucks a month or something and I get 90 gig so yeah looking forward to using that really easy got a SIM card put the SIM card in the thing you know slipped it in the back there once I opened it up and bam Internet perfect really quick I just have to be careful that I don't go over the limit because then I'll get slugged with a $10 fee two of these for every gig after the the ones that you have on your plans so anyway we'll see how that goes don't want to go over so there you go walking out of that house it's really weird living around here as there are a lot of mansions mansions mansions mansions all around and another funny thing I noticed the other night so we live here there's a big grass kind of bank or field in front of our house and the other night so look around us right this is all suburbia the other night we were driving up and there was some like three big kangaroos big males like about this tall just eating on the front yard I don't know where they've come from like they must biz this forest up the back so they must have come from from way up here and just make the rounds around the suburb trimming all the front lawns so too funny too funny wasn't expecting to see that you'll also be able to see there's a ton of embassies around this place so I'm not sure which flags these are but there are heaps and heaps and heaps of embassies and they're all at least most of them tend to be gated so they'll have these gates in front that's how you'll know they're embassies and then there's just other massive massive mansions all around here and actually I don't know if they're here today but usually the Federal Police Australian Federal Police the FP tend to be parked on the corner here I've got like four locations around this area where they park their car and you can see all the dirt here the grass has just been ruined because they park here every single day everything that's happening this area I'm not getting too much is that Garner I think I'm not sure but I'm another thing you'll notice is that all of these cars that are with the embassy have blue number plates right so you'll see these these blue number plates on all the cars that are used by the embassies so I don't know if they have different rules or different registration but you'll see these cars everywhere with these bright blue number plates with DC written on them small mansions here's another one here look at the size of this thing huge huh it's pretty ridiculous oh you guys seen the Australian bins rubbish recycling rubbish recycling yellow is recycling green here is rubbish red this place is suburban O'Malley's the suburb that we're in here but a good a good thing you'll notice about Canberra to this suburbs really good they have a lot of these small parks everywhere where they've kind of gone I've gotten really generous generous with how many trees they have around and they haven't just cleared everything and put down houses everywhere so it's kind of nice I've just found one of those bastard ants that I was telling you about these guys they are dangerous as and will if you hate them hate them whereas these guys where is he going cute and friendly harmless man every man and his dog has one of these nowadays it's crazy lots and lots of Mustangs in Australia who doesn't love grilled some good burgers and unfortunately horrible English too bad it's freezing outside we're really warm in here boy this is where I put the phone fix the other day oof lucky no I just have to hope that I didn't navigate this mall and find where calls in Safeway where that have forgotten so I see how I go I may get pretty lost in these places these are the kinds of places I'm talking that guys I love this stuff coffee and then [Music] yes and have you do your own check after just the heart of loneliness guys smash them salad in front of calls so we got here croutons may contain wheat no ice planar bacon so much look at all of that bacon sauce nice you know we got cheddar cheese or parmesan Tamas and cheese and a whole lot of lettuce that's pig's meal up for a weekend that wasn't the worst thing you've ever experienced the funny thing I noticed with this beard is the longer it gets the harder it is for me to tell when there's stuff in here so just watching now while I was eating I could see a little bit so I'm like how long have I been doing that for and how many people have been staring at me I [Music] think I totally should have gone to war with my salad because that one I feel like they totally skint on the bacon and Woolworths here only does a pretty good job next time next time but now now I reckon it's time to find a coffee what do you guys think it's always a coffee times good can I describe a large cat take away please no no sugars things like alright alright is there an ATM nearby do you know all right I'll go have a look another cafe that doesn't do card at the moment so I have to get some money up at the ATM see what a pain in the butt few hours ever want to get bread definitely go to Baker's delight it's an amazing bakery chain here in Australia get on it you guys see that sushi purple sushi is black rice I've been wondering for years when they were gonna use black rice and sushi here anyway got my money else Australia's colourful money it's time for try to you get this damn coffee that's okay amen you're on it there you go what would you have done if I hadn't come back thanks a lot you're okay you're good thank you very much all right guys well they made up for the men approach she'd already made it and it was just coming off the coffee machine as I arrived with the cash so good job guys good job anyway time to get out of here and walk home I guess see how we go Jase a touch hot hot hot bird decided to park it it was too hot on my hands so I'm just gonna sit here in the front JJ's enjoy the view and enjoy that coffee only in Australia would you have a shoe store called platypus named after a monitoring there you go guys that was it that was a cheeky day in the life of feet I guess
