Visiting the LARGEST market in Central America!! (Chichicastenango, Guatemala)

good morning y'all from lake atitlan guatemala today we're going to be traveling to a little town called chichi casta tango i hope i'm saying that right and there they have the biggest market in all of central america every sunday so to get there we got to get on one of these boats then we got to get in shuttle so it might be quite a journey and we got to get started so join us let's go josh got the best part of the cabin yeah look it look at my little crib he was up here smoking zoops and shag and sheilas last night an average day at the office the road over there is under like big construction so there's redirecting everybody through this car wash instead [Music] sick [Music] we made it to chichi all the streets are crazy busy because there's so many people coming from out of town to sell their goods it's not just a local market people come from all over to chichi did you ever go to like a busy place with your parents and they make you wear like ridiculous colors so they could find you in a crowd um that was my parents when we went to like ski hills and stuff like i had to wear like a rage just like colored snow pants like make sure i could see you don't go out of our sights boys see he's got the right idea [Music] that's my favorite part of my culture is baby knapsacks yeah for real oh my gosh this place is crowded [Music] [Music] ah yes not for him he's picky you do you make these my mom your mom you work with yourself family business can i see um this is my job in guatemala they have a lot of uh jade is that yes this is jay and so where where in guatemala do they get all the jade this is from zakapa zakappa that's a region in guatemala where they find where where does jade come from like rivers or do they have to mine it how do you make jade it's a mikey this is ground this is uh i'm from it comes from this yes this is a volcanic storm oh okay because there's so many there's so many volcanoes it comes from the volcanic stone this stuff is beautiful they selling the flutes for because that guy started at 120. yeah exactly this guy's still here he's still here i just don't understand he doesn't understand that we just don't want to flute let's go this way yeah exactly that's what we're trying to say we do respect the hustle but like it's something we don't want in our small suitcases hey hi guys it was really good i want in here this is great everywhere like consistency and like texture obviously it looks like a banana yeah there's like this like aftertaste of an apple juice i'll be trying but i'm pretty good slightly it's more so a banana e2 gusto yeah i do get that slight appley aftertaste [Music] oh the whole thing gracias okay he gave me the rest of this um our grandparents generation a mango yeah yeah i love you eating them with there are so many people coming in and out of the city today it's so loud to bend their goods just outside the market the streets are so crowded with little collectibles and chicken buses and there's just so many people trying to get into the city it's outrageous this table you're right this table is moving by itself yeah clubs oh they have these crabs and they're they're wrapped in the banana leaf oh my god very cool stand sir oh a little doggo and chicharon i like this little stand i got cheat your own and a bunch of other dried dried murder wow confetti oh i would like one of those i've never been so excited for a gatorade in my life it's a glass bottle gracias adios we left the market and came to the edge of town here where we found this beautiful colorful cemetery i think it's just a great spot to wrap things up what a fun day we just had in chichi castanego at their weekly sunday market we're going to be in guatemala for maybe a couple more weeks and throughout the rest of
