initially in the morning we had the reports of the different programs that was held in during the entire in the beginning of the edtech unit performance we had update from the teacher broadcasters tv tv head advisor bats he reported that the ongoing rehearsals and shootings are still being done for the second and third quarter and he promised that everything will be finished in the fourth quarter for the last uh learning management uh system head advisor mark anthony papa he gave us an update that the learning system had been provided with so many materials for students and teachers wherein they will they can have the access being provided so that they can use it for their learning and for the teachers the pd lms which is providing the teachers also the different materials which they can use and provide for their students all these are being accessible in the depth and commons the next is the update of miss mom wang reyes which is about the google certification as per date she's uh still in an ongoing process of certifying and training teachers so that these teachers will get to multiply themselves meaning teacher training another teacher in the technology and this is for free and also we have the update of sir madge as per the google microsoft and also the e2 line and the intula is being highlighted because this is the seven to seven tutorial sessions given by the different depth and specialist attacked for the different subjects teaching them recapping with them reviewing with them the lessons in the modules also we have the into life new schedules for the next set of programs but so much promise that they will be giving more exciting activities in the future in the afternoon we had the update uh the top of sir mark anthony asi who who discussed about the synchronous and asynchronous learning he said that the importance of the asynchronous and synchronous learning will intensify and give a premium to the to whatever the lessons are given in school because because of the pandemic the internet has been given much importance and this will highlight the the synchronous and asynchronous because we realized that our country has been given the chance to update ourselves because in terms of our connections here there's an ongoing updating of our infrastructure in terms of internet connection which was the main concern of our teachers in the field as was discussed yesterday uh yesterday's activities therefore thrashed out all the concerns of teachers in terms of internet connection also the glamour for learning of new technologies to assist teachers in the teaching learning process also there is a need for a more or a different collaboration among stakeholders according to sir mark and that will be possible through the deaf ed central office support down to the field so that the teachers will be the ones to confidently implement the ones being carried out by the department of education also the registration was an influx of so many teachers faculty and parents also which have shown the excitement and interest of teachers and all these stakeholders to learn to implement and the willingness to learn maybe not only asynchronous and synchronous learning and much more for the next days to come as what was said yesterday the inset is mainly to get to listen to the teachers and students and parents needs and then after that i guess there is a much more difficult task or maybe a much more challenging task which is to address all these concerns and these concerns will be given and will be raised up to the authorities our adept officials for a more collaborative and more creative way to augment if not solve the department of education's concerns in assisting the teachers and mainly for the learners so with that i hope you unit again miss joy g salazar has earned 17 years of teaching experience and became a subject area coordinator in computer education in a private institution she joined in 2020 as a deputy teacher broadcaster teaching the subject in the passions or esp for grade 8. consequently she became part of the deputy as a tutor in esp4n7 a synthetic specialist of the information and communication technology service educational technology unit or icts exec unit at the dep ed central office her expertise in the information and communications technology made her join and be part as an ethnic became one of the main trainers and epu microsoft programs lead spearheading different projects at the icts headset unit she is also one of the debit open educational resources national core leaders our objectives at the end of the session the participants will be able to determine the benefits of educational tv programs discuss the steps in integrating tv episodes in their lesson and third is to encourage the learners to watch that tv episodes as supplementary materials in learning all television is a great way to open a child's mind to a variety of things and help them learn about topics they may not be exposed to at school on the other hand television can reinforce what children learn in school and provide a supplementary method in teaching children about important subjects now let for children that featured a mix of human and puppet characters became a cultural touchstone for many filipinos it becomes so popular um that is still being brought up during casual conversations today years after it went off the air we also have all right so we also have different um educational team educational programs like bayani which dramatizes um historical events and the lives of the filipino historical heroes as well as their accomplishments from the perspective of two elementary school students who magically travel back in time to retrieve historical items for an old person we also have hiraya manawari focuses on providing values education for children through adaptation of filipino stories and legends or original stories of course we also have once upon a time and we have sine escuela which is a curriculum based show in line with the science classes of public elementary students from grade 2 to grade 6 in the philippines we also have apple apple martinique all right those were the tv educational programs but how about today have you heard of this sound department of education announced the initialization of educational classes through blended learning in the midst of the coveted 19 pandemic in the philippines yes you know what um teacher me i say i'm also teaching multimedia in junior high school yes [Music] so [Applause] you might have video lessons it educational classes through blended learning in the midst of the povid19 pandemic in the philippines among many options is to broadcast learning modules on television and radio now this at this point let us try to discuss what are the benefits of dia all right wait all right so let's try to discuss what are the benefits of educational television first if we can help a child's intellect in many studies researchers have observed how educational programs can aid in boosting children's intellect surprisingly children aged 2-7 who watch a few hours of educational television programs per day perform better on academic tests than those who do not watch tv they also found children who spent most of their television time watching shows like cartoons scored lower than those who viewed educational ones therefore it is important to monitor what your children are watching and show them educational programs as opposed to simply letting them watch cartoons so later i will show you the different different tv episodes that we have next um tv can show children things they wouldn't see otherwise all right so without television most children will never be able to see amazing things like exotic animals different cultures and beautiful cities for example nature shows and history programs are great resources for teaching children about creatures and places that they're never heard of kids can learn from this type of media in order to appreciate and understand the world around them next is that all right so tv can provide good role models for children when children watch television they are bound to influence by the characters they see allowing your children to watch shows with characters who promote positive messages like healthy living and helping others will influence them to make good choices next is that all right x is that calibration provides the use of theatrical materials and techniques although also students are able to see current events as they are happening all right and then the next slide is that television provides a visual and auditory presentation of course television has a dramatic impact all right nowadays young learners are being taught to the positive learners so you should note that learning needs active engagement and to sustain or generate interest and pay attention to ideas this is where educational television comes in offering attention and interests now as uh mentioned by mr salvador men and salah the first yesterday um that tv is uh uh delivering a video lessons on ibc 13 from 7 00 a.m to 7 00 p.m monday to saturday and it also offers a lesson for all grade levels by a free tv um local televisions digital blog boxes and digital terrestrial tv all right so let me show you um example um program or the schedules that ibc 13 and also ibc pb13 fb page is showing so if you will notice um we have their tv episode starts with tinder at 7 35 we also have mtb one uh two and three um on monday we have mathematics english and if you will notice at around 5 35 we have their senior high school um subjects so like oral communication reading and the life so we have here sample program for tuesday so we have their filipino subject esp subject and later in the afternoon you will also notice they have their empowerment technology philosophy physical science and um even us or alternative learning system i also have here sample program for wednesday um so we have their music and arts um [Music] from grade 1 to grade 10 we also have aralim li punen and thursday once again if you will notice at around five o'clock in the afternoon we have their senior high school um subjects so until friday and until uh we also there schedule for saturday all right now at this point um you have different steps on how to access the default tv episodes uh on my case i just copied the link here for my presentation and i am proudly uh uh present to you some of the sample tv episodes that is uploaded in the youtube channel all right so i will just link my presentation to youtube then as you open the defendtv official youtube channel you can have their thousands of tv episodes that was produced and um uploaded in youtube so that is from kinder until senior high school so let me show you some example of every episode of the kinder so here we have here um kinder one episode one then let's try to watch a few seconds of this um all right yeah so television can be utilized as a great educational tool though not everything about the effect of television is understood in general or specifically about its effects on young children educational television seems to be appropriate in moderation especially to help reinforce class work television also is a great tool in educating teenagers and adults television must be employed intelligently if we consciously make decisions to use television responsibly then great things can be accomplished all right so that is the end of the presentation [Music] thank you mom joy could access the material and watch the tv lesson for that people for that lesson so a little expansive comprehensive store and making it accessible to our learners yes and we also would like to inform all the teachers for that the web and tv episodes are actually based on the most essential learning competencies because of the pandemic now actually um shortly surveillance uh the students are really um should not stop learning as much as possible through the help of the edtech unit and as well as partnering with uh headed by uh mr paulovich i can still remember from the deputy yes uh alternative to that yes so i think sir we can move to the q a portion of our presentation for today so we will now be reading the questions that we have arrested from our audience today okay sir jeff right so good morning first um let me discuss the good of course as i mentioned earlier um multimedia is very useful and effective uh as many researchers um and studies were in the performance on academic uh the academic performance of the children is higher compared to those who are not watching the educational television programs but of course one of the bad effect is that if these children are not guided okay for example by their parents or by their teachers um they might be exposed to uh um different programs that is not appropriate to their age okay so maybe that's one of the bad effects of multination right so make sure that the learners are guided as they um then we're going to discuss and i don't see that in terms of the utilization of these um lessons i think it's just we need our we need to show guidance to our learners screen because it might have it might impose especially visual problems i have this because he is always um he is always glued on his screen visual [Applause] to use gadgets for a long attention span so it's not more of the utilization of the video lessons but we must emphasize giving guidance teachers everything has their own good and bad effects but as long as you just consume it in moderation yes are you ready for the second question okay take it away okay so this will be the second question um it's from okay not holy spirit national high school question city so this is the question okay it's the importance of multi-media materials in online teaching modality all right um actually i'm so we have a variety of options okay so you can also discover um on uh not only online but also offline resources okay um one of the advantages of multimedia when it comes to online learning is that depending is those are actually one the question is how can we promote the educational classes in that tv channel if in the school level itself is not promoting or encouraging students to also utilize this kind of platform that is why i am reporting today enabled for you to utilize and browse those tv episodes that we have and integrate it to your lesson okay so later this afternoon try to browse those tv episodes that is um aligned to your subject area you can use those yes mom and joy and um another information and then i'll teach me because i've since i'm part of um one of their tech specialists assigned to that tv right now we are conducting road shows yes so since so those are actually the uh video episodes it will be hard for us we're going to produce all of those video episodes that in in what way so we can use it in the presentation part of our lesson and then facilitate learning you know after watching the the lessons competency so why not use it yeah and facilitate learning after watching my teachers because we are quality video lessons division is and process of knowledge production to understand the importance of video lesson in the new normal in education and to produce a one minute infomercial for depth at tv using the materials given by the speakers tv so the first the first question is what is video productions video production video production is a creative process of producing videos that convey a clear message to its audience see pixabay and video production the first stage is pre-production reciprocation it is when the seed of your video is planted in short it involves identifying your goals and audience crafting the initial video concept and practical planning such as budget set and afterwards reproduction is the planning stage actually [Music] [Music] answer the stage i think of uh production stage of production production stage now this is the stage of production where you shoot your videos in front of the camera this is the stage where you find you finally get to make the due to how it jumps the scene in time it's usually done within the same frame or composition [Music] anikatlo i am montage a montage is an editing technique that can signify the passage of time flashback or an artistic compilation of imagery often underscore with music [Music] [Music] dissolving between the clips can signify a passage of time or it can use the overlapping layers or dissolve to show multiple stories or scenes happening at once but shot in different times hindi mandalas wipe away one clip and reveal the necks katula and dissolve transition and wipe transition can be digitally programmed or ma are in preset or available nasa editing software nagina gamit mo there are basic wipes like in star wars diagonal side to side and there are more complex wipes and
